This was our very first visit here, I took my mother for an eye exam. The staff was super nice and welcoming. Eunice in particular was very sweet and patient with us. She helped my mother pick out her new frames and made my mother feel comfortable with her explanations of the plan and billing information. Thanks so much 😊

I wouldn’t recommend this place. They never informed me or emailed me a confirmation of my appointment. Never called me to tell me my prescription where available to pick up. I called to ask for updates and was put on hold for 20 mins forcing me to call back twice. When I arrived no one greeted you. They told me to come in and pick up my prescription when I had to call to confirm they were ready they said I had to wait an hour just to pick up my glasses when the person I spoke to said I can come in a pick them up. I had to take an Uber here and never got to get my glasses from them. It was just very unprofessional the whole experience. Filing a claim for my money back.

Ive been coming here for a little over 10 years now. The office staff they have now is absolutely amazing. Everyone is kind, professional, patient, and even takes their time to assure you feel comfortable and have exactly what you need. Thank you so much Kiaa, Luz, and Sarah. You all are a great fit for the office. It was a pleasure coming there and being greeted by such wonderful courteous people. It truly makes a difference.

Two plus hour plus wait to be examined!The staff seemed completely not concerned!After 42 yrs. working in eye care industry, I have never experienced anything like this before. :(Made me wait outside!!!I am on Medicare and I was basically ignored for over two hours! They seem to be taking paying customers over me!* I walked out after 2 hrs waiting WITHOUT the eye exam! BOGUS insurance provider!

Eunice was very helpful when making decisions and she was a great person to speak with. She was direct and processed information quickly. Also helping us with picking out the lens and giving us a great deal. Overall, shes doing an amazing job as well as the other ladies and doctor. Continue to work hard!

Eunice us awesome I been seeing her more than 5 years I lost contact with her since the pandemic the Oviedo store closed temporarily and she transferred to Altamonte. One i was biking in that area i spotted her in the parking lot was so thrilled to see her I havent checked my eyes because the pandemic so I told her to set an appointment i got my exam and Eunice as usual took care of me with my glasses selection which she knows her glasses. I just want to say shes unbelievable and a great employee they need to clone her .I am so happy tofinally found her .keep up the good work!!!!.

This place is super busy on Tuesdays and Thursdays but the staff does their best to take care of everyone. I have never had a bad experience here. The staff is friendly and is willing to go through all the glasses they offer and will help you pick the best fit for you. My son and I had appointments at 11:30 and 12:30. We left the eye dr. at 1:20. Each appointment took an hour on their busiest day.I think most of the complaints in the reviews are from people who walked in with an attitude, they believe they are entitled, and shouldnt have to wait like everyone else. A little patience goes a long way.Also you can have your glasses shipped to your house so why would you waste their time by going in store to wait for the staff to fit you in to their already made appointment schedule. You just walked in, of course you would have to wait for an opening.

Kia was awesome and she got me a great deal. $30 dollars for a pair of glasses for like 2 months. The place gave off such a friendly vibe that I really liked. They had many great choices from thin and small glasses to big and bulky ones and everything in between.

Sarah went out of her way to be courteous and knowledgeable. She was very pleasant to deal with. It was a great experience for me and my husband.

I bought my glasses in Leesburg. As I couldnt get a appointment in Altamonte for a month. I went to Altamonte to get them adjusted and have them fix the plastic ear part. As it was loose the guy told me to use rubber cement on it. Instead of replacing it. When he was adjusting them he used pliers on the plastic ear part. And messed it up and didnt say anything to me. I will go all the way to Leesburg to get the problem fixed. As Altamonte cant get it right. I think Altamonte owes me a pair of new glasses. Since they messed them up. I WILL BE CALLING THERE MAIN OFFICE ABOUT THIS.

UNION BROTHERS BEWARE. I have been going here for 3 years. Year 1 had no problems, not amazing but not bad. Year 2 the doctor was a tool, just a rude human. Year 3 I didnt want to go there but I got a reminder to go, and I have weird insurance that they take. I set the appointment I get off work early, I get multiple texts asking to confirm the appointment, replied to all of them. I go in and they tell me they canceled it because I didnt give them a verbal approval. Didnt even give them time to fix the issue I left and I will not return. Im an Union electrician I take pride in my work, I hope none of my brothers waist my time with this establishment.

As soon as I walk in Im told I have to wear a mask. I told them I dont own any more masks I threw them all out when the CDC said that vaccinated people dont have to wear them. I asked them if they could give me ine. They asked me if I had an appointment, I replied no Im here as a walk in. They told me they dont take walk ins. Big sign in their window WALK INS WELCONE. They sure did not make me feel welcome at all. When I pointed to the sign she said we dont do walkins anymore.Just lost my whole family as customers

Just horrible very understaffed have been with them for over two years. They say they will call you back and they never do. Workers are very rude. Long hold times to make an appointment. Waiting inside the place just to pick up glasses took an hour. Staff is very rude and I say if I was ceo I would get a whole new staff.

All the staff are professional and down to earth miaa is super nice and understanding . I can honestly say they are getting a lot better on their time I was there like 30 min tops for my apt. And my glasses came in less than a week . My pick was maybe a total of 15-20 min because they have to get my glasses clean them and make sure they are perfect when given and once miaa brought them out she made sure I could see ok and fit my face right and once’s all that was good then I left... a lot of these reviews are based on there time but they are doing their job and making sure each Customer gets treated right and satisfied. I’m 1,000% satisfied with the care and attention they gave me . I’d rather them listen to me than have me in and out in 5 min and blind!

The staff here is always polite when my family and I come in. Airashon (the manager), has personally assisted my family for years. Things are harder now with tempers high due to coping with COVID policies and procedures that have had to be implemented for all our safety. I truly believe that some people just don’t get that. Well first of all when I went in I told young Spanish lady with long blonde hair I have an appt...I asked if I could wait inside and she said no..gave me papers to fill out and of course I had to go outside...Dr Jacoby is very nice..very concerned about you which is very much appreciated...The manager is always smiling and very professional and helpful..Super Nice!! Eunice helped me pick out a frame which I love...She is my favorite!!!! Super professional and makes you feel welcomed..like a friend..she takes her time..Beautiful smile..Eunice is my most favorite at Optical Outlet of Altamonte Springs...it means a lot even when someone smiles..very helpful and super friendly..Eunice should be recognized for being an amazing and awesome person..Her picture be up on the wall..I definately will be coming!!!

Ive been going to this company for years now for both my glasses and contacts, besides the fact that sometimes they’re really busy and you have to wait, I have never had a problem here my last frame didn’t feel like it looked good on me with my lenses poking out the sides. So when I went in for a new exam (early everything was done quickly and efficiently) I asked some questions about the lenses since I have a stigmatism and the result were AMAZINGGG I love my new frame and lenses they look chic with any outfit or theme. I highly recommend it here to all my friends and family.

Sara is the rudest associate and really should not be working in customer service. Overheard the heavy set blonde being disrespectful as well to another customer but luckily we only had to deal with the one. Airashon on the other hand was amazing. Right as we were about to leave because we weren’t happy with the service she jumped right in and was amazing.

This place is a joke. Not a single skilled optician in the building. Everyone is rude and has no time for you. They don’t tell you that you can’t come inside with your kids if the other parents come too. A 3:30 appointment is actually a 4:30 appointment so hope you’ve cancelled other plans for the day if you’re coming here. They overbook ON PURPOSE and tell you they can’t see you when your appointment time was that you can sign in and wait or go home and call to make another appointment.. like what?!? These people need to either close or figure it out because that’s not how you run an optical that’s how you run a nightclub.

Friendly service but crowded and unorganized.

Every time I come here it is an extremely long wait and the receptionist are always rude. They never take time appointments on time. If it wasn’t for the fact they are close to my home I wouldn’t ever come. I set two appointments for my children to be seen and just because I have my newborn with me they are refusing to see my children. I was told due to someone in their calls center not explaining to me that I couldn’t bring my newborn with me that I now have to reschedule both of my children’s appointments. So I’m standing outside in the rain With my two children and a newborn waiting for ariashon the office manager to explain to me why it’s ok for that to happen just because they have to many people in their office at this time. The doctor while walking around didn’t not come out one time to explain anything too me... whatever you do don’t come here excepting to be treated fairly or to be taken care of fast. I have been here now about 7-10 minutes just waiting to be talked to just be told by ariashon that it’s not the office problem I need to call corporate.

Dr Jacoby is Amazing, very friendly, knowledgeable and thorough. My issue is with one of the assistants there, I couldn’t get her name but she was African American with glasses and long braided hair...SO NASTY. Such an attitude. My first time here and left with a bad impression, she needs a new job if she’s gonna have that attitude.

STAY AWAY! This is place is horrible! My husband went in for a simple eye exam on a Saturday - their earliest appointment. It took two hours. His lenses were supposed to be here by 08.21. No call, no followup, no lenses. That was four weeks ago. They dont answer the phone most of the time and they are rude when they do bother to answer. Now they say the lenses will be here on Tuesday. If they are not, I am turning them into our insurance company and calling the bank to dispute the money we paid upfront for the lenses. What a bunch of scammers! How about NO stars on this one? They should not even be in business.FOLLOW UP! After horrible service and NO contact lenses ever being received - this place had nerve enough to dispute the charge back from our bank! We have reported them to our insurance company, and we will report them to the Better Business Bureau. FRAUD!

I would give no stars if I could. Dishonest!! Don’t go here. They lied and told me that my insurance company would not cover frames and lenses. Created a fake authorization form and told me that the insurance company sent them the form and they would not pay for the frames and lens unless I had cataracts. Made me pay out of pocket. I contacted the insurance company and they told me that they never sent them the form. Buyer beware.

The Dr at this location is not bad, but time and time again the customer service is horrible. Calls go unanswered. They treat you like a child if you dont agree with them. I dont use insurance, and am self pay, I have a ton of places to choose from to do business with. Apparently they dont need my business. I dont expect customer service from Disney, but basic common pleasantry and compentant employees should be a no brainier. My friends and family and business will be taking there business elsewhere.

Confirmation email stated the appointment was for 515. Got there and they said “nope, we are having system issues so it was moved to the 10th.” I just canceled the entire appointment. I’ve been going here for years but it’s starting to dwindle. Changed from 5 star to 1.

This was the closest eye doctor my insurance covered so I made an appointment. Everyone in the office was so pleasant and helpful. Even when I had to go back to have adjustments on my glasses Sarah took extra steps to make sure that my glasses were right and to let me know that if I need to come back to do so. Everyone there was so welcoming.

Worst service ever, they take no accountability for their actions. I ordered my glasses back in september. I called and called again and they all said they had forwarded it to the manager and a new pair of glasses was going to be sent to me. Its december and i am still waiting for my glasses. Dont recommend at all !

If I could give zero stars I would do so. Please don’t go to this place. They will charge you for special lenses that you’ve requested, and you will receive regular poly lenses. They are rude and will hang up on you. Beware of Laura who was very unpleasant and Vanessa who was untruthful with promising me a callback from a supervisor by last Saturday and it’s Tuesday. If you are covered under insurance please go elsewhere, and if you are paying out of pocket please go where you are treated kindly. We work hard for our money and customer service is important. This review is in no way reflective of the eye doctor but the “sales reps” that obviously hate their job and don’t value customers. I received a refund after escalating multiple times. I don’t always agree with negative comments but with Optical Outlets please know the reviews are mostly horrible for a reason!!
