Had the BEST experience with the optician Mario! He was very helpful with my insurance snafu and upon my return visit was able to get it all straightened out.Mario seemed to care and remembered me! I felt good getting his opinion on my new frames. Looking forward to working with him again in the future. Would highly recommend this gentleman!

Just go to focus 20/20 on Southmore avenue in Pasadena at the Walmart. My old optometrist is there and I will be switching back. Trust me. I dont have to explain why but if you go here, you will see why.

Wasted 2 months between visits picked out glasses, gave them insurance info twice to be told they dont accept my insurance not to mention they hadnt even ordered the glasses I wanted. Horrible customer service I wouldnt recommend them to anyone. Previous frames where poor quality and not worth the money. Walmart glasses where far. If you wanna browse frames thats the ONLY good service they provide in my opinion.

This place is awesome!! Staff is wonderful and the doctor terrific. I had a safe experience here during the pandemic. Their attention to detail is amazing. The selection of frames was limited because of the covid pandemic but as time passed more choices were available. I’m definitely going back for my eye care needs.

I visited this place with my wife today. We were both vaccinated and wearing masks. When I first got in, a staff at the front desk told us only one person can be in the store. I understand that, but when I started to look around the glasses, the staff at the front desk came to me and told me just dont touch anything, okay? I felt so insulted feeling like she treat like walking germ. I do not want to spend hundreds dollars on a store treat me like a trash and does not allow me to try their products, especially if it is glasses. If you guys want to keep your products clean, staffs, who were just sitting at the desk, can clean and sterilize the glasses after customer trying them, not telling customers not to touch anything. What a rude.

I have never had an issue here before normally when I come in everyone is super friendly and they have their stuff together. But today when I came in I have to explain that I spoke with two different people on the phone. All I needed was to replace my glasses I have currently and get new ones. NO EYE EXAM and NOT DIFFERENT GLASSES. The lady in the front had no idea what she was doing and I got annoyed by having to repeat myself over 3 times. She laughed and said “idk why they would tell you that”. Ridiculous.

I spent $260.00 with these people and it was a total waste of money I can see better with a pair dollar general reading glasses then the ones I bought from them they claim I had cataracts problems but still sold me a pair of glasses that are totally useless. I have to retract my complaint and instead give American Best Eyeware its due respect because they looked at the problem and came up with a solution that worked for the both of us so ( THANK YOU) American Eyeware for looking out.

I paid over 700.00 for glasses and contacts for my wife and i. I let it be known the day we got them, mine ( later found my wife also) are not correct. The staff person said i need to let my eyes adjust to glasses. Ok we have done that. I went back, told them again they are not correct. All i could get is pay another 65.00 for another exam. I was told by the doc she could fix my eyesight to 20/20 with correct lenes. Is this not what we were suppose to get at first. I dont think we will pay again. The lenes are of no use to either of us.are you gonna answer this one or contact ab in baytown on garth road and actually get something done ?

VERY CLOSE TO FRAUD AND FALSE ADVERTISEMENT. It is almost impossible to determine the prices you will be charged..They advertise low price but charge you 3 to 4 TIMES the price In commercials.

Mario was just amazing! He helped me from beginning to end and always had a great attitude and was extremely helpful. He helped me pick a pair, and i got a call when glasses came in 3 days early!

DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS STORE. DO NOT VISIT THIS STORE THEY ARE RUDE AND LACK CUSTOMER SERVICE SKILLS. Im a recurring customer but my last visit was beyond humiliating. I went in to get my new glasses with my husband and they asked him to wait outside because he was not a patient and that is fine. I appreciate the measurements that they have put is place to keep us all safe. So he proceed to leave the store but as I was getting checked it I noticed that everybody else was accompanied and I asked the lady how come everybody else is accompanied and she explained to me.. oh she is underage and needs to be with his mother and so on.. It was a normal conversation but the lady sitting in the 1st desk by the entry door yelled at me all the way across the store SHE DOESNT HAVE TO EXPLAIN IS THE PATIENT ONLY AND THATS IT!! Everybody immediately turned an looked at me. If she had something to address she couldve walk and talk to me not YELL at me is such as disrespectful way for nothing. It was really unprofessional behavior and keep in mind that she was sitting with a customer and the store was full and everybody noticed it. Obviously I took my $600 and went to the store across the street. Will never be back there...

I will NEVER go there again . Bad customer services including the manager . We ordered glasses and when it was time to pick them they were not the right ones !! They said they couldn’t sell him those he has picked out due to insurance after we told them we will pay cash!!

My glasses were wrong they never had availability for me to get them changed they cancelled my appointment but never had time to get me back in I told the guy who answered the phone I cannot drive without my contacts and all he would say is I would have to wait until the 30th I’m a single mom of two I can’t take off work for 12 days so now I’m gonna be forced to try and find another doctor and start over so all the money I spent on there little member ship plan was a waste of time and money and just a way for them to hook me into being a patient.

They dont follow appointments. And they ask you to be there 15 min early but they dont respect the time of the appointment an make you wait. They need to appreciate that we paying for their services.And be more respectful to clients.

It would be nice if when you call during business hours they would actually answer (they close at 7) the machine says they’re closed because it’s after 7! It’s literally 5:20 pm please fix your phones can’t even call to ask a question.

I had an amazing experience at this location. Tge eye doctor was very knowledgeable and listened to what I was saying. She helped me to understand a few things and was not trying to rush me out. I even took my husband here and she found some damage from a childhood injury that no other dr has found.

I was very pleased with my visit. I walked in on a Saturday and luckily someone canceled their appointment. I was seen and out of there in about 30 minutes. Very friendly and quick. Absolutely NO complaints from me. Great eye exam experience!

Great service to start, eager to take you money. Service after initial visit is nonexistent. Was told 7-10 days for glasses and now 2 weeks later no call. Had to call to find out only one pair was in and possibly next week the other pair might come in. If you don’t mind having to call every day to find out if your order is in, by all means use this place.I’m addition:Had to call again to see if second pair was coming in, was told an email was sent but didn’t have email address.NOT EVEN AN “IM SORRY OR THANK YOU”!!!Blanket response from owner “Nancy”, when I asked for Nancy the response was “who?”.

I was pleasantly surprised with the service and the Doctor that I saw here. The Doctor was brilliant!! very knowledgeable and patient with all the questions.Now on the other hand calling in and having a conversation with the receptionist is the most unpleasant experience. I thought maybe it was just a bad day but this is the second time. She is just unpleasant and speaks to you like you are a pain in the behind. Besides that if you ask her to repeat anything she blows at you. huffing to show you her displeasure with having to deal with you.Update: I had occasion to go back and this time dealt with glass tech (not sure of their title sorry) and the manager. It was an extremely pleasant visit and business dealing. The manager (no problem) made herself available to more or less customize my bificals for the purpose that I needed them for. I believe the manager and the tech both were knowledgeable and very pleasant to deal with and I do sing the praises of this little shop to all my friends. I think people forgot to compliment for good service and I wanted to be sure to do that! Thank you again ladies for a most pleasant afternoon.

The doctor was super friendly and knowledgeable, but the billing staff needs some work. Was told over the phone that they took my insurance and it would be a certain amount of money for my exam and a supply of contacts. Got there and went through the whole exam and contact fitting process to find out they did not take my insurance so I had to pay the full price of the exam(all of this after giving them my insurance info again when I checked in). I would have went elsewhere if I had known. It was a big inconvenience. If you go here make sure to ask multiple times before you go through with the exam if they actually accept your insurance.

Very upset customer,i been goin here for 2 1/2 years already and I never had the experience what I had today, I went in for a yearly exam in Aug , and to order some new contacts as I was down to my last one, I paid $72 for my contacts on Aug 23, today is now Sept 18, and I have not gotten a call, text or anything from them that my contacts came in or not, I call the store, kept getting put on hold, was told that my name is not in their system, looked for my glasses I ordered but they couldnt find, why they were looking for glasses I dont know when I told the girl CONTACTS, well long story short 24 min later of being on hold a mgr comes on and says there is no ck facts and she doesnt know why they havent sent them in yet, and she is not the contact mgr, so she cant tell me anything, on top of it my c ok intact I have on now is over a month old and this store dont have samples for me to use. Very unhappey customer right now, considering the fact Im a vision member, and to be told they couldnt find me in the system. On top dont know when I will be reciecing my paid for contacts that I medically need.

Now on my 4th week waiting for my glasses all they give me is excuses. I hope I get my glasses before my next eye exam. I wont bother going to them again.Update after calling customer service getting hung up on and call again I was finally told my glasses are in and for my trouble they will give me free eye glass cleaner. Free eye glass cleaner wow everywhere you buy glasses gives free eyeglass cleaner. When I got my glasses guess what I didnt get free eye glass cleaner even after I asked for it

Two weeks for my glasses to come in.... Seriously?? I got prescription safety glasses from Walmart and it only took 6 days...!!! Last time I am using Americas Best..... Waste of time and money. Not to mention my safety glasses from Walmart cost less without insurance than what I paid for regular glasses from here... Very dissatisfied customer

I will never visit this place again, I felt like I was talked down to, went there to price my prescription and while I was looking at some brand names, one of the lady came over to me suggest that I should get the glasses on sale because the other are very expensive ad if she knew what was in my pocket.Dont judge a book by its cover! Ruin my whole day.
