I toured this community prior to Covid. It was clean and staff members were very helpful. They communicated well with the residents and you cold see the love and compassion they have for them. After researching other communities I did decided to place my husband here. They stay in constant communication with me. Thank you Bradenton Oaks for always keeping me posted on what is going on with my husband. I appreciate all of you.

I would be lying if I said it was love at first sight, however after speaking with the sales director and doing a virtual tour of the Bradenton Oaks. I have to say I could feel the love and compassion that she feels for every life that she touches. If the staff at Bradenton Oaks has half the compassion and love for the residents they are top notch. It is not always about the appearance.. Take the time to research even if it does not look like a five star palace...

Looking for a senior community for a loved one is never easy.. Bradenton Oaks went above and beyond to help me with placing my dad. Coming to his home and showing him how caring and loving you all are was extremely helpful.. He loved that you all cared enough to make sure he understood the entire process... I can not thank you all enough for everything...

My sister and I placed our mother at Bradenton Oaks last year. We have seen several changes through out this year for the best. The food has improved 100%, the place is clean and cheerful, staff is more engaged. Our mother is happy in her apartment. I would recommend Bradenton Oaks to any family that is looking to place their loved one.

Since she has moved to Bradenton Oaks she has started to smile, socialize, and get involved with activities.. I am so great full for the Bradenton Oaks team and what they have done for Grammy...

After doing virtual tours with several communities and meeting with several people. We decided that Bradenton Oaks was the place for my mother. We did a virtual tour of this community that took well over an hour. The sales director Wendy never acted like it was a bother. She showed us everything and then stayed on the phone to answer several questions we had. She also introduced us to several staff member through out the tour.. Thank you all for all that you do.

Terrible place. We look out for a woman from our church there and we have had to advocate for her multiple times. You can never get a hold of anyone there in management to talk to and on several occasions they didnt notify us when she fell and had to go to the hospital. The only way I find out is from the hospital when she is to be discharged. If I could find a number for the state to come in and investigate I would.

The aids are routinely on their phones and not available when called. The facility needs to complete their remodel as the back section of the building has a terrible smell from a flooded room. They say no smoking, but a resident is routinely smoking in their room, adding to the bad smell in the back section of the facility. The remodeled rooms are nice and most of the residents are friendly and make the living experience enjoyable. The food options are small portions and not the best quality but it keeps you fed.

Try other facilities........then tell me what you think. Do you like bedbugs? Try the Cottages. Better yet........try the food.......no privacy either! However, the staff are really friendly, caring and nice, under the circumstances they have to work.Moved to Bradenton Oaks. No bugs! The food? 100% better. It’s not Michaels but it’s pretty good. The desserts are great. What?A key to my room and a kitchen! It makes meweep. LOL. Staff are nice, too.Be your own detective. Tell your family.

If not familiar with elderly assisted living care, then one might get turned off a bit. Assisted living centers are difficult to operate, at best and must do so at minimal cost. As result, they sometimes seem in somewhat lesser quality state.

My mom has been there for about three months. As other reviewers have stated, the prospective resident is promised everything, but in reality it is quite difficult to get anything accompolished. I have made several requests of both the nursing supervisor and director and few have been fulfilled. It seems they have no system in place to pass your request on to the staff member that can execute it.Some on the staff are outstanding, while most are average or less. Ringing ones alert pendant does not always bring help in a timely manner. I guess as with most old folks, they are always complaining about the food. My mom hasnt experienced any abuse, only some neglect.Generally the place seems a little run down and is not always clean. Quite often I can feel my shoes sticking to the floor in the dining room and the elevator. The dining room has just been fitted with white plastic wall paneling that makes it look very institutional.I am on the fence as far as recommending it. If it all you can afford I guess you could get by, but if you have those extra dollars for a better place I would upgrade.I agree that they take some people that really should be in a nursing home. If your loved one is pretty self sufficient I think they could reside there.

It has improved with remodeling and a lots cleaner. June 2018 last year Respite care was a worry, not worried now, call lights was her only complaint but when were there, the usual time it seemed to us.

Roaches, bad attitudes, hours to respond to call lights. Not the case for every staff member but the turnover rate is so high, the good ones never stay long. That is just part of the horror show it is there. Let me start by saying my loved one lived there for a long time and I was there often. I saw a lot of stuff that either horrified me or broke my heart, from the awful smell to the way some of the aides talk to the residents. I wish the upper management could hear it. Sometimes they dont care either though. I have mentioned things. There are a few good things like the activities staff are usually really nice. In the time my loved one was there there were they had gone through about three or four. For awhile they had a good nursing director who seemed like she cared. But shes gone too. Also, the maintenance men are helpful and kind. They are constantly training new people to pass meds and most of them dont know what the heck they are doing because they havent been trained long enough. This is a typical Medicaid facility run by a huge greedy corporation. The people they hire off the streets do not have a strong work ethic most of the time. They dont get paid enough to deal with bs and no matter what they tell you, they are short staffed OFTEN, therefore your loved one is not guaranteed the care they deserve. Think twice. They market you with all kinds of lies like we treat our residents like family and we answer call lights within two minutes HAHAHAHA GAG! Save your money and place your loved one in a private pay facility or get them really goot LTC insurance. I wish I did that.

If you care about your family member you would not bring them here. If there is a worse run facility in the state I would be shocked.
