I am so thankful to have been referred to my new PCP Dr. Andrew Walters, he and his staff are just so friendly and helpful. I look forward to a long-lasting relationship with this office! Dr. Walters gave me suggestions and options for my care and even called in my prescription before I even had a chance to leave the parking lot!

In the last two years, the Austin Regional Clinic has become infamous for their scheduling system: you have to wait 30 - 45 minutes on hold to make an appointment. No, this has nothing to do with Covid. The doctors Ive used are excellent, and they also acknowledge that the appointment system is terrible.

Not sure why theyre getting such negative reviews. Yes, it is a popular spot that accepts most insurance, so there will be a wait at times. But the staff there has always been kind and courteous, and the doctors have never steered me wrong. Id hate to see some of these other reviewers in a line at HEB. If your only problem is too many people go there, thats not really a reason for a 1 star review. If anything, it speaks to their willingness to accept new patients and reliability.

ARC has delays and holds, but Beverly (nurse) was very helpful in cutting through the red tape and resolve an insurance requirement. Very quickly and methodically. When patients finally connect with medical professionals - things start to happen. Its the other stuff thats fairly disorganized - and of course thats not acceptable.

Due to Hurricane Ida, not only have I been displaced, but my home was destroyed. I evacuated here to Austin, to be treated incredibly horrible at this place. I had knee surgery and was due for a check up, this was the closet place I could find in proximity to my hotel and that would take me quickly. I was seen by Dr. Leah J. Treadwell, who was beyond unbelievably unprofessional, rude, and just down right incompetent. I was told I was addicted to pain medication but that I didn’t know it because my pain is chronic and that my doctor’s back in LA should have had me signed a contract (never in my life had to do that). Then, she told me that it was my problem that I had to get my prescriptions transferred to TX. To top it off, she then insulted my entire state by saying that everyone knew that the hurricane would be that bad (as if she is a meteorologist) and we should know better and been prepared. We were prepared the best we could be with a 48 hour notice. Then, she said that we should be used to having to rebuild since I live in LA. There was a reason they could take me quickly….. look at the reviews. Disgusting place with disgusting people. Never in my life have I been treated so disgustingly. DO NOT GO HERE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I like my primary care physician, but (like the others). expect to hold > 30 minutes to maybe get to speak someone (note - not a specialist - just anyone). If you try to book online - good luck as you may or may not get what you want and will likely have to provide the same information multiple times. very aggravating. Really gone downhill in the past several years.

I am a pharmacist. Ive been on hold for over 20 minutes now trying to reach a nurse about an incorrect prescription that was sent in for a pediatric patient. They do not answer the phones here and they do not respond to faxes. I am not sure how they get anything done but whenever I can I encourage my patients to go to a different doctors office. Austin Regional Clinic is the worst.

Tried to get an appointment today or anytime soon for my son and the lady tried to send me to their Fort Worth location…. I’ve never ran into this problem of not being able to get anything or they offer a call back if there is a cancellation but she didn’t even offer that she just said she was going to see what’s available in their Fort Worth location at that point I rather go to the hospital! I’m in San Marcos I’m not driving all the way just for a doctor appointment what a joke!!!

DO NOT GO HERE. Waited for hours to see the doctor for literally 5 min. Then the office coded it as an in office procedure that cost me nearly $500 AFTER insurance. They have so far REFUSED to change how it is coded and I am a couple months deep in to an appeal with my insurance company. Actual scam artists.

Clean and professional but they didn’t tell me there is convenience fee for Saturday appointment. I don’t mind to pay what I am supposed to pay but I feel so bad if someone try to steal my hard earned money. I didn’t ask Saturday and was flexible on days. They didn’t say anything at the time of setting appointment. Stealing/ lying is ARC norms.

Staff were professional and the facility was clean, at least when I went. Also want to give credit to the fact that the medicine I was prescribed helped my issue. My complaint comes from the prices.Went to see the dermatologist who looked at me for about twenty seconds, diagnosed my issue and wrote me a prescription. Entire time in the examination room with the doctor lasted maybe five minutes. No blood tests done, no medical equipment used.Got a bill about two weeks later and they have the gall to charge me almost $300 for that, $60 of which was paid by insurance. If you have to go here, make absolutely sure you ask them what they will be charging you. If they cant or wont answer, walk out.

My son recently saw Dr. Angelle Oliver for a high fever and headache - we tested for the norm (strep, flu) and then waited for his symptoms to improve. After a few days, his fever persisted and new symptoms kept popping up. We were sent to the ER to check for meningitis, but the ER doc said it wasnt that and sent us home after some IV fluids. The next day after leaving the ER, I called Dr. Oliver back and she review the ER labs then sent us to Dell suspecting MIS-C, and inflammation response associated with post-Covid-19 in young children. Sure enough, that is what he had and he was admitted immediately into Dell Childrens Hospital. Because MIS-C is associated with blood clots and heart damage it is a serious disease that needs early identification and treatment. We are still here at Dell and he is being treated by many specialists, but is doing so much better. His infectious disease specialist is so impressed that Dr. Oliver has identified MIS-C, even after the ER doc has missed it, because it is such a new condition with various presentations. I am so grateful to Dr. Oliver - without her diagnosis, we might still be trying to figure things out as his organs were being more and more damaged. I will forever be grateful for the time she took to review all his labs from other providers and to think about the storyline of his symptoms in order to put it all together.

Like others, I like the doctor, but good luck calling in or doing anything online. They keep supposedly sending me some link via email to setup a MyChart but it never shows.Calling in now takes a minimum of 45 minutes on hold (literally... every. single. time.). At least half the time after holding that long it will ring then click like someone is answering then it hangs up. This is infuriating

Facility was clean, if somewhat old. Unfortunately the staff werent particularly friendly and seemed only concerned with churning through patients as fast as possible. Phlebotomist was the only one making conversation and that was only when he was actively taking blood.Doctor also breezed through what was supposed to be a routine physical in under 10 minutes. IMO he skipped parts of the exam that have been SOP for previous GPs. Very little conversation around lifestyle or mental health, literally just the basics.I will not be returning to ARC for my internal medicine needs.

I had to call my little sister, Emilia M., works for ARC/James Casey location to tell her about my vaccine shot experience. Since I’m a teacher and was eligible for the Covid vaccine, she gave me information that this ARC location would have this site administering the doses/shots. As a new patient, my appointment was on a Friday morning and when I arrived, I could just feel the high energy emitting from the site. Everybody at the site were all courteous. Every part of this event was well in place and administering of the vaccines were well done. Including my 15 minutes of waiting for any reactions from the vaccine, it took the most of less than 20 minutes to get my vaccine. In learning that ARC would be administering the vaccines, they had a short window to get the site/staff ready to serve all the guests that would be arriving and they pulled it off well. Hell, it even almost brought a tear to my eye of how everything was being handled so smoothly. From the intake person all the way down to the person giving me my Q&A leaflets as I was leaving, it was like worker ants working in unison. So to all the ARC staff who were at this location, WELL DONE!!

Went in for a yearly physical was told anything other than what a yearly physical entails would be charged extra they do not have a list of what they consider extra insurance paid for the physical doctor charge me an additional $110 for giving me a referral for a sonogram that was already on my chart as a possible problem if you want to be nickeled and dime to go to the slaughter and Manchac location . Tried to call up and get this resolved and they told me because I signed a waiver they couldn’t help me when I asked why they didn’t put down what would be covered on a physical and what would notthey said they just have to see what your insurance covers I guess it’s their way of getting around you .can’t go in for a physical and discuss what’s going on with your health anymore unless you want to have charges added on

I would not recommend going here to anyone that is in need of care. Doctors are not willing to take the time to actually figure out anything pertaining to what you are feeling or experiencing what’s so ever. The solution is not to prescribe a 27 year old man Prozac for having issues with sleep. Also if you are going to be paying 200 dollars out of pocket its expected that a doctor spends more than just 15 minutes with you not just try to prescribe some weird drug with very ill side effects. This place is lower than low

My primary care physician at ARC is awesome but unfortunately part time so its hard to get an appointment. I waited for at least 15 minutes to schedule an appointment with a doctor that Ive previously seen a couple years ago only to find out she didnt have any availability for another month so I chose the first available doctor. After that the receptionist transferred me to another department to verify my insurance I guess and the lady put me on a silent hold for several minutes only to get cut off, but she doesnt call me back although she had my contact info on file. So I made another appointment at another non associated clinic because I was so frustrated. So then I call ARC back to cancel my appointment for fear that they may charge me a no show fee. I then waited another 18 minutes to get someone on the line and tell her why I was cancelling and told her that I was done with their office and she hung up on me. No apologies for my bad experience.

Just had to spend 24 minutes on hold to cancel an appointment. I like my PCP, but it’s almost impossible to get through to him. Calls are routed through a central number and wait times are ridiculous. I don’t want to change providers, but my time is valuable too. I hope they get their act together.

Do not recommend. I scheduled for an annual wellness check which is 100% covered by my health insurance plan. 3 weeks later I get a $192 bill from ARC. After contacting my insurance provider they advised me that the doctor/ARC had billed for 6 different issues over and above the annual wellness check. Which surprised me because other than the basics like taking my BP, listening to my heart/breathing and looking in my eyes and ears they did nothing else. God forbid you mention any other concerns that you have during your annual wellness check because apparently those things end up being not covered and are treated as separate and billable issues. (of course they dont tell you this ahead of time because if I had known I would have kept my mouth shut). They also just go to town and do as much as they can that they know will be covered. They gave me a flu shot and also the first dose of the shot for the shingles vaccine even though I did not request them prior to my appointment, and when I asked about charges just before he was about to give it to me the shots, I specifically stated that I did not want to be charged for things, his response was yeah we want to get all the free stuff out of the way. So I walked in got my annual wellness check (a flu and shingles shot I didnt ask for since I normally just get it at CVS or Walgreens) and because I mentioned that I have had slightly higher than normal blood pressure (along with a couple of other minor things in passing that arent even urgent or a big deal) and bang! you get prescription for a BP medication and a $200 bill. They wonder why the health care industry is such a mess. This is exactly why. Had they advised me ahead of time that I was going to be charged for things I would have at least been aware of it or had the option to decline whatever examinations or treatments they wanted to bill me for. How do these companies get away with billing for services after the fact? Not Happy at all with their services and have not had issues like this with other health care facilities I have dealt with in the last 10 years. I will not be going back!!

I think the doctor is under a lot of pressure to hurry, thats my benefit of a doubt. But really! I had a major health event 4 years ago, they never asked about that, and they dont even know my occupation. The doc did have the time to disagree with a diagnosis from my last doc without having any documentation.I went in for a new patient apt. with an internal medicine doc who would organize the various specialities I need to see. What a waste of time. She cut me off mid-sentence multiple times. Are they set up to only have time for a young person with no medical history? They advertise service as the Medicare well care. ha.
