The Dog Stop is an excellent Daycare/ full service exstablishment for your fur baby. The dog trainer Peyton is especially wonderful. She is very knowledgeable and will treat your pet like her own. I will recommend her to anyone that needs any type of dog training.I am truly grateful for Peyton and all the people at he Dog Stop.

Our babies LOVE the Dog Stop! We brought home two black lab puppies, Maggie and Marley, and took them to training with Peyton.Peyton worked with them during the day while we were at work, and then she would send us videos showing us what they were working on and how we continue the training at home. We would talk on the phone after each training lesson and Peyton would give us tips, hints, and ways to continue the training at home until their next session. She would listen to our feedback about how the girls are doing at home and suggest things we should try or do differently. Our puppies have made so much growth and it is all because of the time Peyton took to work with us and our girls!We found training at the Dog Stop a great experience and value because every day they were there training, a full day of day care was included.Even though our training with Peyton has concluded (and Maggie and Marley miss her so much), they still attend day care about once a week and absolutely love it! They come home worn out and exhausted every time!

We love The Dog Stop in Trussville. We started out with our pup in doggy daycare. We found out that they did training and were very excited. We met their trainer Peyton Jackson and felt very comfortable with her. She did such a great job training our pup Zeus. Peyton was very friendly and outgoing. She answered any questions we had. She also was kind enough to send us some pictures and video of our pups progress. I would strongly recommend Peyton at The Dog Stop for training.

The staff is very friendly, professional and welcoming. I have two puppies and brought them to the Dog Stop for their first haircut. The groomers are extremely professional and had a phone consult with me first. They exceeded my expectations and both puppies came home very calm and happy. I HIGHLY recommend The Dog Stop in Trussville.

My daughter works there. They board and groom dogs. They have a day care and they bathe and dehair dogs. I highly recommend this place but they stay booked up quite often. 🙂 They take very good care of your Fur Baby.

Called a few times to get info in boarding my dog while we went on family vacation and I didnt get call backs after I left 3 messages. Although I have heard good things. But I didnt have much luck.

Our dogs stayed here for about a week and when we picked them up they said they did not have time to give them a bath but bring them back and they gladly do that. Ive called two different occasions and have been turned down both times. Just need a good company to service their clients.

I love the Dog Stop, the people here seem to really love the dogs they care for. From day one my Negan became part of the family. Negan is learning German commands and the the Dog Stop even helps me out by also using the German commands that Negan knows. If you love your furbaby pamper him at the Dog Stop.

I would have gladly given 5 stars but it is continuously advertised as offering live web cam...it hasnt worked in 2 yrs. Otherwise, we love Dog Stop and Scout is always a happy pup.

Ive never been, spent an hour setting up online account. Tried to schedule a grooming, couldnt figure out how to do it online. Called, line was busy for awhile, when it did ring, nobody ever picked up. Friends us the dog stop, so I was going to give them a try. Guess Ill be looking for a different groomer.

They love our dog, even the handful she is. They are helpful, kind, and let the dogs be dogs. It’s more then just placing a dog in a kennel all day. Our dog learns social skills and ways to interact while being cared for. She comes home exhausted because of the fun she had. They are a wonderful staff and we have loved every experience.

By far the best place for pups around. Between the ages of 7-11 months, my tiny bernedoodle Quincy (Q) has gone to both daycare and boarding. The rates are outstanding and the staff takes such great care of him every time he goes. My dog is a city dog for sure because we live in Chicago and only come to Trussville to visit, but they make sure he’s with a good play group and in good spirits no matter what. It gives this first time dog owner so much peace of mind knowing he’s always in good hands.

I had my dog groomed and was pleased was results. The employees were very pleasant and I intend on trying daycare and boarding.

A friendly staff member promptly came out and greeted my dog and I at my vehicle. She then introduced us to Tiffany who would be the groomer taking care of my dog. Tiffany was friendly and gave a very detailed explanation of service that she would perform and what all we could expect. Upon completion of the grooming session we were very pleased with the service performed. This is will be our groomer of choice for the foreseeable future.

Very over priced. Was quoted $243 to have one dog vaccinated to be boarded for the weekend. I was boarding two.I got in touch with All Creatures Pet Hospital in Gardendale. $143 to have them vaccinated for their stay. Also very friendly staff in Gardendale.

This was the first time that I left my dog behind when going on vacation. I did a ton of research and finally settled on The Dog Stop because of previous reviews, price, amenities, website. It was the best price $30ish a night (can’t remember exactly) and you don’t have to pay for extra things like giving treats, not bagging food, playtime. He came home very happy after 10 days and smelling so good (he got a free return home bath). The only thing I’d want is for the petcam to be active or some more pics on Facebook ☺️

Tried to board my puppies there but they were booked. My sister always boards her pup here. Ended up needing to buy some dog food while in town and decided to stop by and see if they had my brand. The GM helped me and was GREAT. Tried a new brand (Zignature) and am so glad I stopped by! Will definitely go back. Will likely continue feeding this new brand. My dog loves it.

I was fostering a dirty beagle puppy. They were so patient with him. Dropped him off scared, picked him up after he had a ball all day. And he smells great!

My dog is a little nervous around new people. It’s taken him about 6-7 trips to get used to the Dog Stop. He loves going here and is always happy when we pick him up. I wish their cameras worked so we could see him play. We tried another daycare closer to Bham and he didn’t have a great experience so we’re very happy we found the Dog Stop.

My fur baby Zoe loves going to day care. She gets to play with other dogs and humans too. This trip we boarded her. Love that instead of being in a small confined space the whole time shes there like at the vet. She is out running playing and having a great time. The prices are really great too!!! So if your just wanting a day for you fur baby to run and play or need some place to board that will love your baby like you do try this place.

My dog Hannes enjoyed his visit to The Dog Stop! The staff was very helpful and even had great retail items. Hannes was nice and tired after a day of play and his grooming. Would recommend!

Our first time to have a dog that requires some occasionally grooming. Miss Mags went to The Dog Stops pretty parlor yesterday and they did a fantastic job! The owner, Gail, is a neighbor and friend and her love for four legged fur babies is amazing. The Dog Stop is not only a business for her, but a passion. I highly recommend them. Joanna and the rest of the staff made our first experience so easy and the results were great! Thank you!

I was able to bring my goldendoodle in the same day after a bad experience with a groomer. Jackson was very nice and did a wonderful job! I highly recommend the Dog Stop especially after yesterday. Thank you again Jackson for taking such good care of my girl.

First time ever boarding my doodle who just turned 1 years old. We were going out of town we have never been here before but I prescheduled everything on the website. Called a few days before to ask a few questions make sure I had everything lined up the young lady I spoke with was busy as dogs were coming in but made sure to help and answer all my questions in a friendly manner. But when the day came to drop my dog off that morning the lady who came out to get my dog was not friendly at all and actually acted annoyed by us because my dog was very nervous as I said he has never been there before so he was peeing a lot and not wanting to come inside so I tried my best to help due to COVID restrictions i did not want to over step and she said “Cars are just piling up” as I was standing inside trying to comfort my scared dog. I was hoping for a better experience from all the reviews I’ve seen and even follow them on Facebook. But no one talked to me at all about the schedule or anything Archie would be having I was even second guessing leaving him there because I was anxious myself. We finally did get him in the back and I left feeling uneasy.... she did say call anytime to check on him. So I did call to check on him and once again they just said he’s fine. Did not explain to me about his schedule or if he got to play or go outside or if he ate or anything. I downloaded the dog stop app because it said it had features like video chat but it always said unavailable and when checking him in nobody let me know how anything works at this boarding facilty. It’s suppose to be an upscale place for the price with a lot of play time I thought it would feel like a vacation that’s why I took him there instead of boarding with our vet. But my dog was more then ready for to come home when we got back. Next time I will be boarding him with our vet. Need to work on customer service. Especially new customers maybe explaining things to them and be more welcoming and understanding for first timers.

Great place for boarding and doggy daycare. Theyve even gone out of their way here to try and help my dog to be more social. In just a couple of months hes made tremendous strides! Their love and care for the dogs here is truly genuine!

While The Dog Stop is a nice facility and I’m sure they take great care of the dogs, my dog has gotten kennel cough after each stay there. We first boarded for a week while on vacation and then a two night stay later and both times he has come home sick! I think they should require proof of kennel cough vaccination and quarantine any dogs showing signs of it.

Took our dog there for the 1st time today. Worst grooming job we have ever had. Ear hair has a big gash cut out and we get in the car and I notice blood on my daughters shirt. We start looking her over and she had a big cut on her pad that was actively bleeding. We took her back in and they put Neosporin on it and sent us on our way. Also notice a little cut near her private parts. Never again!!

Have used other places for day care, but could not be happier than we are at The Dog Stop in Trussville. The place is spotless, and the dogs are all happy and can stay out and play all they want all day long, or the staff will take them somewhere calmer to take a nap if they need it. They know every dog by name, and treat them all like family.

Absolutely fantastic! I can only say good things about the Dog Stop in Trussville. I have a very shy black lab and somehow they were able to get him to break out of his shell. The photo updates on Facebook helped so much with my worries. My two dogs boarded for 3 days, one received a haircut and the other received a bath. When we first arrived, they allowed us to walk around and check out the place before we left. I was surprised to see how clean it was! Their groome, Tiffanie, did an amazing job! She was kind and answered all the questions we had.Within the short time we were there, we could see how much the employees actually care about the animals!I have had so many bad experiences with other places, but this one exceeded my expectations!! Thank you!

I dont even know where to start with this. I took my 3 dogs there for their first grooming visit. I had heard only good things and I am very particular about where I take my babies to be groomed. We were moving to trussville and I wanted a groomer near our home. I received a call around 2 saying that our dogs were ready to be picked up. I left my job to pick them up, only to find out when I got there that only 2 were ready and that it would be another hour and a half to pick up our third dog. They bring out the first dog. She looked nothing like what I wanted her to look like. There are places on her ears that are literally inches longer than other pieces. Then they brought out my second dog. Only that, it wasnt my dog. It was another Shih Tzu with my dogs collar. They finally bring out the correct dog and I told them my husband would be by at five (two and a half hours later) to pick up our poodle. Side note- it annoys me to no end that they brought out the wrong dog. What if someone were to take the wrong dog home! My husband arrived at 5 to pick up our poodle and he still was not ready. My husband left there with our last dog at 7:30. So five and a half hours after they called me to say he was ready. Our poodle did have some mattes on his ears, and they did ask for my husbands permission to do a shave down on him. When he arrived home, our dog was bleeding severely in SEVERAL places. On both ears and around his neck where he had gotten a Knick on his neck. Obviously, I began to freak out and I immediately called the groomer. She answered and said that he was not bleeding when she left and that she was baffled about the Knick on his neck. Out of all the groomers that weve had, and the one shave down he has had to have previously, none of my dogs have EVER come home with their blood all around them. They did offer us a free week of boarding but we declined and they did end up giving us a full refund.

Love the owner and works they all make you fill right at home and they pamper your babies almost as good as you do

The groomer at Dogstop is experienced and kind. She seems to genuinely care about her clients. 🐩 Joanna is a former groomer who knows all there is to know as management.

Maybe I am the only one w a bad experience but my dog got kennel cough. And severe. It was horrible. Communication was lacking and I didnt expect much. I was looking to make day care a regular thing and this changed my mind. Plus she had bite Marks all over her neck and shoulders. I get it they are dogs but I expected more care.

The staff here really love dogs and it shows.

On a period of about 6 weeks, 1st issue bring on mothers day, my dog was in dog daycare with only 1 other dog. About 10 mins after I left to go to MedHelp, they called snd said another dog jumped My dog, tore his ear. THATS NOT THE WORST, ABOUT 3 WEEKS LATER THEY GAVE ME THE WRONG DOG TO TAKE HOME, I THINK ITS NAME WAS MAGGIE. Thats like being given the wrong child at a day care ctr. Then another few weeks later my dog contracted Kennel cough. He was quite ill . I had 3 specialist appts. that I had to cancel as well. This is pure negligence on this owner and her business. We are done..This is a bad and unsafe environment for any pet.
