Highly recommend Dr Schrott. I needed a tissue graft due to severe gum recession in one tooth. I had one performed by another doctor last year and it was a total failure - it was extremely painful and it didnt take. I couldnt eat or drink anything for 3 weeks without feeling pain in the roof of my mouth. I was referred to Dr Schrott and I was hesitant to have another tissues graft done using my own tissue (instead of an allograft) because I had been in so much pain the previous time. He explained how he would perform the procedure reassuring me it shouldnt be painful. He is amazing! A couple of days after the procedure I had barely any pain left. I could eat without issues (I still follow the soft diet as per his instructions but otherwise I feel just fine). Its only been three weeks since the surgery and the area looks pretty healthy! Hopefully, things will keep looking good and I wont need to do another one.

I went to Dr Schrott for a front tooth implant that also included the extraction, bone and gum graft. I chose him as a result of the highly recommended reviews online and he not only met those accolades but he exceeded them! The implant stage was done by Dr. Schrott and the rest (abutment stage) was done by another dentist. Both worked perfectly in sync with each other to make sure everything went according to plan. I can’t say enough about how happy I am with the result, it totally exceeded my expectations. Dr. Schrott is such a perfectionist - you cannot distinguish between the implant and my natural teeth. Dr. Schrott obviously knows his profession inside and out and does an excellent job of explaining what needs to be done and why in language that patients can understand. His manual dexterity is also commendable, as Ive been to dentists who didnt share his refined a control of dental instruments, and it makes a big difference in patient comfort and the efficiency of the work. Nice, calming chairside manner as well. Staff are attentive and professional. Nobody enjoys going to the dentist, but this is about as close as youll get.

Dr. Schrott took a lot of time with to answer my questions and to let me know what to expect from a potential procedure. I was getting a second opinion on something but he treated me as a regular patient. So much so, that when I schedule this, I will be doing so with him. Dr Schrott took the time to explain exactly what was going to happen. He was extremely courteous but he was also very frank and honest. In addition the general atmosphere was friendly and helpful.

I had the misfortune of seeing a total of 7 periodontists in the past 16 years, because my PD sort of unraveled at a time when I moved a lot for my work. I had work done by 4 of them, and based on this experience, I highly recommend Dr Schrott.I will back another reviewer in his statement that Dr Schrott is a skilled surgeon. You can judge that from the post-op pain you endure following a procedure. When Dr Schrott performed a large gum graft over several upper teeth, I experienced only minimal pain during the procedure and in the following days, and the end result was a great success. This contrasted with the debilitating pain I suffered during, and after, being “butchered up” by another periodontist, who left a thin and patchy graft that I judged to be a botched procedure. Even though most local periodontists have stellar credentials, some still manage to be mediocre at what they do, and you have to be careful when choosing a Dr.Dr Schrott is also a calm and considerate communicator, as opposed to the patronizing demeanor of your typical American doctor, and talks to you like an adult, and not like a clueless toddler.Finally, his staff is very professional and accommodating.

I was Dr Schrotts patient for the past year. I had complicated issues, stemmed from not-so-great dental care as a teenager abroad, followed by mutiple extractions. I had two (actually three) complex surgical procedures, two were combined in one bigger surgery by Dr Schrott. Healing went very well, without much pain and without complications.Dr Schrott is very competent and technnically skilled, comes highly recommended by his Harvard degrees, as well as German and Swiss training and practice.In person is a gentle, humble, pleasant and friendly physician who genuinely cares about his patients.I warmly recommend him, and I personally would pursue care with him should other issues arise with my oral helath.

I could not have been more satisfied by the treatment I receive from Dr. Schrott and his team. I was able to get a next day appointment, for an emergency extraction just before Christmas (while my established Periodontist could not fit me in). I was somehow shocked, when my dentist told me, she needs to extract 2 teeth, that were hurting since months, as they can not be revitalized. Although I did not care too much about my mouth the last years, I hoped for better news. My dentist finally referred me to Dr. Schrott, as a Periodontist specialized in those cases, to extract both teeth and set implants. In two surgical sessions, Dr. Schrott extracted the bad teeth and put 2 implants. I had literally no pain at all and the whole procedure was highly professional and Dr. Schrott explained everything in detail and answered all my questions in dedication and took my fear from that procedure.
