Should have read the reviews before scheduling…Made an appointment for my 3 yo daughter online and when we arrived they said their policy was not to see children below 5 yo in the afternoons. I was there for my daughter‘a first dentist appointment with my 1 yo son. Don’t you think you could have updated your online scheduling system, or maybe change the appointment when calling to find out my insurance last week, or maybe leave a voicemail today or send a text. They wouldn’t even make an exception as we were already there 😡Definitely not getting my business!

Hi, unfortunately im super frustrated with the situation that im having with your staff.I have Delta USA insurance from Cotsco, i followed all the steps so that i get braces properly, i went to this location, they requested me to get cleared, which i did in the same location 2 doors down. Then they told me to wait for the authorization from my insurance, i thought it was fair. After waiting for weeks, i thought it was weird, then i called my insurance and they told me they never received any request. I obviously got frustrated but sometimes, weird things happen and life continues. So i called MAin Street to let them know and they sent the request again. Now few days later, my insurance tells me that my treatment wasnt authorized because they requested an authorization for Pediatric and not Orthodontist (i could be wrong about the words but basically they explained me that they requested a treatment for a child and as im an adult, my insurance didnt authorize. It makes sense i guess. I called Main street and LAura, if im not wrong, told me, oh the girl who sent the code made a mistake as the codes are very similar, she sent the wrong code. I thought, ok, at least we know what happened, now everything should be good. couple weeks later, here i am writing this message because my insurance denied again telling me they sent the same type of request. I mean, not funny at all and im not amused either. Now i call them every other day and they keep telling me that LAURA IS ON VACATION so that i have to wait for her to come back so that the situation gets fixed. And im thinking, im now 40 years old, am i going to have braces at some point or just give up the idea. And are they going to tell me they i need to be cleared again and spend 600 bucks more because my teeth arent good enough for the Orthodontist to be able to help me with the braces.

Im writing this review as I wait on hold after being disconnect twice, hold time so far over 10 mins. The front office is the most unprofessional unorganized team I have ever come across. Without giving you the back story examples let me share the most recent one. I received at text message on Friday 10/1 at 4:08 PM canceling my Monday 10/4 4:30 appointment for my 2 boys. The texted stated, unfortunately we are low on staff and wont be able to see you....give us a call or text us back with a time that works best for you.... SO I did immediately but heard nothing back. I finally called on Thursday 10/7 and was told the 1st availability would be 10/29...mind-you my boys or supposed to be adjusted monthly. The person on the phone wasnt sure if their manager was going to be back in the office but assured me she would call back the next day, Friday, 10/8....you heard from them like I did. So once again I called. today (yes they finally answered just shy of 12 minutes) and I have to now pull the boys out of school early to get them in tomorrow. The doctors are amazing & very caring but the team at the front desk just simply a mess.

I can’t believe I still deal with this facility. Not to mention im a cash customer who has to pay upfront with 3 children that comes to this facility. I’ve switched my entire family here and has been nothing but nightmares. I’ve been rescheduled 3 times with no prior notification email phone or txt arrive at the office only to find out the same story that they called when they didn’t. They are successful with getting through when it’s regarding billing. When ask for a manager she’s never there. I’ve complained put in call back request for manager nothing. I hate it here and hate I started my kids dental work at this facility‼️

Avoid this place at all costs!!! They are a SCHEDULING NIGHTMARE!!!! My daughter has been going to this practice since she was three and now for the last two years we have been coming for Orthodontics with Dr. Valencia. This is the FOURTH time I make an appointment a month in advance and I get a last minute text saying that my appointment needs to be rescheduled due to an emergency regarding the doctor. Then, when I call, if I get through, they have no appointments for another month and my daughters ortho work gets delayed, making little to no progress. I do not understand how a doctor can have an emergency every month. What is the point of scheduling an appointment a month in advance if it has to be rescheduled so often! this is beyond DISRESPECTFUL! They play with the patients time as if I had nothing else to do! But they do bill my insurance MONTHLY, even when my daughter is not seen by the Doctor that month! Unfortunately, Ive already paid the coinsurance portion of the treatment in FULL and can not go somewhere else, but I can not wait for her orthodontic work to be completed and take my business elsewhere!

My children go to main Street dental both for dental and orthodontics, I cannot recommend them higher! They make my children feel comfortable while treating them and making time in their schedule around my work.The doctors are amazing and so are the hygienists and office staff.

We adore Dr. Akerman and her staff! Dr. Akerman has seen my boys since they were toddlers and is warm, nurturing, and professional. The hygienists are always patient and attentive. We feel like family when were there. Dr. Valencia is wonderful! We value her professional opinion and are grateful to her staff for their patience.

Great experience with my two kids. Staff was very nice. Hygienist and dentist were both very friendly and patient. Calmed my nervous 5 year old and made our experience great overall

Terrible- money making machine. No personal attention- would not recommend it. Very crowded, little time spent with the doctor. They want to do X-ray before the 3 year old sees the doctor.

Very disappointed. My son went to Main Street Dentistry Aventura for cleaning. In less than 15 minutes they said he was done and they walked him to the waiting room where I was waiting for him (my son is 13)His teeth were visibly dirty. My son told me they just cleaned the bottom because the lady that was doing his cleaning had to leave (it was around 5 pm). I complained to Dr. Bula and he said I am sorry I did not see it. So that means he did not even check to see if my son had cavities. On top of that, they charged me $10 saying that it was because of COVID. That was an absurd because they did not even check our temperature.They do that because kids would not complain and they do not know.I will never go back there again.

Fantastic experience! It was our first time with my little one. Waiting time was short. Place was clean. Professionals were amazing. Lili explained everything to my child before she to started working. My child felt so comfortable and confident with her which helped a lot to wait for the Doctor. She made our visit a great experience. Thank you! 🙏🏻Update: we went for the 2nd time. Experience was great. Waiting time was very short. But have in consideration we got the 1-st app in the morning around 830am.Overall was great.!

I want to thank Sandor and Dr. Akerman for being so kind and amazing to my son Dylan. I really appreciate the patience and the willingness to not rush the process because my son was a little scared and nervous. Overall Dylan had a good experience and even says next time he’ll be brave. Also, I like to mention that Dr. Akerman was amazing at answering my questions and very knowledgeable at what she does. Thank you again! See you in 6 months.

Replied to their text to confirm appointment for 2:30 then they call me confirming for 2 and I have to correct them, sounded like they wanted to change my appointment time. Once I got there I waited over an hour for a 10 minute procedure.

The offices of Main Street Children’s have the best staff. Making an appointment is always easy and they always accommodate my children to the best of their abilities. Dr Ackerman always greet us with a smile, always so patient and caring. She is very professional in everything she does, even her advice when referring us to other specialists for different reasons and treatments has been TOP. My kids since very little, never felt nervous about going to see Dr Ackerman, their experience has been always a very good one, with wonderful results, and that’s why We keep and will keep coming to her office.

READ BEFORE YOU WILL VISIT THIS PLACE !!!Horrible front desk staff. i stop my daughter treatment and will not go again .I have been may be 5 times there and everytime they create a problem everytime . !!!Every time day say we change the rules .If the front desk staff have a problem that day means you will have problem.They asked you to pay first .Otherwise they dont let u in. Never seen in other doctor offices .DONT GO THERE DONT SPEND YOUR TIME IN THIS PLACE.They dont care any rule .There is no manager to talk ,They dont let u to talk with doctor.Its a dirty place and unprofessinal workers and poor managment.Even they dont check your temp.They think Covid cant go in ??They dont care your health .It doesnt mean if the dentist do her job and you can act to people like a dog.

Dr. Akerman is AMAZING. She is an excellent dentist, but more than that, she is caring, and so great with the little ones. She is also very honest and will work with the parents to find the best solution for the kids, if something is not quite right. Highly recommend her!

The dentists are great, however the staff is super rude, I made my daughter’s appointment with a month ago at 12pm, someone called to CONFIRM the appointment. We get there at 11:55 and they tell me her appointment was for 11:15 and she can not be seen because someone else is in a procedure and they don’t have another doctor and they are fully booked for the day. I once again said they confirmed the appointment we made at 12 and they said they had to change it because of covid. It’s common sense that when you are changing someone’s appointment you tell them we are CHANGING your appointment not we are CONFIRMING your appointment. My daughter has a cavity and the night before she was in pain so this appointment was very important. I’m very upset that now we have to look for another dentist and delay the procedure again

My son has been going to Main Street Dental since he was three years old. We have never had any issues with Dentist or Orthodontic, It is very disappointing as a parent and a long time patient to have someone during COVID 19 tell a parent that they must wait outside and allow them to treat your minor child. Today, as I walked into Ortho area I was told by Monica that parents stay outside as child is being treated. Im looking very surprised because each cubicle has a patient, an ortho assistant ,and a parent. Monica suddenly starts saying Mom you have to leave to waiting area. Dr. Garcia said to me, I do not have a problem with you staying mom. This woman placed wires, and bands in less than five minutes in my sons mouth. Said you can go now. I am still in shock. Dr. Garcia usually returns and reviews what has been done to patient. Not today. Monica very rudely and unprofessionally left. I want to say that lately the turnover in staff is also a concern. A lot of new faces more reason for parents to see what goes on in the area your child is being treated in. Personnel professionalism, hygiene and change of gloves should be in the best interest of all these COVID -19 days. TODAY NO STARS

My kids been going to the Aventura campus since 2009 and the staff are excellent. Dr. Ackerman is awesome and I would highly recommend main street dental in Aventura

My 3 daughters have been in this clinic since they were born, and I have no complaints, the doctors Akerman and Bula are patient and affectionate. All the workers are friendly. My eldest daughter started orthodontics recently and both doctor valencia and tc Ari are wonderful and patient, they always help me and explain everything. Yes, I would recommend this place.

My daughter has been going to this clinic for some years and I have no complaints! All the staff are wonderful, Dr. Akerman is wonderful and treats all children with great care and affection. Dr. Valencia is his orthodontic doctor and I have no complaints, she explains very well and does an impeccable job. I recommend this place to all my friends.

My sister has been going to them for a couple of years now , and we have always had excellent service. I had to take her this last appointment because my parents were working and from the moment you walk in you can tell they care about the safety of the patients and families and do all they can to provide the best service to all their patients during this difficult times. Dr. Bula is absolutely amazing. Clearly explained everything, incredible bedside manner, spoke to my son impressively well to keep him calm. My son needed extractions and crowns and even afterwards he is not scared to visit the dentist. Every parents dream!

I would definitely recommend Main St Dentistry Aventura to anyone. Excellent dental office! The whole staff was very helpful. The dentist’s diagnosis was geared to benefit my daughter and not about selling me unnecessary service.

Terrible unsafe place, the put 4 kids and staff in the same room, with like 10+ people in the same room, like there isn’t a wild virus out there...beside they will never release your records, shady tactics. They are very expensive, only because it’s Aventura, stay away and go to other dentists!

Don’t go to this place. The attention was horrible, one person of the staff was almost screaming at me through the phone and was very disrespectful. If you Do not speak English, please make sure to take someone that does, because as de lady said, they are not obligated to help a Spanish speaker because we are in the United stated. Make sure to read everything.

A friend of mine recommended this dental office for my child. I love the cleanliness, as well as the staff who interact on a one-to-one basis.Unfortunately, recently I have encountered a longer than normal wait (3-4 months) for Main Street to verify my childs dental insurance. I am highly disappointed. I have not been given a direct or honest answer regarding the delay, only that, We will call you before 5 (they never call), The insurance lady will verify today and let you know, Call back today around 4 P.M. and we should have an answer (I call back and still nothing)... and the run around continues, yet I am sitting here with well over $250 billing statement from them. This is a first and hopefully the last time this issue arises.

So strange clinic, they examined us, they accept the insurance, but they cant say the cost for a month already, I called them so many times, they said that there was nothing.Then I call again, they sad evething on my mail I call them back repeat my e- mail, nothing again so I found others, this is not normal call them all month and waist my time. Do not recommend this clinic who what to save time.

My children love the dentist at this location. However, their scheduling is a MESS! Weve had appointments rescheduled last minute without an actual phone call from anyone in the office. I received an appointment confirmation text during my busy work schedule and forgot to reply Yes and they automatically changed their appointments to an earlier time (WHICH MAKES NO SENSE!!) Im sitting in the office now at our appointed time 3:00pm and Im being told they rescheduled the appointment for 2:30 and we missed it! Now, we have to sit here and wait longer than normal, which is ridiculous! I will be looking for a new dentist.

The worst place to bring your kids.

Mainstreet Dentistry in Aventura is the worst and the most unprofessional dentist office Ive encountered thus far. My child has been a patient for over 5 years. Effective 2/2020, I decided to start the consultation process for my child to receive braces and oral surgery. Shortly after the fact I was told a treatment plan for the oral surgery and the braces will be provided to me. I called 2 or 3x inquiring of the status to both treatment plans. A month later, I received an informal text for the oral surgery treatment plan but no treatment plan for the braces. The text further indicated that appointments will not be scheduled until May due to COVID-19. Its now July and Im not only waiting for an appointment to start the oral surgery and braces process but, Im still waiting on the treatment plan for the braces. This is a total of 5 months later of nothingness. What reputable organization conduct business this way? They are an extremely unprofessional, incompetent, and rude bunch of people.I always say that everything happens for a reason. Instead of waiting and spending thousands of $ for poor service. I decided to change dentist, orthodontist, and oral surgeon offices.Might I say this was the BEST decision ever. My only regret is not doing it sooner. Once the quarantine got lifted. Within a month my child successfully completed the oral surgery and received the braces.If I was not proactive I would be in the beginning stages - still waiting for Main Street to get their act together.I would never recommend Main Street- Aventura to anyone. Be aware that their turnover in staff is also a big problem! If I could give a 0 in rating I would. They do not deserve a 1... Thank the system for that!

Dr.Phil is amazing. He was like an angel sent to the office. We were seeing a different Orthodontist and had not seen any to no results . Dr. Phil came into the office and in a year and half we saw a complete transformation in my sons mouth. He’s professional, he definitely knows his stuff and is just simply brilliant. You can’t get braces done by any Orthodontist but Dr. Phil is absolutely who you want to see for braces. I just can’t rave on enough about his work. To me an Orthodontist is much like an artist sculpting a patients mouth to look a certain way and he for sure created art work with my sons teeth . I’m very pleased with the final. His staff is very friendly they became sort of like family to us. Always happy to help and very knowledgeable you just can’t go wrong here.

STAY AWAY AT ALL COST!Not clean place, SCARY!They will never release your medical records, and will rip you off as much as they can.Also tons of people in the same room, they haven’t heard the term “social distancing” and hygiene.

The billing department is absolutely ridiculous. They have lost the business of my entire family (5ppl twice yearly cleanings plus other issues) due to a very small fee they refused to take off my bill. My cc was stolen and they charged me a fee for their monthly charge being declined. When I explained that my cc was stolen they said too bad we are not taking the late fee off. So they lost my business for a $20 fee. Unbelievable.

My daughter has been going to Mainstream dentistry since she was 3. It is very clean, well mannered staff but my favorite person is the dentist hygienist Sander...hes so cute & awesome!!!

Our experience at Main Street Childrens Dentistry was great! Today, was our 1st visit to this office and I can say we will look no further. I took both of my daughters in for a checkup and cleaning. One of my daughters has a cavity and Dr. Levin was extremely helpful and laid out all my options for her treatment. The staff at the office were all very friendly and seemed to genuinely love children. I highly recommend this office!

My girls have been going to Main Street Children’s Dentistry for a couple of years. Dr. Matamoros is amazing, I even started treatment with her because I love the work she did to my daughter. Now my husband, mom, and friends come here. I absolutely love the staff. Claudia is amazing!!! AMAZING and Mary goes above and beyond. I couldn’t be happier.

The staff of this office very rude, I called for help and the lady who answered me, prefer to hang up the phone than to help a new client, then i called again to request the name of the person who hung up on me and the supervisor Ari said she could not give me the name of the employee, but she did not ask me to help me with my need and they preferred to lose a new client, if this is the case for an appointment I do not want to imagine how the treatment will be for minors, bad attention, I do not recommend it

My experience at Main Street Children’s Dentistry was phenomenal. Dr.Phil as well as the staff were so helpful and professional. I went into the office with a terrible smile that made me feel so self conscious to the point that I had stopped smiling completely.When my treatment ended my smile was so beautiful.I smile all of the time now.My teeth are healthy and straight and my friends and family compliment me all of the time.They truly make miracles happen.

Good dentist. The front door staff are clean and operative, her dentist associate seemed a bit rushed for the most part, office is appreciated.

They seem to change doctors frequently. Not a good sign and cant get to establish any kind of relationship.

This has been my go-to dentist for my daughter, since her first visit at about 3 years of age. The staff speaks to their customers...the children. They explain whats going on, what theyre going to have done and really go out of their way to put them at ease... which puts MOMS at ease! Dr. Ackerman is the same way. She has a gentle, easygoing and patient nature. We love this place!

Great Customer Service. My first time here with my daughter they treated us as family with well welcomes. The front desk staff was great, Tamera was the tech the tended to my daughter she was awesome from the minute she took us back and Dr Levin was great as as well, she explained everything and took very good care of my daughter. I came in as a very nervous and cranky mommy as my five year old had a very bad fall at school, not only did the staff take precious care of my daughter and made sure she was okay, did her X-rays, saw the doctor quickly, super friendly, had her giggling - even with a very sore mouth and dental trauma. They calmed me down as well. Staff is so wonderful here. Love the doctors, hygienists, check out and front office staff- they all truly go out of their way to be professional, quick and responsive and caring. Will continue to spread the good word about this practice. Thank you so very much.

Our first experience was more than we could ever ask for. The entire process has been so organized and smooth, for an on the go dad like me, juggling three kids to a dentist appointment isnt always the easiest but Dr. Levin and her staff are always well prepared. My child was very hesitant and frightened at first but the assistants really knew how to calm her down. Abraham and Jocelyn at the front desk are amazing help as well. They went over my insurance benefits and took there time with me helping understand it all. Abraham went out of his way to help me find the perfect appointment time. All in all, main street in Aventura has been my kids family dentist for over 6 years now and I dont plan on changing anytime soon !!!!!

The orthodontist at this location, Dr. Phil is amazing! So passionate about what he does and motivated to get it right! My daughters teeth are beautiful after treatment received. The dentist, Dr. Ackerman is also so great and pleasant! Wonderful work! The reception can be a bit ditzy but it is well worth it for the quality of work!

Not only Dr. Ackerman is amazing with handling our child with regular visits but has always been available for emergencies as well. She and all assistants guide, handle.and support overall visits with much care and love. It is a family oriented office who take care of your child as if it was their own. God bless all there.

Exceptional service!!! My youngest son was really scared going into the appointment and the staff had so much patience and care for him. They really took their time with both of my kids, by the end of the appointment they didn’t want to leave. Dr. Ackerman is fantastic- knowledgeable, caring and professional. Be prepared to wait at least 2 hours if “lucky” to be seen even (if you have an appointment). What is the point of having appointments then? I went with my kids more than 4 times and every single time was the same until last time I just couldn’t wait anymore. It as whole day waisted and no body really cares. When inquiring about when the doctor will be able to see my kids, the dental assistants or front desks personal will just send you back and forth to ak somebody else because they don’t know or they will just say: once the doctor finishes with this patient she will go to you, and we don’t know how long will that be. And then you see 4 patients in each of the 4 rooms they have all seating down waiting for the 1 or 2 doctors they have? It’s just not the way to do business specially having kids waiting for such a long time. I regret believing the good reviews, and I really prefer a doctor that can care more about his/her patients, and not just charge your insurance. They just make you come multiples times to fix a 1 visit issue, and make you wait so that they can charge pier each.

Highly recommend this place for taking your kids!! I took my son (1 year old) and it went so much better than I could have ever expected. The waiting room has a table with games for kids so he could amuse himself while I filled out the paperwork. The dental hygienist took us quickly. They have TVs to distract the toddlers/kids while they do their check up, which really helped keep my son still. Then Dr Levin came and she was outstanding. She managed to do her full check while keeping my son still!! She showed me some tricks for how to brush his teeth (Im a first time mom so this was really helpful for me). We got a goody bag with a toddler toothbrush and other things, and my son left a really happy camper. Also, in one of those crazy moments where you leave the house without diapers, Main Street came to the rescue! My son had pooped and I didnt have another diaper. The staff ran around to other staff members and helped get me a diaper and wipes to change him! They were really nice and helpful. The place was exceptionally clean. I really cant say enough nice things.

The staff is wonderful! They treat me and my children like family! Dr. Shelly is super sweet and knowledgeable! The waiting time is great! The service is great!! I will recommend main street to everyone!!

Tamara and Dr. Levin were great! Took the time to explain everything that was going on with my daughter’s teeth, clearly and recommened the best treatment and best options. Very professional and very nice with the kids. Highly recommend this location, the Dentists and all their staff!

Diadenis is so patience, wonderful & professional. She did an amazing job on my 2 boys teeth cleaning. She left them brand new! She has more than 13 years of exp so you know that your child is in good hands.👍😄

Super caring staff! Dr. Akerman, Dr. Matamoros and Angie are great. Angie was amazing explaining each procedure in detail so my daughter would not be nervous. They make every visit more enjoyable. 😊😊

I wish i could give this place 0 stars. extremely unorganized and unprofessional, they reschedule multiple of our appointments at the last minute, more than a handful of times. no one knows what’s going on or what they’re doing, i’ve never seen anything like it. i showed up today for my sons appointment which was supposed to be a filling, they had him scheduled for a cleaning (he had just had a cleaning less than a week prior when we scheduled the appointment for the filling) and then proceeded to wait over an hour to tell us that they weren’t gonna be able to see us AGAIN because the specific dr wasn’t there AGAIN.. don’t waste your time going here because they can’t even get an appointment right and we’re supposed to trust them with our children’s teeth. a joke.

Worst dentist me and my Sister went for our braces here horrible ... it suspicious that there orthodontics are always leaving my sister orthodontics left lucky for her he told her where he was going to she left this place with him my orthodontics left before i could even ask 😪 they over charged my sister she payed attention because her orthodontist showed her the mistake and it took the longest for them to give her the money back smh a fraud now the young lady gave me a print out of my pay out o called back after a month the amount change DO NOT GO HERE after i remove my braces i am gone and driving an hour drive to my sister orthodontics that left this place 🙄 never again in my life

We take our daughters to the Aventura office. The stuff is always super friendly and work well around our schedule. Our girls like it as much as you can like going to the dentist, their experience is great.

First time bringing my kids to this place and we are extremely satisfied with the care. Dr. Akerman & Marlene were very patient, knowledgeable and made the experience enjoyable for our kids and us (parents). Will definitely come back and highly recommend this place.

My children have been going to see Dr. Ackerman for many years now, 3 kids age ranges from 10-17, and I absolutely love her and the staff. My 16 year old was a patient for Dr. Vargas when she was 12 and he was ABSOLUTELY wonderful!! (very sad he is no longer seeing new patients as my 10 year old really needs him) Love Main Street Dentistry and Orthodontics...... 5 stars and 10 thumbs up!!!!

I had my braces done there when I was 40. Yes 40. The office is modern looking, ample spaces and though is shared with childrens dentistry it was still inviting for adults..... treatment, care and overall experience was outstanding.
