Daissy Moreno was awesome. She was very responsive and answered all my questions very clear and in details. This was the first time I ever get apply for pre-approved car loan before going to dealership and it was the best experience ever. I saved so much time at the dealership . Very knowledgeable and friendly staff, Daissy and Vince helped me with an auto loan refi which helped me lower my rate and payments. I was also able to pay off a credit card in the process!! Dont even use this bank for my account because Ive heard of the recent downfall of this credit union, I just go here for the ATM because my debit doesnt charge me for using it. It ate my card, now Ill be getting a new one, shouldve went to publix ATM... GTE goes all digital, and cant even get their ATMs right, I feel so bad for their members...

Horror experience , if u owe on a credit card and are just trying to reach them ,its near impossible and then if u do they hang up like they work so hard on a phone.... Then Ive been with them for years now and I never seen such degradable service and non contact type, its all automated on phone and gets u no where when making a payment as we speak this specific gte just hung up the phone!

I hate that even though I only have a car payment with GTE, every time I make a payment, I always have enter my bank acct info. What a horrible website. DO NOT USE THEM IF YOU CAN AVOID!!!

Always have a good experience with staff when I come in to make my car payments. I was very inquisitive to Ms. Nicole when I came in recently, and she was very pleasant, informative, and fantastic. Very clean location and nice atmosphere. The only reason this is not a five-star review is because Im not a fan of the electronic teller system in place. It seems to me to be less efficient and harder to be personable. Overall, great location!

I’ve been to several GTE financial locations and there seems to be a common trend. That trend is wait in line to go stand in front of a video teller machine for another 5 to 10 minutes while you wait for a person to actually pop up on the screen. The only thing virtual about this new system is that it’s virtually impossible to do anything quickly at one of your branches anymore. You guys suck

I love this bank.Maybe the branch is busy and I have to wait if I go there during the weekends, but to be honest I do not need to go there.I manage everything online.The service is great, and the offers are fantastic.you cannot find the service and offers of the bank in any other banks, I had two more checking accounts in two other banks and I had to close one of the because of the new policy (having minimum $500 per month as direct deposit)Definitely I recommend the bank

We were the victims of identity theft resulting in successful attacks at several institutions including GTE Financial. Shannon Barnett at the Bloomingdale branch, with kindness, empathy and understanding, went over and above to help us collect data for the Hillsborough County Sheriff and bring the problem to a timely resolution with 100% return of our funds to us. Without Shannons assistance, I am confident this issue would still be in limbo. Many thanks to Shannon to going the extra mile with extraordinary customer service. Thanks to GTE Financial for making us whole. We are very grateful.

Ive been banking with GTE for several years and they have been good to me throughout my experiences with them. Checks have always deposited quickly, they have been helpful, getting a loan from them was a good experience, and overall I have not had issues that were unreasonable.Getting a hold of a customer service representative was not that difficult(everyone uses automated systems now, but getting someone wasnt difficult). There arent a bunch of hidden fees that they nail you on like Bank of America and some other banks do.GTE has been helpful and with some of these other people who are posting reviews, it seems that the issues lie with them and not the bank(even though it is understandable to have a bad experience time to time with anything).

I walked in no customers there . Gentlemen at the desk told to to sign in at computer in the middle. He was on phone. Sounded personal I sign my name and sat down. I needed to order checks but I needed to change my address to the new one. I sat there for twenty minutes. The gentleman was still on phone ignoring me completely. I got up and left. This has convinced me GTE isn’t customer oriented. Looking for a new bank.

Continual decline in service until its at a point that Id rather be at a bank! Completely inept employees! Horrible wait times . Customer service is a JOKE! I left after 40 minutes and 6 attempts of them trying to reissue a card AFTER the initial 18 minutes to get someone to help me because they couldnt figure out how to print my card! This was WITH the branch manager doing the work with another employee!I ended up leaving without a card AFTER an hour.To top it off they charged me $10 for a replacement card !!!Complete incompetence from the top down!Dont sign up here unless you want to know that every time you come in you will be treated like you dont matter and waste half of your day.I have been here for 18 years and stayed only because its a pain to switch, but Im done. I would rather set up all new accounts than deal with this utter let down of an institution.

Overall the worst bank ever! I have been with this credit union for 8years! They started this new thing where they charge a monthly fee if you are not making $500 or more. They dont care about their members any more! I am closing my account and making sure my friends and family stay away! They are money hungry and i never liked how they limit you on transactions per month when it is YOUR own money. STAY AWAY! go to another credit union you will be happier!

Want to wait in a long line for a wall ATM? Even once youre there then you have to wait for a human to appear on the screen sometimes taking multiple minutes. This is by far the worst customer service experience of any bank Ive ever used in my life. Go to complain about it? They say its been that way for 3 years, many people complain and they dont care.

The manager Chantale is the most rude and condescending individual I have ever come in contact with and lacks even basic customer service skills. I will start driving over to the S. Dale Mabry Branch to take care of anything just to avoid this branch.

If I could give zero stars, I would. I had a banking error where two payments, my car payment and my rent, were deducted twice. Overdrafted my account over $900 and charged NSF fees. I called customer service and was told to go to the branch to dispute the charges by filling out a form. I went to the branch and was told there was nothing they could do for me on a Saturday, but to go to a branch on Monday and speak with the fraud department. Then she said no, they would probably just refer me back to the vendors themselves; I would need to call them and ask them for a refund. I told her that I had been a member for FIVE YEARS and felt like I havent been treated with respect; that I might not be their biggest account, but I have been loyal and that after this is cleared up I will no longer use them. She thanked me and said have a nice day. I believe in credit unions and not banks, just not this one.

The worst service from any bank Ive had. Ive been with them for over tens years and these last few have been the worst. They simply do not care about their customers. I was charged random fees on my account which they replied they could not remove them without filling out special internal documentation and forms which only GTE has. Closing my account and moving on. Do not waste your time, there are many other banks that will work with you and not charge hidden fees.

Very bad experience !!! The whole staff there need new training ! They have this racy attitude like they do not want your business .As an African american When I got there , waited for 23 minutes before someone finally acknowledge that I was even there . Finally she came out and asked me all kinds of questions because I was trying to open a business account and a minor account at the same time . So, anyway she gave me an application , filled it out in 2 seconds meantime she has already called another couple that was waiting probably 3 seconds and by that time I was already done . Now I had to wait for her another 25 mins. Finally I just left with my $ 15.000 fifteen thousands . Remember I was coming from another bank . Please find another credit union not GTE

I fell behind 2 car payments, on the day I was paying they had my car repoed with no warning, I received a letter to contact them on the very same day my car was towed, they didnt give me a fair chance to make it right, never did I think my car was in danger of being repoed, When i called and spoke to a supervisor she said under law they are not required to inform me of their intent to repo the car, basically to get over it, they said to release the car i would need to make 3 payments and a 350 fee on top of the 40 a day at the repo yard, Ive been in the financial industry for almost 30 years, a Registered Rep for almost 20 years, I will never do any other business with GTE and i will make sure whenever I have a chance to warn others about how they conduct business and to stay far away.

Im very disappointed in the treatment i just recieved .I had called to talk to them about an issue pretaining to my car , and the Employee was very dry and you could tell ( it wasnt even being neutrel just straight up rude ) since i didnt have my member number on hand , it just made it worse . instead of telling me if i needed it for the phone call that was i being transferred to which she literelly put me on hold( and didnt tell me i was being transferred until 2 seconds before putting me on hold ),on top of that shes didnt even say thank you for calling or anything ( ive had prior phone calls with her before and same thing , like she told me the Last time if we arent talking about money , we arent on the same page .. I get it its a credit union but since when did money become more important than the members situation(s) or loyalty towards them .

Zero customer service because the tellers were all replaced by ATMs. No other bank has this total disregard for customer service.The lines are horrendous and once you are to the ATM you need to wait again for someone to eventually video chat you.Absolutely awful.

The only reason I use this bank is because they financed my car. Which is saying a lot already right there they are the only bank that would do it they must have been desperate for that interest lol. But anyways back to the point I hate GTE financial don’t think you’re gonna talk to a real person you’re talking to a tv screen and each and every time I come in I am never disappointed I always leave with a headache👍🏻 I deposited 1,000 into my account (the one and only time I tried to use this bank for anything besides paying my car payment) MISTAKEEEE. and the woman on the screen told me I did 800. After 2 weeks of calling the manager and waiting to get a hear back finally I hear back from them and they credit my account. 🤣 The woman actually ended up getting fired well deserved obv I have never spoken to someone more rude and obnoxious they should hire better tv screen bank employees once I get a new car im out and good luck to u who actually trust this place with holding your money 😫and as for the little guy that runs around and thinks he owns the place (if u been to this location u know exactly who I’m talking about) if you’re really all that why are you working at the GTE in Brandon huh ? I just hate this place and it hurts my soul every time I have to go out of my way to make a car payment like what is this the Stone Age why can’t I pay it online ?? Worst bank ever. They charge you fees every single time they can and to ask them for something is to wait for couple of wks for them to say no. They didnt had a roll of quarters and I have to go to Walmart to get one but they dont see that. They dont have enough employees and the line goes outside . I dont recommend this bank at all. If they have half of star I will give them the corner.

There is a Caucasian female employee working there, She boasted 9 years now. Displayed a totally Lazy, inconsiderate, rude and unprofessional attitude. Our credit union is a shared branch with GTE FCU and we wanted to cash some checks. She was unwilling to find the shared bank in the computer system. Finally, another employee came over and showed her where it was in the computer....Wow! she really got a pissy attitude then and only would cash the on for my wife. A couple days ago, i went back to deposit some checks and the counter line was approximately 20 people deep with one teller working. None of the employees tried to explain, apologize or console the customers. it was a 45 min wait.....SAD!

ATM never works. Tellers are machines with webcam. Cash was taken and machine froze. The bank issued a credit for what was a cash deposit.
