No follow through. Write prescriptions for everything. Does not follow up with patients after placing on new medications. Doesn’t follow up on patients with high blood pressure. Had a friend with dangerously high blood pressure and he didn’t address it in the office. He didn’t say anything. I found out about it when my friend told me what her blood pressure was in the office. She left his care

My wife is currently having sciatica issues. She’s been in extreme pain for a week with no relief from anything that has been prescribed to her or given to her. The hospital advised her to follow up with her PCP and a Neurologist because she is having issues due to degenerative disc disease (sciatica). That is what she did. Dr. Balenalli told her that she needs to lose weight and stretch out the muscle. He would not give her any medication to help with the pain because she currently takes behavioral health medicine, specifically.5 MG of Xanax. He gave her a referral for a pain specialist though (??), that she can’t see for 7-14 weeks because they need a prior authorization from the insurance before she can be seen. If he doesn’t believe she is in pain, why refer her to a pain specialist ? If you see that she is in pain, why not give her pain meds to last until she can see the pain specialist ?? Mind you ... she’s been on .5 MG of Xanax for over 10 years ... behavior meds since she was 15. I am quite confused as to what her behavioral meds have to do with her sciatica pain 🤷🏼‍♀️ Waste of time. This place is a joke.

If you require medications that need a prior authorization, go somewhere else. They do not return phone calls and the office manager is COMBATIVE. This left my 83 y.o. mother without medication for over a week. Zero bedside manner here and they use a storage room as an exam room for elderly patients....I dont know what this is when they have other rooms available but I will say it is rude, uncaring and a filthy way to practice medicine. Take your loved ones somewhere else, there is much better care out there.

Its hard to give a review for a doctor who refuses to see you because a previous doctor prescribed sleeping pills for chronic insomnia. I tried to make an appointment with this doctor who a friend recommended. First thing they ask when you call is what meds you take. Told me they had an appointment at the end of April, but would check my insurance and call me back. The next day they called to say they checked my prescriptions and I was prescribed sleeping pills in the past. Now suddenly the doctor has no new patient appointments which the day before he did. I said I dont need to get in until June or July and now they have no appointments until August and they wont precribe sleeping pills. I dont even take them anymore. Obviously they were lying and want nothing to do with me because I have a medical condition and temporarily needed sleeping pills. Why would you run my prescriptions if you have no new patient appointments??? Wow, just wow! Complete discrimination. I guess only go here if you have only medical problems that the doctor approves of treating like high blood pressure. Unbelievable!

I chose this Dr from a co worker recommendation as my primary md. It is close to where I work. First phone call to schedule appt, I was informed this dr does not write scripts for controlled substances. This was before I even gave my name, etc.. I just moved here from Chicago and haven’t seen a dr for over a year. All I needed was to be seen for bp and cholesterol meds. The receptionist/nurse was not friendly and after three days still have not received a phone back regarding an appt. I will be getting a different primary.

I had a zero balance for my preventive check up a year ago and returning today l paid my 20 dollar copay and was told I owed for previous year. When I tried to explain there was zero balance and never received any bills over the past year a business office woman was called who screamed at me embarrassing me in front of others. To top it off the doctor refused to listen to reason making excuses for his business office unprofessional behavior telling me“business is hard because it’s the only business that a person like me has to wait to be paid “ I told him that it was not worth my time to argue over a mere 20 dollars but that he is not allowed to charge for yearly preventive medical anyway. And there are plenty of hard working business people who have to “wait for their money” I will never go back.

Dr. Balenalli is a caring doctor who listens and answers questions. He takes the time needed with each of his patients. He and his staff are personable and friendly. They are quick to address patient needs. I once forgot my lab order for fasting labs, and Dr. Balenallis office faxed it to the lab almost immediately so I could move forward. For routine appointments, I usually wait over an hour before seeing Dr. Balenalli, but he apologizes for the wait. My response is that he is worth waiting for. You may have to wait to see him, but that is because he spends time with his patients based on their needs. I am very satisfied with Dr. Balenalli and his staff and I recommend them.

Well father has been going here for years, against advice from close family members. Sometime last year father told dr. He had shortness of breath. He prescribed a inhaler. Well he has cancer. Diagnosis is not thanks to Dr. Balenalli. You need basic prescriptions this Dr. will be just fine. If you have medical problems that need a real Dr. attention I would stay away.

2011, diagnosis, have sjogrens, connective tissue disease, really disabletating, painful. 2011 went on pain regimen. He supplied, along with RA doctors regimen. New laws, 2p19, cut off pain pills stated I didnt need them anymore, and yelled at me for people like me to go somewhere else. I do travel for a living. Will be turning him into the AZ Med board.

When I called to make a new patient appointment, the first question asked was what medications do I take, then what is my name and age. Those are NOT the first questions that should be asked. I was then asked for my phone number so they could get back to me to let me know if they are accepting new patients. They called me back two days later. That is SO unprofessional, I will NEVER recommend this doctor to anyone. I wish I could give negative stars.
