Visited Elan Manatee while trying to find a place for mother-in-law. She chose another facility primarily because of an established relationship with her church, but Elan Manatee was definitely one of the best couple places we saw. They had the best 1 bedroom layout of any place we visited - most room in the living room because of the kitchenette layout, and very nice built-in shelves that are perfect for displaying family treasures. Especially liked the brightness of the dining room - windows covered 3 sides, didnt feel like a cave like some places did. We sampled the food and it was very good. Whitney was a great host and really connected with mother-in-law. Highly recommend you check this place out before making your decision.

Professional, caring staff in Assisted Living and Memory Care.We know that there are great activities to keep our loved one physically and mentally stimulated. Wonderful facility to age gracefully while attended to with tender loving care. Amazing place for mom or dad

She leads a strong team who provides top notch care to our residents. We have managment, care givers, nurses, housekeeping, dining and maintenance that have been here since we accepted our first resident in August of 2019!! My husband has been in this facility for 4 months. It has been hard for both of us but I would like to tell you about a fabulous nurse, Jackie DeSantis. Jackie is not only kind, caring and compassionate, she is also proactive, knowledgeable and doesnt stop until she solves any issue that arises. I feel so grateful for her nursing especially during this crisis. The staff there is excellent but Jackie is one who goes above and beyond! Elan is lucky to have her.

I have been employed at Elan Manatee for about 5 months. I knew the minute I met Shannon, the Executive Director, that I wanted to work there. I have a degree in management and I was an Operations Administrator for 20 years for FDOT. Shannon’s management style is superior. Her staff is happy to come to work because they know they will be treated fairly. In turn if they are happy, they will do their best to ensure the residents are as happy as possible.We are all struggling with the Covid outbreak, but be assured, Elan Manatee is taking all precautions possible and doing their best to care for the residents.I by nature am not “sunshine and butterflies”, but Shannon has reminded me that while in her building, I will be. I remind myself that every morning when I arrive at work! It is my pleasure to work with all of the staff at Elan and it warms my heart to see the love and compassion given to the residents. I am myself a senior citizen and I would be blessed to live out my golden years at Elan Manatee!!

I highly recommend this Facility!! We just moved my Mom in (from another nearby facility). The staff has been so helpful to Mom and all of us during this quick transition. They have gone above and beyond to help us make the transition as smooth as possible.The staff is attentive, friendly, and caring; there is concern for the well being of the residents. The atmosphere is charming and the residents are cordial and so friendly. The food is great! The facility is beautiful. Many useful amenities and Mom loves having Direct TV (she has found it has been more reliable than Spectrum cable).A special thank you to Janette R. and Susan W. for their above and beyond guidance and attention to all the details!! Elan has been a great place for my Aunt to live during the Covid-19 Pandemic. They have gone above and beyond all required protocols to keep everyone including the staff as safe as possible. They provided updated and pictures regularly during the period that we were unable to visit which relieved a lot of stress for me. Shannon, Whitney and the rest of the staff are wonderful and the place is a beautiful for my Aunt to live. I would not consider any other Memory Care or Assisted Living for her.

This facility is so warm, calm, and inviting. The residents seem so happy. Touring the dementia unit was like no other. Residents engaged and having fun. Multiple activities going on. All the residents were engaged. Looking forward to my father in law moving her in the near future. Thank you Genette Radel for answering our questions and providing a peace of mind with the process. You are a true gem!

My mother, who suffers from Alzheimers disease, and I attended the 9/12/18 Memory Cafe event at the Elan Manatee welcome center located at 7230 55th Ave East in Bradenton. I cant say enough good things about the experience. We were greeted and guided through the County Fair-themed event by several people including Dr. Cate, Dementia Coach; Rene Cole, Community Relations Director and Del, Memory Engagement Specialist. They quickly got my mother engaged in some craft projects and games that she thoroughly enjoyed and provided a number of fun fair-food treats. I also benefited from the experience; in addition to having the pleasant opportunity to socialize with others who are caring for memory impaired loved ones, the staff provided me with several tips that have already eased and improved my dealings with my mother as her caregiver. We had a great time and are looking forward to the next Manatee Memory Cafe event scheduled for Oct. 10th.
