This organization like others in the help industry is only as good as the people running it. I stayed 9-10 months here in 2008-2009 and one married older couple were great. When they retired, the new younger couple were terrible.
I struggle with addiction and was running on empty. The Salvation Army took me in and showed me love and continue to rebuild my character and shape me into the man i need to be. This is a wonderful program, the staff here are excellent and kind and work with you. I am blessed to be a part of this program.
Ive been coming to the Salvation Army about twice a month for ty their food pantry. They offer a very generous selection of food. Its usually, almost more than I can handle carrying and riding the bus.
Heard the new people who oversee this place arent the best of people to be handling a Salvation Army. Some of the people who live there have mentioned how cruel and nasty these people are. Sad when people come for help and get hurt instead. :(
If you look hard enough you will find nice little hidden treasures. I love this dtore
