This is without the worst pharmacy that I have ever used. Cant get anyone to answer the phone always on hold for not just hours but days. I have moved all my prescriptions to Publix.

Absolutely the WORST pharmacy I have been to! Negative 5 stars would be more appropriate. I can never get anyone on the phone and my prescriptions are never filled on time. Staff is beyond uneducated and caring. Went to pick up meds last night at 6:00 and they were closed. Hours listed are until 10:00. Switched to Walgreens. Honestly they should be shut down.

I have never written a review period for anywhere before but this pharmacy is just THAT bad. An employee told me that since they are so understaffed, they do not answer the phone. This was such a problem that after multiple days my doctors office couldn’t get in touch with them and I wasn’t able to get a very important prescription. Called my doc and had them send it to Walgreens and it was filled within three hours. Got a notification today that CVS had ended up filling said prescription today, a week late despite it being sent to another pharmacy.

Spent 30 min on hold multiple times (3 different calls) - no one ever answered. I live 30 min from town so I don’t want to drive all the way there just to ask a question about my prescription.

The people are nice but the wait times are less than stellar. Not my typical CVS experience, usually Im in and out. Only go here when you have no other errands left to run. As for CVS, they should really raise their wage. That way people are more encouraged to work there so theres no long lines.

Please hire enough staff to answer calls....waiting hrs. to speak to pharmacy is not cool. This location has always needed more staff & Its not like cvs doesnt make a fortune from customers. Hire staff CVS

The worse cvs I have ever been to employees are slow an if you try an call the pharmacy you will be on hold for 15 to 30 minutes before they even answer you, I guess I am used to the one in Lenoir they are fast an in my opion is the best one yet

I left this CVS a five star review simply for their pharmacy staff that I had the pleasure of meeting. I came in to get my COVID-19 vaccination as a nervous wreck due to anxiety. The Pharmacist and Pharmacy Technician were so supportive and helpful. The technician, Courtney, held my hand and distracted me while I received the shot. They both made me feel comfortable and like a human rather than just another patient. These two women belong in healthcare indefinitely because of their wonderful personalities and caring hearts. I’m now halfway vaccinated and much less afraid of needles now because of them!

Good luck getting anyone in the pharmacy to answer the phone and actually speak to you. Spent over 20 mins on hold waiting with no answer. Finally gave up.

I called this CVS three times to get a prescription filled I was on hold for 30 minutes each time and no one ever picked up the phone. It is the only CVS in Boone and they are very rude when you go in

Too bad there is not an option for a negative 5 review and even that would be kind. After being ignored at the drive through window for 25 minutes (only stayed this long because I had sent my credit card in to expedite picking up a prescription), I had to yell across a car to get the associate to return my card. Spoke with manager who did not apologize/non-existent customer service. Went next door to Boone Drug and was treated with utmost respect by a very friendly staff. Will NEVER step foot in CVS again.

I googled the cvs in Boone hours for Sunday & it says 10pm & said it was confirmed by the business a week ago but it is 7:59 & guess what? THEY ARE CLOSED!!! GRRRRRRR

My bf works here and made me write this review. My refills are always on time so 5 stars I guess.

After waiting in line for 30 minutes the employee turned off the register and went on break. Was told I would have to get back in line. Awesome customer service

If you are a patron of CVS, know that youre supporting a corporation that does not care about the safety of their patients or staff. They are criminally understaffed, and they have shady business practices to inconvenience the patient should you ever try to get your prescriptions transferred elsewhere. If you have Caremark and they require you to go here, Im sorry.

They are very understaffed in the pharmacy so the staff still working looks exhausted and stressed. I once requested a call back from the store manager and heard nothing. Working in retail as an ASM I know you are only understaffed these days if you don’t pay employees enough for the work expected or you abuse the employees time and willingness to help. Seems like this whole corporation needs to look inward. Meanwhile I’ll be sure to send everyone to Walgreens instead. Treat your employees better.

Nice products you may not find anywhere else or not in many other places and great customer service and wasnt a long wait for my medicine it was my first script pick up here and they made the new customer transition easy and fast and prices of store items were not too 6ad either

Red haired lady at the drive through needs to learn how to do her job! Son just had surgery and we have 3 hour drive home. Was told prescription would be ready in 30 minutes and we’ve been waiting 1.5 hours. Completely unacceptable. Terrible customer service. GO TO WALGREENS RIGHT ACROSS THE STREET.

This store was completely rude to me and my fiancé. I dont ever leave reviews but i haven’t experienced THIS BAD of customer service in a long time. Super transphobic and If you’re trying to pick up testosterone dont do it here. You’ll get a dirty look and have to wait in line for an hour and thirty.

This CVS has an understaffed pharmacy. The pharmacists are constantly stressed, so they take it out on the customers. Don’t attempt to call the pharmacy; they don’t answer the phone. If you like long waits and rude pharmacists this is the pharmacy for you!

Called on Friday to move Rx from another pharmacy. Called today (Sunday) and there’s no record of anything being done. NOTHING. Do NOT recommend!!

Ive been on hold for almost an hour trying to speak to ANYONE who works there. Doesnt even have to be the pharmacist. But its not the people who work theres fault...there clearly just need to be more hired. Way understaffed.

The pharmacy is understaffed. I dropped off a prescription 10 days ago and only one employee was working the pharmacy where prescriptions are filled. She was running the drive thru window and the in store drop off and the pick up areas. The prescriptionhasnt been filled yet. I told them that I would be by to pick the prescription up and take it to another pharmacy.

Every time I call to ask a question, no one answers the phone. Been on hold currently an hour and 20 minutes to ask a question that takes all of 1 minute to answer. Absolutely ridiculous. About to switch pharmacies.

Absolutely ridiculous. This honestly doesn’t even deserve one star. The pharmacy staff are so extremely rude and unhelpful. We waited in the drive thru line for 45 minutes before coming in to get two prescriptions that were ready yesterday, and they told us they aren’t ready. The person in front of us got yelled at for no reason. I recommend going to literally any other pharmacy, I would drive 30 minutes out of town if I had to. Seriously, a snail on drugs would be more competent of running this business.

Several employees are not wearing masks over their mouth and noses. When I ask one cashier about it, she wasnt happy. Theres a local website concerning Covid safe practices that mentions a number of other customers who have had the same problem in the Boone, NC store. As a result I try to never go inside the store. The drive-thru folks are so much better.

I would leave no stars if possible. If the so called person getting the prescriptions from drs over the voice mail would set her drink and food down long enough to actually listen to the messages u til waiting til the offices closed maybe she could correct any problems. This place a a total fiasco. I should have read previous reviews before going there. Thank goodness Walgreens is across the street

Simply waited forever, both on the phone and for them to actually order the prescription. I dont understand why anyone would go here when you can go to Boone Drug. On the other hand, the store is nice & clean and cashiers are pleasant.

I should have looked at reviews before getting my prescription filled here. The first time I had my prescription filled I had to wait an hour. This time I’m just picking up my prescription in the drive-thru and have already had to come back two times because the line was wrapped around the building. Will be switching pharmacies. AVOID

Great pharmacy!

The pharmacy workers are horrible. The robot clerks were so much more interested in computers, they didnt respond to a human and acted like I bothered them. I got more response from the front clerk coming in the store, then leaving. This pharmacy needs to work on better customer service skills and communication skills.

The staff here are very unprofessional. Several times I have had auto refill that wasnt completed..in addition..many times I have gone only to find they close 5 minutes before their stated closing time..and they are the slowest folks on Earth. Boone drug far outworks and is more professional than this lousy operation.

The pharmacy workers absolutely suck. I had four prescriptions called in, they told me three times they were ready and none of the times were they actually ready. I’ve now been waiting over 45 minutes for something that should have taken all of 10 minutes.FIND A DIFFERENT PHARMACY TO GO TO FOLKS.

This place can not seem to get anything right. My doctor sent in my prescription twice in two days. They filled it then canceled it claiming that my doctor canceled it which he did not.

Literally waited over 30 minutes to get my prescription when there was only 2 people in front of me. Then when I got to the window they were extremely rude. If you’re in a hurry, go anywhere else.

The staff were helpful and sympathetic to a problem I was having with my insurance. Very helpful. I think if you have a good attitude perhaps it will be a better experience.

I realize that you need a license to get a narcotic filled. I am not giving them a poor rating for this. I am giving them a poor rating on the fact I drove up handed the gentleman my doctors prescription asked when it would be ready. He responded with 430 I said thanks how much will it be he said he was not sure. I told him I could run a couple of errands and be back for the medicine. Any time during this conversation it would have been nice to hear by the way make sure you have your ID when you get back. But nothing about it. Unfortunately I do not always have my ID with me. So I do a couple of errands and come back with time to spare so I wait in the parking lot til 430. I pull up tell them all my info and the tell me the amount I pull out the money and I get asked for my ID I unfortunately did not have it and told the girl to just destroy the papers from my doctor that I was not coming back to get the pills. It sucks but I just had my tooth pulled and just wanted to be home sitting and relaxing while the numbing wore off.

Pharmacy is soooooo SLOW!! It doesnt matter what time of day you come in here, its a minimum of a 20 minute wait just to pickup an Rx. I hate having to go here. Will transfer meds to another store asap... Just loath how long it will take to make that happen even.

These guys are straight jerks. They sold a kid medications that a doctor filled that they knew would be cheaper OTC. Seriously...your pharmacists and pharm techs should know and advise of this. Straight garbage.

Go anywhere but here. They misfill, overfill, charge higher than elsewhere and are very rude and abrupt in pharmacy when questions asked. They clearly don’t care and it’s a dangerous field In which to be so cavalier. Run elsewhere.

I have the flu and needed my sister to go in there and now help me out because I’m in so much pain and unable to walk. And they have been rude and making her seem dumb the whole time. I don’t think that is fair nor okay to treat customers in your place of work especially if you are making me pay over 100 dollars for flu medicine 🤬 I’m thankful my sister could do this for me but for them to treat her so poorly is not okay. Just had to say it. I have appreciated this place and it’s much better than Walmart pharmacy but not okay to treat people like trash!

The girls who work at this “pharmacy” are pathetic!! It’s like they have ZERO KNOWLEDGE of what they are suppose to do as well as being haughty and completely disrespectful. My prescriptions are always wrong or messed up every single time. This is the SLOWEST pharmacy; unreliable and unprofessional! I’ve decided to choose a different pharmacy. Just went here and they told me the medicine I needed was in a box somewhere and that I should go somewhere else because it would take like forever to find it I agree then they tell me to get the other pharmacy to call them then they will send it over 😂😂 always had good expierences here until this visit with lazy employees. (I was the last in line too, so they could have tried) I went home instead. Thanks CVS😂

WORST PHARMACY STAFF AND SERVICE EVER. I HAVE PERSONALLY OVERHEARD THEM TALKING ABOUT CUSTOMERS USING THEIR FULL NAMES LATE AT NIGHT. THEY WERE LAUGHING ABOUT A FORMER CUSTOMER WHO HAD BROUGHT THE SAME MEDICATION IN TO BE FILLED AND THEY WERE UNABLE TO FILL IT THAT NIGHT, WHICH IS TOO OFTEN THE CASE HERE--THEY STATED THAT IF SUCH AND SUCH HAD BEEN REFUSED THAT SHE WOULD HAVE CAUSED A SCENE. I ACTUALLY KNOW THE PERSON THEY SPOKE OF, I DID NOT KNOW THEY WERE ON THE SAME MEDICATION AS I WAS, SO THE STAFF WAS ALSO SPEAKING ABOUT ME IN COMPARISON TO THIS OTHER PERSON. IS THAT NOT UNLAWFUL OR AT THE VERY LEAST UNETHICAL?

This place is absolutely terrible. You could buy a medication one week then get told the following week that they havent had the medicine you literally just bought last week, in months. Theyre all very rude people who work in the pharmacy. Very bitter, and grumpy people. Dont go to this place folks

Staff is not very friendly, I’ve had to wait well over an hour for some medications, and they are often out of stock on common drugs they should never be out of. When I felt I had to switch to Walmart...well, that’s saying something.

Was able to get my prescription from my home CVS to get my rescue inhaler filled before they closed.

Hands down the worst CVS pharmacy ever. They could careless about their customers. Worst customer service I’ve ever had to deal with! AVOID THIS PLACE AT ALL COSTS!!!!!! They simply don’t take the time to help when the customer needs it. I have had many different situations occur here and practically had to make a scene and argue with them in order for them to help me.

Very worst pharmacy in Boone. With so much competition so close to them, I dont understand how the pharmacy techs can be so rude, callous, and inept. I usually use Boone Drug but had pneumonia and really just wanted to get home. CVS was on the way, and I thought it might be quicker. WRONG! If you live in Boone or are visiting, use Boone Drug. If its after hours, use Walgreens. They have excellent customer service and are competent.

Very poor comstomer service- rushed, short and very rude.Im not sure if its a staffing issue or specific personnel that need some further training, but I have had multiple terrible experiences at this CVS in Boone. I am not one to write poor reviews but felt compelled to express concern to hopefully allow management or cooperate managers to realize a change needs to be made. A drug store just like a hospital or doctors office , is a place that all the employees turn on their poker face, act politely and provide comfort even if they are stressed or dealing with personal issues. I went to cvs with a dear friend who had a severe trauma in her life and was treated with extreme disrespect and was made to feel like she did something wrong. She also was bullied into waiting longer for her meds because of an error made by CVS employees- even when her meds were ready they ignored her and helped other customers. It just makes me sad. I am a nurse and there are times when im caring for a patient that is dying in one room and go to another room of a young person who is getting better..... am stressed and being pulled in a million different directions from other patients and doctors and so on? Yes. Do i bring that stress into the room of the dying or the room of the rejoicing? No. You turn it off. You be polite. You applogize even when you feel it isnt justified. You focus one one client/ patient at a time and you show respect. I really hope some change is implemented in this CVS in Boone. We are a strong mountain community and need people who are genuine and kind to the sick, broken and injured picking up their prescriptions.

Kudos to the staff at this store, we were traveling to Boone from out of town and the pharmacist took it upon himself to call CVS mail order in order to help coordinate an emergency refill for my moms metformin which she had left at home.

Drive through is fast and easy thanks to their friendly pharmacy technicians :)

Forgot to bring my blood pressure meds when I left home for vacation here. Went by this store and explained my situation. They filled my meds and I was out the door in about 10 mins.

Staff was ok. Store was filthy—carpet stained and littered, and this was 9:00 a.m. Sat and waited at the pharmacy. There was a roll of toilet paper on the floor. Made me worry a bit about getting a shot there.
