This is a nice big CVS. Everything is stocked well. Except when an employee named Mathew lies about the restroom being out of order. When another employee opens it up for you. If you going to be lazy or not want to open up the restroom. Put a sign on the door then for out of order. This CVS employees seem all upset and short. If I can avoid the employees here I would.

Today, I walked into CVS in Carlsbad. knowing that what I was looking for was there, having looked it up online in advance. Carlsbad is a 10 mile drive from home. I walked right to where it was supposed to be and drew a blank. I couldn’t see it. Then a store employee asked if I needed help finding what I was looking for. At first I said something incoherent but then I told her what I was looking for. She walked over, and found exactly what I was looking for. It wasn’t hidden or anything, it was just one item among many similar items. But the story is; the employee was absolutely perfection in her handling the situation. Later I learned she is the manager and watched as she assisted (trained) an employee on the checkout register, again everything was exactly as it should be. She is amazing. I’m a terrible customer, I didn’t get her name, but if I lived closer, this would be where I shop.

I wanted to acknowledge the awesome service I received from this CVS. I desperately need 13 balloons and the party city across the street had unexpectedly closed. They were slammed and with no problem they were happy to fill the balloons for me. Juliette was truly an awesome associate.

This is the CVS I typically stop at to pick up whatever I need. This morning I stopped here to grab a few things. I asked to use the restroom and they said it was closed. The bathroom isn’t closed because it’s broken or out of order . It’s closed because management is too lazy to follow cleaning protocol during Covid.... it’s ridiculous. The state hasn’t mandated that bathrooms are closed.

Ive had multiple issues with this location and being able to fill my prescription. My most recent issue was that I had 1 refill left before I have to get my doctor to call in my prescription again. Apparently the medication is considered a controlled substance so getting refills is already a huge pain. I got a text from CVS on 3/13 telling me my prescription had been filled and that I needed to pick it up. On 3/15 my wife was in the area and dropped in to grab my prescription but they refused to give it to her. They claimed my prescription expired on 3/14. On the bottle it it does say 1 refill left before 3/14. Regardless, youd think since it was filled on 3/13 and literally in the bag waiting for me to pick it up that they would give me the prescription. They refused. It will likely take me days to get a hold of my doctor and have them send the refill request which typically throws me off for a week or so because Im not on my medication for a few days. The Pharmacy rarely does anything to help resolve the issues - like offering to call my doctor and get the refill themselves. While this is the first time this specific scenario has happened, there have been many instances where they have failed to fill my prescription or communicate to me that there are issues with refilling it often causing me lapses in my meds... We just moved to the area a year and a half ago - Ive been on this medication for 10 years.... Ive never had these issues at other CVS pharmacies.

The website says 24 hours. There is a sign on the door written with pink marker probably written by a worker saying they are closed until 5am. One of the workers walked out and is smoking while most likely still clocked in. I need an explanation ASAP!!!!!

Supposedly they’re open 24/7 including the pharmacy, Called and no answer phone rang for a long while and this was at 3:45am and again at 3:55am phone just rang; I hate having my prescriptions sent here because of there terrible service especially during an emergency! the store manager nor anyone ever picked up the phone! Hopefully they hire a complete new store team to resolve there terrible reputation or please shut down and give us Walgreens!!

This has been my pharmacy for the last two years. I just got back surgery 3 weeks and stopped in to get my post operation prescriptions and I was in a lot of pain. Joyce at the pharmacy rushed my filling of the prescriptions and took great care of me that night! Its a good pharmacy and she really makes it great there!

My tier became eligible for the Covid vaccination. It took multiple days but I was able to find an appointment and schedule it. I selected Food & Agriculture, and input my place of employment. My appointments were confirmed on the 4th.Today, the 7th, I show up, with my letter confirming Im eligible, and my paystub proving I work where I said, and I get turned away saying my place of employment isnt serviced at this location.First off, if my place of employment isnt eligible (it is,) then I should have been denied from the start (I wasnt.)Second, even if it were a mistake, they had almost 4 full days to cancel my appointment before I showed up.Third, there is no where on site that specifies that only certain locations do certain phases or even certain companies.Theyre doing Food & Agriculture, just. Not my company, not me. My coworker got hers yesterday at CVS. Their reason was because it was a different location.Thanks for waiting until I showed up to turn me away.I left work early. I drove out of my way to make this work.There were so many ways to cancel my appointment, and they chose the most unprofessional and disorganized way to do so.I just hope that dose went to someone else and didnt get wasted.

Recently brought my elderly moms prescriptions over to this location. Too many issues with Rite Aid pharmacists. Ive been utilizing this CVS pharmacy for several years. The best pharmacy department and employees! Most store clerks are very friendly. Great stuff to shop for as well... thanks guys!!!

I was buying an emergency contraceptive pill, which is already an embarrassing enough experience, and the cashier Renee asked for both mine and my boyfriends ID’s which was completely ridiculous. They made me feel extremely horrible and I left feeling very upset. They can keep their opinions to themselves if they have an issue but they should be informed on the fact that there is no ID required for plan b.

The customer service provided by the pharmacy techs and pharmacists at this store is abysmal. Today I had an issue with my prescription and neither the pharmacy tech or the pharmacist made any real effort to help me. I just needed them to answer a couple of questions about my prescription to help me resolve my issue. They both played dumb and said that there was nothing that they could do to help or get me the information that I needed. Interestingly, I went to Walmart and the pharmacist there was more than happy to help me and answer my questions about my prescription.Unfortunately, this isnt the first time Ive had an issue with the service at this CVS. On one occasion the tech told me that hed be right with me and then left me standing there for over 10-minutes while I waited to drop of my prescription. On another occasion the pharmacy failed to contact me to let me know that they couldnt fill my prescription. I dont recommend this pharmacy or this store at all.

Would give it negative stars if I could. Absolutely abysmal everything. They treat you like a burden. Customer service is non-existent. Every person is disrespectful & unprofessional. But thats not even the biggest problem.My Rxs are common ones, yet they are *always* out of stock (I mean *every* time).And the staff... This is NOT an exaggeration: it is like calling/going in to a pharmacy where everyone who works there is a *literal* 5-year-old. In fact, I believe my 5-year-old could do a better job. This isnt a jab, I truly believe that. I would be embarrassed to work there.When you desperately need their help, every answer they give is bewilderingly absurd and you are never provided any means of recourse. For people already struggling with chronic medical problems, CVS Carlsbads rendition of customer care borders on psychological abuse.Ive been using CVS for over 20 years and after nearly a dozen locations, this one (El Camino Real) is BY FAR the worst. I would drive any distance to not go to this awful place and I suggest anyone reading this do the same. Nothing is worth what these people subject their patients/customers to.

This is a terrible store. The general manager, Vonica is so combative with customers, and has no sense of customer service. She will literally argue people, over anything. It’s so pointless. They are always out of stock, and the photo department is so unorganized. DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME.

Its good store overall with helpful staff. One of the cashiers, Constance, is particularly helpful and friendly. I would recommend it, but if you are going to the pharmacy, dont go on Friday afternoons. They can get backed up. Otherwise, you can usually get in and out in less than 10 minutes.The automated cashier machines were not working well for awhile, but now seem in order. Great if you need to pop-in for one item and dont want to stand in line.

The pharmacy within this location has fairly rude and lazy pharmacy technicians that are incredibly disingenuous and unhelpful. They need constant oversight and seem to dislike their jobs, and it shows in the quality of service. Lines are consistently long. I will personally be going elsewhere with my business. I hope someone in management overhauls this location. Pitiful

Avoid this place at all costs. They are understaffed and so then the waits are long. They couldnt get my insurance info right and I had to pay out of pocket for medications. They told me they would call me once they got it resolved and I never heard from them. Better to spend your money and time elsewhere.

If I could give this place a negative or 0 stars I would.I ordered a same day photo book before Christmas. The day I ordered it- i was told that something was wrong with the book printing so it wouldnt be ready until the next day. Each time I came back - I got the same story. So my Christmas present ended up not being ready till 14 days after it ordered it!!!!When I finally got it - the pages were out of order and it didnt make sense. I was offered a 20% discount. I was so mad!!!! It was trash!!! And it was so important to me l, especially with all of the work I put into it - that I foolishly paid for it and tried to fix it myself. Most embarrassing gift give, EVER!Today I went in to print pictures in minutes. The only reason i come here is because its by my office. So I sat on my lunch break for 45 minutes cropping, arranging, and ordering a bunch of prints that I could take back with me. When nothing started printing I asked the employee for help. She sleepily said oh, its out of order. And that was it. I asked why there wasnt an out of order sign On it or if my order could be transferred to another machine or location and she said no, go somewhere else. And that was it.Im so angry! I dont know why I even came back. This place SUCKS!

Marc, Eric and Aaron (Erin, cool dude with the pony tail. Not sure how to spell his name). All very friendly. Marc remembers his regulars and makes them feel at home. And also with new people engages them and cares about the customer and about the building. He’s very friendly and feels like one of the homies when I walk in. He should get a raise or promotion. Idk lol. But all great dudes! Keep up the great work!

I was harassed by a man named Alberto whosaid he had been watching me for some time and kept calling CVS his store. His approach was very confusing and Im still unsure of who he was... He came up to me to tell me he had been watching me (which almost made me want to take out my mace but I was too scared to move). As a women it is frightening enough to have a man approach them in the womens hair products at CVS but to top it off have the man say he has been watching me, it makes a women like myself feel extremely uncomfortable and scared, Im still shakey). Then he starts listing off stores, then he starts asking me where are we (keep in mind I have no idea who he is what he wants or why he has been watching me... After asking me all types of odd questions even asking where Im from or where I like to shop he finally says I should leave if I know whats good for me... At that point I was already about to start running away from this man because he was really creeping me out and I was very scared but I had my wallet, my products and my paperwork in my shopping basket on the floor. So I didnt want to run away from this creepy man without my belongings. Anywho, I wanted to find an employee who worked there but was too scared to do anything w this man dangerously close to me. I havent been that scared for a while. If this man does work here, please be careful. He is a liability to your store and to any women. I dont want another women to feel as scared as I did that day. He has a temper and had inappropriate conduct.Its still making my heart beat heavy having to write this. he did not have a uniform on and never identified himself... at least iasked his name before I left the store (just incase) and it was Alberto. He was a shorter dark Latino man maybe 22 to 30 wore a black shirt w jeans.if he does work here I hope something is done and no other women has to go through what I went through. I dont have time to write it all out but if a manager happens to read this I hope they can contact me... I will also be writing to the CVS corporation through their website and will be looking into this matter further... I just need to make the time.

By far the WORST pharmacist ever and pharmacy assistant. They are the most stupidest individuals I have ever met, wont even assist in calling other locations if they have medications they are out of stock of. Absolutely rude behaviour. Pharmacist was in such a rush to close down at least 1/2 hour before closing time. Even with an emergency situation she wouldnt do the prescription and they were standing around doing nothing when I arrived. Do not go to the pharmacist at the location thats (not) 24:7 in Carlsbad. Terrible. Shame on you woman. Working at a medical field of work have some professional compassionate attitudes! That is your job.

Usually the line is too long, but the customer service is usually really good here. I have some kind of weird face infection going on right now, and the pain is horrible. I had a horrible time getting my dentist to prescribe me anything until I sent him pictures I am very very swollen. So finally he did when he attempted to call in the order he called me back with I wan on hold for 7 minutes so I left a message when I called to check back on this prescription, at home rocking in pain, I was on hold for 20 minutes and was told the prescription would be ready in 10 to 15 minutes. I waited 20 and headed to the store. Waited in their usual long line, and was told that I needed to wait 10 more minutes. I was holding back tears of pain an asked the check out clerk if I could have one pain med while I waited, when she went to help me, the pharmacist with me standing right there chewed her out. I was dismayed... she kept working on my prescription though and I only had to wait a few more minutes. I was grateful for her help.

Some of the pharmacist are lousy, lazy, doesnt know how to handle with patient . Before I called during the evening and spoke to night pharmacist asking when can I picked up me medications. He told me no you dont have the diagnosis for it. I told him I have diagnoses for each medications and I had those meds refilled last month already too. I went to the pharmacy in the morning and spoke to another pharmacist and I told him and asked why my diagnosis for my meds were not carried out from last month? He checked my files and yes he found the diagnosis for my meds. Previous pharmacist wasted my time becuase he was lazy, arrogant to listened to me the customer when I was trying to tell him when he refused to refilled my pain meds. I marked this 0 for star for that night pharmacist...Big zero star for the pharmacist for night shift and am shift today.Yesterday, my doctor sent to the pharmacy my refill for my meds. I called this morning around 4 AM. I asked the pharmacist when can I pick up my meds. He told me no I will not give you those 2 meds at the same time. I have been getting those meds at the same time before last year and this year and last month. This night pharmacist talks and acts like he knows better than my doctors. He cannot tell me the right answer why he refused to refill my meds. He even told me then you can get your meds from other pharmacy. I just hung up because no use of arguing and wasting more of my time. Then I followed up this morning and I called the pharmacy and spoke to pharmacist. This pharmacist doesnt listen either when I was trying to explained to him what had happened before and this morning. He said he will call my doctor at 9:30 AM. I called my doctors office after I spoke to the pharmacist and reported what happened with the pharmacy when I called and asked when can I pick up my meds and yes there was and is diagnosis for my meds.. CVS Pharmacist open your ears and listen to the patient. You are not better than my specialist. I know and understand there are rules and regulations to follow as a nurse and a patient myself.

I was appalled at the woman working the store tonight. She appeared frazzled and almost as if having an anxiety attack. I had just walked over to look at the hair colors when she happened down the same roll. She started complaining that she had JUST arranged all the boxes and that they were all in disarray again. I tried to lighten things by telling her that it wasnt as bad as the shoe aisle at Target recently, that was a disaster! She didnt lighten, she continued to act as if she wished I wouldnt touch her boxes of hair color! I walked away and looked elsewhere for other items. When I went to the register, she was assisting a woman with a large amount of items and as she looked up at me and took a deep sigh, I said, no worries, Im fine. She called for another employee to assist, which would have appeared to be thoughtful if she hadnt done so as if she was bothered by doing it!Then another woman asked her a question and her remarked to her were so dismissive and rude, that the woman turned around and asked the male employee if he had just heard how the female employee had answered her questions. He had. The overly irritated employee was still processing the other womans several items and acted like she was a huge inconvenience. The woman had a large service dog with her! The employee should been kinder to all. There was no excuse for her to treat all of us that way.

Nice store with lots of merchandise. There is almost always a long, long line of people waiting to pick up prescriptions, so there is often a long-ish wait (it feels like 15 minutes or more sometimes but it may not really be that long).

Just left this location. I was waiting on my husband’s meds after spending 8 hours at TriCity hospital in the ER; it’s 5AM I need to use their bathroom (I’m 8 months pregnant) and this Hispanic looking lady (I believe her name was Monica) tells me that after 10pm they lock it, I explained to her that I was just told it’d be 20 min for my meds... what was her response? In the rudest tone she replies “We DON’T have to have a bathroom for our customers, it’s just a courtesy” really now? WOW, first of all if you don’t like your job QUIT, I’m shopping supporting the company that supports YOU by employing you, therefore the least I deserve is a little sympathy and respect. WORST experience ever, luckily I made it home in a timely manner to take care of my situation but if something would’ve happened, people sue you know?

This CVS has a lot of pros, and some cons:PRO:Really easy parking; I can always find a spot and never too far from the entrance despite the store being in-between an ATM and a CoffeeBean as well as sharing a parking lot with a gym.PRO: Open 24 hours. The pharmacy too. Note: the pharmacist does take an hour for lunch, so If you do show up in the middle of the night when hes the only one there, you may have to wait up to an hour to get helped.PRO: Its one of the bigger CVSs Ive been to and it was recently renovated, so it is nice & bright and usually well-stocked with items.PRO: Great sales and discounts. Sometimes sells items at 75% off, but 25% - 50% is common.Plus, if you join the CVS Extra Club (free) and link your phone number (for look- up), email (for additional coupons & rewards), there are a lot of great deals and cash back (for use there). For example, you get $5 Extra Bucks every 10 prescriptions filled.TIP: put your phone number into the yellow kiosk just inside the store to get all YOUR club coupons printed out for you so you dont have to keep track or find out ahead of time. Just make sure you tell the cashier the phone number linked to your account to use them and get all discounts.PRO: Most staff is helpful and pleasant.PRO: You can cash out any winning Scratchers there or buy more at the machine in the far right, past the Photo Lab.Cons: To balance out the costs of being staffed 24 hrs/day, they rarely have enough people working at any given time to handle customers needs.So, if you go during busy times, expect a bit of a wait in lines.That also means they have trouble keeping good people (but theyre usually hiring if you are looking for a job), which explains SOME of other other reviewers complaints, but...CON: There are a couple pharmacy employees that I AVOID at all costs if I can. Unless it is imperative, if the older Asian man is working the computer at the the Drop Off window, I wont go. Its too frustrating and I risk getting the wrong information or him messing up my prescription altogether.CON: It usually takes forever to get let into the bathroom and it is usually really gross (probably due to their understaffing problem). It also does not have a paper towel dispenser (only a hot air dryer) so theres no way to wipe anything off of anything and theres usually something gross on the baby changer, the wall, the toilet, the tp dispenser, the handicap bar, the floor around the toilet, the flushing handle, the sink, the mirror, the trashcan, and probably the door handle given everything else.TIP- Bring your own paper towels and hand sanitizer.CON: no wifiCON: usually overpriced for health-related items and refrigerated foods.CON: Avoid signing up for pharmacy notifications unless you want to be hit with multiple texts and automated calls from them every day.CON: Poor selection and high prices on food.Another TIP: Bring your own bags here too.
