We went for a lip and tongue tie revision. Everyone was incredibly friendly. When I mentioned we would be leaving the state & needed a tongue and lip revision, they were able to get us in so quickly. Doctor Newman took his time and explained everything us. The procedure was quick and we were in and out.

I’ve been a patient for over 10 years. I really love the staff and my favorite Dental Hygienist, Tawnya. Dr. Don is kind and attentive. He’s very thorough explaining treatments plans and offering options for crowns. I would highly recommend this practice to anymore.

I recently had my second yearly cleaning at Newman Family Dentistry (Carmel location) and just like the first one earlier this year, it was a much better experience than I anticipated. Prior to 2021, 3-4 years had passed since my last professional cleaning and I was quite nervous. However, the professionalism and care provided by both the dental hygienist (shoutout to Lindsay, she is wonderful!) and the dentist himself made the experience of both cleanings the best I have had yet in a dentist’s office. Both cleanings this year marked the first time ever I have not bled upon having tartar and plaque buildup scraped at my gum line.All in all, I am very happy to have found such an awesome dental practice and I highly recommend Newman Family Dentistry for anyone looking to upgrade their dental experience.

Impressed with how seamless they have made the process of revising a baby’s tongue tie. I really appreciated the online consult, they understand how difficult it can be driving with an infant. Really informative discussion and paperwork given so no mistakes are made for home care. Dr. Newman was extremely nice. They give you some time in a private room afterwards to nurse baby and soothe them to comfort.

Called in to get a repair on a filling. This was probably the third filling repair. I understood that I needed a crown, but I could not afford a crown. Anyways, after calling in and scheduling an appointment, I was told by the doctor that I needed a crown. I went into the office expecting a repair since that is why I made the appointment. I was also talked to like I had an IQ of 2. The experience put a bad taste in my mouth, and I was willing to pay for the repair, and I ended up leaving with the knowledge of that I still needed a crown and ended up being charged for an exam fee of about $75. All in all, not a good experience at all. I hope the customer service of the office will become better.

Great experience! Everything was explained thoroughly and staff was very friendly. Its never easy to hand your baby to someone knowing theyre going to be in some pain. It was quite comforting knowing she was in good hands.

Dr. Newman and the staff was awesome! My 2 month old son was referred Dr. Mikel for his tongue tie and top lip tie. My son was seen pretty quickly so there was not a long wait period. Dr Newman talked me through what would happen with the procedure and how to treat it afterwards. I was given the time to answer any questions and he even took the time to demonstrate to me how to treat the areas during recovery. I had a great experience and the procedure went well! An absolute treat of an experience. Front desk was friendly and helpful!Since my most recent visit, my teeth have become twice as strong. I chew concrete gum now, and if necessary, I am pretty confident I could stop a bullet with this gleaming smile.Only problem is that I accidentally blinded my neighbor when the sun hit my teeth at the wrong time of day. It unfortunately reflected and shot a beam of light straight through his living room window.Overall. 5 stars would recommend.

Dr Mikel was very friendly and did a great job explaining our son’s procedures to us. He was great at interacting with our 3mo old and keeping him happy during the initial dental exam. The office staff were friendly and accommodating. I appreciated that they allowed plenty of time for soothing and comforting our baby before heading home. Dr Mikel provided easy instructions for post-procedure care and made it seem less intimidating than the videos we had watched before the appointment. Would definitely refer our friends to Dr Mikel!

I absolutely love this place. I am new to this dentist office, I think Ive had two or three visits now. The staff is so professional, and the owners do a great job of planning to protect patient and employee health. During the early phases of the pandemic, these dentists were on the forefront of changing office policies to reflect CDC guidelines on minimizing the spread. In regards to working in your mouth they are very gentle and thorough. They are also a pleasure to speak with on a personal level. I will definitely continue to come here as long as they will have me. 😁

I went to Dr. Mikel Newman to fix my newborn daughters tongue and lip ties. It was very expensive and the office required payment up front then they would send an invoice to your insurance for reimbursement. First they did consultation to confirm the lip and tongue tie then Dr. Mikel went through the procedure in detail. At NO point until I agreed to the procedure was I aware that they would take her AWAY from me! I had to sit in the room and listen to her scream and cry without being able to comfort her. Not to mention I had to be masked the entire time and my NEWBORN BABY has never seen my face with mask. I will NOT go back to this office ever again!

Went here for my 10 week old to get his tongue and lip tie released and everyone was super nice and professional! They evaluated him and decided to go ahead and do it that day! The actual laser release took less than 10 minutes and I got to go in with him and comfort him right after! Just had our week follow up and he’s healing great! Already so much improved! Dr. Newman and his staff were so great!

I LOVE Doctor Michael Newman. I might have spelled his name wrong. But he is amazing with my son. We have gone since my son was 3 months old and he had both a lip and tongue tie. Dr. Newman corrected it quickly and we just had our fourth visit with him and my son has a full mouth of teeth now! He’s still scared of the dentist and Dr Newman did an amazing job of calming him down, showing him the tools and letting him touch things before they started. He’s incredibly patient and such a nice guy. I make the 40 minute drive to see him because it’s worth it!

My 3 yr old just had her first dental visit here and she loved her experience! They made her feel so comfortable and made it seem fun to go tot the dentist. Dentist was very nice and informative about toddler teeth spacing and was highly recommended for baby’s tongue tie issues.

Dr.Newman (Mikel) got us in and out quickly after finding our babies ties that everyone else denied or dismissed for months. I love that they have the option to do consults via text as it makes it much easier for those of us who travel to him. He was friendly, explained everything, and made us feel comfortable sending our baby back with them for the procedure.

We started with Newman family Dentistry about 6 years ago. My youngest was born with a post terror tongue tie and had to undergo a laser procedure to revise it. We were familiar with tongue ties from our first son but this was a different type. My baby was just 4 days old when dr Mikel Newman did the procedure. He walked us through the days and weeks following the procedure and they’ve become our families choice for all dental needs. They’re very thorough and patient. Dr Mikel always has a jokeOr magic trick for my boys to make the visits fun. We feel very taken care of and wouldn’t dream of going anywhere else.

While this office isn’t as bright or as fun looking as others, the care my children received at this location was amazing. The dentist and hygienist were both very good with kids, explaining everything they were going to do, showing the kids what each instrument did. The dentist himself was even making balloon animals which the kids loved. This will definitely be our family dentist as long as we are here.

Me and my husband have been going there for over twenty years and now have my kids there too. Very cutting edge knowledgeable and personable. We were recommended by long time friends and I would also recommend this praxis to anyone. They are not the cheapest price point, but the office is very nice, clean, organized and on time. You will be well taken care of.

This office was easy to work with. I enjoy being able to fill out paperwork digitally before the appointment. My son had a frenectomy and is much better after the treatment. We travelled from Fort Wayne to Carmel to have the procedure with Dr. Mikel. Highly recommend. I do wish they would contact insurance to see what is covered before the procedure instead of mailing a refund check.

Ive been going to see Dr. Newman since probably 2005 or earlier! My husband recently switched and also sees Dr. Newman. They were able to diagnose his TMJ problems and start him on a plan to get braces (through an orthodontist), and that has made all the difference in his health! Tawnya has been cleaning my teeth for years, and she always does a great job!

My kids love Dr. Mikel! He always wows them with a little magic trick and a friendly smile. They are always excited to go to the dentist.

Everyone was super nice and answered all my questions! I wasn’t in the room when we had my sons tongue tie released but I was in the next room over so I could hear everything that was happening. The assistant sang to my son while she was swaddling him and while she was waiting for Dr Michael to come and laser the tie! It was so sweet to hear! Dr Michael also double checked on us to make sure we were good before we left, knowing we had a healthy drive back home after the appointment! Overall I really with they were closer because I would definitely make Newman Family Dentistry our home dentist office!

Walking in we were greeted and the waiting room was open and spacious. Toys for the kids while we waited. We didn’t wait long at all, maybe 5 minutes. This was a first ever dentist appointment for both children. Dr. Mikel Newman was amazing with them! He explained all of his tools and showed them how they worked, took care of their teeth and the appointment was over quick. No tears, screaming, or scared children. My youngest is very resistant to brushing his teeth but he laid down and was fine with Dr Newman working on his teeth. I was concerned about a tongue/lip tie and Dr easily checked for it. He made them glove balloons and took time to answer all of my questions. Wonderful experience!
