Ashante has cut my hair twice now, and has become my go-to guy for a haircut.I have curly hair so it can be hard to find the right person for the job, but he is the best that Ive experienced so far.He pays excellent attention to detail and offers services at a bargain compared to his competitors in north county.

Cassandra: I had seen her work on Instagram so when I finally decided to do Balayage, I knew I wanted her to do it. I did have to wait a while for an available appointment, as I initially called right when restrictions were lifting in CA & SD and everyone was making appointments. The other part of it is that excellent stylists do get booked up. Let me tell you it was SO worth the wait. To say that she worked a miracle on my ugly pandemic-brown shade of hair would negate the fact she has serious talent and skill. Bonus: she’s super nice and easy to talk to. I was and remain blown away by how beautiful my color turned out and have been getting endless compliments.The salon and other stylists: The owner has done an amazing job culling top talent because everyone leaving the salon while I was there looked beyond. Not good or great, but runway-ready amazing. The atmosphere is professional, but there’s also a really good, fun, light vibe there. I also really love that the salon has an outside area, because I’m really bad at sitting and doing nothing unless it involves a pool and drink in my hand. Very reasonable prices for the quality.Bottom line: You’re going to have a great experience and leave as your best self, no matter who you see. But if you want to see Cassandra, book in advance…I already booked my next two appointments before I left.

Ashley is amazing! My color took a long time but it was totally worth it. She did exactly what I wanted/needed. Before and after pics. Loving the white!!!

1. Call many times to make first time appointment. Nobody picked up the phone.2. Left messages in social media requesting appointment. Nobody replied.3. Left message on website - no reply.4. Finally got an appointment through a friend who was at the salon and requested it in person.5. Arrived at the appointment and the stylist was not there. Waited for her 15’.6. When she arrived she said not appointment has been made under my name. 😳 (did not check the salon agenda)7. She took me in but saying she had a client at 10 am.After all what happened and waited I just decided to have my roots done.Left with some tincture over my forehead but she did a fair job.The overall experience from trying to book an appointment to being there waiting was not the best.

I came in with blonde hair and wanted to go a little bit darker. A light to medium brown. He gave me black hair. I am not even joking. It had shades of red and purple too. Then when they were fixing it the other stylist made it seem like I showed him photos that were not accurate to what I wanted. This has been a process getting my hair back. Spent so much money, so much damage to my hair. I am not someone to ever write reviews but I just had to in this case. I have felt so upset ever since.

Always friendly service with high quality results. Ive been seeing Molly for over a year now for highlights and trimming and shes fantastic. Compared to the NYC salon I previously frequented, Textur provides the same quality service for a fraction of the price. Highly recommend!

So the first few times I called no one answered. Ok people are busy, I get it but there is no answering machine. I called a different day and was able to get an appointment, however they didnt ask me who I wanted to be styled by and made my appointment with Ashante. This man is their barber, and although his description says hairstylist I dont think that should be the case. He was incredibly rough and heavy handed. I left with a sore scalp and a headache. I wanted it layered and the length evened out, as one side was longer than the other. My layers are jagged and the length is still uneven. After he was done styling it, curls were also uneven, he made me pose for a bunch of photos.Overall it was a very unpleasant experience, Im unhappy with my haircut and Ive never had a similar experience at another salon. We are moving soon so I dont have time to get this fixed.Bottom line, if youre not looking for a barber, dont make an appointment with Ashante.

Couldnt have been happier with the way my hair looked after Ahsante was finished with it! My hair was dull, damaged, brassy faded grown out color, and coarse as a horsetail from years of wearing it in a bun. Ahsante gave it the full works and made me feel like a million bucks! Ive never recieved sooo many compliments on my hair after leaving a salon! Ask for Ahsante next time you visit Textur, your hair will thank you!

Had my hair done by Ahsante. I left the salon feeling like I could be in a hair commercial. My hair is now soft, silky, bouncy...all the things. Aside from my hair looking fly, he is hilarious.It was such a good experience. Highly recommend this place.

I had the best experience here! I picked this place because I hate making phone calls and I was able to schedule an appointment online and Im so glad I did because I got probably my favorite haircut I have ever had. Kaite was my stylist and she did a great job! I am super shy so I appreciated how she was friendly but didn’t make me chat too much. I am not very good at communicating what I want, but she totally nailed it! I got a ton of length taken off and she gave me some cute layers to give my hair a little bit of personality. I feel like a new me! I had to wait a little bit for her to finish up with her other client, but it was so worth it! The salon is cute and everyone in there is friendly too! Thanks Katie!

I love the way Courtney cuts my curly hair she is the only one I trust with my curls she is the best at what she does. I have been going to her for years. Every time I get my hair cut I don’t worry because she cuts it exactly how I want it. Won’t go anywhere else but here, they are very friendly and the shop is very clean. Kelly is my stylist and has been for over 3 years. She is the only person I trust with my hair. She keeps me healthy and helps me achieve results without damaging my hair. I have personally never been happier as a blonde. Every time I leave the salon I am happy, and if I have ever changed my mind in the chair last minute and decided I wanted something different, she goes above and beyond to give me whatever it is that will help me to leave with a smile on my face and feeling confident. Kelly puts so much pride and effort into what she does, and she is just a pleasant person overall. I will honestly never go to another stylist. Highly recommended.

EXCELLENT SALON. Ahsante provides a great haircut for a black man. The women there are great stylists. Water,tea or wine while you wait.

Courtney (the owner) is amazing. Color correcting specialist and has an eye for style. After moving from the East coast and struggling to find a stylist.. she was the best recommendation Ive had in awhile. Shes personable and listens to exactly what you want. Their prices are reasonable and the salon is very contemporary chic and relaxed. Love this salon!

I just recently moved to Carlsbad and did extensive research on the best place to get my hair done. Not only does Textūr salon have great reviews but it was recommended by other businesses in the Carlsbad area. I personally went to Cassandra a few days ago at Textūr and she exceeded my expectations. I was shocked with the way she transformed my hair while keeping it healthy! I wont go anywhere else now, Ive deemed her my new hair girl, specially for my wedding coming up in May.

Nice vibe, complete with the option of outdoor seating in downtown Carlsbad. More importantly, talented stylists. Everybodys very nice.

I’ve been here about 4 times and have always liked the outcome. The overall environment is friendly and hospitable, and they even give you a drink. However, this last session resulted in drastically uneven sideburns, half a beard and a choppy haircut that looked like Supercuts. 😂

I am amazed with the atmosphere this salon has to offer its clients i came on a vacation with my family and came to this salon, all the hairstylist are friendly,welcoming and professional and clean. This salon is like no other salon Ive been to. They have a nice comfortable waiting area a candy section for you to treat yourself or for your kiddos to enjoy candy while they wait you can also have something to drink on their patio while your waiting if your coloring your hair. Ahsantee is hands down the best he is very easy to talk to and made me feel as i was talking to a friend that i had know for years he did an amazing job getting my hair back to life (my hair was a mess after A lot of coloring bleaching and heat damage my hair was always frizz and always tangling up) he is a miracle worker my hair is so smooth, no frizz AND i could run my fingers through my hair without have to stop because its tangled. My hair looks healthy and Im extremely happy with the results. The whole time he was doing my hair he was talking to me explaining everything he was doing. He also cut my sons hair and my son said he is awesome and love his new haircut. If you are in the area and looking for a new family hairstylist/barber for your family i would definitely recommend you call and make an appointment with Ahsantee if i could give him 10 stars i would but yelp only allows 5.
