Excellent experience today at Figo Birmingham. I was greeted so cordially by Njima, and made to feel welcome. The salon is a beautiful, light, clean space and I enjoyed being there. Ive been getting my hair cut by Mitchell for more than 8 months now and he always does a 10/10 job. This guy knows how to listen to exactly what you want done and flawlessly executes it. Naomi was phenomenal! I had a lash lift for the first time which looks great and sounds pretty low maintenance. Exceptional customer service from the moment you walk in the door! Ashna and her assistant were very respectful and accommodating of the fact that I wear hijab and cover my hair. I was taken to a separate room of the salon to have my hair cut privately. Ashna was really easy to talk to, a plus when you’re at the salon. My hair was so dead at the ends, but Ashna brought my hair back to life. I was so happy with the outcome of my haircut! 10/10 would go back again!!

The ambiance was welcoming and energetic. Prior to my first time coming here, I had a discussion with the receptionist about what I was looking for and she arranged me with a stylist. I felt really cared for coming in. The highlights I received were well done. However, they must not have blocked enough time for me because towards the end, everything was suddenly rushed. My haircut only took 15 minutes and I left bewildered because everything ended so fast-paced. I got home and was able to take a good look at my haircut and was pretty disappointed. I paid $200 for the services, and I expected the quality to match. I called back the next day voicing my issues, and they asked me to come back for a touch-up at no charge. I went back in and everything was fixed up nicely, and I felt much better about the whole situation. Overall my experience was good, and Im glad that they handled my issues well.

Ever since my wife has been suggested to go to Figo to address her hair (which is fine, and surely, not the only one out there with such hair), she has been a regular to that salon.The attention of the staff to the customers desired outcome - distinguishing the need from the want - indicates the staff has the customers interest at heart. The staff suggests small changes - to the desired hair and highlight colors, the amount of hair to trim/cut - when deemed appropriate based off the activity and environment the customer attends.My wife has tried, on rare occasions, other salons when her preferred stylist was unavailable, and while she had confirmed the pricing structure prior to her visits at these competitor locations to be lower than Figos, she often would end up paying the same (or more!) amount of money that Figo commands - with a disappointing end result such as color too harsh and highlights too sharp.With that experience in our pocket, we prefer to adjust our schedule or select an other available stylist at Figo than to be unsatisfied with other hair salons in the Detroit/Birmingham area.

I had my haircut by Sophie and she did a amazing job giving me a fade and hair trim on top. She explained some of my concerns I had with thinking I had thinning hair but Sophie explained it was just my hair line and even recommended some great products from the salon if I felt I needed them. I will defiantly be back and will be referring friends. Highly recommend.

I came in for a color correction, but wanted to add some extra buzzazz to my hair. Chelsea, in addition to looking darling in her own dusty pink pixie hair style, understood exactly what I was looking for. 3 hours after walking in I came out with subtle but multi shades of golden brown, coppery tones to my hair. And! She knew how to blow it dry to where it looked soft, natural but with real attitude. In addition to Chelsea being a total color pro - the rest of the staff is super friendly. Great place!
