I had a very good experience here. I was extremely nervous about having surgery, but everyone was very kind and accommodating. Anesthesiologist kept me comfortable and surprisingly cheerful with some magical drug cocktail. Pre and post-op nurses were skilled, knowledgeable, and funny - really put me at ease. The surgery center sent a get well card signed by said nurses later, which was a nice touch. Id recommend. The orthopedist, Dr. Jarrel, was nice and I appreciate his work fixing up my knee. No post-surgery complications, and he wasnt stingy with the pain meds, which meant I was comfortable after surgery, too.

So far so good! I did have to pay my deductible up front but thats understandable. They were friendly and caring. I had zero issues. Dr McGee is wonderful and so nice! The wait seemed like forever but once I was back and out things ran smoothly ❤ I appreciate the follow up calls and concerns to make sure I was ok and taken care of!

Went in for surgery in my wrist. The surgeon was great the admin was great the pre-op nurses were not. I was nervous and wemt in a panic attack and they just stood there looking at me one nurse was trying to calm me down then says your like this cuz you need to calm down, you dont need to be here you leave if you want.. You can go! Then they blew the veins in both my hands and then upon leaving the only thing they said was if you can walk you can leave. It was a horrible experience! Ive never encountered such unprofessional emotionless hospital staff as I did with most of them ever!

Last year, I wrote a review of this surgery center, and they only got one star. I had issues with getting money back after I overpaid. I’d like to share what happened after that. Pretty much right after I submitted the review, I got a phone call from the administrator of the surgery center. David Covert was extremely apologetic and he got my money to me right away.I found myself having to get surgery again this year, and decided to give them another chance. Again, I have almost met my deductible but it hasn’t shown up on my insurance, so they wanted me to pay what they thought I owed. I was leery about paying it, only because I had the issues from before. I contacted David Covert, and he remembered me, and he arranged it so we will wait for my insurance payment. They have definitely redeemed themselves, and I appreciate it very much.

Dr Eric Chapman did my right shoulder rotator cuff repair in July of 2019. He did a GREAT job and now, one year later, I have full use of my arm and am so thankful for him!!! When he did my surgery I was not able to lift my arm at all!!! He’s very personable, did not rush us through our appointments and took the time to answer our questions and explain everything to us that he had done. He was as excited as we were that the surgery was a complete success!!!! I would recommend him a thousand times over??

They only reason this place has a 2.9 rating is because you have to give at least one star to comment . Made appt to get MRI only to be told after waiting 2 hours past appt that they dont do MRIs on that day. Schedule another appt for 3 weeks later and when I show they tell me that their staff hadnt verified my Insurance...United Health Care ...and that they couldnt take me in until they did that. I was not about to waste another two hours . I have a torn hamstring and my leg and toes have turned black in the meantime. Great place keep up the good work.

Dr. Burtenshaw was great when I broke my ankle. However, when I had severe neck pain and migraines for 6 straight days, the earliest I could get a Telemedicine appt. with a PA was two weeks out. I contacted the President of NM Orthopedics and he told me they couldn’t treat me?! Seriously?! How about an X-Ray of my neck? They are an orthopedic practice! How about a cortisone shot to try and relieve the pain? No! President Jeffrey Racca said, “we can’t treat acute pain. Go to an ER.” Yet, they’ll schedule a Telemedicine appt. for my issue?! Makes no sense!!

Had surgery at NMOSC on my hand by Dr Patton, and was very impressed. Everyone was great from the beginning of the process to the end - nurses, anesthesiology, and Dr Patton. They all did an excellent job of making me comfortable throughout the process and thorough explanations of what they were going to do. Julie, the discharge nurse, took excellent care of me when the procedure was over and made sure I had enough fluids to get my strength back before I left.

Communication with this place is a nightmare! My surgeons assistant called me directly on my cell phone to request that I schedule a blood panel before my upcoming procedure. No problem. When I tried to call her back (within 30 minutes) with the labs fax number, I couldnt get through NM Orthos switchboard. It took four attempts to get connected to the correct physicians office, which then dumped me into a voicemail that said Leave a detailed message and well get back to you within one business day Are you kidding me?! This is Friday!! EVERYTHING could be arranged in short order if I could just speak to a specific person for fifteen seconds! Note: NM Orthopedics can call me directly, and I answer. But its virtually impossible to make a direct call back. Its a labyrinth of recordings and prompts. When you finally get through to a human being (a middle school girl, it would seem), the first question they ask you is your date of birth. (!) Totally Kafkaesque!

We have been waiting over a hour and a half past our appointment time. All we get are excuses my opinion of this Dr. Richie could not be lower. It was over two hours before we saw the doctor and he could not even be bothered to apologize for the delay. Apparently he is not just a orthopaedic doctor but is also a expert on diets and is more thanHappy to waste your time expounding on his personal favorite diet. Truly not impressed.

Had severe pain on the inside of my left knee and saw Dr. Junick. He was as professional as you can get. What I loved about him was that there was no doctor talk. He talked on a patient level and explained what needed to be done. I scheduled the operation for a partial knee replacement and it went better than I expected. About 4 months after the operation and rehab I was back running and playing softball without any pain or stiffness. I have complete flexibility and I am still playing. Love this Doctor and I would recommend him to anyone.

This is very much a practice focused solely on how many people they can shove through their system for a profit. Appointments are only available months in advance and we just waited over an hour before we finally left They do not respect their patients time. We have gone here in the past and still have the same knee issue a year in. I would not recommend this practice.

Sorry, guys: this is ridiculously bad management disguised as dedicated health care. All medical offices - in fact, anyone in a field that books appointments - has to figure out appropriate scheduling. Failing to even try is just rude and disrespectful. What part of the word “appointment” do they not get?My first appointment the doctor saw me for literally 2 minutes 4 weeks later my wrist is still in a lot of pain.Find someone else that just dont churn patients for profit and actually cares.

Was a 4 star expo Erie center until it came to follow-up. I saw Dr. Pacheco for a foot injury issue, he was prompt and friendly and obviously knowledgeable. He gave me a prescription for custom made orthotics. My insurance asked for his office to make a simple phone call to request an authorization. His staff called me back and blatantly refused to even bother making the call, because they said they never get approved anyway. I had just spoken to my insurance company and was clearly told with a Drs authorization that they ABSOLUTELY WOULD be approved. This is a huge mega-clinic that while staffed by competent Doctors, cannot be bothered to help their patients in any way if it involves a few minutes of extra work. This is the Wal-Mart of Doctors Offices, where no one can be bothered to help you. I appreciate Dr. Pacheco but absolutely abhor the way I was treated by his staff member. I give four stars to Dr. Pacheco and zero to his staff member, for a total rating of two stars. I would recommend trying to seek out another provider.

I had to review to offset that 1 star thing that sounds like the person never went there. I have been to NMO for my knees and for a back problem. While they are plenty busy, and sometimes you have to wait to see them, they have treated me excellently and efficiently. That is, once you get to see them, you dont have to wait long, they are very thorough, and they know how to fix problems, surgically if necessary.

EOB says issues not payable and NOT patient responsiblity, and since they appealed, they are keeping MY refund until appeal is done. Billing does not answer phone or return phone calls. Notes made by billing were not truthful (maybe insurance fraud?) Very angry and frustrated. This is unprofessional and untrustworthy.

Horrible scheduling and they do just try to cram as many people as they can in. It didn’t seem they had spent much time with people as they rolled out fairly quick. All the comments people have left are true. I waited over an hour from my scheduled time before I decided to leave. A lady that had been there before me said she been there an hour and half and when she asked when she’d be seen she was told there were 3 ahead of her. At that point I got a refund of my copo and left. If you end up having to wait hours, demand your copo back and go else where. Funny though a the clerk tried to discourage me by saying the next available would Jan 4th but if you call right now they have availability lmao. Screw this place, go else where.

If I could give less than 1 star I would. The staff in general are okay as is the wait times but the drs are NOT! My dad had shoulder surgery with one of the NM ortho drs and it went well. My experience is much different. I was having catching pains in my hip joint, went to urgent care and had xrays done. eventually I ended up in Dr. Conrads care. I was originally told that my hips had a slight malformation causing a possible tear in the labrem of my hip joint... called FAI... something I was just born with, so they wanted me to get a MRI with contrast. I did that and it came back showing a tear in the hip. I even still have a copy of the report stating a tear. He even drew out the tear, its shape and approx. size on a piece of paper. Dr. Conrad then decided that a cortisone shot into the joint was the way to go. I got the painful shot which caused me to have more pain the first few days and then no major change in the usual catching pains. Went back a few months later... mainly due to constantly being rescheduled without contacting me or notifying me of this change, let alone asking me if its okay. When I went back, Dr. Conrad then said that my hips in the xrays were TEXTBOOK PERFECT and that SOMETIMES A MRI SHOWS A TEAR WHEN THERE ISNT ONE which sounded off but he was the dr so I put my trust in him. so he thought maybe it was the tendon in front of my joint... got ANOTHER cortisone shot into the tendon per dr orders. He referred me to get both cortisone shots from a Dr. Patton. The first time went well but the second time dr. patton seemed much more interested in flirting with the tech in the room that paying attention to what he was doing! This shot made everything way worse!! to the point where I couldnt even manage a simply grocery shopping trip without severe pain. When I went back to him he seemed perplexed and said he didnt know what was wrong and that he WASNT CONFIDENT THAT THERE WAS EVEN ANYTHING WRONG. making my TWO YEAR ordeal seem like it was all in my head and that my pain wasnt even real! Told me to go see someone else and then referred me to his co worker! I decided that I would find someone else, somewhere else. Found a wonderful surgeon who took one look at my MRI and knew immediately that MORE than 35% of my labrum is torn and was astonished that Dr. Conrad didnt see this. He also told me that the cortisone shot into my tendon was completely unnecessary! This new doctor scheduled me for surgery the very same day! It is 100% my belief that this doctor is simply there to make money, bringing me back again and again and again... paying a $50.00 co pay every time I went in. I spent two years of my life in pain, putting my trust in this Dr. in the hopes that he would actually help me but he didnt.. he just made sure to collect my money.. at least a couple of hundred dollars before telling me it was in my head. DO NOT GO SEE THIS DR!!! AND DO GO ANYWHERE HE REFERS!

I have been going for about a year had back surgery with them in December that went ok I guess. A few times called me to reschedule after a month of having an appointment for another month wait. One time had a follow up waited in office then got charged a copayment to have dr. Say I can lift 30 lbs. didn’t even look at me or do anything. I paid for something a 1 min. Phone call could of covered . But what happened today is what is making me write a bad review. For the last couple of weeks I had been having pain again. I figured I would talk about it with my last follow up knowing it was a couple weeks away. Well I got stuck in traffic and called letting them know I was going to be a little late. I was 20 minutes late. They told me I would have to reschedule for another 2 months. I tried to tell them I was in pain again but they didn’t care. They knew I called so why do that to me. I understand I was a little late but the fact that they couldn’t see me because of 20 min is unbelievable after being polite and calling letting them know. I doubt they called someone and had them fill my spot in 20 minutes. I’m just angry I had to drive for a little over an hour for nothing. I guess all the other reviews are right they don’t care about patients cram as many as they can in a day to make money. Make people wait. If this pain doesn’t subside I will be looking for another dr.

ZERO stars for this guy!Dr Robert Wallach is NOT very concerned about his patients. After 5 years of multiple visits to him for chronic back pain he was unable to relieve the pain and said there was nothing he could do to help.He suggested we go out of state for treatment of chronic back pain, which we did do.We found an out of state orthopedic surgeon who looked at the films and said he could fix the problem with an orthoscopic procedure. When the disability claim processor called for Dr Wallach s input he responded with I cannot confirm or deny that the patient is in painThis is VERY infuriating especially since he was the one who suggested that we seek treatment out of state. If he really was concerned about his patients, he would have supported the diagnosis of the out of state orthopedic surgeon.Could this be the result of a doctor who is unhappy because he will not be the recipient of the money that pays for the surgery?! Hes already received 5 years of insurance money!

I did not like this place because after surgery the Dr I had been seeing since 06 took me off my pain medication very quickly. It was not even 3 weeks after the surgery when he did this, which also meant he let them remove my stitches with out being on any type of pain killer, which was very painful because of how tight the stitches were in. I had also been taking the pain killers for almost 6 years from my previous primary because of my condition HE diagnosed me with & said I desperately needed the operations. Despite this I continued with my recovery as best as I could and am continuing to see him untill I am fully recovered. I also feel he is over loaded with patients so he seems to make quick decisions & does not seem like he is focusing enough time on me or my concerns & seems like he is always in a rush. When I woke up from surgery he did not come see me to check if I had any questions or concerns, see how I was feeling, he didnt speak to my family who were out in the waiting room, or even let them know my surgery went ok. I did not have a pre-op appointment before surgery to make sure I was okay to go through with the surgery. Every follow up appointment I have with him seems to be very rushed... I believe (not absolutely sure) he takes on too many patients & does not focus enough time on each one. Or at least thats how I feel when I go in for my follow up appointments. I was also told i would only take 6-8 weeks to heal and be able to walk again normally, which was not true and my physical therapist told me on the 31st of December I still could not drive yet either, so I am still not completely healed, and my surgery was mid August 15. He seems to be an amazing person, is a good surgeon and previous to my surgery I had heard very good things about him as a surgeon from a few good sources. I am not saying his surgery skills are bad or anything went wrong during surgery because it was a success, but I am still going through P.T. like I mentioned before. I just think I could have been focused on a lot more by the surgeon (not the physical therapist) and gone through less pain then I had to go through. This Dr. is a foot doctor named Dr. Pacheco who was also my surgeon...

I had my son seen and he would only speak to my 14 year old son and did not examine his knee at all. I dont even think he looked at the mri that we had to go and get it at 930 at night (because thats how late a child should be up doing an mri). Then he told him he would never play any sports and he would always have to wear braces on his knee and tape them. Needless to say I stopped going to him and got a second opinion. My son will be playing sports and his new Dr. says he is good knees and would never tell someone they cant do something. He talked to me his mother not my teenage son. I believe that this dr needs to retire his bed side manner is horrible and he should take more time to listen to his patients and there issues rather than blow them off.

He was seen by the doctor and was prescribed physical therapy for a possible torn labrum. His follow up appointment was another 8 weeks out. We arrived at 2:15 for his 2:30 appointment and finally left at 4:15 after waiting for 2 hours and we never even saw the doctor. What a Joke. I guess if your the only game in town you can treat people this way.
