I have a lot of tooth issues caused by genetics that I’m often rather self cautious about because I assume others assume I don’t take care of my teeth. Dr Schmidt and Chelsea were nothing but kind and made me feel validated and understood. It was definitely a judge free zone and I’m very happy to be in their hands and will be recommending them to friends and family.

This office is everything I’m scared of in a dentist. They seem great and make you feel so comfortable at first. I had an issue with a tooth and they “fixed it”. I have now been to them 3 times and to a different dentist because they still haven’t fixed my original problem!!! I have had to pay them on my third visit back which is not okay because they messed up. When I told the receptionist this, she got very rude and seemed not to care. Laughed me off when I said I should not have to pay this and that I will now go somewhere else. Then they found a cavity that they have missed during 3 different visits, with 3 different sets of X-rays in the same area? I was not told that I would be billed until after they did the third set of X-rays and “exam” if you want to call it that. Now I have to go pay out of pocket at a different dentist because this one already billed my insurance and said they “fixed it”. I am so angry and still in a lot of pain after a month and a half dealing with them. Long story short, they don’t take accountability for their mistakes and they just want money from their patients. I am so disappointed that I ever came here, I will not be back and I will be telling people I know not to trust these people. Be very cautious if you choose to go here. I would give 0 stars if that was an option.

Front desk was organized, personable and provided needed information regarding treatment plan. Hygienist was sensitive to my needs, friendly, and gave me a good cleaning. Dentist answered my questions, provided information for me to make good decisions about my care, and was friendly. A very good experience.

...this is the Best dental experience Ive ever had! I had three crowns done in one visit, and they came out great!Today I had an emergency tooth extraction, and that was also fast and painless!

Update: had my dental work done & it was a lot for one appt but they were fantastic about updating me on progress & what was being done. Happy with the results.After not being to a dentist in quite some time, the experience I had at Mountain View was incredible! So glad I booked an appointment to be seen here! Chelsea walked me through everything she was doing while cleaning my teeth and provided great feedback and was super sweet. Dr. Schmidt was equally as great and gave me a whole picture of what needed done in an non-overwhelming manner and was very nice. We will definitely continue to use Mountain View.

Most people seem to dread going to the dentist. I consider the staff at Mountain View Family Dental part of my circle of friends. Not the friends I hang out with but the friends who care about you.I love the fact that they can do my crown and two fillings from start to finish in 90 minutes and I dont have to go back. Diego is a crown and filling artist, making sure your mouth will feel normal once the anesthesia wears off.=================================6/22/21 - Dr. Schmidt and Diego to the rescue again! I started getting teeth pain a week ago, last night it was bad enough that I couldnt sleep without a couple of Tylenol.I had an appointment tomorrow but didnt want to wait. Dr. Schmidt squeezed me in this morning. We ended up pulling the tooth and getting set up for a bridge to replace the missing tooth.Little pain, even 7 hours later (less pain than the tooth had before) but I am taking the prescribed Tylenol and will start the antibiotics as soon as I pick them up.It is great to trust your dentist and his diagnosis.

I really have nothing but good things to say about these guys. My 8 year old daughter, who is scared of anything medical recently got teeth pulled. Not fun, and very scary. Afterwards in the car she said, “Mom, can you give that dentist a five star rating? They were really nice” not only that, but she’s reminded me every day for the past three days. They are kind and informative and we feel very comfortable there!

Changed dentists because I was not happy with pricing and procedure recommendations. The entire staff at Mountain View from front office to RDH and dentist were extremely helpful and did not attempt to price gouge or sell unnecessary services. The office is very clean and has up to date equipment. My recent cleaning was the best I have had in years. I highly recommend this business for dentistry.

New patient to this practice. Onboarding process was very streamlined, desk staff was clear and informed about new patient needs. All of the intake forms are online which was really nice to do that before arriving. Hygienist was very friendly and explained everything she was doing. Office was clean and they were taking the necessary precautions for COVID (temp taking, plexiglass at desk, no one in lobby, less patients in the office). Im happy to be working with this office and would recommend to anyone in the area!

I went to this dental office for 3 years and the staff was very helpful and kind along with wonderful service. After being told my molars were cracking due to my fillings expanding and contracting, I got two crowns and continued to have issues. In addition to getting crowns, I was being treated for my TMJ, and within the 3 years, got numerous adjustments on the crowns because my jaw pain was horrible. I then decided to get Botox injections to see if that would help my jaw and tooth pain. I remember saying, many times, that I feel like the jaw pain was not what I was feeling and I felt like it was my crowns. I was continuously told it wasnt my crowns and they looked good from the x-rays. I was told over and over that it would be best to do Botox and not worry about my crowns. After spending thousands on dental care and Botox, I was still in tears every night and couldnt figure out why it hurt so bad if it is my jaw and not my crowns. I decided to get a second opinion and when I went to another dentist, they believe that since I didnt have a root canal on either of these teeth, that would be recommended, even though I distinctly remember asking if I needed this. I decided to get the root canal on one tooth to start at the second opinion office, and was told the crown was put on top of my tooth where the filling was dangerously close to the nerve and there was also the start of an infection. The root canal was preformed and now, I am pain free. Additionally, after insisting that the pain was not from my jaw, the dentist said that he needed to refer me out because he had exhausted all resources at this dental office and he thought I needed oral surgery to fix my jaw. I do believe that I have severe TMJ, but the dentist never did any other testing or further review of my crowns, which made me feel like I was not listened to. Also, because I could use my HSA card to pay for these Botox injections, I felt like he was happy to convince me that the Botox was needed. The last injection I had was over $800 and it did nothing. Unfortunately, that was taken out of my HSA card and I will not get it back for the year. I would HIGHLY recommend that that a root canal be done with any crown and also, getting a second opinion BEFORE you do any Botox or any payments out of pocket. I felt taken advantage of at this office and not properly diagnosed.

They refused to do the dental work I needed done and on top of that they were extremely rude when I called to have my information sent to my new dentist office. I dont recommend go to an office that cares. They just want your money they dont care about helping you. Never felt so disrespected no wonder I stopped going here. I left 5 years ago to go somewhere else and now I remember why.

The staff is very nice, personable, and helpful by explaining all the procedures in detail so I knew what was going on. I had to have a tooth extracted after my crown and tooth broke. I do not like to go to the dentist but I was very happy with my experience. This was my first visit to the dentist in a a long time and I felt comfortable once I entered the door.

I went in to Mountain View Family Dental to have a crown replaced that another dentist in the area had completed less than a year ago.Dr. Schmidt was incredible. He was very clear about what had happened with the crown that was bothering me, informed me as to what he was doing as he replaced it, and then asked me to follow up at any point if I experienced any discomfort.Furthermore, this office has clearly put in an amazing amount of effort to be COVID safe. It was beyond clean and sanitized, and all procedures were thoughtful in terms of ensuring the patient’s safety.Finding a good dentist in the area has been impossible for me, and I am so relieved to have found Mountain View and Dr. Schmidt. Highly recommend!

I love this office! Polite and knowledgeable staff. Diego and Chelsea are wonderful! They really know their stuff. I should know, having worked in dentistry for 16 years. If you’re not a fan of visiting the dentist, this place is for you. They work quickly and the whole procedure was painless. I’m very pleased with the quality of the materials used, to restore my teeth. Dr. Schmidt’s “chair-side” manner is superb! I am truly fortunate to find such a gem of an office, so close to home.

I had 4 teeth ground down and New crowns in 2 and half hrs. The staff was fast, accurate and worked with my jaw condition. Bite feels good and I look forward to eating on that side of my mouth again. I am happy to say the pain has been so minimal. I am now 3 days out and of course they are sensitive but no throbbing and that was mouth surgery. Thank you to the Drs and all the staff. I fear the dentist less today.

Very professional and friendly, the doctor was very attentive to pain levels and was very communicative about what he was doing.The staff was very patient and kind to all the random thoughts on my mind about work that needed to be doneHad a issues: moving my rating from 5 to 4 because of the customer service interaction after asking them to release the authorization for my crown and being told if i choose not to get my worked done with them that it was me as the patient stating i did not like their services and will not be allowed back, even though i did like their services and care that was given.Not able to verify if they could do my crown when told i would need one because of my coverage, i was told they would need to check if a crown was covered and i had not agreed to an appointment to get the work done. But was notified they will find out if i was covered and contact me.So i talked to my parents about the conflicts and was preparing for financial complications that might occur because I lacked the my ability to pay due to being in the process of getting approved for disability.My parents requested that they would like my to go their family dentist because they will be helping me.Explained my situation to staff member i was asking to release the authorization too.The staff member made it clear it was a lot of work on their side to even get it authorized and that will prevent me from getting anymore services from them in the future. Even though I was told they would check if my coverage allowed a crown and i did not get informed that it was possible before authorizing anything.But it was in my opinion that it was unprofessional to state that i as a patient didnt like their services if i didnt go with them.The statement made by the staff member has made me change my review due to this conflict and lack of communication.

My first visit was for a tooth hurting in August 2020 .They put a cap on my tooth that Same day , it was made in house .1st they took a digital picture and then printed the cap on a printer made to do that. My next visit was September 2020 a month later,for a cleaning and x rays. The cleaning went very well, the x rays showed I had cavities on both sides of the rear of my mouth upper and lower for a total of 8,I had not been to a dentist since 2007, also another one of my fillings that was silver was cracking a tooth and needed a cap / crown.I went back in late October and spent 2 hours getting the fillings and cap /crown .John and Diego were very good at their jobs and making sure I could not feel any nerve pain. They were efficient and effective along with caring how they did things.I was impressed with the technologies this office has and ALL the staff, the office ladies and the lady that does the cleaning, sorry I can not remember their names. They use up to date technologies instead of the old way of having to revist the office 25 time just to get 1 tooth fixed.ALSO THE PRICE IS REASONABLE BECAUSE THEY GO WITH WHAT THE INSURANCE WOULD BE CHARGED EVEN WHEN I AM OUT OF BENIFITS FOR THE YEAR. I ONLY HAVE $1500 FOR A YEAR .

I am one who is not a fan of dentists. I’ve been fearful since I was young girl. But the personnel at Mountain View Family make my visit as pain free and pleasant as it could possibly be! The atmosphere and decor are interesting and welcoming. Once I step into the office I find myself thinking, I can do this! I feel happy there. That’s saying a lot from the person that used to truly dread the dentist visit!

My visit was very pleasant, called to let them know i was there for my appointment. They were ready right on time. They checked my temperature, asked the typical covid19 questions which were all negative. They were all very welcoming and inviting even in these strange times. They examined my teeth, took xrays and gave me a very tough diagnosis but thats my own fault. They were very loving and empathetic. I cant wait to go back. Thanks for everything! Dentist visits have always been tough but they were very gentle and considerate. Definitely would recommend!

My neighbor sent me to Dr. Schmidt and Im glad she did. I needed some pretty significant work-extractions, implants, and crowns. Im very pleased with the results. I was sore for a few weeks, but the outcome is wonderful. Its great being able to have everything done at one location and not be referred all over creation to specialists. My mouth is back on track.

Being new to the Brighton area and battling a life long fear of visiting the dentist, I was hesitant to make an appointment at a new practice. After several weeks of experiencing severe gum pain and discomfort, I decided to make an appointment with Dr. Schmidt. I cant describe enough how impressed and pleased I was with my experience. From the second I walked in I was warmly greeted by welcoming and helpful receptionists at the front desk. This was particularly important to me as someone who has had a difficult time going to the dentist throughout life. The atmosphere was very friendly and relaxing. When I got to see Dr. Schmidt I was blown away with how friendly and professional he was. He made me feel extremely comfortable and at ease and was very dedicated to thoroughly explaining to me what was going on with my gums and teeth, and the exact procedures and methods he was going to use to correct it. I felt very confident in Dr. Schmidt, and I felt very knowledgeable about my procedure. Dr. Schmidt is a great guy and really makes it a point to make his patients feel comfortable and at ease. He answers all of your questions and never makes you feel as if your question is dumb, strange, or invalid. I had an overall fantastic experience and will surely be coming back for any future dental concerns!

If I could give this place less than a star I would. I went in over 6 months ago. My first review was somehow deleted. They told me I needed three crowns. I am 30 years old, there is no reason I needed 3 crowns. I had them transfer their scans back to my family dentist (50 minutes away which is why I was considered the switch). My family dentist confirmed that the scans they shared werent even my teeth. I had a cavity in between my teeth - which is why I was in pain. I got a filling with my family dentist and everything was fine. No crowns needed. If they were willing to do this to me, who else are they trying to do this to? How many people are paying for things they dont need? There are a lot of other dentist options in Brighton - go somewhere else!

I highly recommend Mountain View Family Dental.I only needed a routine cleaning, but Chelsea the hygienist was personable and bubbly. The office was clean and extremely modern. My appointment was on time and much faster than I ever anticipated. Ill be returning in six months!

Dont be fooled by all the 5 star reviews. These people are great at buying reviews with nuggets tickets and other raffles for 5 star reviews.My frustrations come from a crown that Dr recommends for me to get done ASAP. I had no pain no discomfort what so ever. So I check my insurance doesnt cover it so I upgrade insurance to cover a good portion and wait over a year to get procedure done. They tell me out of pocket I will have to pay after insurance, which I cover same day. Now 5 months later insurance says it is not necessary, and I kind of agree with them. So only one that finds it necessary is only one profiting from transaction?Quality of work was not very good either just went in today for adjustment on crown and filling because of pain (which I never had before). Not only pain the tooth where they did filling feels like sand paper. I have never experienced that before.Receptionist can bring up the fine print but there should be a little more ethics in their practice.I sure do miss my old dentist!

Dont go to the doctors usually due to my work hours. My wife made my appointment quickly and Dr. Schmidt stuck around late last evening to see me. I really appreciated that. Got my stuff done and feel great today. Will be sending my crew here for sure.

Really impressed. I needed a bunch of teeth taken out and eventually implants and my dentist sent me to go see someone else. My parents told me to just come to Mountain View Family Dental. Dr. Schmidt got everything done the same day. Im coming here from now on, I cant afford to take multiple days off of work and doc can just do it all instead of me driving all over creation and making multiple appointments.

I am so glad I found Mountain View Family Dental in Brighton. The office staff is so kind, warm, friendly and helpful. My dental hygienist explained each step and was very gentle! I am looking forward to my next visit and in the meantime will start flossing!

As we all know, making a dentist appointment isn’t the most exciting thing in life but it’s very important, I’ve been coming here for a couple months now. I can honestly say the staff is great and super nice. Thanks to Dr. John I’ve been able to keep my sweet tooth, of course with regularly check ups. Highly recommended to anyone looking for a new dentist in the Brighton, CO area.

The staff at MVFD are extremely helpful and friendly. They are also very accommodating to the particular needs of each patient. I would recommend this dentist to anyone located in the area.

I have a HUGE fear of dentists. Up until the time before last, Ive been doing ok with Mountain View. Hes done two emergency crowns when Ive had either something fall off, or a tooth break. Dr Schmidt has been kind and made my visits easy. However, the time before last, after a back molar cracked, I ended up needing two crowns on the two back molars. It was NOT Dr Schmidt who did the work. I cant remember his name. And it wasnt that he was harsh, or even bad in any way, but I had a full on anxiety attack. Less than 6 months later, when one of those new crows was causing problems, it didnt matter how worried I was, I couldnt bring myself to make an appointment and go back in. That is, until the crown fell off....This time Dr. Schmidt did see me. We talked a bit, the crown was put back on, and I feel...a bit better.

So I am going to give this place SO MUCH PRAISE!!!!I went into this clinic because of my parents. They both have had great experiences and so I decided to try them because I was due for a teeth cleaning. I grew up in the dentist office when I was a kid; I had so many teeth pulled, braces, cavities filled and my wisdom teeth removed. Lets just say I HATE going to the dentist.But!! Dr. Schmidt and his staff are AMAZING!!! The ladies up front, Christine and Dawn made me feel so welcome and they were very patient with me and my insurance situation...haha!Dr.Schmidt truly CARED about me and my experience there. He made it comfortable for me and he took the time to explain WHY I need to get the cavities filled and why I need to get a crown put on my tooth.Fast forward to today, I got the cavities filled and the crown put on and I was SO comfortable that I was falling asleep....haha. Diego did my crown and he was so kind and gentle! He made sure to inform me of what he was doing and he made my experience that much better!I have never left the dentist in a happy mood until I came here. I will NEVER go anywhere else and I am super thankful for all of the staff and the doctor for making my time so great! THANK YOU!!

I had a great experience at Mountain View Family Dental. The staff is very welcoming as soon as you step inside. I went in for a deep cleanse and the dental assistant did a great job. She was very detailed and gentle. Dr. Schmidt was great! He was very nice and professional, he answered all of my questions. Overall it was a great experience and I would highly recommend.

Dentist, dental hygienist, and dental assistant were all super friendly and knowledgeable. Office had a nice atmosphere and modern equipment. Very happy with my cleaning and one day crown.

Got 2 crowns done recently at this office and I am so happy with the results! Customer service was great and Diego did a great job! Dr. John really educates you on why you need the work done and how to prevent it from happening in the future. Overall fantastic appointment and will come back in the future!

My husband and I have been patients of Dr. Schmidt for about four years. He is friendly, knowledgeable and explains things thoroughly. He invests in all the latest technology and the practice is far advanced of other dental offices we’ve visited in Brighton.Chelsea is a great hygienist and we enjoy Diego and the other assistants.The office is pleasant and clean.When our insurance was no longer accepted at Mountain View Family Dentistry, we joined their family discount plan. So far, it’s working for us.

This is an extraordinary wonderful, dentist office!I was new from out of state ...and I did not have a Dentist. My tooth was hurting!!They brought me into the office within 3 hours of my contacting them. Absolutely every staff member Was kind, friendly and helpful. The dentist should teach a class to other dentists, On how to interact with patients. Doctor John Puts you at ease with everything. Lisa was wonderful... Lynn was wonderful...the front officeStaff was wonderful.... In other words, this is the go to dentist!
