The people at the salon were so kind and sweet!! Very nice environment. I wasn’t super happy with my hair afterwards as i went to get a balayage and get my roots blended in. My hair got brighter, but my roots are still pretty loud. I was offered to come back for an adjustment, but i honestly wasn’t looking to spend more money after already spending money to come in the first time. Great experience with the people, just didn’t love my results.

I was trying to wait out the pandemic to get my hair done to limit exposure. We all know how that went and 8mo later I was in desperate need of a cut and color. I’ve never been to Salon Red in Candler Park before but I’d heard good things and their website seemed to have good Covid-19 protocol so I made an appointment after looking at Rebecca’s work on their IG. When I got there I was a little nervous tbh as I’ve only been to work and back since the pandemic hit. But, they definitely put me at ease. Before I could text them that I’d arrived someone had already come out to my car to check my temp. I noticed after they washed my hair they spent a little extra time sanitizing the station for the next person and everyone was spaced out and masked. I didn’t really know what I wanted to do but Rebecca really listened to my vague thoughts and helped me guide me on a cut and color after giving it some thought. I got a cut, balayage, and style. It was soooo good! Not to get too dramatic but I felt like a new person after leaving! The Balayage was sooo good. Rebecca seems to really understand blonde/bronde coloring. I’d gone a little blonder than usual bc I was scared it wouldn’t look good on my pale skin but after Rebecca colored it, my only regret was not going in sooner. The tones of the blond really worked. I’m definitely going back and it’s nice to have a steady hair stylist now. I was tired of shopping around and never really getting what I’d wanted.

I have been going to Salon Red for 10+ years and always get a great hair cut. My schedule changes often so I go with whichever stylist can cut my hair at the time I am able to. I cherish that I can trust any stylist at Salon Red to do a good job. Today I saw Bonnie Pearl, a newer stylist, and I am more than happy with my cut and style.

I waited an entire month for an appointment for a haircut and full highlights, which I get because they’re limiting the amount of people in the salon now. HOWEVER when I arrived, I was told that the stylist I booked hasn’t worked there in months. They said that someone should have called me but didn’t. It STILL even has me booked with that stylist on their website. (Although I did actually make this reservation over the phone- even worse honestly because I spoke to someone). And of course there’s no one else that can do it. I’ve been coming here for years, but I wont be back.

I had a great experience here. The location is pleasant and wait times are minimal if you have an appointment. Josh is great at coloring hair—I came in with about an inch or two of regrowth on my box-dyed red hair (don’t judge) and he perfectly matched my natural color. Came in a few weeks later for a gloss and had an equally pleasant experience with him. Plus he gave me some coupons. I definitely recommend.

I went to another salon and the stylist completely botched my balayage and refused to fix it 4 days before a wedding and I’m the maid of honor. YIKES! So I called Salon Red with an SOS and they were able to schedule me for a consultation that day! I ended up seeing Becks and she worked some serious magic and cleaned up my balayage, achieving what I had wanted from the start. The service was amazing, and she was extremely professional and diligent about sanitizing everything as she went. The owner Jessica was also very friendly and placed me with Becks, saying she is the balayage master. It’s TRUE! I will definitely be recommending them to all of my friends and I’ll be coming back when it’s time to touch up!

The front desk staff is very efficient and knowledgeable. The environment is very casual, but fast paced. Even the people who arent doing hair are very well versed in hair processes such as color, cut, lightening, etc. They had a very diverse group of people coming in and out for services. They also try to be environmentally friendly so thats cute!

I just LOVE this place!!! Ive had a couple different stylists as theyve gone off to do work in other states, but each person Ive worked with has been simply amazing. The front desk staff is welcoming and helpful, the products are amazing, the work they do on your hair is just phenomenal. Got my significant other a style and color for a Christmas right before heading out of town for New Years. Several issues occurred on her visit that were very upsetting:- 3 hour estimated time turned into 6.5 hour event- requested blonde belyage, came out coppery/red so had to redo coloring twice- was charged twice for extra product when the stylist missed the mark twice- $185-$210 estimate turned into a $300+ bill and she still tippedWhen I called to speak w mgr/owner, his initial remedy was to have the original stylist fix it, which was not acceptable.After communicating w the new stylist, she recommended we go back to original stylist cause she ‘would know more about how to fix it’ and seemed genuinely disinterested in fixing someone else’s mistake.Owner/MGR did not offer refund for the $80+ over charge, just a salon credit for products they sell.Spend your $$$ elsewhere.

Loved the whole experience. Upon walking in I was offered a drink and and food; felt like a spa-like experience. My hair was washed with a scalp massage. I loved the man who cut my hair, David, he is sweet, funny and took the time to get to know me. Based on what he had learned about me, he knew the perfect haircut to fit my lifestyle, job, and frequency of haircuts. He seems to care most about your experience and how happy you are with your haircut. The decor of the building was lovely and interesting. It felt very open and airy, and a little like an interesting loft. I will drive all the way from Athens, GA to get my hair cut there.

I wandered the Atlanta wilderness for five years before finding Julie (who is known among my friends as Julie the Wonder-stylist). She is skilled and personable and really took the time and care to understand my thick, coarse hair and to give me a cut that looks great leaving the salon and -- miracle of miracles -- grows in brilliantly. All the staff I have encountered at Salon Red have been cordial and helpful, but its the stylist who matters and Julie is great.

Lyndsay, who is excellent, usually cuts my hair, but the day before Thanksgiving I was desperate, and she was fully booked. Timothy had an opening, though, so I went over. I had been toying with the idea of letting my hair grow out, but it was in that dreadful crazy-making stage where you just want to shave your whole head. He didnt cut very much, but completely transformed my hair from an incipient mullet to a very glam bob. I am so grateful for Salon Red Candler Park!
