The entire staff is wonderful. They greet you with smiles and warmth. They answer questions thoroughly and if something you thought should be covered isn’t showing that way, they get on the phone with insurance to get an explanation. I love the hygienist and my dentist, Dr Khan. I was so happy that they were in-network with my new dental plan.

Very professional, yet caring and friendly staff. It was a nice pleasure to be greeted by the cheery front desk and then the assistant Asia who took me to my chair and then Becky the hygienist who did a wonderful job in my cleaning and helped me understand my problem areas and escalated it to Dr. Khan for review who further put me at ease. All in all a great experience as I do not normally enjoy going to the dentist Lol. I most certainly lookforward to my next appointment!

One of the best dental experiences that I’ve had in years. The staff was phenomenal; very friendly and courteous. I was fairly impressed with the work that was done, which to me is most important.

Horrible experience. I will only be attending to have the final cap attached. The second one made since the first came back from the lab and did not fit. The temp they put on feel off within days and since it’s been reattached to wait for the final I have had nothing but pain in the area. Never had any teeth issues before this guy put his hands on me. Terrible

I called and asked exactly what my filling would cost. I even told the person on phone to ask biller. When i showed up there was a $200 lab fee out of nowhere. Then hygienist says, well you should know that there is a lab fee, very rudely. The root canal in livonia also pulled bait and switch on phone. If you ever miss sleazy used car sales, this chain has you covered. Place is a joke

I am 81 years old. Being caught in the middle of the pandemic and suffering from a badly abscessed tooth under a bridge, I felt miserable with neck pain and headaches. One of my daughter’s friends recommended Dr Fouad Khan at Great Expressions in Ann Arbor. Dr Khan removed the bridge, skillfully extracted the teeth underneath, placed bone replacement graft and stitched the gum so expertly, with no pain at all and in no time! I am truly deeply grateful to him. He has my complete trust.

I have a history of severe dental phobia and trauma. I have been going here consistently since 2018. I always have great experiences. When I needed new fillings and filling replacements Dr. Khan did a wonderful job of making sure it was a painless and comfortable experience. Jeanie is a great dental hygienist too. I go to the dentist on a regular basis and would not see anyone else.

Great Expressions told me I needed fillings. 1st of all they told me I needed filling on the right, when I actually needed fillings on the left. They drilled holes on the right, and partially filled the drilled holes. I would NOT advise going to Great Expressions on Stadium, Ann Arbor Michigan

Very happy with my service at Great Expressions. It was easy to make an appointment online. I went there on the first day they were open after covid. It went smoothly and they were running on time. Becky did a thorough, detailed job on my cleaning and was a joy. Dr. Khan rocks. He was personable, compassionate, knowledgeable, and the shots he gave barely hurt. I had several cavities filled and no trouble with the bite afterwards and almost no pain. I recommend this practice highly. Like a lot of people, dental work is something I fear and dislike. During my fillings, I felt relaxed and trusted Dr. Khan so much that I nearly fell asleep! A first for me, for sure.

Great Expressions is currently charging 15$ per person that cannot be billed to insurance to cover PPE during Covid. 15$ is way more than the cost of one hygienists and dentists PPE. That means Great Expressions is making a profit off of a pandemic. I am ethically opposed to using their services. Please think twice before supporting a greedy company. No other dentist or doctors office I have been to is charging a surcharge.

Great Expressions Ann Arbor is an amazing dental office!! Dr. Khan is so friendly and knowledgeable it makes the visits easy. The entire supporting staff from Jazz, Marley, to the manager Lisa all make the experience truly GREAT!! Such an unpleasant experience here. From everything after my check in, it just went downhill. My first appointment here (after a change in insurance my former dentist was no longer in network) started off with some form of assistant reading over my paperwork to me. Based on what she was saying, she had no idea it was my first visit. After realizing that, she starts setting me up for x-rays. I mentioned I had them at my last appointment and asked about my insurance covering them before proceeding. She wasn’t listening to me and continued until finally i asked that they check before proceeding. Why this wasn’t asked before my appointment, I don’t know. I could have easily had then sent from my other office. Then they tell me they have a special of $25 x ray for people without insurance. Okay. i have insurance. i’ve had the xrays. I.just need my semi-annual cleaning. That’s a whole other story. The hygienist frustration with the assistant was evident. She was snippy at the assistant being slow. I was so uncomfortable able during the whole process. Then the kicker. The dentist comes in, refuses to look at my teeth because of my X-ray refusal and was completely short and rude with me. When it came time to checkout the receptionist looks at the paperwork and says, “why don’t you want to reschedule?” I said no one had even asked me about rescheduling?Clearly I had been a difficult patient for simply asking about why I need the X-rays twice in a year period. Here’s a tip, clarify this with new patients before they come in and that can be avoided.

Very kind and understanding staff! Easy to have a good conversation with if you’re nervous. It took a while for me to get called back but the rest of the appointment went very swiftly! Well done! I have never been fond of going to “the dentist”, but I always leave there feeling calmed and happy from my experience. Highly recommend!:D

First-time visit for regular cleaning, doctor literally told me (25 years old) that my teeth were in the shape of a 65 year olds and tried to sell me $1100 night guard. Ive been regularly going to dentists my whole life, and while they might not be perfect, 65!? Really?

It is a small office, but every time I go I feel that I am part of their family. Marlee is so welcoming and explains what is going to occur throughout my visit. She has a gorgeous smile. Then Becky, the dental hygienist, is wonderful. She is very knowledgeable and informative. She also educated me on how to examine my teeth and gums and signs and symptoms to watch for. Dr. Sakowitz is an amazing dentist. She is not only smart, but beautiful. Procedures are pain free and she goes into great detail when explaining things. They do not force me to do anything that I do not want to do, but they explain the risks and benefits to everything so that I can make an informed decision. I truly appreciate this. I am not a fan of dentists, but I dont mind coming to my appointments. I look forward to see the staff.

My appointment started promptly! No waiting! The staff was very friendly and made sure I understood everything. The cleaning and services were done thoroughly—not rushed like other places I’ve been. Other services available via texting and calling and google calendar were a very nice touch. They also have very flexible hours throughout the week.

We have been coming to Great Expressions as a family since we moved to Ann Arbor in 1999. Dr. Khan is very good in determining what we need for our teeth which has been important for us. We never felt pressured for unnecessary procedures. Teeth cleaning has been meticulous as well. Practical aspects such as work hours, availability has always fit in well to our family needs which is also important as we both work.

We went for our first dentist appointment today since the departure of Dr. Martinez and it went very well. The newest doctor, Dr. H took great care of myself and my three year old daughter who was going for the first time today. They also went above and beyond by preoccupying my two & three yr. old while I got x-rays then again while cleaning and examining my teeth while my two year old fell asleep on me. Thanks!!

I was very nervous. I was scared going in to have a filling replaced. There was a slight crack in the tooth. If he could fill it great. If not it would turn into me needing a crown. Dr Khan has a confidence that I did not see at the Great Expressions in Canton. I trusted him and I was only at the Ann Arbor office 1 time for a cleaning. He was GREAT, no crown. I am very pleased with this office. I went to the Canton office probably over 20 years. I am a patient here for life. Thank you Dr Khan.

Becky is such a joy every time I go in for a cleaning! Shes quick and efficient but still very thorough and friendly! Took off one star because the office usually runs about 10-15 minutes behind but thats likely just a matter of overbooking and not a reflection of anyone who works there!

I choose this dentist when I moved to Ann Arbor because it was the only one that would accept my insurance. I was very disappointed with the quality of care. I saw a different dentist each time I went to the office. One hygienist told me I would need root scaling, which is an intensive procedure. Fortunately, I got a second opinion at the University of Michigan Dental School clinic and they told me that I didnt need any sort of root scaling and that it would have damaged my gums.I would recommend Comfort Dental Care Center instead. I go there now and the difference is night and day. The office is beautiful and all of the equipment seems new and clean. The staff is very friendly and the take to explain your treatment plan to you. Im very happy with my care there.

They were super nice and were very understanding that I had to bring my 9 month old baby with me! I will continue coming there. Its very hard to find a good dentist office with late appointment times and nice staff!

Horrible Experience. Bunch of lootersI went there just to have consultation for my wifes wisdom tooth. I had problem with my insurance as my wifes name was incorrect. Insurance guys assured Great Exp guys that I am covered yet they insisted me to pay the full amount as if I did not have insurance. Now its more than 45 days, yet they havent refunded me. Everytime I call, I get a new response. I consult my insurance and they confirmed that they made their payment and I must not be charged more than $5. Now Great expression guys are not even taking my calls or just putting me on hold. Will never recommend this to any one. I would rather have voted -5 stars if possible

I truly enjoy seeing Dr. Khan. I have worked with him for the last 9-10years with complicated dental issues from suffering from an impacted incisor and requiring orthodontics care referrals to chronic reoccurrent caries. He is always compassionate and realistic. His staff is also very supportive. Marley and Jazz along with the clerical staff always greet me and make me feel welcomed

My visits are professional courteous and efficient. I was in and out in one hour yesterday. I’ve been going to this dentist for over twenty years (never had a problem).

Been too long since I was at the dentist but I was happy with my visit. I really enjoy the new patient facing screens that show you your xrays in real time as well as pictures of your teeth. It was really refreshing to be able to see what the hygienist and dentist were looking at.

I interacted with five different people during my first visit to this location and from the front desk to the doctor, everyone was incredibly friendly and helpful. They explained every step of the process and provided helpful suggestions for home preventative care to avoid dental work. With insurance, the pricing was very reasonable.

Not happy at all! As a first time client I was looking for a cleaning, x-rays and treatment plan to begin maintenance care and preventative treatment for my teeth. Although the receptionist was pleasant and I enjoyed the atmosphere, I was less than happy with the dentist and his assistant. The assistant felt new and she was more concerned with how much my boots cost than she was with the kind of treatment I was seeking and kept trying to sell me a floride treatment for $25 although they already told me they werent going to clean my teeth because I needed a deep cleaning. And the dentist was even worse, he never asked me what I wanted or what type of care I was seeking. He simply gave me x-rays and a brief exam of my mouth and told me I needed over $4K of work done including partials and a root canal. Please! I regularly brush and take care of my teeth, and after getting all of my wisdom teeth pulled at the same time, I elected to have one top back tooth pulled as well when it became infected from the wisdom tooth, so I dont believe that qualifies for a partial. Does it? The receptionist couldnt give me an true estimate of the cost of work they recommended so they gave me an estimate of an estimate until they get the actual costs after my insurance coverage.All-in-all, I think this location is only after your money and whatever you qualify for under your dental insurance they will make sure that it is included in your dental plan whether you actually need it or not... If it had not been for the receptionist and her kind demeanor I would have given this place a Hated It rating.

Best Hygenist Ive ever got deep cleaning with! Ive been to a lot of different dentist office since I got a lot of teeth problem as a teenager up to adulthood and each were never completely satisfying up to a level I gave up on all teeth professionals, wasnt until I had my first deep cleaning appointment with BECKY who went beyond being a professional Hygenist, but an amazing person who gave my appointment an amazing experience! First she was super knowledgable and a good listener, she explained my case thoroughly and I never felt under the rush! She made sure to clean my teeth super well and was very respectful! Also, she made sure that I follow-up after a month for a free check-up on my gum to make sure Im healing well! I cant express how Im more confident that there still amazing dental professional like BECKY! Ill defenitly recommend her to anyone! Thanks alot for making my experience special Becky!

I went in to my first appointment very apprehensive about this place because of all the negative reviews I found, but it actually turned out to be just fine. Yes, they do seem to be salespeople a little bit, which is odd, but it is easy to politely decline. They didnt say anything ridiculous like what I saw on the other reviews. I did meet with the dentist and he seemed great. I give 4 instead of 5 stars because they could have been a bit faster...I spent a bit more time waiting than I would have liked. My time is valuable too.

I LOVE THIS DENTIST OFFICE!!!!! I unfortunately have spent most of my adult life in and out of different dentist offices, and switching constantly because of poor quality or terrible customer care. This dentist office is completely different than any other I have been to. From Cat, Katie, and Lisa at the front desk remembering exactly who I am when I walk in the door and checking me in immediately to Jazmine, the dental assistant, who took excellent care of me while I had my teeth basically rebuilt. Dr.Khan was great, taking extra time to explain things to me and even squeezing me in, when it was nearly impossible, just for me to have my teeth perfect for a event I had. He even calmed my nerves through this whole long process by giving me a way to reach him in case I needed something after hours. Great office as a whole.... I will never go somewhere new again!!!!

Great Expressions has wowd me! I had my 6 month appointment and they scheduled an appointment the NEXT DAY for an issue with my crown. That was taken care of and then I called back a few days later because the temporary crown was bothering me and I was headed out of town for three weeks, so they got me in the NEXT DAY again and Dr. Khan saw me right away and fixed the problem. Both doctors are very patient and are willing to take the time to get it right! The receptionists are very friendly. They engaged in conversation with me about my vacation and then brought back some extra toothpaste and brushes for me and my travel companions. A small act of kindness goes a long way. Thank you Great Expressions!

I went to the Great Expressions in Ann Arbor, MI as they were the only local place that takes my insurance. From now on I will either have to go out of town or just pay for my dental care out of pocket, because nothing could ever get me back to this place. Heres my list:1. Filthy. The place was disgusting, all of its fixtures were ancient and the walls and floors were just grubby as though theyd never been cleaned.2. Rude dental assistants. They sat in the room and chatted with each other like I wasnt even there. The chairs are set up so that the dentist/dental assistants are behind you, so I stared at the wall and listened to them complain about how terrible the X-Ray machine was and how they wished they could get a new one. You know, that thing that was just beaming radiation into my face? When she was ready to do my cleaning, one of the assistants just started putting my chair down without saying anything to me.3. Outdated equipment. I cant say the assistants were wrong in their assessment of the X-Ray.4. Unfriendly as heck dentist. I dont know, hes putting his fingers in my mouth, cant he be nice to me, too? But no. He also treated me as though I was very stupid. Speaking of putting fingers in my mouth, he would constantly touch other stuff around the room(the filthy dirty room) and then just continue examining me.Avoid at all costs. It seriously ruined my whole week, going there. And I know Im not alone in my experience- I had a friend go the same week and she had all the same problems.

They have made some nice improvements to this location. Upgraded equipment so that you can actually see the xray of your teeth. I was also impressed with their honesty. I recently had an appointment and paid cash. I had some twenties fresh out of the ATM that stuck together and over paid them $20. They called and notified me of this mistake. I appreciate their honesty.

I had a great experience with Dr. Kahn. Hes conservative in his approach, which I Really appreciate. He doesnt recommend procedures that I dont need, and focuses on health. Hes very personable and sincere.

I was very supprized the ratings are not good here. I was very satisfied with the care here! I came in as a new patient and got an appointment the same week as requested. I only waited maybe 5 minutes in the waiting room. My first visit they took x-rays (nice digital machine) and they cleaned my teeth. They were very gentle while cleaning, great patient care! They asked if I wanted a few extra things my insurance didnt cover (ex, a special toothpaste for home), I couldnt afford it and that was fine with them no pressure sales. I came back the next week (quick!) to get two big fillings. The doctor did a great job and was very generous in the numbing med. I go back next week for two more fillings! Also, very supprized they took my insurance (Delta of MI). It sure beats going to the U of M dentistry to be a guinea pig for students!

Awful dental experience. Hygienist and dentist did procedures that amounted to patient portion of $200, when quoting much less at time of procedure. Also would not even read what my insurance covered although I brought a hard copy with me. Pressured me into doing procedures. Scam. Dont let them get you in the chair. They will use pictures of bad teeth to scare you into treatment. Acted like my teeth were so awful. All I wanted was my teeth cleaned; they would not do it. Instead they maximized the dental bill with many xrays and a procedure that was worthless. The hygenist and assistant were completely involved in running a game on me.

Im 57 years old and have always gone to the dentist as I am supposed to. I have NEVER that such a theral exam!! I was referred to this place by a friend when I had a tooth break and the whole filling fell out. I only had one side of the tooth left and was worried about breaking that too since what tooth was left was very thin. I called my dentist and was told he was up north with no way to contact him other than maybe you can text him and see if you get a reply He had no emergency coverage. I told my friend and she referred me to Great Expressions. I called as a brand new patient. I was told the Dr was leaving at noon for Chicago but if I could come in by noon they would take care of me. I told them I would bee there. I saw Dr Kahn and he said I needed a crown and did I want him to fix it enough so it wouldnt break and I could seem my Dr or go ahead and get it ready for a crown. I said, you saw me when I needed to be seen, you do the work. He did a perfect job, and when the crown came in it fit perfect! I have had all my records transferred and now I am a VERY happy patient at that practice!!! I have sinces had my whole family transferred and we all love this place!! Thank you Dr. Kahn and staff for taking such good care of me!!

I really love going to this dentist. They are very friendly. I was afraid of the dentist and now Im not. My teeth were horrible. With all the work that they did , I can smile now without being embarrassed . Thank you
