Totally highly recommend Gateway Family Dentistry because I have gone to several dentist here in Bakersfield and the way they treat you and there work is amazing. My son went yesterday and he also was very impressed with the the whole atmosphere and he will continue with Gateway. I went with a broken tooth and they fixed it immediately and very affordable and my teeth where pretty bad from drinking coffee.

Excellent doctor! Very thorough and caring. Im afraid of the dentist and shes very sensitive to that and goes the extra mile to make you feel comfortable! I did my Invisalign with her and I’m very happy with my results. If your looking for a place to go this is it!!

Everyone was very friendly and kind. We felt very comfortable with the staff from the front desk, to the back office, and the doctor herself. They did a good job with myself and especially with my 11 y/o daughter! I recommend them to everyone who needs any sort of dental care.

I needed an urgent appt, they were able to get me in within a couple hrs. The office was very clean and safe. The staff were all incredibly nice and straight forward. So lucky to have found a great dentistry.

Been having tooth pain on and off for over an year, visited 4 different dentists who were not able to diagnose where the pain is coming from. Dr. Padmaja Mutyala quickly diagnosed that 2 of my molar had fractures and recommended that I get root canal treatment and crowns. She took time to explain the procedure and put me at ease. Both molars were root canal treated and crowned the same day in single sitting with little to no pain at all.The staff at Gateway Family Dentistry are very nice, professional and welcoming. After check up I was given a complete breakdown of needed dental work broke out by insurance allowance. I followed up the next day with as cleaning. Very relaxing.I plan to continue through the work they suggested.

I want to thank the staff at Gateway Family Dental for being very patient with my 7 year old son. My son is terrified of dentist and was hysterical when they first started on his fillings, but with the patience (lots of it) of the staff here they were eventually able to calm him down and complete his treatment. The office was very warm and inviting the staff was wonderful the doctor took the time and the patience with me because she knew I was very scared cuz Ive been hurt by many Dennis before they took my blood pressure to make sure I was stable enough to do what needed to be done the doctor talked through the procedure letting me know step by step what was being done and what wasnt Im definitely going back next week and referring friends and family to Gateway Dentistry

I came in with some serious pain a few months back and the work done in a hurry to get me feeling better was A+, didnt feel like it was a rushed job or anything. Really awesome front desk receptionist who stayed in good communication with me about further work I needed done, the dental assistant was new to this office at the time but looked like she was working out just fine.

Ive been looking for a dentist for my daughter for months now...and Dr. Mutyala is the best! I would recommend her to anyone who like a personable Dentist that really cares.Every Dentist I called it was going to be a 3-6 month wait till I got an appointment ... Dr. Mutyala got us in within the week and my daughter and I were blessed with a wonderful experience. She gave us information to help prevent cavities and which tooth brushes work better.Also, her staff was extremely friendly and their office is up to date with technology. And their location is at a friendly location where I didnt have to drive across town to see a dentist.I would recommend kids,family and friends to go to Gateway!

Felt like they skipped cleaning half my teeth, then they wanted to give me four fillings, and sell me a mouth guard. I went back to my old dentist and they were shocked at how good my teeth looked.

As always, my experience on this visit was excellent. This was a routine visit for cleaning, x-rays, etc.

Dr. Mutyala kept me calm every time I come in. For a person who hasnt been in the dentist for a long time, she definitely earned my trust. Her professional staff is always very friendly. They work whats best for me. Update: Dr. Mutyala and her staff always have such gentle hands. They follow COVID-19 safety guidelines and ensures the safety of their patients.

Terrible service. At first the dentist and front office seemed very nice and open and helpful. We told them that we would have to wait for our tax refund to pay. We were told that we could pay half up front and the other half after if we needed to because shes, aware that we need the teeth fixed and thats whats most important. Once the time came I had the full amount thanks to my tax return. The charge to my card was attempted at full price, then again at 4k. Both times declined. I stated it might be a bank thing with a cap on my maximum daily purchase. I offered to pay cash once I was off work. I brought up the option to only pay half (which would have worked.) And I was ignored, I raised it again (i was on speakerphone) and again ignored. They made accomodations like taking late lunch and put aside 5hrs to do the work for us. They were not going to charge us. But after hearing me say if theyre not willing to work with us we will have to look elsewhere(I was at work on speaker), my GF told me that the doctor made the decision to charge me the $150 cancellation fee after the call was ended. Although, they were responsible after declining to offer the payment options we were told were available. On top of that, theres the issue of the extra thousand. At first when I asked why my original quote was less they claimed I mis-read the paper. After I aknowledged that I still have the paper and it has the price I was told. They proceeded to check their files and still stood firm that the quote never changed. Once I said I will bring my paper after work and compare, they looked again and said OH YEAH, well the REASON it IS DIFFERENT is because your specific insurance is wierd and theyve never worked with it before (renaissance). Then the dentist proceeded to tell my GF how theres so many if ands or buts in our coverage that they will never be able to give us a direct quote and its always subject to change last minute. On top of that, she revealed that, oh your insurance might not cover certain things so were charging you extra NOW so you dont have to be called and charged extra LATER. And if its less, we will refund you. I said Id rather pay minimum now and extra later, reason being, is because I trust that I will pay them over trusting that I will be reimbursed. She claimed to be confused and didnt understand my point. So with no option to pay half the amount as promised, and a suspicious extra thousand dollars applied last minute on the day of the appointment, the appointment was cancelled because they refused to fulfill a service that was offered and because they wouldnt accept cash after the dental services were performed. My mother and GF who were there said they saw a change in the doctors demeanor before she decided to apply the 150. Dont ever go here unless youre ok with paying an extra thousand last minute with a wishy washy excuse. I will be going to another dentist who is more honest and willing to work with other honest hard working people. I Tried calling to reverse the charge with this exact explanation and they declined and shifted topics as usual. So wells fargo is now taking care of it.
