I’ve had several massages from here and I can say with no exaggeration that I’ve been floored by their effectiveness every single time. It’s almost like I tell myself that I must have “built it up” in my memory to have felt so wonderful- nothing can be so magically relaxing, it’s just a massage, right?!?Then I get another one and BAM! I’m jelly. …like, it takes me a second to even speak again.The therapist will say they’re leaving the room and for you to take your time getting off the table and I’m glad there’s no one around because I imagine I’m moving like a hundred and thirteen year old man trying to roll/slide myself onto the ground. -in a totally good way— In a totally amazing way!The therapist is very professional and attentive, very good about checking that you feel like they’re working in the right areas with the right amount of pressure.I can’t say enough good stuff about the place. :)If you’re considering a massage or spa treatment, do it. Treat yourself! (Or someone else) it’ll be amazing.

She listened to my concerns and was very gentle in her communication. I had different options and we talked about what would be best. Then the massage was thorough and relaxing, which is what I needed the most. Great clinician! I recommend!

This massage therapist has given me very good massages in the past at another location. If I were nearby, Id be happy to use her services again. (And leave a big tip)

I first got a massage from Erin several years ago and though I’m out of the area I make sure to book a session any chance I get! The massage itself is excellent but Erin also takes great care to ensure a comfortable, relaxing, and personalized experience. Over the years I’ve seen a commitment to continuous development of her skill and her business. Highly recommend!

Update:There was a huge lack of communication when I was on my way. Erin admitted she was wrong in her voicemail then became unresponsive which was again, poor communication and lead to more frustration on my end. I do not feel it’s fair that my deposit won’t be refunded because of all the circumstances. This has now just made more work for myself by having to write a review to receive a response and contact my bank.I do not feel my email was threatening. I just wanted to come to a resolution. Why would I still want to bring my business to her after all this chaos? If she simply would have refunded my deposit I would have tried with her again in the future, which was mentioned in my “threatening email.”My appt was originally for Sat. @ 330 PM. Erin texted me and asked if I could come in later or tomorrow, Sunday. I had no issue moving my appt. to Sun. after work @ 5 PM so a 530-545 PM. At 455 PM she asked if 6 or 630 PM would work and I said that I was on my way from work and would be there around 530 PM. She said she would “hustle” to finish setting up. At this point I felt she was unprepared to do the massage and the situation felt stressed. This is not how I want to go into a massage session. She said she would not refund my deposit because the cancellation was not in the 6 hr window which is her policy and now has become unresponsive. I feel like I was scammed and am very disappointed and in disbelief a place of holistic healing would treat a 1st time client or any client for that matter.

I was having some hip issues when I reached out to Erin and she worked me in to her schedule immediately. I could hardly walk before my appointment. Erin took the time to really work with me and by the end of our session, I had movement again in my hip! I felt SO much better. Highly recommend!

The best massage Ive ever had. The intake process is very thorough to ensure you get the experience you want. The facilities are clean, tastefully decorated, and the oil, sheets, and other supplies are top-notch.

What an amazing experience!! I felt all the stress and tension leave my body during my massage and felt so relaxed.Dont know how else to explain but i really felt right the next day. I feel that Erin is a level above any other massage Ive ever had and that shes a true master of the art of massage. Looking forward to my next one!

This was my first time visiting recommended from my coworker. Erin has a personality that is similar to my own realms of interest and that’s an element I didn’t really realize was missing from my first experience in order for me to be completely at ease and trust another human while I’m in a rather vulnerable state. I really appreciate the sensory experience that she sets up with her massage, really creating a jungle/spiritual/meditative journey. She really listened to me when I told her the parts of my body and hold the most stress for me and really paid extra care to those areas. She constantly checks in with her pressure and you making sure you are comfortable and okay. I definitely intend to visit again!

Erin was an absolute pro at making me feel comfortable and asking me about my preferences. I love the spa itself; theres a level of thought and dedication that went into the design that is truly unparalleled. I have a regular massage therapist back in Illinois, but came here while visiting family. I wish I could bring Erin back with me!!! I felt lighter afterwards, and more centered for the next few days. That was especially helpful while traveling with kids LOL. The price is fair and probably shes undercharging for the services and overall ambience, just saying. All in all, my experience at The Monkey Spa was akin to a religious experience; I felt physically, mentally, and emotionally retuned afterwards. Will definitely be back!
