John Paul has been cutting and styling my hair for .......are you ready? 25 years! He is an exceptional hair stylist and does a wonderful job with my very curly hair. I recommend him highly! All of the personnel at the salon are professional and friendly. You should also consider BOE for nails..Cassandra if wonderful as well.

Had a horrible experience here and will never go back. She had no idea how to cut wavy curly hair even though she said she did. She used razor on my hair and ruined my ends!! Then had the nerve to charge me extra because she said it was a lot of work... disgusting, unprofessional!!

He listened and did exactly what I wanted, but made sure to keep my extra-long hair healthy, which I appreciate more than anything. The other staff in the building were all very accommodating and personable. I thoroughly enjoyed the entire experience and am looking forward to my next visit. Between CoVID and back surgery, I have not been in a hair salon since January. I have had my hair professionally colored for over 50 years but I wanted to go gray. I was intimidated going to a new stylist. I cannot tell you how pleased I am with John Paul. He listened to my concerns, understood what I wanted... after me parading umpteen pictures in front of him. 🤦‍♀️My cut is care free. Best of all, 3-4 more cuts and I will be completely gray.So long blondie! I have earned every gray hair on my head.If you are searching for a stylist, I highly recommend John Paul.

John Paul Lauricella - Master Stylist at Boutique Out East - has been coloring and styling my hair for more than 20 years! First in Buffalo, NY and now in Florida. He is an exceptional listener and his technical skills are outstanding. He is honest with me about what might work and what might not. I cant recommend him and the entire staff at this salon enough. I hate to leave a poor review because the stylist I really liked on a personal level but the reality is I left this salon with over bleached hair to the point it was falling out in clumps. The salon attempted to make it right by giving me a refund and a deep conditioning treatment for free. The owner suggested I come in a few days after my first free (I paid the price of my hair) deep conditioning treatment for another and then I was told when my hair was wet at the sink that I would be getting my refund MINUS one deep conditioning treatment. I assumed it would be free considering the damage done to my hair and the fact that I would NEVER have needed multiple treatments in the same week if not for this awful experience. I felt slightly tricked and would have never agreed to pay 40$ for a treatment that probably wasnt going to do anything. I went to another salon within a week of this happening and they told me I needed to chop my hair because it was so dead and was not coming back. My hair was all the way down my back before visiting this salon and now it is above my shoulders and still very damaged. I would have never thought a professional salon could be capable of producing this kind of work. This was also the second time seeing this stylist for the same service. I waited longer than the recommended time to come back and bought the mask I was asked to and paid for the conditioning treatments at the salon to help protect. I did everything that was suggested to me so in no way did I think this was an actual risk. Damage? Yes. Damaged hair to the point I cant even brush it and ultimately have to cut it all off? Never.

I followed John Paul out east from where he used to work in my neighborhood. He is a skilled and experienced stylist who gives me a great cut. Im challenged in terms of having a simple but stylish cut that is age appropriate. John Paul accomplishes this for me with ease. He is kind and personable as well. Im handicapped and everyone at the salon is respectful and helpful to me. Ill keep coming back!

This was my first time going to this great salon. I had a facial with Shannon and I was really impressed with her professionalism. She discussed my skin care needs and advised me in options. I had a facial and dermaplainining. My skin looks great. Then John Paul did my base color, low lights, cut and blow dry. I am very happy with the results and I will returning to see both of these great beauty professionals. The salon is clean and nicely decorated.All of staff are very friendly and helpful!

I am new to Lakewood Ranch Area, moved from New York just 3 months ago. I wasnt to sure what I would do for hair in Fl. I walked in to this Salon and staff was very polite. My hair stylist was John Paul. He was fantastic in listening and talking. He did a fantastic job on my cut , color/highlights. He just made my life in Florida better by calming my nerves on what I will do with my hair. My hair cut appointment with John Paul exceeded my expectations! I have fine curly hair which I find unmanageable. John Paul worked with me, listened to what I wanted and suggested a cut that would work with my hair type. When we came down in January, I tried Boutique Out East and I have been very pleased with the quality of both the nail techs and the hairdressers. They listen to what you want but will give suggestions on options you may try. In the end, it is YOUR desires that are met. Cassandra is my nail tech and both Thomas and Brittany have worked on my hair and Ive been pleased with both. It is so nice to have a salon I can count on when we come down next year--keep up the good work! By the way, I love the special deal you give on gift certificates--we hope you offer that next year also...saves a few dollars!

Shelly did an amazing job texturizing my hair and getting me on a product regimen that gives great results and has lasted me over 6 months!Since posting my review above, Ive had the privilege of getting an incredible hair cut by John Paul (I look like I have twice as much hair after the cut!), the most relaxing facial ever by Shannon (the heated bed and mini massage put the experience over the top!) and gorgeous lash extensions by Julea (Im loving looking so wide eyed and awake all the time!).

After a frustrating hunt to find a place where someone can cut bone straight hair, I found Boutique Out East and John Paul. Cassandra might be the best mani-pedicurist around and wickedly funny. Kolleen on the front desk is sharp, keeps things flowing, and is a world class conversationalist. People who work here stay here with very little turnover! Not a lot of pressure to up sell. And its like Cheers - after the second visit everyone knows your name.

I was attempting to make a change and wanted to try color and hilights at a new salon and with a new stylist. I was so disappointed with my experience with John Paul. I have been hilighting for years and my hair turned bright orange!! I was truly shocked and found John Paul’s response very upsetting and unprofessional. He simply stated” I said it would look different.” I was then appalled by the 175$ I paid for just hair color!!! I too am from ny and never paid this for color in my life! He made no attempt to see what he could do and stated he had to use more color than usual. My hair is above my shoulders. I found him brash and he took several clients during my appointment. I’m sick over the money I lost and had to have it corrected by my old stylist. I do not recommend this salon at all. I was very discouraged by my experience at Boutique out east and John Paul.

She spend at least twice the one as I am use to and a lot of texturising . She is very talented and I love my haircut and know I have found a new home there ,.
