Purchased a pair of glasses here last week. Andrea assisted me with finding the perfect pair. This was my first trip to Americas Best and I didn’t realize the level of custer service I would receive. Overall I was very pleased with my experience and the level of care I received from Andrea. Would definitely recommend to anyone in need of glasses/contacts.

This is a great place to get glasses and contacts. They have a club you can join for free eye exams for three years and discounts on products. The doctors and staff are nice, appointments were on time, they have a big selection, and the prices are very reasonable. I’ve visited this location five times and have had nothing but good service. They are also very diligent with Covid precautions.

Special thanks to a very well super well educated manager Elizabeth She does everything in her power and more to help. I also loved they way she handles and leads her crew. She is very profesional and experienced with everything she says and does. We need more real people like her. Listen i can right a book about my visits there but Im gonna keep it short and sweet Elizabeth has the right attitude and professionalism. Ive been with Americas Best for years now and usually theyve been good to me as far as contacts. I decided to finally order glasses. I thought I was taking advantage of a good deal: order two pairs for less. However, upon arriving to pick them up, one of the pairs wasnt at all what I picked out! The black cat eye pair was excellent quality. I picked out a similar pink frame but instead of receiving that pair, I got a thick brown mens pair. I was highly disappointed. I was told to find a picture of me in the frames (which I had already deleted) or to pick out something similar. Well I couldnt find anything similar so I did get a refund (check to be sent since I paid in cash :/), for the missing pair. Not sure how that mix up couldve happened when I watched the sales associate scan them both. I dont think Ill EVER order glasses here again. My Dad recommends Lens Crafters.

After visiting the eye center at Wal - mart on Rhinehart road in Sanford feeling embarrassed over needing a simple lens maintenance , I visited this location for the first time . The staff was EXTREMLY nice and got me right out of there with a smile. Americas Best Altamonte, I APPRECIATE YOU !

I went to Americas best to get my glasses for my family and I. We were very pleasant with the staff. As soon as we walked in we got greeted by the staff and felt very welcomed. I was very happy how the staff helps us pick out glasses and help me feel constable with the pair that I was selecting. I will recommend this place to anyone. I drive an hour just to go to there facility.

Very reluctant to try another place because of many bad experiences that I have had trying to find good prescription eye glasses, I am so happy that I took a chance on this place. Great eye exam. Talking me through every step with every concern regarding my prescription. I was having trouble deciding on the frame and Elizabeth was very helpful to me with making the right choice and even saving money. taking the time to explain how to take better care of my glasses. They said two weeks wait for the glasses and it was less than a week. What a difference. I am very happy, will shop again, thank you!!

This is literally a scam. I paid for eye care club but because of pandemic I couldn’t get an appointment. Cool, I understand we were on a lockdown. This business was nice while it lasted and I feel bad for having to write this review but I have been trying to get my prescription or just even a temporary prescription so I can see to work. My prescription expired, I have had the same prescription for years Since 3 rd grade getting glasses, and they literally told me they couldn’t override giving me the prescription because it expired. They don’t send you reminders to schedule another appointment like it says they will do. I get that it’s my fault but I haven’t been able to see at all this whole pandemic. Now I’m trying to schedule an appointment online and the page keeps redirecting me to the same search map. It won’t allow me to choose the location I want to schedule for. I feel so silly for paying for this eye care club $100 lost that I can’t get back.

My wife and I would like to express our thanks and gratitude to Elizabeth the General Manager and her excellent team of people that assisted us with our recent purchase of glasses. Some time had passed since we had updated our prescription, so there were many decisions that needed to be made for the best possible outcome. Elizabeth, Fabiola and the rest of the team worked through each of the adjustments with us patiently, and with much attention to details. This resulted in outstanding customer service and excellent purchasing experience. My wife and I are very satisfied with our selection and the customer service that we have received from Americas Best and want others to know that you are in good hands with this eyeglass store.

I should’ve looked at reviews before going to this location. Worst experience ever at America’s Best. If they’re not going to give temporary contacts they could at least say that. I felt like another number and the guy that helped me today had no personality or urge to even want to help. Honestly, I wish I went somewhere else. I went to this store for glasses for me and my daughter. I was greeted as soon as I walked in and the atmosphere was pleasant. Everyone was nice and gave us the attention we needed without being pushy. We spent about 2 hours there, not because the service was slow but because of the individualized attention and care of the sale rep. She explained all the sales, explained why my prescription need a smaller frame and thin lenses, as well as give us all the price point. It was refreshing to see an employee have knowledge of eye care. We ended up purchasing glasses for both my daughter and I. I had two pairs while my daughter had one. I will return when I need to renew my prescription.

Pricewise you cant fault this place but product-wise its abysmal. I ordered two pairs of reading glasses and asked that each pair be set up for different distances, one for book-reading and the other for a computer screen - pretty standard practice and something Ive done over and over through the years.When I got the glasses back they both felt weird - I normally put on a new pair of reading glasses and everything feels fine - putting on both of these pairs left me feeling like each eye was working independent of the other, which was very disorientating. The other point was that they were both set up incorrectly distance-wise - the reading pair seemed to be set for distance of two feet, while the computer pair were ridiculous - I went back and forth looking for the sweet spot for the focus and determined it was set for somewhere between 3 to 4 away! It basically meant that looking at the screen meant pushing it back some way to try and sharpen the images and text, while the keyboard itself stayed blurred. I went back and complained about both issues and they claimed they would fix it. Two weeks later I went back to pick up the glasses and as far as I can tell it feels like they basically did nothing other than just hold on to them for two weeks and try to hand them back to me as is. Worse, while the reading glasses are at least manageable for book-reading, one of the lenses keeps popping out and its near impossible to put it back in place without going back to the store. It just happened again yesterday and of course I cant do anything about it because the store has closed temporarily due to the virus.

I went to get an eye exam to be fitted for contact lenses. I explained that I had scratch my eye 8 months earlier, and i have been wearing eyeglasses since that time. I also explained that my eye glass prescription was less than 6 months old. After the tech had done all the preliminary tasks they do when you arrive, air test, depth perception, etc., and declining their 15 dollar recommended things we look for special I was able to see the doctor.After a very brief exchange, the Dr. insisted that I see a specialist due to the air puff test, as it registered a little high. I explained that while I appreciate the concern, I had seen a specialist for this in the past, and my results were all negative for any type of eye disease, and that this is brought up every time I get a new prescription.We went through the battery of test to correct my vision. You know, is one better, or two?... When asked why i stopped wearing my lenses, i explained that the last pair were bothering me, and I rubbed my eye and must have scratched the lens. It was only at THIS point did the Dr. say that she was not comfortable fitting me for lenses without seeing the specialist, but I was welcome to get a second opinion. Then proceeded to tell me that if I came back in 2-3 weeks, she would look again. When I asked what difference that short amount of time would do to my benefit when I had not worn lenses for 8 months, I was met with an indignant tone of Youre welcome to get someone else to see you.As i was leaving the office, I was told my visit would be 45 dollars. When I asked why, I was told for my eye glass prescription. AGAIN, I explained that i did not need an eyeglass prescription as I just had one, and not to mention that it was the same strength as my current prescription. I couldnt get any real answer, and as there was no point in arguing with the poor lady at the counter, I ultimately paid the fee, and left.I would absolutely not recommend this establishment to anyone. I am currently in the process of drafting a claim to their corporate office. It will be interesting to see how their business model plays out in the realm of charging patients, without any real assistance.

They say they are Americas Best, but only if you are 7 or older! We needed to get our 6 year old an eye exam before she goes into 1st grade. Americas Best wont see children until they are 7. According to the American Optometric Association (AOA), children then should have eye exams just before they enter the first grade — at about age 5 or 6. But I guess Americas Best knows better! They lost my business!

Just got off the phone with Elizabeth Guzman, the facility manager at America s Best in Altamonte. I was just asking for the name of the eye drop I was prescribed last time I came in. She refused to give me the name of my medication based on the fact I apparently had a balance with them. You cant deny a patient the name of their medication Elizabeth. Not only this is unethical. But it also tells me you care of about your money more than my well being. You take a look at all the bad reviews you have managed to rack up last year alone. This isnt a coincidence. You suck and your bad negative no can t do attitude reflect poorly on America s Best. I will be discussing this matter with your district manager.

This is by far the worst experience that I have had. None of the staff seem to be on the same page. Incorrect information is giving by the staff as well as the manager. Ive been twice and not once have my eyes been dilated. I was told my contacts would be arrive 7-10 business days. Ive been calling twice a week since the beginning of August only to find out the contacts were never ordered. I HATE I even gave them any business. I wish I had followed my first thought and went to a private practice in Lake Mary. I just want my prescription and will take my business elsewhere.

Joined the program $99 for 3 years worth of eye exams. One eye exam every 6 months. Since i work on a computer for 10 hrs a day, this is great for me. The doctor is very knowledgeable and friendly. She took her time and answered all my questions. The only reason I didn’t give 5 stars, is they ordered the wrong contacts. They called me after two weeks to say they were in. I went to pick up and noticed they weren’t the right ones. They reordered the correct ones but took another week and half. Will not be ordering from them anymore but I’ll continue to go for my eye exams and get copies of my prescription to buy else where. Also the wait is alittle long the last three times I’ve been.

I Happened To Find This Place By Chance And Im So Glad That I Did. Maria Made Me Feel Right At Home With Her Cheerful Attitude And Was Extremely Knowledgeable About The Eyeglass Frames. She Allowed Me To Take My Time Trying On Which Frames Fit My Comfort Level And Price Range. Patty Was Very Patient With Me Upon Checkout Explaining Several Times What Exactly I Would Be Paying For. They were busy but not a single associate greeted me or even acknowledged me and there were three within 20 feet of me. I used to love Americass Best and how convenient i was for me but after the nightmare they put me throught with my daughter and trying to get contacts for over 5 months and i gave up on them.They used my vision benefits for something it was never delivered to me, promised to refund them back to my insurance they never did, lost the benefits last year. They promised they will call me back, this was sometime in December. Its january 20th, 2020, they have yet called me back and of course my daughters last year benefits are lost, around $110 they pocketed and $110 I am short because i had to pay somewhere else for my daughter to get her contacts.I will NEVER go back to them. I wish the Caselberry location was still open.They also need to replace the lady they have at the front desk Andrea, she is rude and a big attitude problem.

I had to make two appointments the first was for glasses and the second was for contacts. I disliked the fact that I was unable to dilate my eyes at the first appointment and wasnt given the option as to when I would like to do it.The first doctor Laura Jankipraskey was welcoming and informative she made my first experience pleasant, it was the second doctor Cristina Sandoval that did not...I was there for a follow visit for my contacts in which she checked my eyes and made sure they were working well for me. The problem was when she dismissed me and didnt even know my eyes had not been dilated at my first appointment because she didnt read my chart prior to coming into the examination room. When I told her that my eyes had not been dilated she proceeds to say that she is not going to dilate my eyes because she is already behind and has three other patients to see after me. When she decided that she was going to dilate my eyes she was instructing me what to do with an attitude and even sighing In annoyance. She instructed me to wait in the waiting room while she seen her other patients so I was looking at the frames with my sister and I noticed my eyes felt this tight pressure and my sister asked the ladies at the front desk whether my eyes are supposed to be dilated with or without contacts and they informed us without. My sister let her know the doctor dilated mine with my contacts still in and that the doctor had an attitude. One of the ladies went and got the doctor and explained what happened and she stated she didnt know my contacts were in, but, she examined my eyes earlier with them in. She let me know they were going to get me another trial pair and she will check my eyes again after she finished seeing her other patients. When I was called back into the examination room she apologized and went on to explain how she was busy. I feel it was unprofessional and neglectful that she did not know about my eyes not previously having been dilated and the manner in which she conducted herself. I will never go to this location again and Im also going to contact the corporate office as well.

The eye exam was good, but the sales staff was under educated in regards to fitting glasses and misleading. Picked up a pair of glasses that felt comfortable but was told my eyesight would be distorted in that size (which found out from another location that is wrong...and bought the glasses from the other location also), first pair of glasses had a defect but the staff tried to convince me I was wrong the glasses were ok, was totally against the translucent lenses but was told that the issues I have would not happen with theirs (which was wrong). When I replaced the glasses at another Americas Best the Altamonte location would not reimburse me for the translucent lenses that I did not put in the glasses. I WOULD NEVER RECOMMEND THIS STORE! The Sanford location however has great service but due to this experience Americas Best is out for me. Oh...I contacted the corporate head quarters and not even a response.

Had a appointment when we walked in was told they had to reschedule for another day because doctor had just took their lunch 15 minutes ago and needed to do a phone conference my time means nothing to them then wanted me to hang around for 2 hours to see if someone didnt show up for their appointment like I have nothing to do all day so up set with my treatment will never never use them

I usually go to the Winter Garden location but I needed my glasses tightened quickly and I was in Altamonte. HUGE MISTAKE! I spent almost half an hour waiting just to get my glasses tightened. Apparently only one person in their office can tighten glasses. However, they’ve got three people at the reception desk checking in one patient. Needless to say I left without my glasses being tightened because I would’ve been waiting an hour most likely. Also, I came in the morning before they were busy so I don’t understand the delay. This office is extremely inefficient and slow. Do yourself a favor and go to another location unless you’ve got time to waste.

Comming here made me feel like I was at a used car dealership. They were very pushy in trying to upsell me on products that I did not need or want. Also I ordered a pair of glasses online, but they emailed me that the order could not be processed. I since went elsewere to buy my glasses. Lo and behold over 2 weeks later they processed the order and charged me for it despite the fact that I never authorized them to do so. There customer service department was no help at all. Most of the brands they carry are garbage, and whatever decent brands they have they dont carry very much selection of.

HORRIBLE SERVICE do NOT recommend!!! I make an appointment for Friday a week ahead of time just to be called the day before to be alerted that there will be no doctor present, that i will need to reschedule. I make an appointment for Saturday at 420. I arrive 10 minutes early to fill out my forms. They give me a form for my insurance to call and ask for an authorization number. I proceed to call the insurance company to be denied and asked for the provider to call back for this information. Not only when I am on the phone the front desk girl interupts me to snapidly ask me if i am finished, but to be told i wasnt supposed to fill that form out. Please tell me why you hand me the form them? I wait over an hour after my appointment to be seen. I pay the extra 15 dollars for the field test just to not have the air test to be done, because they are in a rush to get me out the door. I have a family history of glaucoma. I needed this test done, but no they are in a rush. I am finally seen by the doctor who is also in a rusb because she was supposed to leave 30 minutes ago and ends up not dialating my eyes to finish my exam, because shes in a rush. She wants me to schedule ANOTHER appointment to have this done PURELY BECAUSE SHE WANTS TO LEAVE!!!!!! This service is unacceptable for the fact they want me to make THREE trips there just to get a new prescription!!!!!! They are also running an ad on a monster jam tickets which the store REFUSED to honor because The system is down UNACCEPTABLE CUSTOMER SERVICE!!!! Will never spend my hard earned money here again!!!!!!

I went to Amaricas best to get en exam done for my daughter that is 12 years old. Elizabeth and Maria helped her pick out a few pairs that she felt comfortable and really liked. Fabiola the doctors tech helped her and guide her to the procedures and then to see the doctor. Dr. Velasco was very patient and helped her, and guide her to everything that she was doing to her. I recommend Amaericas best to everyone. The prices are great I even got my daughter two pairs instead of one. I even got my exam done and got my pair of glasses. Dr Velasco was more than patient with my son he got a test done as well. Elizabeth the store manager helped up and made us feel comfortable and answer any questions that we had.
