As a vendor for this company i would just like to warn other vendors. I went and taught CPR for this building in May as i did several times before. Was assured that I would be paid in the normal 45 days from the invoice being sent over even though they were being taken over by a different company. I am still waiting for my payment as of today. I have attempted to call SEVERAL times and am never able to speak to anybody but the receptionist who says she is emailing smbody yet i never get contact info for that “smbody”. I have left several voicemails for the accounts payable person and never get a call back. Very frustrating! All I want is my payment that I am owed.

I have lengthy experience seeing the care of my family members, including my cousin, with nursing homes, senior assisted living and rehabilitation facilities so I have a good benchmark for comparison. My cousin has been at Summer Trace for over a year and the overall experience of ManorCare of Summer Trace is exceptional and high quality. The facility is clean, neat and inviting. The food is nutritious, flavorful and appealing. The staff are the finest I have experienced. They are very knowledgeable of their field of work and soundly execute their job duties. They also, without exception, show compassion and empathy toward the residents as they personally care for them. The communication, concerning my family member and her care, is excellent and very timely. I highly recommend ManorCare at Summer Trace!

We dont know where we would be without the support and care offered by the team to our grandparents. They made the abrupt move from North Carolina to Manor Care easy and welcoming. Our family appreciates the continued work from both branches within Manor Care (assisted living and the skilled nursing rehabilitation). We so appreciate that our grandparents can spend all day together while having their very different needs met, in a comfortable environment. Exposing our young kids to see their great grandparents at Manor Care so often has also been invaluable

I have a family member that was on the rehab unit here recently after a scare in the hospital and the staff was above and beyond what I expected. They became like a second family to us in this time of healing for my Mother. The NP was very hand on and visited with my Mother often. This was reassuring that my Mom was getting her needs met. The nurses were all very welcoming and efficient with any concerns we had. The therapy staff was very involved patient and kind. I believe they recently got a new Director Of Nursing and she was a great amazing, very hands on and personable. She was always personally handling concerns of ours and involved in our care plans. I hope we dont have to go there again but if we did, they are a facility that I would trust my Loved ones care to.

I came to Manor Care at Summer Trace as a rehab patient over two years ago. They entire staff was great in putting me back together. I was grateful for everybody who helped me.Shortly after I retired,I looked to do some volunteer work. It was a logical choice to return to the place and people who helped me. I have been working there for two years doing various tasks as needed. The staff at Manor Care is very caring and pleasant. The facility is clean and well run. If I saw problems I would simply volunteer somewhere else. I will continue to help out as long as they will have me.Joseph Kosoglov

We found ourselves in the difficult position of needing to find an assisted living placement for my mother after having her live with us for two years. After touring many assisted living facilities we were most impressed by Kim Hannons presentation of Summer Trace in Carmel. Her guidance, availability and empathy were appreciated by not only my mom but also myself and my husband. My mom was understandably concerned with her need to live in assisted living. Kim helped her feel much more comfortable and focused on the positives of a life lived in her own apartment safely with assistance and her increased opportunities for socialization. Kim was an invaluable asset to us from our first tour through the move in transition and even now to my mom who has been happier than she has been in years as a resident at Summer Trace. Thank you Kim.

A caring staff on the front lines. However, recent management changes are pushing these fine people too hard. Had to move my mother to a facility with higher staffing.

We were looking for an independent retirement community for my mother-in-law that was close and yet provided the ability to socialize with new friends, provide a shuttle services for activities, church services, and errands. Manor Care has been a blessing. The staff has and continues to assist us every step of the way. Kim Hannon and Amy Brammer care about the residents like they are family. They go above and beyond to meet the residents every need and keep the family informed if anything comes up. Thank you Kim and Amy for your love and kindness! Kendra Geis

Dont bother trying to get into their assisted living apartments if youre on Medicaid. They say they accept the Medicaid Waiver, but in reality they require private pay ($4500+/month) for 18 months before theyll transition you to the Medicaid Waiver.I was on their waiting list for 2 years and then they spring this on me. They are liars! Who can afford $4,500/month if they qualify for Medicaid? Nobody! Its a scam.
