My experience today at Embassy Dental was amazing! The staff was more than welcoming and very well organized. I have never smiles this much when interacting with office staff ( they make you feel right at home). I have been a patient of Dr. Bozeman for over 10 years. His chair side manners are unmatched! He takes his time to get to know you and your family. How he remembers all of this I will never know. He provides you with information on your dental health and ensures you understand. Thanks Embassy Dental Brentwood!

A friend of mine recently went to this establishment with hopes of getting her dental needs taken care of. She recently got a root canal and a lot of dental work that caused her extreme pain. When she called the office she was given a run around such as “My advice is you come in tomorrow if it still hurts by then; like we keep telling you.” A statement like this is not only unprofessional but should get one star for patient care . You should have listened to your patients needs and heard her say she was in extreme pain and did something about it. She is a patient who is almost 40 years old with no prior rx history of pain medication. This to me shows the facility as being a bit inhumane. Patient care should be your first priority. Fix it.

The office is located amid a strip mall and there is ample parking. Both times I visited this location, I waited less than 5 minutes in the waiting room. Dr. Guise took great care of me. He made sure I was comfortable, he was very personable and we goofed off a little. He explained everything that he was going to do prior to the procedure and I didn’t feel anything while he was working on my mouth. The rooms were a little cramped, but clean and tidy. Everyone was friendly and the visit was overall pleasant.

My regular dentist was out of town. I had also moved but was back in town and needed help so was referred to Embassy for an emergency filling since I had moved an the crown that was needed was not possible. They were able to fit me in during the timeframe with the pandemic going on. The service was professional and kind hearted. They wanted to make sure it was taken care of before I left so that it would not get to where a root canal would be needed on the tooth. They also offered to send over the xrays when I was able to find a new dentist in the new city where I had moved 😁

Very poor service, I have never had a problem with dental care, as a 53 year old man until stumbling upon embassy dental. They expected me to pay a full amount upfront for a service I have never received from them. I called them and the guy over the phone was speaking to me in a very rudely tone. Horrible. Embassy Brentwood has gone south - before CoVID, but especially now. Tried three times this week to reach them by phone - cant get anyone to answer. Family member was just there today - no appointment reminder, no instructions for arrival/check-in re CoVID precautions, no glass up at check-in or use of PPE (masks, etc) - horribly prepared, no visible signs of appropriate precautions taken in light of the pandemic. Ridiculous. Family member left and canceled the appointment after waiting 30 minutes past check-in time. We are leaving this practice. Ever since Dr. Van left this location, its been a bit of a mess, but todays experience is unacceptable in light of public health concerns. Steer clear.

The Dental Assistant was most sensitive to my anxiety and tension and was very supportive. Dr. Van was also kind and reassuring. In particular, I was surprised (and impressed) that he personally called me at 7:40 that evening to check on me and ensure I was doing OK. That level of patient care certainly doesnt happen very often; and his concern was appreciated. Embassy Dental (as a corporation) is very supportive of Nashville CARES, the nonprofit agency where I work, and Im very happy to take my business there in return. I am most satisfied with the dental services and patient care at this office. Thank you.

I have been a patient for over 5 years now. I love the location and how easy it is to get myself taken care of. Dr. Van is a great doctor. Luckily in the 5 years I have been a patient I have only had to see him for a filling 2 times. He is hands down the guy to give you a shot if you hate needles. It is barely noticeable. I mostly see Mark, the hygienist and he takes really good care of me. I go every 3 months to keep my periodontal issues under control and he always makes sure I am comfortable and know whats going on and why. I really appreciate the entire staff at the office. Everyone is always so friendly and helpful. You can tell theyre a team that cares about not just their patients, but each other too.

This was one of the nicer dentists Ive been to. Everyone was very nice and welcoming. Everything was clearly explained to me about what was going to be done and the options I could choose to have. My word of advice, if you end up going, make sure you know what youre paying for (laser treatment, oral exam, fluoride, etc.), otherwise youre bill will be a lot higher than you expected and you may not be too happy.

Dr. Van and his team are the best! The office is very nice and the staff is great! I tend to get a little tense while at the dentist but the staff is so friendly it just feels like your visiting with friends! And the vibrating heated dental chairs are pretty great too! I feel like this office goes above and beyond my expectations of going to the dentist. I had a root canal a couple weeks ago and on a Friday evening after hours Dr. Van called just to make sure I was feeling okay and didnt have any questions or concerns. They are the greatest! It really made me feel like they actually care about ME! :)

Stay away from this office. I wish I had done my research before ever going there. Their billing practices are shady. Ive had many treatment plans in last few years. The estimates are normally off by $100 at most. I was told I would have to pay $951 out of pocket just to find out after the procedure it would be over $2,000 out of pocket. Im having to get a new dentist to finish the procedure. The new dentist already receied a pre-treatment plan from my insurance for much less their estimated treatment plan was. Ive asked several times for treatment plan for the second half and they never submitted it. They also make you come in and get a hundred X-rays before doing a cleaning. Something Ive never had done before. They said I needed a deep cleaning four times a year that would be $269 out of pocket. I went from never paying for a cleaning to $269 four times a year? Got a second opinion and the dentist laughed and said that was definitley not what I need. After doing research I see they tell that to a lot of people. Also, the crown next to the one they put on now has a crack in it all of the sudden.

The Dr. was very good at explaining the process and uses advanced and very up to date technology to show you detailed pictures of all your teeth and what they are treating. I have been a patient at Embassy for a couple of years. The staff as a whole offers a warm greetings followed by a smile. I always feel important, like I matter. I love Dr. Van and I love my hygienist. They are both very personable.Embassy offers a variety of services which minimizes the need to find additional doctors for specialized oral needs. Recently, Embassy has gone with an appointment reminder via text message...which I love. I dont have to fear forgetting an appointment and these reminders have actual kept me from forgetting completely. I love the reminder system. On the financial end of the spectrum...it is advisable prior to agreeing to any extensive dental work, to get a second opinion. This is just smart financial sense for anything pertaining to the human body. While Embassys intentions are good, a second opinion can very well save a patient $1000s of dollars for dental work that can possibly be done differently and for less money.I do believe you get what you pay for. I also believe that Embassys goal is to present a solution that will provide lasting endurance beyond what other dentist can provide. So, regarding what appears to be inflated costs for services, as a patient...the long term resolution has to be taken into consideration.Be smart and ask questions.

I should have read the other reviews before going. Very used car dealership feel. I pull up and the first thing I see is the dental hygienist outside smoking. Great. First, I have to go for a consultation prior to getting my teeth even cleaned. This consultation consisted of seeing 3 different people who all tried to push a million treatments on me just to get more money out me. After getting my 85 X-rays done, they tried to tell me I need to pay for a very expensive laser cleaning and fluoride treatment. Then, the next guy told me I need to come back every 3 months, so I dont get gingivitis. Mind you, Ive never even had a cavity in my life. Then I met the dentist, who looked at my teeth for 20 seconds and told me I have two cavities, which I do not even have any pain and show no symptoms of a cavity. After, pushing me with every way they could get money out of me, the took me to their benefit counselor, who walked me through if I were to complete all their extra treatments, it would just cost me an extra $500. After I said no to everything, she looked/spoke to me in disgust like I was an idiot. I should have read the reviews prior to going, as it appears this has happened to a lot of people!

The first time, I had my four month old son with me and the entire staff was so great; they even helped to keep him occupied and gave him a bottle while my tooth was being pulled! This most recent extraction was so simple. I was presented the options and not faced with any judgement when I told the dentist I simply couldnt afford a root canal. Everyone was professional and friendly. MEGA BEWARE! Read all the reviews carefully. I felt this place to be very used car lot/gimmicky. I went in for a cleaning. Had to deal with the two appointment mess. First was to do the initial consult. Huge waste of my time. Not even five minutes in the door and pushing for a teeth whitening and veneers. Kept kindly declining and somehow walked out with a quote for teeth whitening, veneers and a procedure for this periodontal disease I just found out i have. Oh course now that I have periodontal disease I cant just get a regular cleaning, I have to have the special treatment 4x a year at $150 a clip. Went to another doctor for a second opinion and they said they were crazy. No signs of periodontal disease at all.

I went in needing a root canal and was given a doctor who had to try for three horrifying hours to clear the infection. I was in so much pain I was dizzy, and asked them to manage the pain and was ignored. He just kept giving me shots in the roof of my mouth that did nothing. Then, after the three hours, another dentist came in and wanted to talk to me about financial expectations. I was visibly in pain, and the dentist actually said I know you are in a lot of pain but, we need to work this out... If I had had any strength to walk out then, I would have. When I was setting up a follow up, I asked for a different dentist, and was refused, being told he really is a good dentist, you know... I felt trapped, I was too weak and in pain to stand up for myself, so I just left. But I have never gone back, and now have great anxiety about going to the dentist. It was an absolutely horrible experience.

To Whom It May Concern,I have a complaint about a dentist, Avinav Batra, at Embassy Dental in Brentwood, TN. I made an appointment for exam and cleaning with the dentist. When I arrived for my appointment, I was told the dentist would not see me without x-rays. Even though I had made the appointment weeks in advance and the office had plenty of opportunity to request my x-rays from September, 2017, and I even gave the lady the name and address of the office where I had the x-rays so they could have those, I had to postpone my 10 AM appointment today until 1 PM because they would not see me until the x-rays arrived. Once the x-rays were there, I was told that the dentist would see me at 1 PM and I would have my teeth cleaned at 2 PM. Before I saw the dentist, the staff took a long time to upload my previous x-rays to their computer then they took multiple pictures, which took a long time, then the dentist took a long time talking to me. When he had left, I was told that I couldn’t get my teeth cleaned because the dentist visit had taken too long and I would have to reschedule to have a cleaning. I told the staff I couldn’t reschedule, due to my work schedule, and that I needed the cleaning today, on the day it was scheduled, because I am having surgery that prevents me from having dental work afterwards. They refused to do the cleaning I was scheduled for. I then requested that my visit not be charged, since I had come in to have a cleaning and the service I had requested was not performed. The dentist refused to not submit the charge. I then contacted my insurance company to find out what I should do and they recommended contacting the ADA, who directed me to the TN Board. I was given a corporate contact number for Embassy Dental, but no one answered the phone there. I feel I was deceived into the visit and the charges, and I was promised a simple cleaning of my teeth that they did not do I went in to have my teeth cleaned and was charged without receiving the cleaning that I made the appointment for. I am a very reasonable person and was more than patient with this company, literally spending all day at this dental office without receiving the services for which I made the appointment. I feel I should be paid for the time I wasted there. However, all I asked is that the charges not be submitted since the services I was promised, which was cleaning my teeth, were not performed.I dont like forming an opinion, but, given the facts, and from other reviews Ive read, it looks like this company is running scams. Sad that this is being allowed to happen among the professional community. I am a professional myself and would Never deny a patient service before I made them pay for expensive x-rays and other services they did not want. I would also Never promise a service then refuse to deliver it. There is nothing Professional about that.

Too bad I can’t give them zero stars. The most incompetent dentist and staff ever. I went to them for a crown on a implanted tooth. When I went for impressions, Dr.Van was trying to juggle like 3 patients at once which LITERALLY left me having to hold my mouth open for 30 minutes. Then he dropped the metal part for the crown (1/2 inch piece of metal) in my throat not once, but TWICE. He was fishing for it with his finger after he dropped it both times and I almost swallowed it. He was extremely distracted and unprofessional. THEN, I get a call from his front office saying I owed over a thousand dollars for the crown when I was quoted around 700 with my insurance by my implant doctor. I told them it should only be 700 and they told me I exceeded my limit for the year. This was end of December so I was like, well ill wait until next year to get the crown. They weren’t happy about that and told me I already signed an estimate. Which was a LIE. I never signed anything and was never even given an estimate or talked to about cost before the imprint. They ended up rescheduling me for a crown imprint the following month (January) and when I went in for that appointment the first thing they did was make me sign the estimate. I told them to show me the estimate I signed before and they couldn’t (because they didn’t have it and lied on the phone about having it.) Then, they told me I had to pay in full before they took the imprint. The previous time I got the imprint, they didn’t ask for immediate payment, so I didn’t have my health saving account on me. I told them my dad would call to make the full payment with the HSA later that day. They said the doctor refused to see me for my appointment unless I make full payment first. It was the rudest thing ever. I signed the statement and obviously would make payment before they send the imprints off to get a crown. Why would anyone waste their time getting imprints and then not pay and not get the crown made!!! Anyways, I told them that if they didn’t do the imprints and let me pay later in the day than I would NOT be rescheduling with them and I wouldnot be getting the implant crown, future cleanings, or any of fillings and other 2 crowns that I had scheduled. I canceled all future appointments with them and highly recommend you find another dentist.

The hygienist left lots of stains on my teeth. Im not impressed the the laser water jet. The fillings I got were fine. My child on the other hand was given a novocaine shot without her gums getting numbed first. It caused her a lot of pain. We are not in the dark ages. I feel terrible she had to go through that. We have since switched dentists and the new dentist found a number of issues that were completely missed. And dont even get me started on the ortho experience we had with Embassy. I dont think every one is bad, but there are some big problems. I think going with an independent dentist and ortho rather than a chain is a better idea. We are much happier with both our ortho and dentist.

Ultimately, Dr. Keith Benthuysen located at the Brentwood, TN location was absolutely fabulous. No pain!!! The doctor explained every procedure he conducted with updates along the way. I went in for an extraction and a root canal. It was my very first time having dental work of this nature. I arrived nervous, but the doctors staff, especially two lovely ladies that greeted me in the front and the young lady that assisted the doctor with my procedure, made me feel right at home. I felt as if I knew the doctor and his staff all my life. It was just an incredible experience, and I would recommend anyone who is nervous or first timer to definitely consider this facility. Although I missed his call, Dr. Benthuysen called me and left a voicemail at home later that night to ask if I had any discomfort and if everything was okay.
