Posting for my mom who recently visited as she is not able to: My optometrist recently retired. I have a remarkably high prescription with severe astigmatism, and a cornea condition. I am difficult to get a prescription on the first try, with any hope of getting a good contact fit with a clear or crisp prescription. On a recommendation I saw Dr. J. Elmore at America’s Best and knew I had found my new optometrist. She was friendly, knowledgeable, and thorough. Within a very short time of flipping through the prescription lenses she was able to get my prescription for my new contacts. She answered all my questions, did not rush me, and gave me solid information regarding the cornea condition.

Dennise is always the best Optician when I am there. Always helpful and happy! My glasses were ready in 3 days. Amazing!

I received two pairs of glasses. one had a prescription that felt far too strong and the other pair felt like they had no prescription at all?? is this why the prices are lower than other places? i went back for a copy of my prescription that they never even offered to me or gave to me and they would not give it to me.

I made the bad decision to buy my glasses here, the eye exam was not free and even with insurance I had to pay $ 150 dollars, the receptionist was in a bad mood and they gave me some glasses that I did not choose, when I asked if I could do Some change they sent me to Walmart because they have good accessories there. I will definitely never return your free exam ads and 2 pairs for $ 69 are a lie. By the way, Walmart surpasses them in quality, attention, variety and of course prices. Do not get involved, they do not give good deals to Latinos

This was my first visit here, and I will DEFINITELY be back for my annual exams! Everyone from the young woman who greeted me (and took my and my sons temperature to ensure covid protocol!) to the extremely kind and thorough doctor, to Rudy who very patiently calculated several options to ensure I was best using my vision insurance, was so kind and wonderful. They were busy, but still maintaining covid protocol and making sure each customer was helped and no one was rushed to make their eyeglass/contact selections. While we were there, I saw the staff cleaning/sanitizing the store and the glasses themselves regularly. This was a great experience, and I would like to thank everyone who patiently worked with me at the Algonquin location yesterday evening!!

I have been an Americas best customer for 20 years.Today, At the Algonquin store (and only the Algonquin store) i went in at 945 on a Wednesday and not one customer viable in the building but three employees up front. I asked about an exam, they said they can get me in in 6 days from now (really 6 days). I got an appointment in Schaumburg in 4 hours after leaving the Algonquin store, elgin had openings today also. The Algonquin location needs to get there stuff together.I Dont recommend this location to anyone.

First time customer. I just needed a contact exam today since I ran out. They were accommodating when I needed to reschedule my appointment a week out. Everyone was great and the process took no time. Reception was nice, doctors treated me well, and Dennise in sales really helped me with the best price. Also signed up for their membership after she found some other locations around where I travel to often.

Great place. Always friendly. Staff are wonderful. Great prices.

I have mixed feelings about this place. We bought our 4 year old daughters glasses here and the people helping us walked away instead of helping pick out frames. Come to find out the frames were way to big for her and then they didnt follow the prescription for the lenses. We went there to pick up the glasses and the lady at the front hands my 4 year old a card with different font size on it and says here read this. I went there for an eye exam the technician and Optometrist were great. Very helpful and informative.

Worst customer service ever. The staff was rude when tried to book appointment. Waited for them to call me back but never heard from them. Bad customer service.

Great experience at this office! One of the eye doctors Jamie was awesome, she answered all of our questions, was extremely knowledgeable and “opened my eyes” to some new information that my old eye doctor didn’t provide for me. Awesome choices of frames as well. Excited I made the switch to this office!

I made the mistake of coming here to look for frames. I needed new glasses and had to get progressive lenses. I went in on a Saturday and they were a bit busy. I told the girls at the front desk what I needed and asked for help. They said no one was available. So I spent a lot of time looking for frames. Not once did anyone ask If I needed help. When I found some to consider I once again asked for help. I was told to sit and wait. After 20 minutes and asking the girls how long it would be she could not say and obviously did not care. I decided to leave.I found Eye Boutique online and went there right after. I received help immediately and had wonderful service. I bought $200.00 frames and progressive lenses that are expensive. I cant say enough about their selection and service. I have vision insurance which covers most of the cost. Americas Best lost a big sale. I would never recommend this place. Dont waste your time.

Said glasses would be 7 to 10 days. After more than two weeks I called. They said glasses were picked up. They put in order again. Two weeks later they called that glasses in. Only offered glass cleaner for inconvenience. Took over half an hour for someone to refund. So many switch offs, no one responsible. Doctor the best, if you can get past staff.

We went to pick up our glasses on a Wed after 9 am and store is closed. Website shows the store should be open

The doctor’s visit was fine. I expected the upsell for upgraded lenses etc. but it got extravagant fast. Even after I agreed to around $350 for two pairs, it wouldn’t ring up right. The math was off. I waited 20 minutes for a manager to get off the phone. It never happened. Eventually I gave up and picked the two for $70 with eye exam just to get out after about two hours. (I had to go to work) Also, I didn’t get a call that my glasses were ready, and after about three weeks, I went in to check the status. I am pretty happy with the two pairs plus exam for $70. I will buy my expensive pair elsewhere. Customer service and pricing were not at the level I expected.

I called multiple times, and never returned my call to make an appointment. Sounds like they are understaffed. Had to make appointment at another location.

Great experience! I did schedule an appt beforehand and knew exactly which frames I wanted. Overall time took 30 min.I dont think I could speak highly enough about Dr Ian Y. Professional, charming, efficient...This location is absolutely fantastic from Jasmine at the front desk to Maricela who took good care of me afterward.Great store, great team!

My boyfriend broke his glasses last minute and we came in 5 minutes to close. Pierre took us in and was so kind and very helpful! Its hard to find places that will work with you last minute and we are super greatful. And they even had a screw to fix them till we got a new pair. Thanks again!

Great Doctor and very friendly and helpful staff. Its my second visit, but first as a patient. I came here last year with a friend for her exam and she had the same great experience. They are a lot more busy than last year and its easy to see why. What stands out is the exam. There is another Dr. there, but the one I saw and my friend saw last year was Dr. Ymalay. He takes the time and listens to my complaints and then addresses them after the exam and kind of connects the dots as to why I had those complaints and how its related to my prescription and health of my eye. No one really did that before. He made some suggestions as to the type of contacts I should use and the kind of glasses to get; not in a pushy or salesman kind of way, but more of an informative way. He also took pictures of my retina and explained how everything works and how things would look if it wasnt healthy. Its pretty cool to see whats inside your eye.Now the frames arent high end or anything, but I thought the prices were more than reasonable for what youre getting. Ive paid almost 2x more for the same pair in past places. The guy that helped me (Larry or Gary...? sorry) was great, he knew his stuff and made it super easy. A lot of the other customers there had positive things to say about the Dr as well while they were buying there glasses. There was a lot of nice seeing you again. I just had an overall good experience from beginning to end and would recommend this place to anyone.

I am beyond pleased with the customer service here. My appointment was on time and thorough. I needed something adjusted with my glasses and the staff was very patient and thorough there as well. Then, I needed to do an exchange and Dr. Gary was beyond helpful! I have never received such great care at an eye appt before. I am a customer for life.

Another great location to get the BEST service & eye wear at fantastic prices! As always, the friendly, courteous & professional staff are amazing at their jobs! All businesses should be this exceptional !

Professional and friendly staff! I typically avoid visiting the eye doctor unless absolutely necessary but had a great experience! Will definitely continue coming back for all of my eye care needs and will suggest Americas Best to family and friends!

They would get 5 stars based on the doc I saw, he was excellent. Prices are OK, just dont plan on the deal they advertise for a decent pair of glasses. But the service is below average from the people on the floor. Almost gave a 1 star for my pick up. Lady dropped off glasses and walked away. Came back 10 min later and rushed me out.

The exam and ordering was fine, but they apparently dont like to keep you updated on your order and dont stand by when they tell you your order will arrive. Ill get it when I get it I guess. Good start, but thats pointless with the POOR finish.I now notice that improperly threaded (and mismatched) screws were used, as a lens has popped out. I hope the threading on the frames hasnt been damaged thereby destroying the frames. I see that my order was delayed for half arsed assembly. I hereby reduce my 1 star to zero.

Tremendous! Pierre is the best EVER. There is no store better than this. Believe me folks. Pierre is a such a cutie :) He helped me pick out new glasses just like his! Thanks Pierre! I would highly recommend working with Pierre! He was so helpfully I gave him HUGE HUG :)) hehehehe. I love my new glasses! THANK YOU SO MUCH GUYS. You really are... AMERICAS BEST.... GET IT! LOLOL.

My wife needed glasses, so we were looking for some budget options. We were looking between Walmart and Target and noticed that Americas Best had a 2 glasses for $70 with exam, which was close to just the exam at our other options.I am so glad we came here instead, I have to admit I didnt have high expectations but was blown away.The staff was amazing, we interacted with 3 different people, and everything transitioned smoothly, while we were there longer than we thought, I didnt feel like we were waiting or wasting time. Everyone from the person who performed the pre exam to the doctor to the associate who rang us out, made sure to explain everything to us and made us feel very comfortable.Im not sure what I can say about the selection as I dont really keep up on the fashion if womens glasses. That said, there were 3 sections of the glasses for the deal we were interested in, and were able to find glasses that worked well, and I dont feel like we were stuck with any bad options.While I dont consider these knocks on the business, I thought Id mention. You will spend more time then you assume here. Also, they will try to upsell you, but it isnt very high pressure, and we were told what could always be added later.I didnt really think that I would prefer a specific vision center, but this is now my first choice.
