Husband and I usually go to Americas best in our area so we got lost, however communicating with the facility prior to arrival. The receptionist stated to still come although I was late for my appt we were on time for my husband s appt. We waited and wait and watched a few people be seated and called. My husband, who was not late asked when will he be seen, the receptionist stated well you were late for your appointment . He was not late, I was. We spend good money, but not at this place. I dont want to pull the race card, but everyone who came in after us was white and when calling to announce that we are lost should have been told then we could reschedule or wait. She just kept saying that it was OK as if they were not busy or something. When were leaving We, we were not asked if we wanted to reschedule. We will go somewhere else.

Great experience here! The ladies at the front desk were super helpful and made my experience fun— I was damn near laughing the entire visit. Picking out my glasses was easy, and if I had any questions, they answered all of them or found someone for me who could. Will be going back next year for sure.

Both eye doctors were just so nice and helpful. I am giving 3 stars because the lady that did the last step (sales person) was extremely rude with me and my husband. She added protection plan without asking and when we said we didn’t want to, she responded that “those are the ones who always come back” (because they broke their glasses)Too bad that she ruined an experience that was so nice before the last step.

My overall experience was great. My exam went well, and the girl that helped me pick out my frames was super helpful and so nice. I ordered 2 pairs. One of the pairs were done first so I went to get those and I got those fitted perfectly. When I went to pick up my other pair they were not fitting correctly they were too loose and falling off my face. The lady adjusted them 3 or 4 times. I felt bad, and felt like I was inconveniencing her. I kept apologizing for her having to continue fixing them. She told me that she would adjust them as much she could but that if they were still loose that I probably picked out frames that were too big for me. Well at that point I was embarrassed. So even though they were better than when I first tried them on. They did not fit how I would like them too, but I left. I’m also confused because when I tried them on to pick them out they fit fine. And how am I supposed to know when they are going to be too big for my face is there someone who can let me know that before I purchase them. I’ve been wear glasses for 20 years and never had this issue. So now I don’t even want to go back to get this fixed because I’m like embarrassed, and anxious. And like I thought, they are constantly falling down my nose and that is the most annoying to happen when wearing glasses. So I’m irritated and don’t know what to do.

I had a really great experience here! I was a little early and they got me in right away. I was fitted for contacts, which I haven’t worn in almost 15 years so I was a bit nervous. The doc was patient, made sure I was comfortable with the contacts I had in and answered all my questions. The staff up front were super helpful when I picked out frames and gave helpful feedback when trying stuff on. The check out was quick and painless 😊 my glasses came earlier than expected! They fit great, the contacts are amazing and my over all experience was phenomenal. 10/10 I would recommend this location. I truly had a great experience!!I’ve had glasses my whole life and been to many different places.... I’ll certainly be visiting this one again!!!

I was impressed with the doctor who examined my eyes. Nice selection of inexpensive frames ($59). Knowledgeable employees. Covid19 safety procedures were followed. The only downside is a two week wait to pick up my new glasses. I like my glasses; so all in all, I recommend Americas Best.

More like America’s worst. I do not recommend going here. My significant other bought two pairs of glasses here and had to order them three times because the first two times they messed up the prescription and the shape of the glasses he wanted. Then when we finally did get our glasses eight weeks later they didn’t close all the way. They told us “your prescription is too big for them to close” okay but they work just fine on his sunglasses. We said whatever and let it go. When we made our purchase we also got the ONE YEAR WARRANTY!!!!!!! He had them for 6 months and that entire time the lenses kept falling out and they broke. We finally were able to take them in and when we did they wouldn’t fix them! We showed them the fine print saying ONE YEAR WARRANTY GUARANTEED. And they told us “that doesn’t apply to you” they refused to fix them even after we showed them receipt. When we asked the the ADD number they refused to give that too! This is the worst glasses place I have ever been too. Long wait times, rude staff, and untrustworthy company. I would give them 0 stars if I could.

I have an appointment for an eye exam today and I checked in 2 minutes late and I feel bad because they didnt want to check me in because I was 2 minutes late, I know its my fault but it was only 2 minutes. Sometimes I make an appointment and they dont check me 15 minutes after, my schedule and and I never say nothing 😭😭.

Immediately greeted rudely by an employee as soon as we walked in the door. I called days before asking if I could revise my appointment from over the phone because an eye appointment wasn’t needed, I was told to leave the appointment as is to give a “breather” for the employees. Coming, was no a great experience at all. Love America’s Best but this destination was most definitely not at its best. Especially that rude woman.

Not very pleased with having to come back to order my glasses after the initial exam and order request. There was a lot of uncertantity and confusion. But with the present covid situation in consideration, they got the order correct.

Friendly customer service people, but my glasses were sent to 30 year old address somehow, then my glasses were re ordered and one of the frames were discontinued , cancelled from the lab ,no communication from lab to the store about discontinuation waited additional 3 weeks until management figured out the problem ,now waiting for my second pair of glasses, my first original visit was dec 23 2020 unorganized at the blaine location, not very happy about my experience .

I recently purchased two pairs of eyeglasses from Americas Best and would highly recommend that you do the same. Gail and the rest of the staff although they were very busy helped me within minutes of walking into the store. They were very helpful and courteous unlike the previous vision store I had just left for the exact opposite reasons.

I canceled my appt when they informed me I was not allowed to accompany my 6yr old daughter. They actually expect me to drop her off and leave! Are they crazy? No way am I dropping my child off and leaving them! I am surprised people agree to this!

I cant express how helpful and amazing everyone who helped us was! We drive from Wisconsin to go to this specific location. They explain options clearly, dont push to upsell, and are genuinely great with my kids from elementary to teen ages!

I NEVER have a good experience when I go to this place. When I call ahead with a question, the answer that I receive is always different vs when I go in. This has happened 3 or 4 times now. The assistant manager who sits at the front desk is always the person giving me different information saying the person over the phone isnt responsible for giving me accurate or full information. How does that even make sense!? It is not my job to know the policies or rules of Americas Best. When I call to inquire on something I should be given correct and full information at that time! Not after I wasted time driving there! I will be switching to a different eye doctor after my visit today. Not to mention the place is dirty.. I dont think they ever clean the bathroom.

My wife had a very easy time getting her exam done for contacts, and it was very affordable too. I went in shortly after to get my exam for just glasses, also very fast and easy. Their online scheduling is very easy and convenient, and they are good at getting you a great deal on whatever you need. My new glasses didn’t feel right at first, so I went back and the lady took a lot of effort to figure out the issue. The new frames were a little crooked compared to my old ones, and she was very diligent to make sure the problem was fixed before I left. I was honestly very impressed how much she did to fix the problem, and I was only in there for maybe 20 minutes tops, and I was helped the minute I walked in. I will definitely be bringing all my future eye care business to them.

I almost re-scheduled at another location because of the reviews on here but Im glad I didnt. You really have to remember people tend to come and leave a review after a bad experience rather than a good one. Everyone was friendly and I knew I controlled the price I was going to pay so there was no unexpected charges that some reviews have mentioned. Those likely came from getting higher quality lenses you agreed to. Friendly welcome, painless eye exam, and patient employees to help you find the right glasses.

I found the staff to be very friendly, helpful and patient. All of the charges were broken down and explained to me clearly, I knew exactly what I was paying for. The price I paid for 2 pair of frames with progressive lenses was less than what I paid for one pair elsewhere, so I was very satisfied with the prices. They also have a great selection of frames to choose from.

I would like to thank Theresa the general manager at AB for being understanding she called me about my problem and solved it ..In less than hour she found a pair of glasses for me to day free of charge took the time searched high and low to find a frame that could fit the lens from my broken ones Ive found a new friend today thanks I love the frame even though they werent purple there beautiful all the sameThanks Theresa Mrs FelderI called to have my prescription mailed to me and after a week of waiting I called I said I need that like yesterday can you email it to me I was told we dont have the technology to do that in 2017 really so I wait another week no script my glass broke went to them was told I would have to buy another one because they no longer carry the frame a 6 month old pair of glasses with a manufacturer defect .Then and only then did I get the script because I was there ...Then the killer I took the script somewhere else for glasses and had not realized the young lady wrote expired across the script sheet so Im still walking around without glass but thank God for vision works...I would never go to American best again ..Thanks Kerry for nothing..The club they talk you into investing your money not worth the paper its written on discounts how about coverage to damage or manufacturer issues

If you can afford to avoid this place, do so. While Americas Best is cheaper than the rest, you get what you pay for. What you pay for is an eye exam that will take between 2 to 3 hours of your free time, an optometrist that rushes you through when he finally does see you(He wears athletic sneakers with his professional attire), and you will walk out of the location without contact lenses only to be told it will take 2 weeks before they have any lenses for you (I can get lenses shipped to my home faster than a professional optometrist can get them shipped to his business). Seriously. I would recommend Target or Walmart optical services before this place. Ive been a contact lense wearer for nearly 30 years now. This was my first and last time using Americas best. I will pay more in the future for better service.

I called to set up appt they took my name to call me back never did, I called the next day to set up appt and I showed up an hour before my exam, not one person could look up my insurance, because they were short staffed, the manager refused to help, so I stood there for 50 min with no assistance from anyone. For someone who didnt even buy glasses it took me 2.5 hours for an exam. Do not go to this location, not helpful or knowledgeable.

Slow to react. I called and wanted them to order my glasses but some guy Andrew needed to collect my info and call me back. He never called me back. I called them back and they still were not ready to order. Said they would call me back again. I said dont bother, Ill be at work. I said Ill get them somewhere else. Ive been going there for 15 years but not anymore. I called to make an appointment, was on hold for 14 minutes. Made the appointment for 11:00. Drove 1.5 hours to get there and they had me down for 4:30. They were severly over booked and the entire staff (excluding the actual eye doctor) seemed as if it was their first day on the job. The place was absolute chaos. After sitting for an hour, I finally got in to see the doc. Than had to sit for another hour before having my prescription ordered. I paid extra to have them sent to my house, as I live 1.5 hours away. After 9 or 10 days I got an automated message saying that my glasses were in. I waited 4 days for them to arrive in the mail and started to wonder. I finally called them and they have been sitting there for 4 days. And it will be another 4 days before I receive them. It used to be a good place but Im afraid that is no longer the case.

It can get pricey once you get in the door. $500+ in my case, for contacts and the 2 frames for $69.99. They dont really guide you through the process of finding a frame that fits your face, or in my case, isnt too thick, until they are all wrong for you, and you dont want them, which is why I returned mine. My contacts were a great fit, and they were even their brand. If you were told they would call you when your order is ready to pick up. dont hold your breath, they didnt call me both times I had orders to pick up, I had to call them. Americas best is So-So. Thats really all I can say.

I was forced to give one star, because no stars is not an option.I stopped in today (2/8/2018 around 12:00) looking to purchase new glasses. There were two other customers in the store being helped. I was in the store for little over 15 minutes looking and trying on various frames. The problem I have is, I was never greeted by any of the employees or have one of them say someone will be with you shortly. The employees probably didnt even notice that I left. Very poor customer service.

How can you lose my glasses??? I spent the better part of the day on Saturday trying to get an answer...no one could help me so you had to order me a new pair.. Was told a manager would call me Monday.. Guess what no call.. Called again today and still no answer! I will never recommend this place to anyone!! I dont recommend this place at all. Not only are they UNPROFESSIONAL. But they tried charging me and my mom for the eye exam when it said FREE EYE EXAM! The location we were at was the one in Blaine by North Town the one that we usually go to but its been almost 2 weeks since we ordered our glasses and STILL ! have not received a phone call or any information on our glasses that we ordered I called Tuesday they told me to call back Thursday or Friday I called back twice Thursday and each of those times they said theyd call me back she needed to talk to the manager about our orders and shed call back right away as soon as it was figured out SHE DID NO SUCH THING ! so no I dont recommend going to this business to whatever they run there cause its all bs and all theyre interested in is MONEY and WHATEVER THEY CAN GET OUT OF YOU ! Friendly service and the lady that helped us was very patient though thats why I give it a 1 star but other than that its👎 which is really odd Id do that cause Ive been going to AB for years getting glasses no problems or complaints until now never have I felt like Ive had to chase around for something Ive paid well over $200 for on a pair of prescription eye glasses and a pair of prescription sun glasses .. I dont know where you guys went by my experience was quite pleasant. Waiting us done at every Dr visit. I guess I got lucky with the gals n guys I worked with. I have been going to Americas best for 15 yrs now. I thought they were cheaper than going to a place that accepted my ins. My brother went to Pearl vision n pd 800 on that day out of pocket w insurance. I have never pd over 250. I get contacts. They call me every other year to remind me My membership is almost over and to get the free eye exam. I went to roseville location n Blaine location. Both places have been great.

Poor customer service everytime, place turns into a shitshow when theres more than three customers in the store, even though theres st least 6 people working in here. Service is probably so slow because theres 2 or 3 employees trying to figure out problems that keep arising with every customer. Eye exam wasnt great either, new prescription seems worse than old one.

I was a costumer of Americans best first they put things on my bill I didnt want and didnt ask me about!!! Then they charged me for them when I addressed it,, it took a week to put the money back on my card then they Reyes to chargeMe again before the money was back on my card !! Then when I when the back to serve my warranty they told me it would be a week it is now 9 days n still no glasses then they call me at 250 n say they are in but I need to drive across town to pick them up in rush hour traffic because they close at 7 pm!! So needless to say I have to wait till tomorrow for my glasses that makes 10 days!! To get replacement glasses!!! This is crazy I will never get glasses there again!!! This is enough!!! Im done with them....

At this specific location i honestly dont think they know what theyre doing. Even getting an appointment setup was a handful to say the least. My girlfriend got her appointment set up and we waited for over an hour and noticed other people going ahead of us. Only to be told after over an hour that the lady didnt setup the appointment right. Then some blonde lady tells my girlfriend, oh, you dont need to make an appointment, you have 2 months left till you have to make one. Dont worry about it.Is this place serious? Everyone is also running around not even knowing what they are doing, the same blonde that rudely shrugged off my girlfriends appointment, earlier on she looked as if she screwed up somehow, another lady pointed out after our mishap was she blonde?. The problem wasnt one person, it was the entire staff running around completely unorganized.I honestly never saw anything like this before, it seemed like I was on a comedy tv show.

Every eye place has this trick where you go in to spend 150 dollars (as advertised) and you leave spending 400 dollars but dont quite understand why or how it happened... Ive been through it before, and its no different here.What is different here however, was their willingness to work with me and take time to explain all my options. Running the numbers ten different ways to figure out my price points and showing patience through the process. Im always hesitant to spend money and Im careful with every purchase I make, which sometimes leads to people trying to hurry me through the process and when Im hurried I leave unhappy with my decisions. Not here though, theyll walk you through the process and make sure you leave happy.Ive been to every eyeglasses spot in the mall, around the mall and plenty of others in the area... this is probably the first one Ive ever returned to.I appreciate it very much.

Though the people here were friendly, the bait and switch tactics left me not wanting to come back. Also, I called in the morning to check on the status of my glasses, and they said my glasses would be in by 2:00 that day. So I drove about 30 miles there to find out only one pair had arrived. The other pair wasnt arriving until 2 days later. Yes, gas prices have gone down a bit, but the reason I went there in the first place was because I cant afford to spend money on expensive glasses, much less spend it on extra gas to have to drive another 60 mile round trip again. And you would think they would call when your glasses do arrive. Nope. If my glasses did arrive on Friday, like they promised, I have yet to receive a call. I guess next time Ill just have to save up for glasses from a different place that actually takes care of their customers.

First thing the woman at the desk said to me was, “Welcome to our crazy family!” I won’t recount every little thing that went wrong during my visit, but she was right. They kept telling me conflicting information and then one girl kept laughing at me for apparently doing the wrong thing. Also, be aware that they tell everyone looking to get color contacts that it’s something like $70, but in the end you will pay over $200 for everything. They said they’d get trials of the color I really wanted back in stock, but when I went back they were out again so I just settled for a color I don’t really like. I was supposed to go in for a follow-up to check my prescription (which is wrong and gives me terribly blurry vision,) but I honestly didn’t even want to go back to get it fixed. They’ll probably just find a way to charge me even more.

The girl at the counter was QUITE rude, I sat 15 minutes past my appointment time while people off the street came in and were helped before me. She told me to fill out this page, didnt really explain what I was filling out and then didnt bother to tell me my insurance wasnt accepted until after I asked her. As I sat there, I overheard the saleswoman tell a customer that they dont check for flaws in the lenses or frames, they just wait for the customer to return them. On top of that, they were going to make the lady with these glasses use her warrenty on a very obvious manufacturing flaw in her lenses! I watched a couple walk out of the office because their quote went from $70 to over $400 without any precursor of the additional bells and whistles(different lenses, anti-reflective coating, ect.). The eye exam was less than through. They didnt even tell me the results of my $15 additional test until I asked and never breathes a word about my vision test. I didnt get any documentation of my vision test/prescription, just a bill for my 2 pair at $220! Given, $220 is great for 2 pairs of glasses, but give me a break, the wait alone should have told me to find a better place to take care of the only pair of eyes I have. Not very impressed, will probably not return. Have not recieved my glasses yet, holding my breath that I will get them in one piece!!

Rude staff... Loooooooooooooong waits. The second you balk at their attempt to upsell you on extra features and premium updates they walk away. Are they paid on commission?When I asked for a copy of the eye exam results / records they said they couldnt release them to me because they were for the store only. So I asked if they could photocopy them, they said no, they said they would write down my prescription information which ended up being incomplete and I had to gather my PD information on my own.The store staff refused to provide copies of the glaucoma test (I paid for) or any other information theyd collected beyond the basic six values of OS and OD information. I had also wanted the PD (pupil distance) information for future frame orders.Overall the staff was rude and uncoordinated. They told me to wait while they got my forms in order, then 5 minutes later somebody asked if Id been helped and I said yes, I was waiting for [pointed out the staff member.] The staff member said, oh, you should go wait in the other room.After the exam, I stood around waiting to discuss the lens and frame options for over 20 minutes before anyone came to talk to me... they gave me the pitch for $69 deal for 2 pairs of glasses and then told me they were really cheap and no good and that if I wanted any of the half-rim glasses it would be $269.The sloppy upsell job left a bad taste in my mouth and so I paid the $61 for the exam (again, which they refused to provide me with a copy of my records.)To be clear, the poor customer service quality by staff and bait and switch tactics are the reason I decided to pay for my exam outright and go somewhere else.
