I’ve been going to Double Oak Mountain Family Dental for several years and I always have a positive experience. Dr. Brewer fashioned a replacement bridge for my top front six teeth and I call it Brewer’s Masterpiece. He and all the staff there are sweet, accommodating, and highly professional yet supremely friendly and personable. They’re technologically advanced and maintain a very clean and sanitized protocol. I moved quite a few miles away but I still go back because they’ve always taken great care of me!

I could not have asked for them to be more accommodating and worked me in even though they were totally booked. This was my second appointment with Dr. James Samford and Dental Hygienist, Brittney. Upon arrival, i was welcomed with a warm greeting from the front office staff. I then moved to another room where Dr. Samford put in a permanent filling to complete my root canal done at the Endodontic. Dr. Samford is very warm and calming. I reviewed excellent online feedback about this dentist prior to making an appointment and I was not disappointed. Everyone was very friendly and I felt valued as a patient. I was a new patient and I needed to have an evaluation by the dentist, a cleaning and a filling. They exceeded my expectations because they had scheduled extra time prior to my first appointment to ensure that I could have all of this done at the same appointment. This saved me a lot of time, which was SO VERY APPRECIATED!

Had a horrible experience. They do not have any information about the insurance and gives you false estimate before the visit. Also, they gave me referral for a surgeon who doesnt even take my insurance. I was told by the surgeon on the date of surgery that they will charge me the whole amount since they dont take my insurance. I had to take official office leave for surgery and had to cancel everything because of this. They are horrible with patient care. When I asked for referral for current surgeon, they asked me to call them to get their email address so they can do it. This is not a patients job in any way. Even after doing that, they failed to send the referral letter to that email. I will never go there again.

I thought I would try these guys out since they were offering the new patient $89 special and have all these 5 five star reviews. However, I regret that I did now. The $89 special is just a bait and switch. What they dont tell you is the $89 special is only for a light teeth cleaning. If they have to do a heavier cleaning, you better get your wallet out! The price jumped from $89 to $289 just because of that. I called around to some other places in the area and I found that I could get the same work done for half as much as they were trying to charge me. Now I am out $62 in X ray fees that I didnt even need because I didnt accept their bait and switch offer and I already had some that I could of sent from another place.You will see many reviews on here say that the staff is very friendly and nice and that is mostly true. However, they are not so friendly when you want to question their price. They act very smug and arrogant when you try to negotiate with them. They would rather not have your business then to try to earn your business. I think you would be better served in overall value elsewhere.

A dear co-worker of mine recommended Double Oak Mountain Family Dentistry to me some time ago and I have never looked back. My visits have always been on time, efficient and thorough, from the greeting (by name!) at the front desk, to my hygienist, the Doctor and the well wish on my way out...goodie bag in hand! I have introduced my husband to this fine group as well and we have both in turn recommended this practice to other family members and friends, who have been thankful. When we moved (actually down-sized), we continue to drive a few miles further just to be treated like they really care! It feels like family and a plus - - - they know insurance and are always a step ahead.
