If you like The Mean Girls attitude, this is the place for you!! NOT able to provide care for children is what they told me, in spite of the ad on their website. Had my childs cleaning done, a small cavity was found. Had two VERY serious life issues, (vehicle broke down, had to secure financing and FIND one! Then pet was attacked for $2100 worth of veterinary care). Finally made it in and they were VERY rude and said they wont be taking care of ANY more cavities for your child. And a referral slip. Dentist didnt even come out to speak with me, just sent his messenger. Very unprofessional! Hey! At least God has finally provided transportation to make it to a more professional dental office!

I used to love going to the dentist! I thought it was relaxing and enjoyable! That was pre-kids. 😂 Now I dread it. I’ve put my teeth issues on the back burner ever since having kids - and the last year didn’t help either.Up until about a month ago, I was having some tremendous pain in a back molar and knew I had to go in. We moved to Arizona recently so I needed to find a new dentist. Thankfully Mountain Shadows was close to us! My first appointment went so well - they were professional and kind, and communicated everything. They gave me options on financing and I was able to get major work done that day.The two times I have been back has been the same wonderful experience. Friendly staff, clean office and explanations on everything they were planning to do. They made it enjoyable for me to go to a dentist again!

Having moved to the Buckeye area I was in search for a new dentist, in the mail I received an information card that detailed what services Mountain Shadows Family Dental provides and the rates associated with them. I decided to make an appointment and see if it was the right place for my dental care needs. I am so glad I made that choice. The service has been excellent, the treatment plans concise and well explained. I can not recommend Mountain Shadows Family Dental & Dr. Garrett enough!

The most gentle Dentist ever. I feel calm when I come in and the place runs there appointments so timely. I would recommend everyone of all ages. It sounds funny to be so excited about a crown well at least a tooth crown, lol. Mine fits so perfect, way better than the one I had done years ago in fact I didnt even use any numbing stuff and was super happy to go back to my normal day without a funny feeling face. Also ask them about their laser treatment. It cleaned my gums without having to do deep periodontal and immediately my gums were healthier and stopped bleeding and its available for different treatments too!All the staff is kind and soft handed. I also love that they send text confirmations a couple days ahead of time just as a nice reminder and ample time to cancel if needed. This is by far the best dental experience Ive ever had in almost 40 years!

I really feel like Dr Garrett is doing the best thing for my health. He is very efficient and helps me to be as comfortable as possible. His work reduces the number of times I have to come back to his office. HIs staff is caring and works with my schedule.

Everyone here is super friendly... Buuut, they overcharge and push unnecessary dental work on you. They told me I needed 4 cavities filled and a deep cleaning which would have cost 3,000, if i purchased their plan (no insurance). I go to a different dentist to get a 2nd opinion and he tells me that I only have 1 cavity and do not need a deep cleaning, just a regular cleaning. Spent 270, saved myself $2700. Go somewhere else if you want to avoid unnecessary dental work.

Had to have emergency root canal. The staff is caring and gentle and so kind. It is a great asset to the Buckeye community to have such a wonderful business! 5 stars all the way!

Dr. Garrett is by far the best dentist Ive ever seen. Hes just incredible. However, the front office staff is where things are lacking. Does nobody check emails or any form of electronic messages there? Ive had to reschedule appointments a few times and with my job, its hard to call during business hours to reschedule, so sometimes my only option is to email. I never get a response from them about rescheduling and its like they just completely ignore me. I dont get it. I want to keep Dr. Garrett as my dentist, but the front office staff needs to learn how to communicate with patients.

Horrible place I mean people seem nice and all but tried to charge me $11500 so that I could get a job. I went to another dentist and they told me my teeth are fine not perfect but its fine for employment. Wow!!! At Mountain Shadows Family Dentistry a big big huge rip off they put me down told me I could look like I have perfect teeth or get/make payments to work on my mouth then they will sign my employment dentist application. I could not believe the GREEDINESS of this place. It felt like they were holding me hostage. I will not go there or recommend anyone who wants a fair price or needs actual real work on their teeth done. That place is straight up greed. I should be called Mountain Shadows Family Dentistry of Greed!!!

My regular dentist was booked up so I decided to try this place out for a cleaning, they said I had 7 cavities and would have to make 4 separate appointments to get them all taken care of and the gum procedure. Worst part was I didnt even get a cleaning and they charged me 200 dollars just for x rays and consultation. Went a week later to my regular dentist and they showed me x rays and I didnt have any cavities.

I went in for the first time all good. Then they offered to do a bridge, ok, sanded my 2 teeth to prepare for the bridge. My teeth then became very sensitive to cold water when brushing them, called, said it was common even though I had a bridge before. No that was not normal. Ok. Went in to have my bridge and still my teeth are sensitive!! Wait 3 weeks they said it’ll be ok. Well, no it isn’t! I absolutely had no aches or sensitivity, I do now after their incompetence on me. Beware, do not enter this chamber of horrors!

I had the same dentist for the first 20 years of my life and was so hesitant to find a new dentist in buckeye once I moved here because I was nervous that it would never be the same- Mountain Shadows is exactly what I was hoping it would be! The staff are so kind and welcoming, always remember details about you and genuinely care about your dental health. Dr. Garrett is skilled and always advocates for what is right for you! I am so excited every 6 months to come visit and get my teeth cleaned because this office is amazing!

My husband and I have been seeing Dr. Garrett since 2012, he is truly caring and knowledgeable and just has a great way of dental care even when it’s out of our scope. Every one in the office is caring and so helpful. We have had nothing but the best care over the years. Easy to schedule and quick office visits. Even when he referred us to an Oral Surgeon and Endodontist they too were top notch! We have had weekend emergencies and we were taken care of then too! I can’t say enough good this about Mountain Shadows Dental.

I’m giving two stars ONLY because Dr. Garret. Dr. Garrett put in my crown six years ago. Immediately I had pain so I went back several times, finally the pain was taken care of and I was good for six years. Well ....the other day I bit something hard and my tooth (crown tooth) hurt really bad. I called to get into office and they won’t see me and are referring me to an endodontist. Wait what!? Why do I need to see a specialist for a tooth pain?????UPDATE***Spoke to office manager and was told the truth. The office manager said that because I was “rude to her and her office staff years ago that Dr. Garrett isn’t the right dentist for me”. I explained I had a disagreement (never rude) with them five years ago over cleaning treatments and how what my oral hygienist (works for Dr. Garrett) was saying vs what the office manager and staff was saying was different, that’s why I had a disagreement with them. I was getting threatened that my “periodontal disease” (of which was news to me) would come back and that’s when I got irritated and said who is she (Roselyn) to be telling me that. If my hygienist is saying I don’t need four cleanings a year anymore then that’s what the office staff should be saying. Not getting mad that I am changing my cleanings from four times to three times. This all didn’t matter to the office manager today, she actually said “Dr. Garrett isn’t the dentist for you, find someone else”. I told her I’d like to discuss this with Dr. Garrett and she said “write a letter”.I’ve heard of patients that LOVE Dr. Garrett, but say his office staff is horrible but they have to deal with it because they love Dr. Garrett. That’s too bad that Dr. Garrett has patients out there that are true to him and are treated this way by his staff.Dr. Garrett if you’re reading this I just want you to know the truth. You have patients that love you that have to “deal with it” when it comes to the treatment they receive from your office staff when trying to get the good dental care you provide.

I have been a patient at Mountain Shadows Family Dental for 3 years now and highly recommend them. Prior to coming here, I was getting care from a larger chain dental practice. The care that I receive from Dr. Garrett and his team is top notch. Dr. Garrett truly cares about his patients and is very knowledgeable. There is never any pressure to do any treatment and they will work on priorities first. I also have to say that their care is very affordable. I have been able to get a lot more dental work done at their office versus what I would have paid for at other practices. The dental technicians, Cindy and Mandy, are excellent and always helpful. Rachel, the administrative assistant is friendly and knows all the patients. I used to have a lot of anxiety about having dental work done and avoided going to the dentist, but not anymore. I always hated my smile and was very self-conscious. A couple years ago, I took advantage of Dr. Garrett’s Lumineers specials. Now I have a smile I can be proud of thanks to Dr. Garrett and his team. We moved away from Buckeye a year and a half ago and I still drive out of my way because of the great care they provide to my family and I. Please stop going to a chain practice and see Dr. Garrett, Cindy, Mandy, and Rachel. You won’t be disappointed!

I’ve been a patient of Dr Garrett’s for five years. This morning, while flossing, I had a crown that popped off. I called at 8, when they opened. They fit me in at 10. It’s now 11:30, crown fixed and back to my day. What more could I ask for? The staff are alwaYs pleasant and make you feel important...I wouldn’t want to go anywhere else!

Dr. Garrett removed my temporary bridge without pain. Put in my permanent bridge and gave me back a beautiful smile. Everyone in the office and all the techs are so caring and helpful. My four star rating is mainly due to the importance of kindness and respect. The staff gives you all of those qualities. Im new to the area and I am used to a dental cleaning 30 to 40 minutes. Today was my second cleaning and Im in and outta there and back in my car; 20 minutes flat. That just seems quick; plaque or no plaque. There were no clever water devices to back up the lite-weight scrapping. It just seemed slight and I have been getting my teeth cleaned 3 times per year, for years; but not in AZ. Once again, very nice people. I did have crowns done previously and I am totally satisfied after needed one adjustment. Yes I would recommend them but my recommendatiom comes with full disclosure of my experience. It is good to know what you migjt be up against.

I am here at 4:15pm on Thursday June 6, 2019 and they are closed. The door is locked and their phone machine is on. The hours listed on this website and their own message from calling them says they are open and that is a lie. I just wanted to start setting up appointments as new customers for my family; but already the service is questionable. I don’t know if I will try again next week or find a different dentist. Sorry, that is how I see it and many people don’t tell their bad experiences on these websites.
