And I have been to them all! If you workout like me, just book a deep tissue massage with her every 4 weeks and thank me later. My husband is also now a client and we have never felt better. Absolute 5-Star! I had the Deep Tissue Massage 60 Minute (Massage) with Lisa Foulk and I couldnt be happier. To start, Lisa has just a wonderful energy and calming personality, so the minute you get on the table you start to feel relaxed. I have significant issues with lower lumber and recent shoulder surgeries and Lisa was able to work around all of my issues, and she even applied pinpoint effort to muscles that have been strained due to overcompensation for damaged areas. Her deep tissue work with hands/forearms is the perfect touch with just the right amount of pressure to impact the muscle and get the deep knots moving. I highly recommend Lisa to anyone who needs deep tissue work! Lisa is an absolute EXPERT!

I truly like my visits for lymphatic massags. I learn new things about my body and Ive been a nurse for 24yrs. They are super helpful and friendly. I just love everything about the place and decided to use other services.

Its really nice to be back.Everyone I have ever encountered at Alternative Health has beenfriendly and downright delightful. I feel less like a customer andmore like a friend. I chat and laugh often with everyone from theowner to the newest employees.The results of their hair removal services are unmatched by anyoneelse that I know of in the DC/MD/VA area. I have been to other placesthat were happy to zap me with a needle or a laser, but never seemedto produce results. But everyone at Alternative Health knows whatthey are doing and produces fantastic results.I live in Maryland, so coming down here is a long trip, but it isabsolutely worthwhile. This is still the top place I recommend tofriends. So far, everyone I know who has tried Alternative Health hasbeen very happy.

I went to this place to consult about the electrolysis treatment, the specialist first spoke to me about laser beam and I try to convince myself that the laser beam treatment was better because it destroyed the hair in bigger areas in comparison of electrolysis that is hair by hair . and he told me again and again that the laser was better and that the laser treatment was cheaper.I decided to go to another place and get more information about electrolysis and of course I performed the electrolysis treatment since it is the only method that removes hair permanently and you do not have to go back and do the same treatment in the same area, the specialist of ALTERNATIVE HEALT ASSOCIATES told me that the electrolysis treatment would be painful that would not be effective and that it would take a long time, which is NOT TRUE ...I think that if you do not like doing this type of treatment, they should remove it from your website and not offer it.

As an African American woman it is very difficult to find a spa that caters to all women. Alternative Health Associates are very informative and professional. They didnt try to sell me anything like some of the neighboring spas. The office gives you a very relaxed feeling. I have been using AHA for over 6 years now and I love it there!

My experience on the appointment has soured me so much on the place that I cant bring myself to go back.Ive had considerable amounts of laser done elsewhere, so was interested in getting rid of remaining hair on legs, bikini, and underarms. During the consultation, the specialist told me we would do a mix of laser and electrolysis on my legs & bikini area to see which worked best (she believed I would still benefit more from laser). We agreed I would pay the cost of one session of laser at $190.Three weeks later at the appointment, I told her I had decided against electrolysis. She did the laser on the bikini area, and then said to me since we were not doing any electrolysis, weve got extra time. Would you like to do the underarms? I declined at first, then changed my mind and said OK.The session ended and she goes to pull up my bill and says it will be $350.... $190 for bikini area and $160 for the underarms. I was really taken by surprise. I objected a lot to this because she hadnt told me when she did the underarms that I was actually incurring an additional $160 charge! Her compromise was that I could come back and pay it at a later date.So I rate them 0 star on integrity and ethics for tricking me into an extra $160 charge.They will provide a good service, but have no qualms over tricking you into racking up extra charges. This business has unethical practices and you should go into appointments with great caution and not let them give you anything or perform extras without being really clear about the costs.

She is skilled, trustworthy, honest and so nice. The reason I gave it a 4 star has nothing to do with her. She does get a 5 star. But its a bit pricy. So that is why I made it a 4 star. But its been about a year now since my last visit, so its about time I make another appointment here soon. But yes. I so recommend her.

Ive been seeing Sarah for electrolysis for over a year now and find her to be very professional and effective. The price is a bit high, but in this case you do get what you pay for.

I have had Laser treatments for over 6 years now at various spas. They are the ONLY spa that I have been to that didnt try and push a sale on me. They listened to what I needed and was very honest. As a matter of fact, they told me in certain areas that I could just to electrology instead of laser since I just needed a few hairs treated. This saved me hundreds while another spa told me that I definitely needed a package of treatments. Staff is A++++.

I have never had a poor massage here. The staff is friendly and helpful. The can work with you in all sorts of scenarios. I have seen them when I had a broken ankle, a lower back problem and horrible chronic pain issues. They have always managed to find a way to,help.

I have found my new massage therapist! Lisa Foulk is awesome! Super easy to talk to, she hears what my issues are and attends to all of them. She also provides some feedback on the areas of concern, things she notices and some tips on what I can do while I’m at home. She uses the right amount of pressure and her technique is so good that both times I’ve seen her, I fell asleep for a little bit. The reception staff are friendly as well, easy to get checked in, easy to check out. They do not have a parking lot but there is always plenty of street parking available. Unfortunately they do not take insurance but I was able to get the information I needed to submit a claim for reimbursement for my insurance. Looking forward to the facial I have scheduled with Sara, I have heard good things. So glad to have found you AHA!
