The staff here works fast and are nothing but kind and patient. Thank you dr. Jones and the staff working Saturday. Some general easy advice would be to be kind to others who are not paid to make up for your intolerance. I feel like a lot of you making reviews know nothing about general wait times or customer service.

Courteous staff, comprehensive appointments! As long as you show up on time or reschedule well in advance, they’re happy to accommodate.They’ve also taken a lot of COVID precautions as well.

The quality of service has really gone down at this location has declined significantly in recent years. Communication is at its absolute worst. For a while I wasnt sure why they have such bad ratings on Google, but Ive unfortunately experienced it first hand.On 9/1, I left a pair of brand new frames with them for lens fitting and they disappeared from their system within two weeks. Ive been calling for 3 weeks now trying to get the broken frames back to see if it was a manufacturing issue (even though Ive been purchasing these nearly indestructible frames for my children for over 9 years with no issue) and I havent been able to get any help from anyone at this branch.According to their policy, they will not refund the cost of the frames they broke, they will only replace with something from their stock, none of which are toddler friendly.If nothing else, take away from this review that this is NOT the place to bring in outside frames. I still cant wrap my head around how they managed to break them when theyre literally designed to be bent in half without breaking. Shame on me for not heeding all the warnings already posted here in local groups.

Had a horrible experience last week, lady said they didn’t accept my insurance. I was on the phone with my insurance company and they are reassuring me that they are in my network. She refused to talk to or call the insurance company and told me they could not help me. I complained and got a call back from Levon, from Vision Works. What an amazing person, he apologized, said yes, they accept my insurance, got me an appointment right away. Just left there and it was a great appointment. Thank you Levon.

My experience has been nothing but positive. Yes, sometimes theres a wait, but thats because they take their time making sure the customer is satisfied. Professional, courteous and thorough. The quality of the glasses is top notch as well.

Went for a glasses and contacts exam. Staff were friendly and the doctor was helpful in answering any questions I had during the glasses exam. However, I was told that they did not have the correct lenses for me to try on for the contacts exam, that they would need to order the trial lenses, and that they would call to schedule a follow-up exam (which has never happened for me with any other eye doctor). It has now been a month since that first exam and I still havent heard anything about the follow-up exam. I called multiple times with no response, until I eventually just went in person to figure out what was happening. I was told that my contacts were still being delivered, but was not told when to expect them to arrive, and am still waiting. At this point Im just going to Costco to get the contacts exam since Ive already wasted half the summer waiting.

THE WORST PLACE TO VISIT!!!! STAY AWAY. LANEISHA WHO WORKS THERE AND claims to be a manager is acting like a straight up trash, putting her fingers up in front of our faces. Mind you we went there because my husband got a call fromThen stating he got glasses ready when HE NEVER ORDER ONE. When we went there this lady had the guts to tell us that we have to call insurance and an optical place who made them to resolve this issue.... VERY, VERY, VEEY POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE.

Dolly was extremely patient, professional and courteous and took her time to look up my insurance benefits. She is an asset to this store. I was about to take my business elsewhere but because of her, I decided to give the store another shot. Very caring rep and has a bright future ahead of her.

Supervisor made a comment to one of the younger workers that was inappropriate in front of everybody in the store out loud. It looked like he felt bad because everybody heard and looked at him. I can see that he’s a good worker and that he likes his job here at Vision Works in Bayonne. Steven just stated working here but he should get a little more respect. He speaks fluent Spanish, he is very respectful, he likes helping others, and you can see that he likes what he does here.

HORRIBLE service and no accountability! They ruined the frames I had selected, called me in twice to show that, then told me that those frames won’t work. I had to pick out another frame and pay difference even though my insurance allowed me to buy higher price frames. They would not help at all by calling insurance to fix their fault and zero accountability about making a mistake and dragging the Custome there multiple times! Subpar workmanship and poor customer service. DO NOT GO HERE.

I wish i could give negative stars becasue this is what is deserved. I made an appointment online a week in advance. i tried calling to confirm they took children. No answer after multiple attempts on different days. I figured when they put it in the system it has her birthday if there was an issue they would call. Got both email amd text confirmation of tje appointment. Show up sign in wait in car go back in closer to appointment time to find out rude dr who tells me she cant be seen they start at 4 i said well shes 4 no she has to go to a pediatric dr. Are you kidding me? Hands me a paper with one dr in jersey city and 8 oit of town, Wayne, lodi, newark, Bloomfield hi i dont drive. I just walked out she was so rude and unprofessional if u take kids at 4 why not mine shes speaks well knows her alpha3and can tell u whats wrong......SHAME ON YOU VISIONWORKS......HIRE PEOPLE TO ANSWER YOUR PHONES OR READS PATIENTS CHARTS. UBER MONEY WASTED WITH 3 KIDS IN TOW....

Horrible Service will no longer come here for my vision needs. They tried to charge me $20 additional bucks for dilation to use a special machine because of covid even though it is covered by insurance when you use the drops. I will be sure to inform my insurance that they did not provide this service even though they will charge my insurance. I am disappointed how this store has gone down hill since they let Manager Monica go. I would give them negative stars if it was an option. Do not go here rude sales people and eye doctors!

The worse doctors ever, after I received the glasses couldnt see with my left eye, so they said you can see another doctor same office, after the second try I wont see with both eyes, they are the worse.

Poor customer service. The location in Bayonne, NJ is understaffed, too much is going on & they dont have a stringent covid protocol. Customers just walk in & browse around, place is too crowded to have that. In addition, i had my eye & contact exam 2 weeks ago, i requested to order my contacts and have it shipped to my home. Needless to say no contacts & im not able to get a live person over the phone. Also there on-line customer service chat is the worse. I will not recommend Visionworks, i will change my vision plan so the next time i can go to Lenscrafters. I send am email to their headquarters lets see how that works out. This company has the worse customer service ive ever experienced. Bad choice of eye places.

I was so disappointed with this place what a rip off when it comes to choosing added features to your glasses. Very expensive They wanted to charges me an Extra 347.00 for no line bifocal and transitional lens and I have insurance. Plus when you have insurance you cant buy one get one free dont apply to you. What a rip off. Normally when you run a promotion like that you can get it but they punish you for having insurance. I walked out of there with just reading glasses which defeated my purpose I dont like the line bifocal and I refuse to pay an extra $167 for no line bifocal glasses. I normally go to another place but decided to give them a try. I should have just walked out and let the insurance just pay for the exam. I only just pay extra for transitional lens at my other place. Total rip off with insurance. I will not recommend them to anyone. My daughter was waiting for me outside and she was going to come here after my experience they changed their mind. I will let everyone I know not to come here if they are planning on purchasing their glasses from here. The doctor was very nice the one girl that approached me at the door needs to improve her customer service skills I didnt find her very friendly at all. I wont ever go back there I really needed a new pair of glasses and after waiting so long with this COVID I am still in the position I was in with no new glass to wear daily. VERY DISAPPOINTED.

Rude staff! I went to pick up my glasses, I walked in and I was asked “do you have an appointment” I said no. I was told to wait outside in the cold by the way and they will be bought to me. I get on the phone immediately and call corporate. Later that day I received a voicemail from some guy/woman from the brick vision works office about my complaint. The message stated my name is .... I’m calling from vision works here in brick about your recent visit. I will call you back in 15 minutes. Never received that call and when I called back all call’s went unanswered. I will stick with lens crafters. Vision works will never get my business again! And you can take that to the bank!

Rude staff, just sitting at a corner they ask if we have an appointment to enter the store ! I had to visit the store twice and still no luck just purchasing the eye glasses just because of a mistake made by the call center representative booking the appointment location. Even with no customers inside the store they said they are fully booked :)

Do NOT go there. They are Horrible. First they take exactly 1hour to pick up the phone. The Dr Ankita Saripella took 1 minute to do my eye exam🤦🏻‍♀️ Very Lazy. Dont waste your time going there. This place needs to be shut down....

UpdatedMonica is no longer there so I stopped going, the other random fill ins were very rude to my mother and myself. Doubt the corporation cares but they lost my familys business. Going to Costco instead...........................Been coming to visionworks in bayonne for a few and love the woman in the mornings Monica. Eye doctors are good also but Monica is the reason I, my parents and the rest of my tribe comes here. She knows us and asks about our well being. Monica and eye doctors get 5 stars. If Monica ever leaves because you do not treat her right or overwork her say goodbye to our business visionworks plain and simple........

New to Visionworks.The experience dealing will skilled and knowledgeable staff was smooth and efficient! Clean, organized showroom had a huge selection of glasses and sunglasses to choose from!Limit the people you go with to one, if you must bring someone.Temperature check at door, sanitized trays for your selections. Which are left in the tray to be sanitized for future customers. No more trying on and placing back on rack. Hand sanitizer for all customers to use.Appointments only!!! Which is one of the things I really enjoyed!!I loved the all inclusive advertising posters situated around the shop.... just beautiful!Exceptional service from DINISHA and the manager MONICA.THANK YOU!

Called today to schedule an appointment the women on the phone was very unhelpful. I was told the next available appointment was six weeks away. I asked if it were possible to get anything sooner, the women kept rudely repeating the same thing over and over again “That’s all I have available.” “That’s all I have available.” I lost my job because of COVID and my insurance I have to pay cash. I have a coupon that expires at the end of the month I asked if there was anything she could do to help maybe if someone cancels I could possibly get an exam. “That’s all I available.” “That’s all I have available.” No thank you. I’ll find another place.

Worst experience, my mom waited 2 months for her appointment and then came to wait over 2 hours to be seen. Appoint was at 1pm, she was told to come back in 40 min because the doctor was going to lunch and cane back to wait over an hour again!!!! What is the point of making an appointment.
