Gym america,I’ve got a couple of things to say about this establishment. I attended when at a different location when I was a child. My mom didn’t love it. We attended one season, and moved on to a new gym. Now as a new generation I wanted to give them another chance. I’m currently bringing my kids here (20+ years later). Due to convenience and location, it’s working for us for now.You should know about their policies before signing your children up for classes here. Are they a super clean gym, and very strict about their cleaning policies? Yes.As a single parent, it can become difficult. Luckily my children have classes on the same day. But if they didn’t, you are not permitted to bring a sibling in the waiting room unless they do in fact have classes on the same day. One parent allowed per family. So if your kids have classes different days, you have to budget for a babysitter in combination for classes (almost $200 monthly for two kids attending weekly, plus cost of babysitter). They will kick you and your child out of the waiting area unless they have a class that day. They encourage parents to wait out of the lobby, even for preschool (ages 3-4). They encourage to download an app to watch them, yet it’s spotty and do not currently have a video option for preschool classes. If you are comfortable with leaving your young child with them, without being able to see them in any way during their class, then this will be for you.Their policies are strict. Cannot arrive more than 5 minutes prior to class. Even if your child has to use the bathroom, it’s proudly frowned upon and you will be told so upon arrival. For all parents, we know that can be difficult. My children like it so far, our family has been attending for a few months. If you have kids with classes on different days, just plan to budget for a babysitter. And for sitting in a dead quiet lobby, where family is discouraged for staying, and watching their kids who are attending class. It’s unfortunately not a warm, welcoming establishment from what we have seen thus far. With all that being said, the coaches we’ve worked with are fantastic with the kiddos and do a great job! Most of the front desk staff is professional and very friendly and polite, and do the best they can at voicing and enforcing the companies policies.

Great gym, overall. My preschooler loves our weekly class! Was disappointed to learn that members must pay for weekly classes, even if the instructor needs to cancel; while they do offer make up days on the weekend, this supplemtary time doesnt work for our familys schedule, and we were still required to pay for a class that wasnt offered for us during the time we are registered for. I do, however, love that all ages perform in the same, large space, allowing my youngster a full visual experience. They love going every week. I love that they are making it available for parents to watch their child, while still enforcing strict masking, sanitizing, distancing guidelines.Front desk needs support! They are always understaffed when we are in at a seemingly busy time, leading to lack of gym members ease of getting scanned and given the go to join their classes; takes away from potential welcoming demeanor.

My preschooler has been taking classes at Gym America for 6 months and she loves it. Coach Jamie is amazing with the littlest kids; shes funny and silly all the while teaching gym skills and helping them learn to take turns and listen. The staff, coaches and students all wear masks and stay distanced from each other. The check-in process is streamline and the facility is spotless. As soon as instructional classes resume I will enroll my first grader here too. Thank you!

Love Gym America! This is our 9th year as a part of the GA family and we have been consistently happy with our experience, both from the gymnast and parent-of-gymnast perspectives. Everyone we work with at the gym, from the coaches to the gym owners to the staff members, are so professional, caring, and dedicated to the well-being and success of our daughter as a gymnast and as a person.

We love Gym America! My daughter has been a part of the GA family for 9 years. I think the thing that the GA team does best is handle adversity. They impressed me with the way they used the Larry Nassar case to empower the kids to use their voice, and now they have been ROCK STARS in handling the pandemic. I literally trust them with my kids life. Im so grateful for the influence the coaches have been my daughters life. I highly recommend them to everyone I know.

Gym America has amazing coaches that have helped my daughter not only grow as a gymnast, but also helped her gain confidence. They have also taken the health and safety of the students seriously and are actively updating protocols to meet current situations.

The gym is fine for a place to take kids. The owner tried to involve herself in my child custody case.Something she wasnt involved but took it upon herself to get mixed up in. Go elsewhere. Ill pay your first month

I love this place a million times over. The staff is so friendly and kind and have helped my daughter build character, friendships and just have fun when going through tough times. They teach kids at so many different levels of experience but treat all gymnasts with respect, compassion and support. We’ve been attending for a few years and have no intention of stopping any time soon!

We have been coming to Gym America for the past 8 years. As a mom of 2 boys, my goal for them has never been anything more than get stronger, more coordinated and have fun. Gym America is a place they have done that and so much more. The motto of “Gymnastics today. Character for life” has played out in so many ways for both boys. We have been supported through our journey with gymnastics AND life (good and bad times) by administration and coaches at every level. Our family is very thankful to call Gym America home.

My daughter went here for about 9 months. We wanted to love it, but it just was not the right fit. As a 6 year old beginner, she never really learned a thing. I noticed the instructors would work with kids that already had gym skills, and the beginners never got the attention they needed to progress. We did a few clinics, that I observed my daughter never receiving any instruction (not exaggerating, 0 instruction) and was asked to do inversions without any instruction and fell on her head. Another student of the same age actually is the one who helped her. We also found it hard to keep her registered. They have a strict registration policy, and if you miss the window you will most likely not get the class you were in again, or not be able to register at all. This happened to us, which is why we had to change gyms. Our new gym may not be as spacious and its a little smelly, but just a month in, she is learning way more than she ever did at gym America, at a 1/4 of the price. The registration process at our new gym is very easy and friendly. Gym America would probably be a great fit for the experienced student who is training to because a serious gymnast...but everyone else, Id say skip the money and the hassle and go to a more humble gym.

My daughter has enjoyed gymnastics here for some time. Not an extremely diverse facility. Waiting room is very busy with undertones of racism/stereopical behavior from the majority.

The motto at Gym America is Gymnastics today, character for life, and they live that motto in everything they do. Our children have taken everything from beginner toddler classes at Gym America to being part of the elite competitive team, and to a person, every member of the teaching and coaching staff is incredible. Yes, our children learned gymnastics at Gym America - one of our daughters is now a college gymnast, thanks to them - but more importantly, they learned lessons about teamwork, perseverance, respect and sportsmanship. You cant do better than Gym America.
