There are no words to describe the amazing experience I had at Hayah Beauty. Prior to this, I only had hair cuts. I was leery about the experience a bit. But from the moment I walked in, I was warmly welcomed. Darrius Peace is a master magician when it comes to hair. In a relatively short time he took the salt-n-pepper sheeps wool sitting atop my head and turned it into a signature look! And while he was working his magic, he continued to reinforce affirmations that were life-giving and affirming for real! If I could give him 20 stars, I flipping would. Love Hayah Beauty and Darrius Peace! They are masters - and the specialize in natural hair as well! If you are a guy who never had their hair done, just go. Youll be glad you did. I love, love, LOVED my virtual styling session! Im about six months into my transition so when this pandemic hit, I had no idea what to do with my hair. And between my Zoom calls and virtual meetings, I needed my hair to be on point. Thankfully, Hayah Beauty begun their Virtual Beauty Sessions and came through! It was so easy to do, they even sent directions beforehand explaining how the process would work and what supplies I needed. Ten minutes in, I promise you, my hair looked SO much better than me doing it on my own! While I certainly didnt achieve what I would get in the salon, Im so much more confident in my hair and achieved a style that Im comfortable with.Thank you Hayah Beauty!

The owner Mr. Peace remembers almost all customers by their names. He and his staff greet every customer while she/he walks in and they would introduce the customers to each other. Soon after you walk in you will start a friendly conversation with someone while your hair is being taken good care of.I was lucky to have Navorro cut my hair and he did an excellent job. He took his time and spend a entire hour to make sure I like my new hairstyle and I loved it!

I found myself in Birmingham for a family emergency at UAB. I was there for about a week and at one point just needed to relax and take my mind off of things so I decided I’d find someplace to get my hair done. When I tell you that HAYAH was the PERFECT place for that! It was exactly what I needed at the time and would HIGHLY recommend HAYAH to locals, as well as anyone traveling to the Birmingham area.Everyone at HAYAH is very professional and positive and encouraging. The salon exudes of a space of kindness and warmth. There are so many little things that go on in HAYAH that makes you feel so special, from the warm greeting and introduction upon entering the salon, to the hot towels, footrest dryers, down to the positive words on the dryers and the words of encouragement spoken to you as you enter the dryer.I am 48 years old and have been visiting salons all over from my hometown of Chicago, to Atlanta to Vegas to Florida and beyond and I can honestly say that I have NEVER had an experience like the one at HAYAH.I don’t know when I will be back to Birmingham, but when I do I will DEFINITELY be making an appointment at HAYAH!
