Patty is the coolest! I got my hair ruined/turned orange at a different place, and she managed to fix it in one session. She asked me questions before starting and helped me understand what would look good and be good for my hair in the long run. Once she started, she really took her time to fix it and do it well. I love people who value quality and also seem to really like what they do. I love my hair now and have gotten a few compliments on it, too. I will definitely be coming back and highly recommend The Shop Salon!

I have been going to The Shop Salon this year and really have had great experiences with getting haircuts and special balayage treatments. Patty Frailey has been my stylist and she is excellent! She is really friendly, kind and does great work.

Just moved back to the DC area and needed a new place to get my hair done. I tried The Shop due to online reviews and had a great experience. Heidi was lovely and gave me a cut and color for less than I expected to spend. She also gave me tips on styling and products. The salon is clean and covid procedures are followed. Online booking was easy. Ive been getting my hair done for years at both high and lower end salons and this was one of my better experiences for sure. Its half an hour from my apartment but worth it, I will be back!

I love going to The Shop Salon to get my hair done with Gustavo. Hes one of a few people I trust my hair for color and haircut because Im sure the result will always be AMAZING. No exception today, my first time there after the pandemic started. Also, the staff is friendly, the place is clean, they follow COVID-19 safety protocols. I felt safe going there and left happy with the results.

I was initially quoted 300 for a keratin and 85 for a haircut, total price 385. A little expensive but you get what you pay for, I thought. My hair stylist did a good job but burned my scalp multiple times when blow drying. Also, for 85 dollars, I did not get a cut, it was more of a trim - not worth almost 100 dollars. And when it came time to pay, I was quoted 360 for a keratin, with a total price of 445. The explanation for the 60 increase? The response was all over the place and it was not explained why the original price was not honored. Then two different stylists said they charge different prices for the same service, which makes no sense. And one of the stylist ended up saying she charges 300 for shorter hair, but on the phone she said it just 300 for the service, mentioned no change in price based on hair length. Also, I told them the length of my hair on the phone prior to my appointment when I was quoted the initial amount, so there should have been no reason for the increase. I did not sign for the transaction and was not provided a receipt when asked. Overall, I feel like the staff was disingenuous and didnt honor the initial agreed upon price. I will not return to a salon that brings people in under false and changing prices, and doesnt have the decency to alert people when prices increase before performing the service. One star.

I highly recommend Bruna at The Shop in Bethesda, MD; she is amazing with color and haircuts. When I was working and making money, I used to fly to Italy for color; I used to fly to Paris for haircuts; I used to fly to Romania for a manicure. Now, I have Bruna in my backyard and very lucky to have found her.

Love The Shop Salon! I’ve been coming here for many years and love every stylist. Haley is currently my go-to gal for color and cuts and she’s been fabulous with my cool-guy son, too! Others are fantastic too and I’ve tried many for styling at different times. The vibe is relaxed and down to earth - not super uppity or unapproachable as you might expect from a salon of this caliber. Highly recommend!

They are very careful about COVID protocols. I see Bruna who is awesome. The haircut lasts very well - even when it becomes overgrown.

I was extremely impressed with how seriously The Shop is taking the risks associated with COVID. I was apprehensive about scheduling a appointment because of the pandemic, but was pleasantly surprised!There are very few appointments being scheduled together; I was the only client in the salon during my appointment. The have extended hours, opened 7 days a week to accommodate physical distancing and have cleaning protocols to keep chairs cleaned. There is hand sanitizer every where.So glad to be able to feel comfortable and confident. Also thrilled to get another fabulous cut by Bruna!

Booked an appointment with Sara to color my naturally black hair. She gave me the most gorgeous peekaboo oil slick (purple/ blue/ green blend) hair. I was absolutely blown away with the results, it truly came out better than I could have hoped for! Will definitely come back to Sara in the future!

My hair is very fine which seems to trip up most stylists, but not DK. He is so patient, ensuring an exceptionally precise cut. DK is up-to-date on the latest men’s styles and is a true artist. He’s also the only stylist who took the time to give me blow drying and styling advice. +friendly and genuine

Aaron, the shop owner with his 20+ years of experience, was disappointing to put it most kindly. What he managed did not even remotely resemble what I requested and expected. He either did not pay attention, did not care or lost his touch... I would have been OK if this was a $15 haircut but one expects a little better for $50.

Pretty pricey for men just looking for a hair cut, but you definitely get what you pay for. Everyone here knows exactly what they are doing and are very knowledgable on hair and provide tips and tricks to get the best look you could ask for.

The Shop Salon is the place where you can relax while some of the professional hairdressers is making you a lovely haircut. I like to go to The Shop Salon because of many reasons and the nice atmosphere along with the girls friendly attitude are among the most important reasons.

Avoid Ellie like the plague. After giving me the worst highlights of my life (was supposed to be full balayage, but ended up a being chunky hot rooted mess), she decided to give me a mullet to clean up bangs I didnt have in the first place. Worst haircut Ive every gotten, will take years to grow out properly. If you get her, just turn around and walk out.
