Amazing staff very professional and helpful. Dr.Ray and his main hygienist were lovely they were great with my 8yro. Myself and my brothers were patients of Dr. Ray years ago. He still has the calming presence and professionalism that got all 3 of us through our rough teeth years. I would recommend him to anyone who asked for my opinion on who I thought was one of the best pediatric dentists around. Hes just a lovely man and his staff all have the same excellent personalities I would expect from anyone associated with his practice.

Dr. Ray and his team are incredible. Dr. Ray is so thorough and takes the time to explain everything that he is doing. He is gentle and patient and is amazing with my son. The assistants are just as talented and make my son feel comfortable. He was offered a cup of water and a blanket. My son no longer fears going to the dentist. I am so grateful we found this place.

Great dentists and staff! Always on time but never rushed. Very transparent in all of their processes and they never push unnecessary procedures. Good COVID precautions, too. My kids have gone here for years now and we love the friendly, professional office.

I love the child centered approach to dental visits. My child wanted to sit in my lap and it wasn’t a problem at all. So much patience and kindness shown to the kiddos. Especially when they have a hard time at the dentist. We really love Ann Arbor Pediatric Dentistry and I can’t recommend them enough!

We have been going to AA Pediatric Dentistry for 14 years with all three of my children despite living a half hour away. It all started as an emergency visit for my oldest at the age of 2 and we have been there ever since. Dr. Ray is the most compassionate, efficient, and knowledgeable pediatric dentist. We, as a family, respect his choices and care plans and truly enjoy going to the clinic. Dr. Aimee is the best too! Our hygenists are super friendly and love working with kids. Its like family!

My 6 yr old has various sensory problems... food sensory, sensitivity with certain lights, and a lot of tactile sensory issues, so you can imagine how stressful it is getting ready for fairly basic appointments like this, but we’ve never had any problems since we started going there a couple years ago and here’s why.Unlike other offices, kids get their own private room in a fairly quiet building. I couldn’t hear any sounds from other spaces. They were all calm and let her taste and check out the various steps of the process. No one was in a rush or at least never made you feel like they were rushing even though I’m sure they move quickly because this is hard for all people... not just kids. They were patient when she needed time to get the gritty stuff off her teeth that was left over after spitting. It was fast, it wasn’t stressful, my kid actually enjoyed the experience and I couldn’t be more proud of her and happy with this office. They’re wonderful. 5 stars, absolutely.

Dr. Maturo is very patient and kind with the little ones. He explains what he is doing, every step of the way, to ease their fears. Such a knowledgeable dentist!

My daughter had to have some pretty extensive work done and they did an amazing job of keeping her calm and explaining exactly what was happening and what was being done before doing it. Dr. Aimee and Abby were great! And I appreciate their attentiveness to my little girl as well as myself. Thank you ladies for being great, despite some unforeseen incidents.

My daughter has been having her dental needs met at AA Pediatric Dentistry for 18 years now. Staff is friendly, knowledgeable, lean weve never had a negative experience! This office will do everything in their power to assist! A few years ago, this office helped my daughter at the drop of a hat, when four offices in my hometown could/would not. Best Dentistry office EVER!!!

All the staff take such great care to make sure the child’s health and comfort are top priority. I never imagined my son would be so excited to visit the dentist... even AFTER sitting for two cavities.

Weve been taking our son to AA Pediatric Dentistry for a little over a year - his first two cleanings went great and thought we really loved this place.. Everything changed when they told us he needed to have a few cavities filled.When we showed up for the appointment my 4 year old son was VERY nervous so Dr. Kristen/I calmly explained what they were going to do. My son was crying the entire time when she was putting the numbing gel on the area for the shot to numb him up. I told her she could continue and she ended up being able to administer the shot, but unfortunately my son wouldnt keep his head still when she brought the drill into his mouth. I told her to stop as I was nervous about her drilling while he wouldnt keep still. We talked about coming back and giving it another try with my husband being with my son.. well that went even worse.. Dr. Kristen ended up trying to force his mouth open so my son obviously lost it again and my husband stopped the procedure before it started. They mentioned SDF as a possibility so we made another appointment to have that done.. well I took my son to have this done and it was with Dr. Ray. I cant say enough how I dont agree with his methods at all. As soon as we walked back my son shut down and wasnt talking because he was nervous so he wouldnt even sit in the chair. I spoke to him calmly saying Dr. Ray wanted to look in his mouth and see what was going on. After 5 minutes or so Dr. Ray said this isnt how he works and he tells his patients what to do because these are grown up decisions and kids cant make them so we need to tell them what to do.. UM EXCUSE ME.. NO.. I told him what happened previously and I wasnt comfortable with them drilling on my son as his head is moving all around.. He said if I wasnt giving him authority to tell my kid what to do then he couldnt help us out. At that point I told him we will NEVER be going back to AA Pediatric Dentistry.I do not recommend going here based on our experience with needing to have additional work done other than a cleaning.

I cant begin to say how grateful I am to Dr. Aimee at Ann Arbor Pediatric Dentist and how incredibly talented she is in working with childrens dental challenges. Anybody can be nice to a child, but Aimee has a true talent with working with children and is a talented dentist. She is gentle, uses reassuring terminology, knows how to successfully distract your child during the trickiest parts of the procedure, lets the child take breaks if needed and is extremely respectful of parents and children. We started my daughters dental journey in a non-pediatric office that started drilling her teeth and actually couldnt finish the procedure because she was fighting and terrified, so we emergency transferred to Dr. Aimee at Ann Arbor Pediatric dental that day and she was able to successfully complete the procedure in a way that was calming for my child and weve stayed with her ever since.My child needed three teeth pulled and three teeth drilled and capped, so needless to say we went for many, many visits. At one point, we went to another dentist for a consultation (Tree Town Pediatric) to look into the possibility of getting white caps instead of the standard steel ones for children, however I left that practice in horror as they said they dont allow parents to be with their child during treatment (due to Covid social distancing concerns) and they also put the child in restrictive seats like straight jackets. Heck no will you do that to my young child in a room without their parent, how traumatic! The other practice also didnt seem to do very well at talking my child through everything they did (like putting the seat up and down), whereas Dr. Aimee talked my child through everything in a reassuring way. I was horrified with the other dental office and ran back to Dr. Aimee as fast as I could and she did the standard caps and did an excellent job. (The other dentist also doesnt do custom fit spacers, but Dr. Aimee at Ann Arbor Pediatric does) I was present and able to comfort my child during the whole treatment with Dr. Aimee and she worked quickly, gently and really helped us get through this challenging treatment. I am amazed at her talent and skill! I will recommend all my friends to take their children to Dr. Aimee at Ann Arbor Pediatric dental, she is the absolute best!

I took my daughter, who has Autism, to see Dr. Aimee Picard today. It was for an extraction that she (my daughter) was quite anxious about. Dr. Aimee was wonderful. She took her time, speaking very warmly, explaining each step of the procedure to my daughter. Her kind, sweet demeanor was a great comfort to my daughter, in what could have been a high-stress event. I can’t recommend Ann Arbor Pediatric Dentistry enough. Both of my children have been patients there for over 10 years. They’re the best!

If I could give this place 10 stars I would. The staff is so helpful and truly care about your little one. My little one year old had an unfortunate fall that left him with 2 less teeth and the on call doc had me come in at night to make sure he was okay. He needed it extracted and they were so so so so great with him. From having extra clothes and diapers available to trying to distract him from what was happening- this place made me feel so much better about our unfortunate situation. Thank you again!!!

The staff at AA Pediatric Dentistry really know how to make children feel comfortable at the dentist. My 6 and 8 year olds came home happy with their prizes. That evening they explained exactly how they need to brush and maintain their teeth. The staff empower children to get excited about and take charge of their own dental health.

My children are five and three these ladies and staff knew exactly how to work with my young boys and got everything checked out very happy and pleased and I’m from Monroe I came all the way there since we had a bad experience elsewhere so happy we found them

We love this dentist, started seeing them when my son was 2 and have stuck with them ever since. Dentists (we have seen many) are all so nice and everyone there is great at making children feel safe and comfortable during the process. They are very patient even with some more wiggly kids :-)Very much recommend this dentist to anyone with kids, especially those who are worried how their children will react to the visit.

I cannot recommend them enough. My son has severe autism and anything related to oral hygiene is a total nightmare for our family. He had a crown done recently and it went SO MUCH BETTER than I could’ve imagined. We were treated with respect, dignity and very special care. They made me son as comfortable as possible and respected his sensory needs. We felt very safe as all Covid protocols were followed as well. I am so grateful to all the staff of Ann Arbor Pediatric Dentistry- I have never had such a great experience with any other medical or dental office.

This place is amazing! Our kids ask about going to the dentist all the time. Dr. Amy and everyone there are so good with our kids. We have a special needs child and he panics once we’re there, but they’re so understanding and kind, and our kiddo is always happy that he got to see them.Their dental work is top notch, they don’t cut corners and they’re honest about what’s going on and expectations. 5 stars every day of the week!

We love Ann Arbor Pediatric Dentistry! We became patients when my oldest son required spacers 5 years ago. Everyone in this office has been fabulously patient with and kind to all three of my kiddos! Having the option of going to the Chelsea location is great, also!!

The doctor was very patient and friendly towards my family. The office was clean and everyone on staff seemed comfortable and well prepared to work with toddlers. The staff gave great advice for home care and did a thorough oral exam for both of my daughters. I would 100% recommend this dental practice.

Despite my young daughter being afraid and difficult, they were able to get the exam done and were exceedingly kind to both of us the whole time. They didnt get frustrated with her at all. Our family loves Ann Arbor pediatric dentistry. They do their utmost to make dentist visits anxiety free for kids. We once had a severe dental emergency on a Saturday with our then 4-year old, and one of the dentists calmly met us at the office during off hours and did an excellent job with addressing the damage. All the staff - from front desk to hygienists and dentists - are warm and kind. We highly recommend the practice!

I cannot say enough about this place!! My 4 year old needed dental work done and after being referred out by another dentist, we came here. His first visit elsewhere was torturous for us both, then came along this wonderful establishment. They were patient, kind, gentle; everything you need a pediatric dentist to be!

Very pleased with our experience with Dr. Maturo at Ann Arbor Pediatric Dentistry. Dr. Maturo was our second opinion for my 4 year olds decayed molars. He was much more conservative than the first. Another dental practice in town told us my daughter would need 5-8 silver crowns and 1 root canal. Dr. Maturo, however, was able to restore all her decayed teeth with regular fillings and no root canal! The other practice also recommended either conscious sedation (plus being restrained!) or putting her under general anesthesia. By patiently talking her through the procedure, Dr. Maturo completed the work without any sedation or even gas! I was nervous, but my daughter did great! I also like how, unlike at the other practice, I was allowed to stay with my child during the procedure and hold her hand. We love our general dentist, but I have switched my daughter to this practice for her cleanings because I felt she did best with Dr. Maturo. We drive 30 minutes each way but worth it to see a professional that we trust!

This place has communication issue. I updated my insurance info with their staff Michelle several weeks ago and they sent me appointment confirmation. When I arrived at appointment , they told me my insurance is out of network. Usually the dental office should notify patients if they are in our out of network when getting the insurance update. They totally wasted my time.

I am always pleased with the level of care my children receive with AAPD in the Chelsea office! They accommodate appointments for multiple siblings at the same time, the staff is always so friendly, and they go out of their way to explain what is going on to nervous little ones. They even remember one of my boys loves the color red and always remember to give him a red toothbrush before he even asks. As a parent, I feel my questions are always answered, and the plan for the cleaning/visit is always clear. I definitely recommend them.

We love Dr. Kristin and this dentist office! My daughter has trouble with change and was really scared her first several cleaning visits. She would cry and refuse to lay down. Dr. Kristin and her assistants were kind, non-judgmental and patient. This most recent visit my daughter had to get a tooth pulled. A much bigger deal than just a cleaning, but because of her past experience she did great! She knew what to expect and felt comfortable in the office. There were some tears with the numbing, but she quickly calmed down due to the tactics of Dr. Kristin and her team. My daughter felt like a champion when she left! Dr. Kristin said she was proud of her and she got to pick out double prizes!

We have been patients of Ann Arbor Pediatric Dentistry for aprox 17 years. We had an awful experience with a different dentist prior to finding Doctor Raymond Maturo so my daughter was an afraid, uncomfortable and uncooperative patient. He was extremely patient and kind and took the time to work with my little girl to help her learn to trust the process and the dentist. It also helps that we have had the same assistant, Melissa, for all of these years. Melissa and the rest of the staff are awesome making it impossible to consider ever going anywhere else.I now have a 7 year old and a 2 year old and we have seen been patients of other dentists at the office all of which have exceeded our expectations and been absolutely awesome with my boys. But it was after my daughter had an emergency and doctor Amy met us at 9am in a Sunday and worked to put together a team of specialists to help my daughter that I realized how special they are! It was a scary time and they put us at ease and helped us put things back together! Cannot say enough about each team member that has touched our lives over the last several years! Awesome skill, wonderful care, amazing group of professionals!

If I can give Dr. Ray 10 stars, I would - My son has special health concerns and is at high risk of Covid-19 infection. Dr. Ray went out of the his way and made special accommodation to ensure the best protection for my son. Dr. Ray cares about his patients well-being and provides the best service to them. Between my two sons, Dr. Ray has been looking after our family for nearly 20 years. Both sons have health teeth without any cavities. I highly recommend him being your pediatric dentistry as well.

My son is 12 and this is the only dentist he has ever been to. The hygienists and dentists go out of their way to help ease his anxiety and help him feel as comfortable as possible. Weve moved over an hour away but we make the commute because we like Ann Arbor Pediatric Dentistry so much.

My daughter’s appointment was excellent. We were postponing because of the pandemic, but, at the end we felt very safe.There is no contact with staff besides the dentist, who os appropriately wearing all PPE necessary. Both check-in and check-out were done by phone. Really easy! I think they are doing a great job and postpone our kids dentist visit is not worthy.

We love AAPD! Everyone has always been friendly and great with the kids. Their Covid safety precautions are awesome and helped reassure our fears of bringing the kids into a dental office. Would definitely recommend to a friend.

My 3-year-old daughter loves coming to A2 Pediatric Dentistry and has gone 2x/year since age 1. Dr. Amy has a great manner with even the littlest patients. Today was my daughter’s first experience with a hygienist. Linda did a great job and my daughter actually said “This is fun!” while in the chair. She also loves the toys and comfy couches in the waiting room. If I could come here as an adult patient I think I would have much less dental anxiety myself!

Dr Sanker was thorough and thoughtful in her approach to our children’s need. She explained to us in detail why she was doing something but also knew when to observe and just watch. She made our children comfortable and the treatment process was always very smooth. I would highly recommend her to anyone who is looking for a good and thoughtful pediatric dentist.

We have been visiting Ann Arbor pediatric dentistry since my son was 2 years old, when the Chelsea practice opened we moved to that location because we live closer. Even when we were driving 45 min to Ann Arbor, it was well worth the drive! At the chelsea office, the staff is friendly, the office is amazingly clean, the exams are super through and the staff just have the right stuff to be working with kids! I recommend ann arbor pediatric dentistry- both offices to all my mom friends :)

Words can not express how grateful and appreciative I am for Dr. Ray Maturo! My son had sustained an emergency tooth fracture, and I was referred to Dr. Maturos office for repair. They immediately understood the nature of the emergency and allowed me to bring him in right away for repair, which was done in a calm and efficient manner. Dr. Mature is truly a HERO for opening his doors during this time of pandemic and for that I am truly THANKFUL!!!!

My 5 year old LOVES going to the dentist now and when she had to have a tooth pulled recently, she actually came home saying it was the greatest day of her life. We have been incredibly happy with all the staff at both the Ann Arbor office and the Chelsea office.
