They dont even deserve 1 star. We set our kids up with savings accounts. All our accounts with them have address, email and phone numbers to contact us. I would think they would try EVERY available contact source when threatening to give my kids money to this Florida unclaimed property thing. Seriously!? Ive never heard of such a thing! In my eyes you stole my kids money and gave it away...at the cost of 25 bucks per account. So even when I do claim it they will be short 25 bucks each. You should have exhausted ALL FORMS OF CONTACT before you do something like this. Shame on you. Do not trust this establishment with your money!! My remaining accounts will be closed 1st thing tomorrow!

I came into this branch and was greeted and was shown respect, I cant remember her name so Im not gonna guess it but my son passed away and I had to close his account , the young lady who took care of me showed me empathy and compassion for my loss, even handed me a tissue. Im a member of this bank and when it comes to customer service, they have what is needed for times like this. If there was 10 stars I would rate that. Thank you for helping me

Update: I emailed based on the response below and NEVER received a response back. The copy/paste response is merely for public views and not meant to actually help a customer.Went in to apply for a mortgage and thought by going inside and meeting with an expert would actual be best since this is a new process for me. Seemed very easy but never asked for documentation on anything, which I had readily available and once I left I literally could not get a hold of the mortgage expert who gave us the wrong loan to apply for and never returned an email or a call. I had to call myself 20 days after applying, waited on hold for over 30 minutes, only to be told that I applied for the wrong loan and the application was canceled. Lost out on putting offer on a home we wanted because of an unresponsive bank. Everything seemed great on paper but clearly they have way to many applications and not enough competent people, would not recommend. Try Grow Financial, much easier to communicate with and people who will actual answer the phone and return emails, they dont wait for you to have to call them for everything.

I been with them for years I think they are pretty good. But what I dont like is that I work long hours and its hard to be able to go to the bank because of the hours I work during weekdays and yall is closed on Saturdays some people cant make it to the bank during the weekdays due to their work schedule!!!

Bank itself is great. But they need to do better with the live teller. It seems as very few tellers are available leaving a customer to wait about 20-40minutes.

They never expressed when I went to open an account that they would put a never ending hold on my paycheck. They have had $1800 of my money and won’t let me access it for 10 days now. My rent is late, my credit cards are overdue, and when I called them they just shrugged it off and told me it was there policy to not let me access my money indefinitely. I am going to close the this useless account ASAP because if they can’t handle an $1800 check, they surely can’t handle a $500k check. Really disappointed in the general lack of empathy for anything but their ridiculous made up policies.

I am overall happy with Suncoast but its a bummer that they are not open on the weekend for even half a day on Saturday. I lost my debit card and was not able to use any of my funds the whole weekend so I had to wait until monday to get issued a new card.

I finally found a credit union that makes you feel like family! I have used multiple other big chain banks that were business driven. Sun Coast gives back to our community and I love seeing that. They work hard to be on the forefront of community service (just in case you did not know). Their interest rates are competitive. We did also recently went through a mortgage refinance. Now, I felt that their process was quite slow for this, although I have no experience with refinance but it took a few months. Nonetheless, our rates were outstanding and we will be mortgage free in 15 years! Hallelujah! Thank you SunCoast for dedicating yourselves to our community! Kudos.

When I first went into the location it seemed as if I was a problem. I wanted to get a loan for a 1995 Jeep. I knew the rates would be high just because it was an older vehicle. As soon as I walked in I told the woman I would like to get a loan on a vehicle. I waited about 20 minutes before I was helped further. I was sat down by an older lady and I told her the same thing. Once she put all my information into the computer, she asked what vehicle it was. I told her it was a 1995 Jeep and then she told me they dont do vehicles over 10 years. (I talked to someone prior on the phone and they said they did.) Once I argued with her I was going to take my business somewhere else then she tried to help me. She then told me that the vehicle was only worth 3,000 even with all the upgrades. I told her Kelly Blue Book said it was about 8,000 with everything and she said they dont use that. Long story short, if you are under 25 and have good credit it will be hard for you to deal with these people.If you are trying to get a newer vehicle, just go to another bank to get a loan.

I didnt know with new accounts,there was a limit on my atm withdrawal amounts. 220.00 for the first 6 months. That is ridiculously low and a deal breaker for me. There are far better credit unions with better options. Ill be canceling my account with Suncoast today.

They wanted to pull my credit to open a deposit account. Associate didnt even came to greet me at the lobby only called my name and barely standed up. Didnt feel like this is a good place to open an account

Applying for any loan sucks! Credit a1! I Very low bills, great income and still never get approved. They say that they help their members but its a lie! 11yrs with this credit union and a credit card that is always paid! And still no help! HORRIBLE!!!!!!!!

I have had a checking and saving with suncoast for over 20yrs and I love them. Never had an issue. Ive been able to get approved for 2 loans. When someone stole my debit card suncoast made sure I got all my money back. They are a great credit union and Ive always recommended them to other people. I have never used another cu or bank just because theyve been good to me.

They have no assistance Avilable for emergencies during Holidays and if you dont want you childeren to starve dont use fraud prote tion it will lock your entire bank up your card and access to check your account online!

I choose this credit union b/c they had great reviews online! However, I have never dealt with such a terrible customer service dept. First off, what they dont tell you when you join is that theres a 9 business day (aka two week) hold for new members when they deposit checks. So, if you get a live check from your employer (even when that employer is the Hillsborough School District), they put a 2-week hold on it, meaning you cant use your own money for 2 weeks.I have a documented message chain with their customer service dept that shows their workers are not properly trained by their inability to answer any of my questions. I asked to speak to a supervisor 2x but was told my only option was to call Risk Mgmt. However, when I called Risk Mgmt, they said this has nothing to do with their department. I spent 40 mins on hold to be told I was directed to the wrong dept. This company is extremely unorganized. The customer service email center people are incapable of doing their job.All being said, I am closing this acct. What a waste of time! Save yourself the hassle and go somewhere else.

Do not apply for a mortgage with Suncoast! They have incompetent loan officers. I was told to pay higher closing/down payment fees that were not disclosed any part in the process. I had to use another mortgage company at the 11th hour. Horrible!!!

I had a personal account with Suncoast in 2014, but I had to close it since at the time I wanted to open a business account for a small business that was about to start, they told me that they could not because my credit was 590 and they accepted only for On top of 620pts, how incredible they are, I went with Grow Financial and they didnt even look at the credit and at the moment they opened my accounts.
