I brought my son to Highland to receive a root canal. They took excellent care of him! He had an accident when he was a freshman in high school causing him to lose a tooth. Now that hes almost 19 and a college freshman were ready to receive an implant. We had a consultation with another denistry who nonchalantly told us the gap wasnt wide enough for an implant. Not only did Highland say that it was possible, but they thoroughly explained how the procedure would possibly go. They treated us like they actually cared which is a night and day difference compared to other places. Its sad that in society the color of your skin often dictates the way youre treated and or the level of service you receive. At Highland they dont see color, they see people!!! For that if I could give them 10 stars I would. I highly recommend Highland, no pun intended 🙂

The doctor is very serious about making sure he does everything right the first time. You also feel that you’re in good hands with his knowledge and experience that he’s had over the last 20+ years. Even his hygienist and dental assistance and the folks at the front desk are very nice and competent.I had an overall very good client experience with them.

Best place in Birmingham area that Ive been too. First place I went to for dental care was WAY over the top very expensive and I was told I needed to removed a wisdom tooth and thousands of dollars to prepare it with a implant! A wisdom tooth! Highland was very professional in every way. Love the staff love the doctor and I felt like belonged there unlike the fru fru place that apparently just wanted lots of money I dont have. Thank God I found Highland its officially my dentistry! Thank you guys for such a great experience now my husband will start going.

Yet another fantastic experience at Highland Dentistry! Lydia, at the front desk, always knows my name when I come in the door, and welcomes me with a warm greeting. Kayla, my hygienist, is an excellent conversationalist (without expecting responses while I had my mouth open) and did a great job with my cleaning. I highly recommend for all dental maintenance!

I managed to get in at the last minute for a root canal. They were referred to me by my regular dentist who does not do root canal‘s. They could not have been nicer from the front desk to the assistant to the dentist himself everyone was just super nice.Since root canals are not very fun to begin with I think this was probably the best it could have been. Dr. Swicord was very good to explain everything he was doing as we went along and postop instructions were were very thorough. All in all it was a very pleasant experience.

I am new to the area and went in for a routine cleaning. Lindsey did an awesome job and was so sweet...with great recommendations for any questions me and my husband had. We will definitely be back. I would recommend to anyone!

I was in just yesterday and all the staff was very pleasant. However, I would like to personally thank Ashley for being the BEST dental assistant that I’ve ever had. She was very nice and made sure I was comfortable my entire visit. Even with a mask on the entire time I could tell she had a smile on her face and enjoyed her job. I had previously gone a long while without seeing a dentist and then started seeing Highland Dentistry about 2 years ago. They removed 2 of my wisdom teeth over the course of 6 months and worked hard to deep clean my teeth when I first arrived. Since then I have had no problems thanks to them. Lindsay their dental hygienist is awesome

Today was my first appointment with Highland Dentistry, and I am have to say, this was the first dental appointment I ever had that was actually enjoyable. I have serious anxiety when it comes to my teeth and I felt so comfortable. Everyone was very professional and friendly. They answered all of my questions and took the time to explain my issues. They also explained my insurance in great detail. I am so thankful I found them and will never go to another dental office. I would give them 10 stars if I could.

I was referred by Ms. Lydia to come and give highland dentistry a try and I have to say I’m glad I did. Jessica did an amazing job on my cleaning and everyone that encountered was a pleasure to deal with. Dr. Blass was very nice and easy to work with. I think it’s safe to say, I found my dental home.

I used to be a dental assistant.I dont like being the patient and know that dentists are like car salesman. I was pleasantly surprised at Highland dental .They are so wonderful. If you want to be overcharged and deal with an unfriendly, “their way or no way”, selfish, disrespectful, fake, greedy cowards, refuses to listen or care about your opinion, and treated unfairly by these dentists, then Highland Dentistry is the place for you! Added bonus: Prepare yourself for the complete regret you’ll eventually feel when your see their true colors come out. Don’t let them fool you. I wish someone would have warned me before I wasted so much of my time and money here. Dr. Swicord and his partner Dr. Blass should be ashamed!! Good riddance!

Writing this review while in pain and sitting in dentist chair. I drove an hour and 45 minutes because they accepted my plan and had the best reviews. I can now attest that its all true! So very kind and gracious. Working with my insurance to come up with best and most affordable treatment plan. Judgment free. Quickly alieved my anxiety--which goes a long way for a hypochondriac with panic disorder whos been years without dental care. Ill update later, but, so far, I love everyone Ive interacted with!Update: Awesome(who says that about an emergency dentist visit?!) DR. BANKS IS THE BEST! Mercedes is the sweetest assistant with a gentle and pleasant tone and bubbly personality❤ Found my dentist😄

Today was my first trip to this place and dentist was so sweet and didnt push anything on me that I didnt need. He was very nice and gave good feedback on how to fix my jaw issues. I read the reviews beforehand and they were pretty accurate. Nice dental hygienists and great receptionist too.

We drove all the way from Tuscaloosa for second opinion with niece. I have trusted Dr. Swicord for 10 years on myself. Once again he earn my trust with her. They took excellent care of my niece!!! She has dental anxiety and panics. Not only are they very professional but genuinely kind people. My niece said they explained every step prior and made her feel so comfortable. I will drive any distance for excellences!!!
