I’ve been with Kassi since the very beginning, trusting her with my virgin hair. Since, I’ve never left disappointed. Kassi is an extremely professional stylist who continues to grow relationships with her clients with her kind and positive attitude. Crissy spent time with me to understand my hair and why it was a mess! She gave me a treatment and a blow dry lesson. Don’t ever under estimate the value of an amazing blow dry. My hair looks phenomenal and I couldn’t be happier.I will definitely be making this my new salon.

Sonya is incredible! Her technique for hair removal is painless and she is amazing to talk with. She has such an upbeat attitude and is just fun to be around. She showed me a great new technique to fill my brows, and she cares about how your skin will react to everything she does. Highly recommend!! Also, Cecilia does my lash lifts, and she is fantastic. She is insanely nice to speak to and Ill be going back for another lift and a spray tan - so lovely to work with!

On Friday, May 28th, I saw Boriana Rexha, and it was the WORST experience of my life. Not only does my hair look horrendous, but Boriana’s lack of intrapersonal skills, professionalism, and customer service made this experience significantly more traumatic for me. To begin, my first interaction with Boriana was her approaching me in an aggressive, pushy, and combative tone and saying, “Why do you want to do this to your hair? Have you ever gone this light? It’s impossible. Anyone who says they can make you light in one session is lying to you. Trust me, Im an expert, I know what’s best.” Rather than introducing herself to me, hearing my concerns, and coming to a collective decision regarding treatment together, Boriana was very dismissive and quick to judge what I had wanted. We also began the appointment 45 minutes late because she was too busy doing someone elses hair.It was very apparent that Boriana’s entire goal was to deliberately not give me the color that I had desired so that I could make multiple visits to the salon and fund her with more money. I came into the salon with black hair, and I showed Boriana a photo of a dark bronde/ashy hair tone. Instead of that, I was charged $300 to go from black hair to the most disgusting and BRASSY orange/caramel/yellow/black hair I have ever seen in my entire life. Normally, at 6 Salon and all the other salons I’ve been to, I will pay $300 for dye, a haircut, and a conditioning treatment altogether. Boriana did not do ANY of that. All she did was dye my hair, which was clearly done incorrectly. I have no idea where the $300 charge came from, and Im not sure how she had the audacity to charge me that much after making me look like a tiger.Boriana’s justification for giving me horrendous hair is that she wanted to “preserve the integrity of my hair”. If she wanted to preserve the integrity of my hair, she should have never agreed to do the treatment in the first place knowing that the result would be horrific. She never disclosed to me that my hair would be multiple brassy shades during our consultation, nor was she clear regarding how long the “process” of going blonde would take. She told me that I would have to make multiple visits to go blonde and never informed me that they would have to be spaced months apart until the appointment was over. Since I had the time constraint of an upcoming event, I would have NEVER agreed to proceed with the treatment if she had informed me in advance that it would take months.From someone who has gone from DARK brown hair to BRIGHT blonde hair in a matter of 2 hours at other salons, it baffles me that Boriana did not even ATTEMPT to give me the hair that I desired when it was clearly possible to do. I have had 7-8 hour sessions at 6 Salon with staff who are beyond more talented than her and were able to accomplish exactly what I wanted, and they still NEVER charged me as much as Boriana did.Notably, Boriana treats her assistants like dirt. It’s painful to witness. She consistently yelled at her assistants, made them feel inferior to her for no reason, and criticized their every move. At one point, she started laughing at her assistant’s accent. It’s ironic that she has such a holier-than-thou approach and god-complex when her assistants are 1,000 times more hardworking and qualified than she will ever be. Her assistants are essentially doing ALL of her work for her. She overbooks herself and then has one assistant work on each individual rather than having them work alongside her.I’ve attached photos of what I asked for versus what I got. If Boriana actually cared about the “customer experience” and was not money-driven, she would have been willing to re-bleach my hair at no cost since this was not at all what I asked for.ALSO BEWARE- NONE OF THE STAFF MEMBERS AT THIS SALON WEAR MASKS OR SHOW PROOF OF VACCINATION.

6 salon is honestly one of the best salons in Metro-Detroit. From their client service, receptionist, hairdressers, esthetician’s, you name it they rock at it. I go to 6 for all of my services that I do, not only because they have very fair prices but their team members kill it every time! I went in there on Saturday and right when I walked in their receptionist with black hair that day in Birmingham greeted me, checked me in, she was asking about how my day is going and everything. While I was sitting down she made it a point to come to me and ask me if I’d like anything to drink and consistently checked in on me till I was called back. If you ask me that is more than great client service! I believe that receptionist’s name was Chanel? So, while I was coming up to check out both the receptionist asked me how everything went and all that good stuff. The other receptionist i believe her name was Kat? Asked me about what I have planned and everything after I left the salon to keep the conversation going rather than standing their in silence which I appreciated because now a days receptionist just say hi, check you in, and say goodbye, but not these two ladies. As she continued to cash me out she asked me if i needed products or anything at all as well and actually recommended a few things for my hair (which I have tried them and they are AMAZING)! Overall, to say the least, I don’t usually write reviews but it was definitely needed for this day. Those girls deserve a raise, haha!

All I have to say is go to Rochelle. Trust me when I say she’s going to give you what you want and even better. As for the salon, it’s so clean, and organized. One of the best decisions i’ve made. I’m definitely coming back and doing my hair with Rochelle and Rochelle only.

Jen B has always been 5 stars in my book! For me and my difficult hair, I can get an okay cut somewhere else but would have to wash and restyle after I left to get it the way I like it, no matter how much Id explain. Shes the only one that I 1000% trust to have me walking out ready for a night on the town (or these days a zoom call) and I dont have to worry about touching up or restyling! 15 out of 10 Ill always recommend Jen!

Jen B is the best there is. She goes above and beyond to make sure it’s what you want, but also gives you her honest opinion. I’ve been seeing her for over ten years and wouldn’t change it for a bit!

Kasey did an amazing job on my hair, I feel like a new person, I love my hair, I love the color, she’s amazing! I recommend everybody gets their hair done by her. She definitely deserves a raise, because she goes above and beyond

Lauren was amazing! She color corrected the hell out of my hair. I was dying my hair black box dye for years. I left the salon with a beautiful honey/caramel balayage and with all the bleaching my hair still feels super healthy and soft. Her assistant was also really sweet and helpful. I would definitely recommend her to a friend!

I must admit that during the consultation, I couldnt exactly articulate what I wanted...but Dakota patiently listened and offered greater insight so that I could make an informed decision. I was refunded but NEVER contacted by the owner or a even a manager.Its called salon 6 (out of 10) for a reason.

Katrina is great! She is always booked. I’m super busy; she understands my time & does her best to be accommodating. Now, if you want amazing hair you are not going to get in & out in a hour, it just doesn’t work that way.She listens to what I want & then makes recommendations, I trust her expertise!

This was my first experience at 6 Salon and I’m really happy. I haven’t been to a salon in a looong time and my hair length showed it. I was ready for something drastic. After showing her a few pics, Lauren helped me decide on a bob and 12 inches later, I had a perfect cut. So chic. Super cute. I LOVE it. Lauren is really talented. She cuts with such precision. And she’s fast. I’m so happy. And I’m excited for my next cut!

Colleen made my vision reality! She always goes the extra mile for her clients and it shows in her work. There are very few appointments where she’s not still working on my hair as we are walking to the front desk and I love that about her. First time having Kevin do my hair and Im gonna keep him! Already booked my next appt w/ him too. My favorite things about my experience today were that Kevin asked what I wanted, and that he actually blow dried my thick curly hair smoothly!! Other stylists always want to flat iron my hair and he didnt have to, he gave me a bombshell blowout and an amazing color while keeping the integrity of my hair. I am so impressed and happy with his work. His assistant Tina is really good too. They both know what theyre doing and are very talented.

My experience was terrible here.Asked for red and got orange.She toned my hair twice.And then she (Emily Kling) acted like she did a perfect job.My hair ended up looking so patchy, uneven and crunchy.She still Kept complimenting my hair.Which was ridiculous.I messaged her on instagram that my hair doesn’t look like the picture. (It wasn’t even close to red), then she said to come again and she’ll put a darker color on me.I was not comfortable going back to her so I had to go to different stylist to get it fixed.I have also posted pictures on their fb review page.So people can really see what happened

Lauren is amazing. She finished highlights on my very dark “almost virgin” hair and knew exactly how to do it! She took her time to carefully apply the color and toners along with making sure the detailing was right. My hair turned out excellent and I couldn’t be any happier. Her assistant, Cassidy, is also just as amazing.

First time and I will be back! Victoria was very knowledgeable and asked questions before hand. We talked through my options and I choose to have a moderate cut. She did a great job on my blow out and gave me a layered look. She finished in a timely manner and shes friendly. Employees are wearing masks and theres work area dividers.

I rarely leave bad reviews but i had to do it!!!Never go to this place!!!!!! Worst hair salon ever!!!!! I had the worst experience of my life, first time this happens to me and it was at 6 salon!!!!I made an appointment 2 weeks in advance for balayage. My appointment was supposed to be at 2:30pm. However, the salon called 2 days before to reschedule my appointment at 2:45pm and mentioned the hairstylist (Kevin) could not do it at that time.I arrived at 2:45pm and the door was locked, i had to knock on the door so they could open it, looks like they were ignoring me.The lady that opened the door was super rude did not ask anything, she simply left. I had to ask someone else “where the front desk is”. After I finally found the front desk, the receptionist was on the phone and told me to wait. I was waiting to be attended and then she attended somebody else that arrived after me. I did not like it that much but i was hoping to meet someone nice like the hairstylist.His assistant told me to follow her, she was super rude asking to put my hair down. I was like “how can you ask for that?” You are supposed to put it down and touch my hair. I ignored the comment and put my hair down, she combed my hair and then told me to wait for Kevin.When he showed up, i introduced myself and started showing pics of what i wanted. I was being nice even though I was not being treated well. Therefore, he mentioned he could not do the balayage because i was “late”. I mentioned i arrived on time and they made me wait at the front desk, he said “sorry for the confusion but i can only do a haircut and blowout for you”I replied no thanks, he removed the cape so fast that he dropped my phone!!! Honestly I was so mad that I immediately left.I will never go to this place again!!! They dont treat people well. Very bad customer service!!!

Salon 6 offers more than a haircut, it’s an experience! When I arrived, I was nervous about how busy the salon seemed, but I quickly realized it is efficiently run and organized. The salon atmosphere is bustling but chic. I was greeted and checked in at the front desk before Christopher took my coat and offered something to drink. Shortly after sitting in the chair, Colleen came to the station to discuss what I wanted. I have curly hair and had heard Colleen was the best - she did not disappoint. While cutting my hair dry, she was incredibly focused. For Colleen, cutting hair is a form of art. After a shampoo and blow dry, Colleen finished cutting my hair with grace and precision. I love it! I look forward to returning in the future!

I really loved this salon! Today was my first experience they were so nice as soon as I arrived .. their hospitality was immaculate.. ;)In regards to the actual work done.. I had an appointment with Michelle at 1PM fot hair cut and color..I got seated on time she is very professional and nice.. Listened to my needs and made sure that any coloring would not further damage my hair.. she recommended great color and tones and it turned up soo nice!Highly recommended.. thank you
