I have had about 6 root canals, at many facilities over my life. I had a particularly painful one, that has led me down the path of requiring Valium upfront for the last two procedures since then. However, when I got to Dr. Marcum for this latest root canal, he assured me that I didnt need the drugs because it was going to be such a simple and rather brief process for a two root molar.What I thought would be a consult appointment, turned into my only visit to him for this tooth. The procedure was painless, as he promised. The conversation between the dentist, and the assistant was light and friendly, which distracted me and lessened my anxiety. I wouldnt hesitate to have another procedure like this with Dr. Marcum again.The tooth feels normal and thats the most important part.

Upon meeting him, he immediately began ridiculing my diagnosis and the medication I take. Then his exam hurt me so intensely I tried to dive out of the chair. I bolted for the door, pouring tears, as soon as possible.
