Unfortunately I’m coming back to change what was a positive review, I was cashing out for my haircut, I went to pay on my card and also asked for change for $20 bill to leave a cash tip. She handed me back only $4 and used the $20 for my payment (making it a cash payment instead of what I wanted to be paying on my credit card) at the time, I assumed the card payment just didn’t go through bc she chose cash tender and I got a receipt with cash payment. Well I just checked my credit card statement and there’s a $16 charge on there as well for my haircut, so now I’ve paid twice for the haircut and I doubt it’ll be able to proven for me to get my money back. The receipt they gave me had another guests name on it. At the time I didn’t think much of that either. I didn’t suspect to get charged twice.

Multiple dead cockroaches in the magazine holders. Pretty visible so hard to imagine the rest of the place is cleaned regularly.

Barber was extremely rude, didn’t listen to me, and gave me the worst haircut of my life. I showed her a literal picture of what I wanted the length to be and she cut it so short, I couldn’t style my hair at all. The picture I showed her had the top at like a 4, the end result of my hair was a 2 almost buzzed.

I am very disappointed every time I get my hair cut at this location. My first time here, the lady put my hair in a ponytail. Made ONE cut. And called that done! $15! Absurd! It was stupid of me to go back a second time, but the second time I wound up with my hair cut completely lopsided. The right side is now a good 3 shorter than the left, and the gentleman cutting my hair had no idea how to do layers properly. I have a month before my wedding and I am just hoping my hair grows out enough that a real hair dresser can fix their mess. Oh and my fiancé, got his hair cut by a woman who clearly had no idea how to trim a mans hair - he wound up with very feminine Aubrey Hepburn hair. BIZARRE.

I checked in online and when I got there I wasnt greeted so I just sat down and waited. A family came in after me and was immediately taken to a seat. It was for their son so I thought maybe theres a stylist specifically for kids under 10 so I waited for maybe 25 minutes before another customer came in, was greeted right away and claimed they didnt do the online check in and again was immediately taken back to a chair. So I left and went to a Lady Janes which is a little more pricey (more so because I tipped double for the holiday) but at least they didnt confuse me for some crazy guy who likes to sit in barber shops and watch other people get their haircut. Ill rate it 5 stars because I saw great customer service but sadly wasnt on the receiving end of it. Needless to say there will not be a next time.Edit) So, I had to give this place a second chance yesterday. No, I didnt follow up with the owner to whine in order to get some sort of discount. I went to my preferred GC and being the big, dumb, idiot I am I decided not to check in online because Who else wants their hair cut this early on a Saturday? EVERYONE is the answer and I learned that the hard way. I was next up until 2 people walked in and bumped me(followed by 3 more) . I hold nothing against them for scheduling the smart way.In fact, I was too preoccupied hating myself for being so naive. Anyway, long story long, I parked close to this location,checked in online, went shoe shopping at famous footwear, and walked to get my haircut and was sat down immediately. I was in and out of there in maybe 10 minutes. If I had to rank my favorite haircuts Id say Nikki did an incredible job and took the number 1 spot and restored my faith in this location.

Stopped by on a Saturday and was told over an hour wait, so I opted to come back on Monday, my day off. Used the online check-in at 9:15 AM. Got there at 10 AM and... CLOSED. No note, NOTHING. What a way to run a business (even as a franchisee); Great PR for the company. Lost a customer for life. Sad because Id been going there for (10?) years.

Terrible hair cut. The woman butchered my boyfriend hair, cut his ear and his mole on his neck open... never going there again. Called great clips in meijer off Canton Center rd and the GM fixed it for him for free, because nothing was cut, just shaved like a carrot. Save your hair from this place.Not to mention when he expressed she cut him, she just blankly stared at him.

Walked into this place 15 mins to close WITH AN APPOINTMENT. The guy saw me park and ranover to turn the open sign off. I asked him politely if my 9 yr old can still get his hair cut and they guy gave me an attitude and said it will take 25 mins to cut and he has to close in 5 mins. I understand these guys work very hard all day and dont need customer like me showing up last minute. But the service is in the attitude. He just had to let me know that it is too late and it would be great if I rescheduled. Bad services!! Will never come back here. And Ill make sure to let my family and friends know to keep away from this place for sure.

Please do not go here! I went on a Sunday about a month ago. I HAD to get my haircut and it was the only place that I could find open. I went armed with a picture of a basic hair cut and hair almost to my butt. I left IN TEARS. My hair wouldnt even barely go in to a ponytail. You know they know they messed up when they apologize and dont charge you. I was still in shock the next day. To make matters worse, I asked for a short face frame and she wouldnt do it. So there is literally nothing I can do with my hair. I left for vacation miserable. This place is meant for men that want a buzz cut.

If you choose to go to the Great Clips on Michigan Ave in Canton, Michigan dont let Kimberly cut your hair ! My 18 yr.old grandson asked for at least 1 inch on top, she left him with a quarter of an inch, if that. Basically it looks like a scalping. They also told us there was a wait so I asked if I could prepay so I could go across the street and pick up some groceries while he waited and they refused and would have to pay when they were done. When I did not return by the the time they finished they had conversations across the room about what to do with my grandson since they were finished with him and he had not paid. DUH! I tried to prepay. We will never go here again and we will send it out on social media as well. Had I realized how unhappy my grandson was with his haircut and how upset he was that they talked back and forth about him while he waited for me to return I would never have given the girl a tip.

Some of the stylists are consistently good. Others always do a poor job. Luck of the draw who you get.

I’m fourteeen, and my dad dropped off to get my haircut at great clips. I showed them a picture of how I wanted my hair to be cut, short on the sides, and pretty long on top with a fade. when I sat down in the chair, the “barber” who looked she was hired off the street, immediately went to work at ruining my life. she started on the sides, where she took electric clippers and violently shaved every single hair off the sides of my head. Once I was bald just like my 50 year old father, she started on the top of my head. She took sizzors, actually they were more like shears, with jagged teeth on the sides instead of regular scissors. instead of measuring the length with her fingers of how long it should’ve been, she took the shears and started clipping them in random places all over the top of my head. The length was fine at first, but my hair was uneven, so she began clipping the longer places down to the length of the sides of my head, forcing her to do that to the whole top of my head.If you don’t believe me, I would send you a picture, I just got it yesterday. Or instead you can ask people at school who now call me colonel all day. but the best option would be to go to great clips, any great clips, and get your hair “cut.”

Last time I went it I asked to have my hair cut so I have straight bangs. The woman managed to be cut them uneven and in a giant slant with one quick snip. The quality of this place has plummeted and lost my business for good.

This place is horrible I’m never coming back. My 12 year old son was practically in tears and doesn’t want to go to school Monday because of his haircut. He literally said it’s horibble and one of the worst things that could have happened to him. There is a straight edge cut right into his front which he spikes That looks ridiculous. And, my 10 year old had the first cut by a guy who was clueless and then the manager had to recut it. It isn’t at all what we asked for as my son was trying to grow it out. The sides had been cut short and back left long. So in order to even it out the manager had to cut it all to a more consistent length. Ruined our evening and weekend to be honest. Horrible.

If I could give it a zero I would. The lady freaked out on me & told me that I had to leave because I had lice. WRONG!! I went to a different salon & was treated with respect & dignity. I HAVE severe alopecia & a few other medical problenms that cause me to lose my hair & have dandruff. HORRIBLE PLACE NEVER AGAIN....

This location is the worst in Canton over the past year. I cant explain what has happened to this particular one. Go to the Lilley or the Ford Road locations. When I entered the woman who met me at the counter said she just got off 20 mins ago. There was only one person ahead of me. The thing is there was another stylist just sitting and laughing with the customer that was getting her hair cut. I think the woman at the counter said she was in-training --but I am not sure about that. The woman at the counter was just milling around (not like it was closing time yet) for 25 minutes as I sat there. I just left after a half hour of not getting a haircut (and only to be following one person) with two other capable hair stylists in the store.. Again stay away from this particular location. They give Great Clips a bad reputation as you can see it just isnt me that has had the same experience. Sincerely, Matt Theisen

Worst haircut ever. Went in for a long bob, even said I wanted to keep some length to the front. Came out with 2 inch hair. SERIOUSLY by time I knew how short she went it was too late. I am so upset and miserable. I dont know how Im going to go to work. I look horrid.

The stylist was a zombie. There was little conversation other than questions about my hair preferences... all using haircut lingo that I dont know. Like asking what size of a filter to use on their buzzers. No idea.

Just went for a trim. When I walked in they were clearly moving slow with no sense of urgency. I stood at the counter waiting to sign in for atleast 5 minutes although one hairdresser was not doing anything. There was 2 hairdressers and 2 other people there and I was told the wait would be 45 minutes even though they were also just getting hair cut nothing special. After one of the people ahead of me was finished the female hairdresser with really short blond hair and a black and white shirt said she needed to use the restroom. I waited for another 15 minutes and finally just left. As Im leaving I see the same hairdresser sitting out back on her phone. I dont think that Great Clips will be receiving much of my business seeing as I didnt even get my hair cut.

If Micki was still there I would give my haircuts a 5 star. Last cut by other stylist is so bad!! I should of left when told Micki left. The stylist?? who cut my hair and my 3 yr old grandsons was extremely rough and he ended up in tears. There is no excuse for that.
