I saw Dr Capelouto when I was admitted to the hospital with a kidney stone. He saw me there and did my surgery. I couldn’t have asked for a better surgical team. Everyone worked so well together to “add me on “ at the end of the day.Dr Capelouto has such a wonderful bedside manner and with his knowledge puts you right at ease.Absolutely had the best experience with him.

I was sent to Dr Capelouto by my family doctor because I had a slightly elevated PSA result from a blood test. At his office, they pulled blood again and did a physical exam. After the exam he said everything looks good and a couple of days later I received a phone call to let me know that the blood work results looked good. As a follow up just to be sure there was not a problem, they scheduled another exam for me 4 months from the first one. They are serious about making sure Im ok.The staff was friendly and the doctor was professional, friendly and thorough.I would absolutely recommend Dr Capelouto and Georgia Urology.

I cant imagine a better doctor than Dr. Capelouto. He is exceptionally knowledgeable, but just as important to me, he treats everyone like family. He is always friendly, he takes as much time as is needed to ensure that your problem is diagnosed accurately, that you understand what the problem is, and that you understand how it will affect you and what the best treatment is. Im what is politely referred to as a senior citizen, and I have seen many doctors in my life. Dr. Capelouto is as good as it gets.

By taking the term Roto Rooter literally as descriptive of the TURP, I had a totally mistaken visualization of the procedure and resulting recovery. There are several you-tube videos, both actual and schematic, which should completely assuage mens apprehensions. You will see how a sculptors loop tool similar to the thread end of a sewing needle eye shaves tiny pieces of tissue from the walls of a cave the size of a walnut! The ONLY discomfort is the mild urination soreness of the penile urethra for a couple of days. Dr. Capelouto is a wonderful physician. Even if I needed another TURP some day, I would have not the slightest hesitation to do it again.

My last visit with Dr. Capelouto was via Exam Med televisits. Out of the 4 attempts of televisits with other physicians this was the only one I would call successful. As with most physician visits there is usually a wait until you actually get to see the physician, but with this one the PA came on about 10 minutes after the appointed time and Dr. Capelouto was spot on time. The video quality was excellent and the conversation was exactly as it would have been in person, a very pleasant visit. I really like the Exam Med televisit format and I hope this practice continues where and when appropriate. Try it out, its a lot easier than driving to and from the office.

Dr. Carl Capelouto is a professional in every sense of the word. After listening to him explain the Aquablation procedure I agreed to do this versus the traditional TERP procedure. I spent one night in hospital (had other health concerns re heart) and went home day 2. I had a catheter for just 5 days and while I had bladder spasms for 9 days, I never found it necessary to take a single pain pill. While I followed orders re no lifting of 5 pounds and no exertion I felt basically normal after just 5 days. Net, the Aquablation procedure combined with Dr. Capelouto is the way to go to reduce prostate size....mine was 4 times the normal size!

I recently had a prostate biopsy performed by Dr. Capelouto ,who has been my Urologist for 6 or 7 years. Even though I dreaded going through it, it was painless with none of the after effects that I experienced with the previous two biopsies in my life performed by other doctors.
