Great service. Seen quickly. Doctor was very nice. They followed up with me a few day’s later to see if I was feeling better, I had the flu, I did have a new symptom and was unsure if I should come back in and the Dr. called me back with in the hour to answer any questions and concerns I had. So happy I didn’t have to go back in. Would recommend to everyone.

I would not have thought to write a review but for the nurse Donna who I worked with. First of all, she’s the best phlebotomist I have ever encountered and I have seen a great many of them at work. If you are afraid of the needle, come to this location. It was an amazing experience. The doctor was polite and succinct. She was very professional as was all the staff. I was treated in a way that I imagine would be called perfection in terms of patient/provider staff relations. They couldn’t have been nicer or more accommodating. I really felt like they, and in particular Nurse Donna were here to help me. It was a nice feeling that is certainly rare. Thank you to the staff who in a world of cold gigantic medical companies acted with warmth and care for an individual.

Love the friendliness of the staff. Was great to be able to go in and get an X-ray without having to go somewhere else for it. Didnt have to wait long at all to get in either.

Dropped in this morning and was seen immediately. Processing went quickly, in a very friendly manner. My diagnosis and treatment was equally efficient and caring. I wholeheartedly recommend the folks that work at MedExpress and their fine facility.

Everyone here was so helpful and kind. It was very clean and the front desk was very welcoming. Its hard to go to the doctor when you are not feeling well and it can be very stressful but once I walked in and was greeted with a smile the stress went away and I knew I was going to get taken care of. Thanks again!!

Ive been here a few times, misdiagnosed each time and ended up going to the ER after each visit. I wouldnt recommend going here, the practioners are kind but they dont listen to the patient and make up their own mind about what the symptoms are rather trusting what the patient is explaining to them. Its sad, theyre very friendly and have a very nice facility, however, Ive been left with permanent scaring on my face due to being misdiagnosed and treated for a condition I didnt have because they didnt trust my word on my symptoms. Id just stay away from here altogether.

We had such a great experience here with Nurse Britney and Dr Amy. They took such good care of our youngest. The front desk staff even gave our oldest coloring pages and crayons. We were so impressed and so grateful. I would recommend this office to anyone!

Well I took my parents to MedExpress Urgent Care, and I was so happy the way that they treat them. I usually dont like to share to much but this time I will do it because they deserve to be noticed. The staff were so nice, professional, respectful and caring. My parents were so happy to be treated like that. Compare to other place WE HIGHLY RECOMMEND YOU GUYS! Went in there for toothache for antibiotic,told doctor when I take vicodin it makes me sick,told me I had to bring in old script to get something else,really treated me like I was some dope phene,Im a military veteran and went here because va canceled my appt,very unprofessional, would take yourself somewhere else

I love this urgent care! Ive visited other urgent care facilities but Med Express was by far my best experience. Not only was the wait time quick but the staff was awesome. They were very attentive and answered all of my questions. Truly the right people for the medical industry. Im glad to see their presence in Algonquin because this really is a reliable place to visit. i look forward to going to Med Express from now on!

I was taken care of quickly and efficiently. The staff couldn’t be any nicer, very attentive to my concerns and any other questions I had. I didn’t meet one person there I didn’t like. If you don’t have health insurance like myself, I highly recommend this place, they worked with me on everything and have a great, financially reasonable program. What a great place to go when you’re not feeling well. Heidi at the front desk is extremely helpful, Christina the nurse is sweet and understanding, and Colleen the APN is warm kind and wanting to help you and make sure you feel better. Tried to write my review and explain situation and site would not allow me to finish writing..........................Wrong diagnosis......will share experience with neighborhood sites and reach out to insurance company. Do NOT seek service here . Serious problems could arise if you you take their diagnosis as truth. Luckily I did not. Mistakes happen...however this one should not have and could have had very bad conscientious. Thank God I trusted my gut that they were not correct and took actions elsewhere.

I went in for the first time today and was pleasantly surprised! Very nice and clean facility. All of the staff were friendly and helpful! And I was done in about half an hour! They were even able to fill my prescription on site so I saved a trip to the pharmacy!

This place is neat & clean staff is friendly, doctor is knowledgeable prescribed medicine helping me out with my issue, but the only thing bothers me that I have to pay a huge amount out of my pocket my insurance covered only 75$ and the basic cost with out any lab test including the doctor fee was little higher, I wish they will work with other insurances like illine care , Medicaid, meridian etc

Super fast even when there are people waiting, everyone is nice, costs without insurance are definitely affordable, there is a pharmacy on site, I recommend this more than advocate health, to be honest

I had heard good things about MedExpress but at my visit they completely exceeded my expectations. All of the staff went above and beyond to ensure we were taken care of. Truly outstanding service!

Extremely long wait times for no apparent reason, it was not busy. Did not warn us of the time it would take deapite being in there with two small children. And worst of all, there was a paitent who said out loud she had tested positive for TB and they did not even so much as ask her to out on a mask! Completely unsafe and unbelievable.

Clean facility, friendly staff, and efficient/professional care! While I hope I dont have to venture back anytime soon, I will definitely come back to MedExpress Algonquin if future need arises. I highly recommend this facility for a local urgent care in the Algonquin/Crystal Lake/Lake in the Hills area.

Had to come here for some required tests. They have a very clean facility, extremely helpful/friendly staff and an easy to find location. Would definitely recommend.

I had a great experience at MedExpress! Colleen, Ashley, and Amanda took great care of my injury during my visit. Everything from Amanda giving me a bottle of water (and opening it due to my injury), Ashley providing friendly conversation while treating my injury, and Colleen ordering a splint to protect my laceration. Had to go here today for chronic bronchitis.I was treated compassionately by all the staff from checking in, being treated, to checking out. They all cared about me and listened to my history to best treat me and my symptoms. Thank you to all that helped in my care! I appreciate your help and kindness!!

Awesome experience here! Brand new location, very clean and right off Randall. I went in for a sinus infection. The whole staff from the front desk, to nurses, and the Physician Assistant, Kristina S, were all great to work with. No wait time and they called me a few days later to check on me.

So I called first asking questions and the registrar was amazing. Very understanding and polite. Answered all my questions. Went there and was registered quickly. Then taken back pretty fast. Everyone introduced themselves which was nice but i couldn’t remember who was who. The pa xtina (i think that was her name) was amazing. She explained everything step by step she was doing to me. I had my daughter and mother with me and the ladies were extremely nice to them and explained everything to them. I would recommend this place to everyone. They actually helped me more then Centegra did. Thank you ladies for taking great care of me. Great team you guys are and I’m glad i know i have a place to go to if i need a urgent care place.

Very friendly staff. Facility was clean and not crowded. Treatment for flu was thorough and had me back on my feet within a few days. Would highly recommend this urgent care facility.

I brought my son on a Sunday in for what I suspected was the flu. The doctor did not do a flu test and sent us home with a diagnosis of sinus infection, pharyngitis, and possible strep. I opted out of the strep test as I was told the prescribed antibiotic for the other issues would take care of the strep as well if it was present.Three doses of the antibiotic later he was getting worse, not better. I took him to his normal pediatrician where they did the flu swab, which came back positive.Now Im stuck with two bills and extra charges for an unnecessary antibiotic because the doctor did not perform a simple flu test despite my protestations given his very flu-like symptoms and widespread infection rate at his school. Unfortunately, by the time we saw the pediatrician it was too late for Tamiflu. Had he gotten the proper diagnosis the first time maybe his suffering could have been shortened a bit.That said, the staff was pleasant and the wait times were decent. However, due to the misdiagnosis Im not sure we will be going back. Luckily this time there was no lasting damage to anything other than my bank account.

This facility has been fantastic. It is clean and the care is through. The staff is outstanding, diagnosing the problem and explaining everything. I was in and out in less then half the time then other urgent care clinics. Kristina, Schaefer, my P.A. was outstanding.

All the staff was super freindly. I showed up right before closing and the staff stayed after hours to help me. I forgot some of my paperwork and one of the nurses there personally dropped it off at my house on her way home. Outstanding customer service!!!!

We came in late for stitches for my husband. They did not have to stay late but they did and they really cared about us and got my husband patched up and taken care of like new. A big thanks to Amal, Britney, Christina and Dr. Najwa for staying late and helping us when we were in need!!

I went in to get xrays the doc recommend a walking boot for protecting my foot but they didnt have any there, what medical place doesnt have supplies like that? But the staff was awesome otherwise.

Great experience from receptionist, nurse, doctor (Amy Dinello, PAC), and checkout. Prices are very reasonable, and I was able to get my prescription at a discount here as well. I was diagnosed with tonsillitis.

Horrible treatment with front desk. Heidi was especially rude. I wouldn’t call it urgent care. Very slow and the doctors— wait they aren’t even doctors, they are PAs, have no bedside manner whatsoever. A smile goes along way ! Try to avoid if possible. Will not return !

We recently went to MedExpress to try something new and local for my son who has been experiencing a sore throat and low fever. We were greeted by a very friendly, fast and efficient front office staff by the name of Cristina who was detailed in explaining all of the policies and insurance requirements and greeted us with a smile. As soon as we were signed in, nurse Christina was ready for us in the room to take our vitals! Was getting to used to this quick process and then the dr appears! We did the routine rabid strep test (negative) and it was suggested to send out for a culture which was 3-4 days (peak season with strep going around) Our son who is 10 did not have a fever yet so dr ruled out flu. Gave us some suggestions on medicine to take, best practices at home. Super friendly and helpful and I felt confident it was just a temporary bug that he was experiencing.24 hours later, we have a high fever, chills, sore throat, cough, stuffy nose, you name it, he had it. Concerned, we went for a second opinion. By this point, I ruled out strep because it went from the sore throat to his fever being the area of concern. I was greeted at a different location which shall remain nameless, with no warmth or smiles, no small talk to my son, that resulted in an 1 hour and a half of my time, barely looked at my son or me, would tell me a test would take 5 minutes and would come back 20+ minutes later. Negative again for a rabid strep test, negative for flu (thank goodness) all to hear that this particular urgent care, does not write Rx for anti-biotics for children, it is frowned upon by pediatricians In shock with a now worse child, it was a waste of time and money and all I got was a sorry that they couldnt help. The suggestion was to now make a third attempt and dr appt with our pediatrician in order for her to make the decision. I am on to your game now :) trying to get more $ for the clinic that is affiliated with the hospital! ***PS they also suggested a culture test, and I kindly reminded them a third time I was waiting on those results so there was no need to duplicate efforts and bill my insurance more.Walking out of the urgent care in frustration, I get a call back from a very friendly front office team member with results, positive for strep. I knew it! She apologized that it took the 4 days they told me (totally not upset by it at all because they told me the time frame) and was so empathetic with my frustration and now relief that I knew my boy was sick! Even quoted sometimes moms just know when their child is sick it was like she could sense my relief and comfort from her call through the phone. Rx was sent out immediately and filled within 15 minutes. Had I know what I know now, I would have NEVER gotten a second opinion. The drs and nurses at MedExpress KNOW what they are doing. They care! We are a family of 5 and unfortunately can expect strep to hit the rest of our home, and we know we will be going to MedExpress to help us heal with this friendly, efficient, top notch service that we recently experienced.

I just had the absolute worst experience. I attempted to ask additional questions after Amy Dinello rudely rushed me out of the room. She looked at me at said, “did you not just hear what I told you in the room back there?” I was in complete shock at her rudeness that I was speechless. This woman should not be working with the public whatsoever. This type of individual is toxic and will ruin your business.

Im not to thrilled with my experience at this location. I came in on Saturday 1/13/2018 for my Son and Daughter having bad wet coughs and son complaining his ear was hurting.. I thought I would try this place instead of going to Shermans urgent care..1.When doing all the registration I asked how their billing was, if they do 2 separate bills ( 1 for the doctor and 1 for the facility like other urgent cares are) She looked at me confused and all she could say is < Im not sure that was it no looking into it or anything.2. So, my 2nd issue is when going back to get vitals all checked. I guess you only use an ear lobe monitor to check oxygen level/or pulse. It worked on my son, but when it came to my daughter ( who is only 18months old) it decided not to work. She did not like it, screaming, crying, turning reg and getting hot ( which when a baby is sick, maybe not aggravate her more??) So the nurse kept trying and trying and I was holding her as tight as I could not wanting to hurt her. Could tell that they were getting annoyed with it and gave up to go into the other room.3. This is still part of Number 2 a bit. So we are in the other room, nurse still acted a bit annoyed so didnt help how I was feeling ( plus sick myself and tired). They tried yet again to do the scanner and wouldnt work, so they just walk out frustrated not saying anything, and a min later the doc walks in. Does check and what not, by this time my daughter is tired, cranky and very agitated by them. They want to try 1 more time.. SO here we go again ( it was a nice touch giving gold fish to her, I liked that, but didnt mean a million stickers when she wasnt even wanting them, throwing them on the ground.) Again monitor wasnt working.4. Still part of number 2 and 3. So, With this now going on for way to long I asked if they had the finger scanner since she does a littler better with that.. Was told, yea but they dont work. Umm, my family doctor uses them and they work perfectly fine. So they try it, only try for like 1 second and since it didnt pick it up right away they gave up and kept trying the dumb ear one!! The doctor at the end just said well its not working, but her lungs sound ok, so should be good.. Should Be? Your telling me for a brand new facility you only have one of these scanners?!?! You have to be joking with me. Even when I said that they get asthma symptoms because I have asthma. So didnt get a reading on that at all, and left not knowing if her oxygen level and all was good..5. If I would have got home and something happened to my daughter because she wasnt getting enough oxygen and not knowing because you only have 1 D**n reader, believe me you wouldnt hear the end of it. SO the point in all this??To point out how unprofessional this place was and lact of equipment. I am not happy at all and will just go to Shermans or even Huntleys Urgent care which is a little farther for me.Cant wait to get this bill..

If you want to waste your time and be treated by clowns, this is the place to go!!

I went because I had a sore throat I have no insurance of course I was aware I had to pay out of pocket but they just checked my vitals took one look at my tonsil and told me I have to go to the ER so I just paid $120 just so you can tell me I have to go to the ER it’s a little ridiculous if you ask me I might as well used the $120 money to pay for the ER bill
