Thorough explanation of the extent and nature of injury. Madr more sense than the previous diagnosis because more effort went into explaining and describing what had happened. Recommended.

My recent shoulder replacement was my 4th joint replacement, due to rheumatoid arthritis. I will need to have the other shoulder done as well in the future and I wouldnt consider any other surgeon than Dr. Peers. Many other reviewers have testified to his care and professionalism. I certainly agree with that, but I have always been treated as a person who mattered, and I felt that Dr. Peers and his staff wanted to do their very best for me.My case was a little special in that it was scheduled at a time when hospitals were canceling elective surgeries. Dr. Peers fought for me, and I was able to have mine on schedule and went home that afternoon. That evening, I experienced rather bad nausea. Scott Seipel was available that evening and really helped me through it. I cant say enough good things about Dr. Peers and his entire staff.

I met Dr. Peers yesterday for an initial consultation. Prior to scheduling the appointment, I had researched physician profiles and patient reviews for many orthopedic surgeons in the area. I chose Dr. Peers because of his academic and professional background, having graduated with honors and completed fellowships at Cleveland Clinic in Ohio - which is highly ranked as a leader in the country for orthopedic care. Even more so, I chose Dr. Peers because of how impressed I was with his patient reviews. And after my visit yesterday, I consider his Google Reviews spot on. Prior to meeting Dr. Peers, we had the pleasure of meeting Kat, his assistant. Kat was warm and cheerful, kind and personable. I told her how much we appreciated her kindness. It was evident, because of how warmly and cheerfully we were treated by everyone (or the tenor of the office) that the practice enjoys good leadership. Most importantly, Dr. Peers was as wonderful as his reviews described. He warmly greeted my husband and I. His smile was evident - even behind his COVID mask. He shared some humor in our introductions, which made us smile. He was warmly disarming. I’ve not met a doctor as personable. And thats uncommon with his qualifications. Dr. Peers was able to diagnose my condition with confidence, intelligence and professional, frank candor. He also has an uncommon ability to be perfectly professional and warmly personable at the same time. He treated us yesterday like we were the only patients he had to see. Dr. Peers asked about us personally and even took time to compliment my work as an addiction therapist. My husband - who also needs work on his shoulder - has met with three different orthopedic surgeons from Franklin, Indiana to Indianapolis, but he didnt feel comfortable choosing any to perform the surgery he needs. Until yesterday. He chose Dr. Peers. I havent yet asked my husband what impressed him most. But I’d guess its a combination of things. 1. The trust we have in Dr. Peers educational excellence, exceptional fellowships at Cleveland Clinic, and testimonials/reviews of his professionalism and practice. 2. His knowledge and confidence put us at ease. 3. Although his intelligence is evident, he treated us with such humble grace. And warmth. And humor. And human kindness. Having had to have two painful injections yesterday (in my thumb and shoulder), Dr. Peers humanity made my visit so much better than it could have been. In a world where people are busy and unconcerned, it warmed my heart to feel that Dr. Peers undoubtedly cared. I was so nervous about the thumb injection, I jerked before he even stuck me! And still, Dr. Peers so warmly apologized. And took a moment preparing me for the shot again. After my thumb injection, Dr. Peers offered me time - if I thought I needed it - to gather myself before he injected the shoulder. Few doctors do that. Being a health provider myself, I know that time spent with patients is often monitored, with efficiency being more important than courteous care. Perhaps the reason my husband chose Dr. Peers yesterday was because he sensed exactly what I felt: a high level of intelligence blended with patience. Dr. Peers answered every one our questions in a way we could clearly understand. And he shared advice he didnt have to. He showed genuine compassion, shared comforting assurance, a caring spirit and he provided some physical comfort as he injected my thumb and my shoulder. Ive never had a doctor care as much. Whatever the reason my husband chose Dr. Peers going forward as his surgeon, I’m so thankful to have met Dr. Peers and I trust him wholeheartedly with my familys care.

Dr. Peers is not only an outstanding surgeon, but a great doctor. Takes the time to explain procedures thoroughly and answer all questions clearly. You dont get herded out the door so he can rush off to the next patient. Dr. Peers exemplifies what the ideal doctor should be. I would highly recommend him to anyone and if I have any further injuries, he will be my first call.

I was truly a wonderful experience with Dr. Peers. Dr. Peers accessed my particular wrist issue and resolved it - immediately. I had been seeing three other medical professionals before being referred to Dr. Peers. I was in pain about 8 months before seeing Dr. Peers. Dr. Peers accessed my situation on the first visit. The second visit was the required surgical procedure. The result was amazing. My wrist was relieved of the constant pain (right hand got closed in the elevator doors at work). The surgical scar is faintly noticeable. Excellent work!I call Dr. Peers a Surgical Rock Star.

I was referred to Dr. Peers by a doctor that I have been seeing for many years for sports injuries. He said that Dr. Peers was the man to talk to about a shoulder injury. I showed up and within an hour I was given more information and a more in depth look at what had happened to cause this injury. I was told surgery would be the best option and within 48 hours Dr. Peers had me on the table and was surgically repairing my torn pec. The checkup process and rehab process was very easy and everything was explained thoroughly. I have had no problems since the surgery and am eager to see how far I am able to go after this minor set-back.

Dr. Peers is likely the best surgeon for shoulder problems in the Midwest. My shoulder and bicipital tendon were badly torn with a fall and I am now pain-free with a fully functional shoulder. Also, my PT there was very helpful! Update: I am now almost one year out and pain free with full function of my shoulder. A perfect outcome in my book!

My husband suffered for 2 years with shoulder pain after Dr Peers saw him for a workman’s comp injury. Dr Peers told my husband he didn’t need surgery and sent him to PT and gave him 2 steroids injections and sent him on his way. He suffered through the pain and took the word of Dr Peers. After being unable to stand the pain anymore we got our own second opinion. Full thickness rotator cuff tear and torn bicep tendon. Should of been surgically repaired when he first saw Dr Peers! After surgery with a competent surgeon, 4 screws, and a repaired bicep tendon later he is finally on the mend. Absolute shame he suffered for 2 years unnecessarily! Would not recommend Dr Peers to anyone!

I had a great experience with my 1st visit with Dr. Peers. The staff was very professional, I was called back in a very timely manner. I felt like Dr. Peers and his Nurse Practitioner spent ample time listening to my concerns. I went to see Dr. Peers for a second opinion on a complex old hand injury I had to see if anything else could be done. The great thing I really felt like they listened to me.. I did not feel rushed during the visit. With my complex history of hand problems, Dr. peers suggested bringing in his partner who specializes with type of surgeries I had in past to my next appt. I really appreciate his suggestion in the fact I get 2 different set of views in the same appt which will help decide the right course of treatments to take. . I felt Dr. Peers and his Nurse Practitioner went way above and beyond to assure the best care and treatment.

Dr Peers completed surgery on my wrist that was totally botched by a Surgeon in Florida. After having wrist surgery in Florida, my recovery was not going well. I had limited use of the hand and there was continual pain. I searched the internet looking for a specialist to review the X-rays to determine why I was in so much pain. Immediately upon looking at the X-rays, the first words out of Dr. Peers mouth was this is bad, this is really bad. The Florida surgeon had used the wrong plate and used screws that were to long. Five of them were outside the bone rubbing on the tendons. He said this needed to corrected or the screws would tear the tendons which would be another major surgery. Dr. Peers completed corrective surgery and I had a fast and painless recovery. I have zero pain in the wrist and it functions as well as the other wrist. I cant say enough good things about Dr. Peers. I will not go anywhere else for should to finger issues. He is professional, informative and meets with you after the surgery to ensure the recovery is proceeding correcty. He basically saved my ability to function normally without pain. Ten Stars for Dr. Peers.
