This place is just okay. I’ve been coming here for close to a decade, and continue to come out of convenience. It is fine for skin cancer screenings, but if you want a doctor/provider who is going to spend time and speak with you- then this place isn’t for you. I came yesterday for acne extraction and the PA quite literally ran out of the door saying “sorry, she was out of time and had to go” and did not answer any questions. She wrote a script for a diuretic which was alarming in and of itself… most people would want to speak on it more before messing with their cardiovascular system. I’ve experienced this dismissive behavior before, in the past, from Dr. Abbott as well. The entire clinical staff could benefit from improving their beside manner and not be in such a rush to swipe insurance cards. We are human beings and not just numbers. So disappointing.

This type of practice had me skeptical. However out of convenience I gave them a chance and really wanted to love this office!It started out ok, the ladies up front have been professional and interpersonal every time I visited and I was thankful that a skin issue was addressed.From there, everything else is questionable.Short version, their communication is horrible! From prescription filling and the lack of clarity/communication during visits. I felt rushed and could barely get a question in without them rushing out of the door.I specifically told the PA that I did NOT want a particular procedure if it was extra, she proceeded to check and never provided an update. The doctor completed the procedure and then charged me. I paid the fee knowing I CLEARLY stated I would forgo that treatment if it was not included. However, I dont plan to ever return to this practice again....This spot may be ok for the basics, just dont have high expectations.

I was skeptical at first because the practice is small, sparsely decorated, and dimly lit. However, I was pleasantly surprised. I had a horrible experience at a nearby dermatology practice on Howell Mill Rd, and was planning never to go back to a dermatologist again but I was treated respectfully here and my concerns were listened to. I was able to get relief from scar pain that I had lived with for over a year. Life changing!

I would not go to this place. They did not fill my prescription when the nurse told me she did. She just lied about it. I asked her twice. She said she did. So then I had to ask again when I found out it was never sent to the pharmacy. But they only accept text and will not answer calls. So after texting back and forth, it was finally sent but it was a wrong prescription. I cannot believe how horrible this experience was.

This is my first Google review ever just because I was so irritated at the principle of this interaction. Terrible experience here, sadly. Was told the cost of copay would be 68 without insurance for a first time visit.Was seen for maybe ten minutes max, Dr looked at my skin for a few seconds and seen uninterested in what I had to say. I felt rushed, and expendable.They told me at the counter my visit would be 140.I said this needs to be fixed. I’m not paying for something I wasn’t quoted, this is why I went here. I can’t afford it. They agreed to just let me pay the 68 dollars I was quoted, I felt ripped off still thoughShe wrote me a prescription and I paid 60 dollars for it— it didn’t work. Made my acne worse.I was hit later with a charge of 32 dollars for that first visit due to further miscommunication.Girls at the front desk were sweet, the nurse too. Seemed like the doctor I saw was cold and it was way overpriced.Would never come here again. Take your business elsewhere if you can

Im so glad I decided to go to Dermatology Affiliates in Midtown because everyone was so kind and welcoming! Not only that, everyone, the receptionists at check-in, nurse, and doctor (Abbott) did their jobs thoroughly and were happy to help me with anything and everything! I like to ask a lot of questions when I see doctors, and Dr. Abbott and Ariana were certain I left with all of my questions answered. I was happy to see too, that the office was very strict about their COVID-19 protocol, even when some patients pushed back in the waiting area. I am thrilled to have found such a great practice on my first go around and will be recommending Dr. Abbott/Dermatology Affiliates to friends and colleagues!

Did not provide good care - did not listen to me as a patient or provide any helpful guidance

I felt that I was in capable and experienced hands with regard to my condition. Dr. Abbott and her assistant showed care and concern towards me as a patient offering a thorough explanation with regard to prescribed medications and anticipated results.Front desk Staff was pleasant and welcoming. COVID-19 care was meticulously observed at all applicable points.

Rude waste of time. New patient; new to Atlanta - was having trouble finding the office/parking. I called the office a couple times to let them know I was running late but no answer. I arrive 12 minutes late and the snobby front desk clerks roll their eyes saying they need to check with the provider, Dr. Abbott. After waiting 15 minutes, I’m told The doctor won’t see me.I must have filled out 20 forms for pre-registration, not a single one for new patients gave any sort of helpful information about getting there. Total BS - wouldn’t recommend.

I wasn’t able to have an experience because once I arrived I was told I couldn’t have my daughter with me and the lady at the front desk asked if my 9yr could sit In a hot car!!!!! No one told me about not being able to bring a “guest” which is really my 9 year old child!!! Wasted my time.... I they kept apologizing but they mind you there were still on the clock... me, I clocked out and made it to my appointment 20 mins, oh and fought thru traffic ahead of time just for them to tell me I need to rescheduleI will not and I will never recommend a human being to you’ll

This was my first visit with dermatology affiliates & it was a wonderful experience! Dr. Abbott was quick to see me, very thorough with the examination & was very knowledgeable! I highly recommend this office because everyone was ( the front office/nurses) extremely helpful & kind!

From the moment you walk in the door, the staff are wonderful and welcoming. They have everything running efficiently in terms of COVID protocols and getting your appointment started in a timely manner. The PAs and doctors are also lovely and knowledgeable, while still asking for your input and understanding along the way.

Ive seen Dr. Abbott for years and highly recommend her. From ontime appointments to a thoughtful, personal level of care, she and her team do an outstanding job. Ive also done an office visit during COVID times and am pleased and calmed by their safety protocols.

I live in the suburbs, but Dr. Abbott is worth the drive into Atlanta. She is always pleasant, and does a great job. My whole family is using her now.

They are taking COVID requirements seriously. I felt very safe at this location and it was very clean and clear about the rules and measures in place. Staff is always friendly and knowledgeable. This location is easy to get in and out of the parking lot, is easy to find, and service was very fast. They reminded me about my appointed in advance and a fees days prior with info about how to change or cancel my appointment if needed, which I thought was very useful.

Would not trust them with anything more than simple cosmetics. I came in a little over a year ago for some spots on my arm and figured Id ask about my acne as well. seeing a new dermatologist, being left with permanent severe scaring, and spending a year using tik tok as a way to find how to best treat my acne I realize more and more how ripped off I was here. Im pretty sure I saw Dr. Reed but cant be 100% sure. My charts definitely werent read before my appointments as I have a significant latex allergy and my provider tried to use latex gloves. Before being within 3 feet of me the spots on my arm were diagnosed as bed bug bites which hey Id recently been in a hotel and this place had great reviews so I didnt think much of a quick diagnosis. For my acne it was recommended I try oral hormone medication, I expressed my discomfort as Im on antidepressants that are hormone based and was told theyd have 0 effect on that without even asking what I was on. I still refused the medication because I didnt want to risk it, I was then prescribed topical treatments that can only exclusively be mail delivered from a specific provider but my insurer will not cover mail order prescriptions and once again I was told that due to the product it wouldnt be a problem. That was also wrong $$$$$. I left with samples of the mail order stuff and a script to help ease discomfort of bed bug bites and was told after treatment for 2 weeks if the spots werent gone to return. I called a week later complaining of the spots being significantly worse/so painful my arm couldnt touch my side and was scheduled 2 weeks out. Upon entering the room I had to remind my provider AGAIN of my latex allergy, then when she looked at my arm she literally laughed out loud and said oh this is clearly a staph infection that medication probably made it a lot worse huh. Despite her confidence (again) iwas casually told that if this cream didnt work in 2 weeks to return for a biopsy out of possible concern it was lymphoma.i asked if we could do it sooner as my grandmother had very recently died of lymphoma and was told to wait the few weeks with 0 concern in her voice. Treatment for a staph infection did work but I now have extremely large, deep, and discolored scars. I managed to correct the color some but you couldnt pay me to let them practice within 6 feet of my skin again.

Good communication. I like the follow-up planned. Great measures to protect from coronavirus--the reason I changed from previous dermatologist.

Great service from Dr. Abbott and the team. Highly recommend. Easy parking and easy entrance with no elevator. It is also obvious that Dermatology Affiliates takes great care in providing a safe environment during the time of COVID.

I went to see Dr. Abbott for acne. She was not only extremely late (I came during my lunch break and was in a hurry myself, and made sure to arrive on time), but when she did finally get to see me, just barely looked at me, prescribed something to me without explaining what it was, what it was for, how to use it or the side affects. She was rushing to get through my appt and literally had her body halfway out the door as I tried to ask questions. She couldnt have seemed more disinterested in speaking with me if she tried, and I wasnt trying to be chatty or annoying, I simply wanted to understand her diagnosis and what she was prescribing me. I had to figure that out on my own and have been suffering from horrible side effects and peeling.I will never come back here

Was scheduled for a skin cancer evaluation. I arrived with insurance which pays 100%, ID and new HSA card. Because the HSA card had not fun not completed funding and they require a new patient fee of $67.ish the just canceled my appointment instead of just charging the card on the next of multiple appointments. They would rather have $67.ish then a new multi appointment client. So they obviously dont care about client health care over profit. I am so disappointed and disgusted. Now my Melanoma that I have been so worried about has to wait until I find a new Dermatology practice. Any referral would be greatly appreciated.

I could not have had a smoother or lower stress visit to the dermatologist than I did today thanks to Dr. Abbott and her team. Despite not having been to the dermatologist in over 14 years, Dr. Abbott immediately put me at ease with her compassionate, patient-centric bedside manner. She was extremely thorough in her exam while all the while keeping my mind elsewhere as she engaged me in conversation and sought to learn more about me. When it came time for her to remove a mole, the whole procedure was done before I even realized what was happening - she and Lauren, her medical assistant made the whole process completely painless and stress-free. I read her many glowing reviews prior to scheduling my visit and thought they sounded a little too good to be true but after seeing her myself for the first time today, I can say firsthand that they are not!

I had a great experience! They had a wonderful, safe process in place for Covid and everyone was so nice! 10/10 would recommend to anyone needing a dermatologist in Atlanta.

Dr Forney and the staff at Dermatology Affiliates provide an extremely safe environment for office visits in these difficult times. Dr Forney is thorough and caring. I highly recommend her and her staff.

Ive had positive experiences here and have been multiple times. The staff is super friendly and professional. They offer an acne surgery (I think of it more like an acne facial) where an estetician goes through and removes all acne from your face and does a deep clean. Thats been cool. The doctors are very, very efficient when doing visits, so its a plus if you want to be in and out quickly, but can be a con if youre looking for a more slowed down, chit-chatty experience. The photo Im attaching is of the zen-like waterfall you look at while having the acne surgery.

I believe this office and my dermatologist are incredible. Although they have a very busy practice they are professional enough to manage their scheduling so you are never waiting extensively. The office has been exceptionally flexible if I need to be seen on an urgent basis. Most importantly, Dr. Abbott is amazing.

Wanted to make a appointment to see if they could do anything about my acne but instead the lady on the phone was acting as if she was having a side conversation with someone else & didn’t listen to anything I said . I was confused of why she was acting this way when she is the one that’s suppose to help ME . After asking her if she could hear me , she said yes & giggled a little bit as if something I said was funny .. , after being put on hold somebody finally answered the phone & hung up which was very rude & disrespectful . I called back & no one answered . If you are a patient in need of a dermatologist, don’t waste your time here !

I did not like my experience. Very unprofessional. I was referred by my coworker. I’m a nurse and I know what proper care is like. I will not be returning for a follow up.

Super fast visit and great COVID safety protocol in place.

Dr Abbott is phenomenal. I’ve been going for body scans for a few years annually and it always seems to go quick but this year (within 2 min) she spotted a suspicious mole which Turned our to be melanoma. She caught it early so much easier to treat and I’ll be going frequently but if it was not caught, it would be a whole different story. Everyone is very friendly, helpful, professional. I also appreciate that dr Abbott did my surgery today in a way to allow be to more quickly return to my activities. I fully trust her. I also would encourage people to not let this slip- go annually so that it’s easier for the doctor spot changes though in this case it seemed like she could quickly just identify this as a bad spot.

I arrive for an appt Ive had scheduled for a year for them to tell me I have an unpaid bill and they wont see me until its paid. I pulled up my bank account online and proved I paid it. They are demanding I send them proof, which I cant right now. Plus, They are refusing to see me because I have my 6 year old daughter with me and they say theres a 1 person limit. Im a single mom and my child has virtual school. No one ever told me about any such policy. Now theyve had us sitting in the waiting room 15 min while they check with a manager. Seems highly counter productive. Last time I was here they had bugs...everywhere.. and they knew they had an issue and instead of closing, they just appologized. They have a serious lack of common sense when it comes to customer service.

As good as it gets. Daisy at the Buckhead location performed laser hair removal on my face. Painless and very well done. Daisy targeted the places that needed it most and also asked my input. Have you ever spoken to a specialist or Doctor who appearsnot to hear you? There are so many options in Atlanta for dermatology services. However, to find a dermatologist as thorough, personable, and knowledge as Dr. Abbott is a rarity...no matter where youre looking for a skin care professional. I love this practice! Dr. Abbott is amazing, but you can’t go wrong with any of the doctors here and the PAs are also terrific and super thorough. I like that they have a lot of great products available, but they don’t push any of them on you - a nice balance. The front desk is always friendly too!

Not very good, a specialist needs to be scheduled for a general full-body check up. Expect to have any sunspot or mole shaved-off before actual examination, I do not recommend coming here.

Good team, good Doctor, good PA!

Overall a good experience. I will say that the doctor definitely seemed in a bit of a rush throughout the visit, which was probably only like 5 minutes total. So they could use to slow down a little bit, but Im also generally okay with the expediency of it, but it can make it feel like I cant bring up more questions or issues because the doctor is already headed out the door mentally.

The staffs were very friendly. The facility was very clean and well equipped. Dr. Abbott was very nice. She prescribed me a cream for eczema that works very well. My symptoms went away within a few weeks. Highly recommended!

I saw Sonia in midtown for a facial. She was so knowledgeable and helped customize my experience to my needs- she even suggested a treatment for me that I hadn’t heard of because she thought I would benefit. I would definitely recommend seeing her.

This review is solely for extreme inconvenience that dermatology affiliates caused for me. I left work to make my appointment this morning. Once I arrived, I signed in and the receptionist asked for my co-pay of $25. I explained to her that I have met my deductible for the year and I am not required to pay anything else out of pocket. The receptionist insisted that I must pay. I explained to her again why I shouldn’t, as I have met my deductible with my insurance. She calls someone in their billing department and they instructed her to ignore the $25 Co-pay since I met my insurance deductible and instead to charge me a $68.50 “new patient deposit.” I politely asked why would I have to pay anything out of pocket when my insurance is going to cover everything. The receptionist explained that that is just their policy. I am not upset at that being their policy because everyone is entitled to run their business how they see fit. However, I am extremely disappointed in the lack of preparation and proper communication. If that’s your policy, I should have been informed when I scheduled the appointment. And BEFORE I left my job mid-morning to make a blank trip to dermatology affiliates. I am very disappointed and upset that my time was wasted. Hopefully, the practice does a better job in the future of properly communicating to patients their personal policies that are outside of the healthcare norms.

I had a facial today with Sonia... OMG blow your mind good!!!! I walked in with dull skin and came out with glowing skin!!!! She is amazing so knowledgeable about different skin types and such a sweet person!!! She had me snoring in the room. I will definitely go see her again

I have been coming to Dermatology Affiliates for over 3 years and every time has been wonderful. Ive always seen dr. Abbott and was slightly worried when I got an appointment with dr. Clay but I shouldnt have worried. I commented to my wife right after that this practice must only hire the best and sweetest people because I love every single doctor Ive come in contact with. I also want to mention that I went there this year without insurance and their cash price is very reasonable for the yearly scan.

Horrible office process. If you’re a new patient and do not arrive at least 30 mins earlier than your actual appointment time, they turn you away and will not see you. Extremely unreasonable office with practices that do not accommodate nor take into account the patients they are meant to be servicing. The office waiting room was empty, I arrived at my scheduled appointment time and was told to reschedule. Worst experience ever and I will be sure not to recommend anyone to this practice.

I rarely leave reviews but I feel compelled to warn others away from this practice. As a new patient, I received a text to confirm my appointment and accidentally hit the wrong response to indicate “reschedule”. I immediately called the practice to explain the mistake and confirm that I did not want to reschedule. They assured me the appointment was confirmed. When I showed up for the appointment (that I had waited weeks for) I was told it had been marked for rescheduling and that no one could see me.They are disorganized and disrespectful of people’s time. I’ll be finding a different practice for my skim needs.

This office came highly recommended. However despite getting me from the waiting room promptly, I spent an entire hour waiting for the doctor to come in. Not a single person came in within that hour to let me know the doctor was running behind. I’ve been in healthcare for 15+ years. I totally understand providers and schedules run behind. However it’s extremely inconsiderate and unprofessional to not even take 2 minutes to make patients aware of what’s going on. After 45 minutes of sitting in a room - I put my clothes back on and go out into the hallway. To find a medical assistant chatting with the front desk. My 5 feet from me. She assures me at that point the doctor will be right in.I wait another 15-20 min. Nothing. No one. I get dressed once again because I had to go back to work. I walked out to reception and asked for a refund on my copay bc of course they collect that before you’re even seen.They seems apologetic. But at that point I had already wasted over an hour there.Will not be back.

No waiting like many docs which is huge when you’re busy. The new midtown space is bright, clean and inviting. Everyone on staff is nice and very friendly. Dr. Forney is thorough in her exams, very knowledgeable and has a great bedside manner. You cannot do better than Dermatology Affiliates and Dr. Forney.

The facility is nice but the service is very slow. I arrived for my appointment early and shortly after, I was taken to a room. My appointment was for 9:20 and the doctor finally walked into the room at 9:45. When I told the doctor that I was upset with the long wait, she just told me to ask for the nurse practitioner next time if I am in a hurry.

I rarely write bad reviews, but was not impressed by the professionalism of Dr Clay. She made me feel as though I was inconveniencing her with my appt and was very rude in her responses to my questions. Would not recommend her.

Not worth it. Try to get a wart remove from my hand. The over the counter stuff work better. Also the new patient deposit is stupid $68.

Dr. Clay has a horrible attitude and a rude personality. Patients should never feel rushed or as if they are bothering their doctor with questions. I now understand why people told me not to come here.

I called to scheduled my appointment 2 weeks in advance. I had to take the day off from work. When I arrived at the office they could not find my appointment. The receptionist stated that someone made a mistake and she would ask the doctor if I could still be seen. After waiting over an hour I asked the receptionist how much longer the wait would be, at that time she made me aware that I was considered a walk in and they would work me in. The mishap with my appointment was not a mistake why should I be considered a walk-in. I am a new patient, this is not a good First impression.

The doctor was so sweet and professional love the whole staff

They were prompt to get me in for an appt. Courteous front desk staff. Waited in the room awhile for the Dr to come, but she knew my exact problem and gave me the medications I needed to fix it. Nothing special, but they took care of what I needed.
