Ya know, I have to say, I WAS pretty impressed by CountrySide Living in Canby, but, I’m really not anymore. I’m actually quite disappointed in them. They took good care of my grandpa - BUT they donated over half of HIS belongings before I had the opportunity to come get them. This isn’t stuff that belonged to the nursing home, it’s stuff that our family had bought for him.One of the items that got donated was an interactive puppy that my grandpa and 1 year old played with together and it had a HUGE sentimental value on it. It was important to us that my daughter had that puppy after he passed away. They made no effort to call and let me know they were donating his belongings. It had been less than a week after he passed when they decided they were going to pick and choose through his items to give away. I was told they’d hold it for us until we could make it up there to get it and that obviously wasn’t the case.I’m really disappointed in the whole facility and kind of heartbroken my daughter won’t get to keep that interactive puppy. It was the only thing my grandpa had that my daughter could have kept.

I dont think its appropriate for ANY memory care to post picture online of residents. Its taking advantage. Most have high dementia and dont even realize where theirs pkctures are freely beibg sent arount on the internet. Also goes against hippa laws

I just had an interveiw with the Ed, administrator, and nurse. What a pleasant vibe. I was able to be myself. The group made me want to be there.

I walked into Countryside living and received the best customer service and was offered a tour of both buildings. I actually stopped there to meet the Director but she was unavailable, Alix at the front desk greeted me and did not want my trip to be a loss. She got Michelle to walked me around and she was so knowledgeable and kind, Thank you. What I noticed was that the residents were all eating and they looked happy and the halls smelled of good food and another nice smell that I can not put my finger on. If I had a loved one that needed memory care, you would be my first choice. Thank you for your kindness.

We placed my dad here in the beginning of 2012. I cannot say enough about how wonderful this place is! Our dad needed memory care in a secure facility. I visited other places that were sad and frankly, smelly. When I visited Countryside I knew I had found the place! Countryside is clean and homey. They have a great little dog, McDuff, who my dad just loves. Over and over I have been impressed by the loving staff. They treat my dad with respect and caring. They have helped us all along the way with medications, doctor appointments and advice. My dad has gotten to go on beach trips, fishing trips and there are weekly entertainment activities which my dad loves. He is truly at home at Countryside.

Make sure you understand the fees, charges and level of care you expect. When hospice is called, their level of care drops BUT NOT the cost. Credits for deposits difficult to get, Their is no -middle ground.

Very unprofessional. They purposely ignore phone calls if they dont want to deal with something. Very unprofessional business.

There’s not enough staff to sufficiently are for 20 or 35 residents, depending on what building you work in. The management is immature and never listen when resident need specific care.
