Go see Sara, she is amazing! She listens well and walks you through why something might not work, but then will show you 2 to 3 ways something else might work. She takes her time and doesnt rush. I have always loved my hair everytime I leave there.

Not practicing COVID precautions. Hair from previous customer on floor and chair when walked to the stylists chair. Over heard stylist complaining about another customer. Salon is very dirty and not welcoming at all.

I have been going to salon central with Sara for many years. I was nervous about going back because of covid. Salon central exceeded my expectations. It was incredibly clean and safe. I called ahead to make my appointment and scheduled it easily. When I arrived there was plenty of parking. Gail called me to let me know Sara was ready for me to come in. Everyone was wearing a mask. We sanitized at the door and my temperature was taken to make sure I didn’t have a fever. All the stations were spotless. There were very few people in the salon because they are limiting the people who can go in. I had the best haircut and highlight with Sara that I have ever had!! I had decided to let my roots go gray and Sara worked with me to give me a fantastic highlight and cut that was perfect. The entire experience was great. I felt relaxed and safe

Sandra is amazing! I went in today for a color and cut and I have already received so many complements on my hair! Salon Central and all of the staff are doing a great job making sure everything is clean and completely spotless. From temperature checks at the door to sanitizing throughout the day, they are doing everything possible to make sure everyone has a comfortable and fantastic experience. I was able to get an appointment with Mindy for color and cut the first week they were back open. The cut and color were, of course, phenomenal! Mindy is by far the best stylist I have ever used. (Robin, who was my shampooer is also extraordinarily good and totally sweet.)Under her care, my hair not only looks better - more up to date - than with previous stylists, but it is in better physical condition than it had been for decades. I’m getting tons of compliments. I was taken back to her station right on time, after getting a temp check and hand sanitizer. . I wore a mask, of course, as did everyone else. The stations and implements were spotless and sanitized before each use. I felt quite comfortable and pleased that they not only did the great job I had expected on my hair, but went through a lot of trouble to be sure I was safe while I was with them. I recommend them very highly.

Kayla cut, painted, and styled my hair. I have been going to her about a year now, I love her she always does an amazing job. Store is clean and well taken care of.

I love salon central. I started going a few years ago when I worked at Walter Reed. Now that I am retired and live outside the beltway I still go. The staff (admin) is very kind and friendly. They always greet you upon arrival and I have never encountered one that has been nothing but pleasant. The shampoo staff is very friendly and always asks how you and the family are. Their shampoos and conditioners are to die for. Sara is the stylist who has done my hair for the past few years. When you talk she listens and tells you if she thinks that will work or not. I have NEVER BEEN DISAPPOINTED! I have also had the opportunity to have Sondra when Sara was not in our not available. She too is an excellent stylist. You can’t go wrong at Salon Central.

I have been to Salon Central since it recently reopened and felt very safe. Before it opened, Gail sent out e-mails letting us know what the Salon would do to comply with the restrictions of Covid-19; everything was exactly as she said. My temperature was taken when I walked in the door, there were three stylists, three clients, one person washing hair and Gail was at the front desk. Everyone was wearing face masks and there was an abundance of hand sanitizer. Ive been going to Salon Central for about 20 years, love my stylist, Gretchen, and know that the Salon Central staff will do everything necessary to keep their clients safe.

The salon is always clean, brightly lit and I am welcomed warmly. Sarah has been cutting my hair for a few years and is quick efficient and does a great job. She will make suggestions and listen to my opinion, and we end up with what I am most pleased with, including new innovations and things to try. The location is convenient and parking easy, which is a plus for me. Thank you Salon Central, I love you.

This weekend I visited Salon Central as one of my first post-lockdown outings. I was slightly nervous before making an appointment, but after seeing an email from Gail and her team about their cleaning process and safety guidelines, I was reassured. I felt completely comfortable during my appointment - loved to see that theyre not just taking the necessary and required precautions, but going above and beyond to make their clients feel safe. When I entered, my temperature was taken with a touchless scanner. There was plexiglass at the front desk, only 3 stylists were working, and each just had one client in the salon at a time. Everyone had masks on the entire time, all of the equipment was sanitized after each use, and everyone kept their distance. It was a very professional experience (as always). It was so nice to be back in the salon. Kayla of course did an amazing job as she always does. Thank you Salon Central for making us feel safe!

Kayla is the best !!! She saved my box dyed hair over 4 years ago with balayage and olapex. Over the past few years, I’ve been able to witness/hear about all the continuing education they’ve received as a salon, they really keep up with the newest trends, treatments and hair care brands! I was a little nervous about heading back into the world after the coronavirus quarantine, but everyone at Salon Central made that first step amazingly easy and reassuring! They did a touchless temp scan upon my arrival, number of stylists and clients was limited, plexiglass at the front desk, everyone was masked and I watched as chairs were sprayed down after each client left - and even every styling product was wiped down after use.And, of course, Gretchen was her usual supremely talented and professional self. Great to feel normal again - and with great hair! Thanks to Gail and all the staff for such a great job adapting to difficult circumstances. Only hard part was no being able to hug my salon family!

Gretchen is the best! She is an amazing colorist, and also does a great cut and style on me every time! I look forward to seeing her - not just because I love the way I look when I leave, but also because she is just really really sweet. The salon has a non -pretentious feel to it, and everyone is really friendly.

I went to Melody at Salon Central for the first time the other day. Melody gave me one of the best cuts I have ever had. She listened to me and did everything I asked for, and she did things I didn’t even know to ask for! Truth be told, the cut isn’t all that different from what I had, but it is updated and sophisticated, and she knew how to handle my thick, wavy hair that I straighten every day. The small differences she made make a huge difference in how I look and feel. Every time I see myself in the mirror I think, “Oh, my hair looks good,” (instead of “It will grow out in a few weeks…”). Jai has been styling my hair for three years. She is creative, smart, highly skilled, and so very nice! She is a true professional. I’ve been going to Salon Central for at least 3 years now and have always been pleased with the modern environment and professionalism and friendliness of all of the staff. My personal hair stylist Marcus is the main reason I have absolutely fallen in love with Salon Central. Marcus has been doing my hair since I’ve been a patron at the salon and is a true gem! Being an African-American woman, it can be a challenge to find a stylist who is interested in maintaining AND improving the health of my hair, while staying on top of current hair trends, AND doing so in a timely fashion. However, I have found all of that in Marcus! I can be very picky when it comes to the styling of my hair and Marcus has ALWAYS been accommodating - especially if there is a strand out of place or if I want to change my hair style all together. I would highly recommend Marcus and Salon Central – not just for African American women but to anyone who is seeking a new hair home!

Ive been to Salon Central twice, and yesterday - my second visit - sealed it as my new go-to salon.After bouncing around different salons in the area for years, I left happier than I ever have after my afternoon appointment with Jay.First of all, they were able to squeeze me in three hours after I called, which is my own fault for deciding last-minute I needed a haircut before a wedding this upcoming weekend. Second, Jay spent a solid 5 minutes looking at my hair and explaining what the current situation was, and the direction she thought I should go. Third, the best shampoo/head massage OF ALL TIME. And last, Jay did not push any products on me - she actually insisted I use up what I had at home first - but let me know what she thought would work best for my hair. I will definitely be stopping by the salon in the future to pick up products when my run out!Most importantly, I left with a fantastic haircut. Seriously, my oblivious male roommate noticed and complimented me as soon as I walked in the door, which hasnt happened in MANY haircuts. If that isnt the barometer for an upgrade, I dont know what is.Sugar on top: Everyone who works at the salon is insanely nice and personable. Youll leave wanting them all to be your best friend.

As a loyal client at another salon for more than 5 years, I came into salon central today as a first time client for a color correction.I was so pleasantly surprised. As my daughter and I walked in, the receptionist held the door open saying to come in. Made me feel welcome when I booked on the phone, and in person she was adorable and sweet.Limor took me to her chair and we both knew my hair was in bad shape. I have platinum blonde hair. Unbeknownst to Limor, I have been extremely sick for the past months and was losing hair. Im sure the bleach didnt help, but instead of being judgemental or unkind, Limor was just the opposite.Kind hearted, confident, and so skilled, she fixed my hair with a smile and even made it feel healthier.She treated both my daughter and I to a wonderful experience. Kelly, who washed my hair was too kind as well.This salon was a breath of fresh air and I cannot wait to return. So glad I found salon central!
