My mother was eating with her fingers. She is supposed to be assisted. It’s kind of hard to eat ground meat that’s like baby food with your fingers. When I went to ask for a washcloth so I can clean her up it was as if I was bothering them. I know this is a facility that you just took over. But I am looking and hoping for better than this. I did not mind having to wear the N 95 mask but now you’re making us wear face shields which I’ve been visiting her for a couple months with just a regular mask on. I see this as being something that will keep people from coming to see their family. I turned in her phone card last week so she could have her phone on. I spent 15 minutes trying to locate where the phone had been put and after I plugged it in it’s not been fixed so that she can use it the phone card has not been plugged in. I am hoping to see better from you but right now it’s still pretty much the same as what it was before you got there. On a better note the facility is very clean. It always smells good and most times the residence are clean. I hope to see the cleanliness of the residence improve. Thank you So you won’t let me do a new review. The staff isn’t feeding her. She had lost 13 pounds. Gee is it cause the staff isn’t feeding her. Plus they put her call light where she can’t reach it.

This is a beautiful facility and my family member who was there liked the staff. In general, I liked the staff too, except for a couple of incidents that upset me that involved other patients care.Overall, its one of two of the best facilities Ive seen and I visited several when I was looking for a place for a different family member. There should be photos of the rooms on this site because they look like hotel rooms and the photos of the cozy family gathering room in the front dont do it justice.

I worked at Providence for about 5 or 6 months and met some pretty amazing folks while working there, my mother is also a resident there so I am blessed to continue to stay connected with the staff. I know there are some very hard working, caring and compassionate folks that work there. And I am especially grateful for all of them being there during the Covid-19 shut down. They have worked very hard to keep me updated and to ensure my mother and I get video chats on time every week. A big thanks to everyone that has been so helpful and kind to my mother and I. Great job. Thank you!!!!

I started working as the Admissions Coordinator with Providence 2 weeks ago today. I have had nothing but a positive experience. I was welcomed by the other department heads and fit in just like I have been here all along. Penny, the Marketing Director is the best mentor I could ask for! She is great! The Administrator is definitely a go-getter! I love that this facility TRULY cares for each and every resident that comes in through the doors. Teamwork, caring staff, and happy residents are terms that truly describe Providence!

Providence staff work hard everyday to provide the best quality of care. The care that nursing provides for the resident and family support is above and beyond. Providence nursing staff keep the patient and family members updated of any issues or concerns. All the staff are helpful and kind. I trust within Providence and their staff to take care of my loved one in time of need. I have been employee for 25 years with this building. In 2016 Providence bought the building and had been a great company to work for. My peers have been a joy and pleasure to work with through out the years. Over the years I have used our facility to take care of my loved ones. Working in a facility setting we our own critics of each other when it comes to our own loved ones. I had the trust of my peers that our loved one was in good hands. The quality of care my loved one received was exceptional.

Ive worked in this building since I was fresh out of nursing school. When there was different owners and it was under a different name. I have watched Providence change this building into something great! We truly care for are residents and the care they receive. I used to be the unit manager for our memory care unit and now I am in admissions. I had spent hours begging the old company for a remodel and change to try to help with sensory and positive stimulation for the Alzheimers unit . I felt I had fallen on deaf ears. Then providence came along we discussed endless possibilities and brainstormed for months on what the unit should be like. I am proud to say we have started a complete renovation on the unit and are striving to do something Anderson has never seen. We want to be the best for your loved ones because at the end of the day they truly are our loved ones as well. Here at Providence we are family!

I am very pleased and proud to be an employee of Providence Anderson. This is a great place to work and enjoy the commerodery of fellow employees with a common goal, which is and always will be.... PATIENTS ARE FIRST. Our building has been totally renovated on the front half and we continue to strive to complete the update on the back half of the building. As well as the building being renovated.... So is the culture of the whole building. Customer service has been a requirement to be an employee here. I enjoy this component most of all... Cause this is what our building is about PATIENTS FIRST and EXCELLENCE IN CUSTOMER SERVICE.

My Mom did her rehab here to heal from a fractured hip. The people were very nice & good to her. The facilities are very good...newly renovated in the rehab area. We had 2 minor problems that involved long wait times after she used her call light & both incidents were on the evening/night shifts. I know they are looking to hire more people & this may help those problems. But, when we addressed it the next day, they listened to our concerns and addressed the issues with the staff. Sometimes the food was cold by the time it arrived to my Moms room, but this was a minor issue, too. The rooms are roomy & light. The really fun thing they did was to have a little going away party for her when she was discharged. She was delighted! And I must say, the administration & the staff were compassionate and competent.

This team has a great energy and something most health-care facilities forget about Customer Service. We dont over look the fact these are mothers, fathers, brothers, and sisters we are dealing with. We strive to give culture and a quality of life to all within our facility. Improvements are being made across the board with more to come. The management team is working for you and your family to give the best experience possible and it shows.

The new administrator at this building is dedicated to making it a safe and enjoyable place for patients and employees. He tries hard to listen and make changes that are best for the facility. He really has its best interest at heart! I wouldnt hesitate putting a family member here knowing that Mr. Sikora is in charge because I know I could go to him with any concerns and he would do his best to resolve them in the best way possible.

Id give a higher review and will give a higher a review once they remove the unprofessional staffing agency they use called journeys. They are lazy and do not care for residents at all. And Im sure if properly investigated it would show someone is getting kickbacks by using only journeys staff members which is a huge concern.

Extremely poor communication. I missed a doctor appointment because they didn’t schedule transportation after they assured me they would. I’ve missed several medications because of communication problems with the nursing staff and because the pharmacy apparently needs several days after a medication runs out to actually fill it. If you urgently need an answer to a question, don’t hold your breath. They’ll get around to it when they feel like it, even if it’s too late to do you any good. The physical therapists tell you one thing in therapy and then put something completely different on the report. As a result, I ended up being discharged before I was ready, putting me at risk of being kicked out of my home. The food is terrible. The beds are horrifically uncomfortable. Most of the staff is friendly enough, but a few are not well trained and a couple are rude. In general, though, it’s apparent that they did not intend for me to get strong enough to be able to go home; they were planning all along for me to be stuck in one of their permanent rooms. So if I did need to be in a nursing home full time, this would be the last one on earth I would choose. They can’t be trusted.

The staff at Providence , especially Ronna and Sharice, provided excellent rehab care for my elderly mother regarding post hip replacement surgery! I never had to worry about her safety or care. Thank you, Providence staff, for taking such good care of my Mom.

I would not recommend this place at all. My grandmother and grandfather were both there. Let’s just say they starved my grandma, they were supposed to sit and feed her. Never happened. They forgot to give her pain medicine. I questioned them and they blamed it on hospice. I could go on and on, just save your loved one and don’t go there.

I have worked in this building for almost 13 years. Since the building was purchased in 2016 by Providence I have seen more positive changes in two years than I saw in over 11 with the previous owners. Not only has the building gotten a facelift and continues to be updated and more aesthetically pleasing but the culture within has completely changed. Every staff member, many of whom have been there ten years plus care so much about our patients that they go above and beyond. Even on their time off they will come in whether it’s providing farm animals for the residents to experience or coming in and spending time with those that may not have anyone. We have raised the bar for nursing and will continue to do so. No place is perfect and there is always room for improvement and as a company we will always find ways to improve to make each persons stay the best it can be. Onward and upward! The sky is the limit.

Dear Madison County Residents,I am from out of town, but I want to share an experience I had in Anderson last month, that I am hoping will help some of you, who may end up in the same position I was in, where you will need to make important decisions on your loved ones behalf. My 90 year old father fell and broke his hip. It was very important that my sister in law and myself quickly find a rehab place for him where he could heal. After visiting three different establishments, we decided on the Providence Anderson Post Acute establishment located in Anderson on Madison Avenue. I am so impressed with the care my father was given in their Medicare Unit.Let me explain. Lets start with the nurses aides, as they had the most contact with my dad. They were amazing. They treated him with dignity and respect, always knocking before entering his room and closing the door when they would attend to his personal needs. They made sure he was clean and dressed. They helped him in and out of bed per the instructions from the therapists, (and his procedure changed as my dad progressed in his therapy.)Now, before I continue, let me give you some background on my dad. He was not one of those easy patients there. He was blind, sometimes confused and would call out off and on all during the night for my mother to come. This was very hard on everyone, yet the staff would greet us in the mornings with any positive news they had to share with us, to encourage us, and they still treated him kindly.About the nurses - they communicated well with us, and not only gave him good physical care, but also did what they could to help him emotionally. Not only did they answer our questions when we would arrive in the morning, but would call us if they had any important updates for us.The wonderful woman who cleaned his room was also so kind and considerate, and wanted to make sure she worked around our visiting schedule, as to not interrupt our visits, and the woman who did his laundry was also very pleasant and helpful. The therapists who worked with him were absolutely amazing. They worked hard with him. They pushed him to do his best and were so encouraging. They cheered him on with each success. They also communicated well with us, letting us know jut how he was doing. The activity director knew his name and would go to his room to invite him to activities, and another woman there initiated getting him a tape recorder with talking material for the blind. And last, but certainly not least, let me tell you about the director of the whole place. He came and introduced himself to us, and also left us a card with his cell phone number, in case we had any concerns. Also, I saw him one day, dressed in scrubs answering call buttons just as the aides did. I hold him in high respect for these two acts of kindness.I believe God directed us to Providence. During this hard time in our lives, with my blind dad frequently confused and needy, we found a place that was so helpful and with so many compassionate people. I hope this letter will help you also if you find yourself walking this same journey, needing someone to help your loved one. Please check out the Medicare unit there at Providence.Susan Adams
