Had an appointment today for my 15 year old. Had to bring her 8 year old sibling with us.We were told policy prevents them from allowing us to remain together. I asked for the policy and had the cops called on me.Cops were pretty cool and understood where I was coming from. They wouldnt provide this policy to them either so they sat with the little one so the other could keep her appointment. The Doctor told us that they could have made an exception. I would give negative stars if possible.*update*Owner response is, as expected, false. Police were called because I asked to see this policy and said we would wait because the ONLY people that could provide it were in a meeting. There was no emergency. No one was threatened. If that was the case, I wouldve been detained and not HELPED by local law enforcement. They called the police either because were poor or Black, perhaps both. They were reported via the agency that sent us. The agency even apologized for this atrocious behavior but not IMA group! Nope. They defended it. *see below* For a policy that is so far still not provided or available to view. The Doctor told us that they couldve made an exception especially during these trying times. Instead, they chose to call the police on a Mom and her 2 children for simply asking for proof that they were being refused to be seen based on a policy that they couldnt provide. No voices were raised. No yelling or threats were exchanged. We simply offered to wait for proof of this policy (a website, a print out, a poster in the waiting room- anything) It was a perfectly reasonable request when being denied to keep an appointment because the 8 year old didnt have child care on a half day of school.Nobody goes to this office by choice. They are mandated by workers comp, social security, etc... Therefore there is no means of pursuing this further or we would have other than reporting this horrendous behavior to the mandating agency. The local law enforcement was also contacted and thanked for handling this call with such class and care. So, the owner can respond however they like but, without an admittance of inexcusable behavior by their staff and an apology, I will continue sharing our story with anyone who will listen. There is no video or photographic proof as that policy was clearly posted on the waiting room wall AND the appointment paperwork and was acknowledged and respected by us. We also didnt show up with symptoms of Covid19 as that policy was clearly posted and available. I am still waiting to this day for a copy of the only 2 people (including children) are allowed at an appointment policy which the owner couldve easily listed below and still hasnt. This should tell you all you need to know about their response...*update*

Tried calling the 800 number they give you to call and it is just a loop to nowhere. Call 518 number on website for site location, no one answered and no way to leave a message. Sent an email got no answer. Come to my appointment today with my son because Im in a wheelchair and need help and he was my only option for today and Im turned away because no children allowed.... All of this would of been avoided if they actually answered their phone!!!! WHY HAVE PHONE NUMBERS AND AN EMAIL LISTED FOR NO ONE TO ACTUALLY ANSWER!!!!

Given the tough times we are facing, I cant say this was a terrible appointment. The wait times were doable, and the staff was friendly. I appreciated the care Dr. Kidd gave me when she realized I had other issues going on far beyond the ones I was sent to be evaluated for. My only complaint was not knowing I would be required to stay and for x-rays after the visit but that was pretty quick too.

UPDATE: 07/06/2020 6:30 pm Although the administrative staff failed me, Dr. Miller was kind enough to contact me directly to make things right. I am changing my review from 1 star to 5 stars but the rating is intended for the doctor directly. If I could somehow give one star only to the office employee that I spoke with this afternoon, I would.*The administrative staff Never followed through with my appointment that was scheduled for today, 07/06/2020 at 3:30 pm. No phone call or email so I called them and waited over twenty minutes for a very rude and unprofessional woman who claimed they sent me an email on June 19th which they never did. The only email I had from them was from July 1st confirming that they received my medical history forms. She stated that now that it was past 3:30pm that Id have to wait almost another month for an appointment. Told her I will find another doctor myself- LM

I find the phycologist to not have soft bedside manners with an autistic. Hold. He made my son very uncomfortable. My son didnt want to talk to him. It was a waste of my time. Theres nothing those Drs could not figure out by meeting him that IEPs all Drs notes couldnt inform them of.

I had to go there for my determination of SSI. Ive been dealing with depression for 20 years, have multiple panic attacks a day and have been diagnosed with PTSD since losing my sister and fiancee as well as a near drowning experience in the middle of the ocean. The meeting with their doctor, who was just a wacky psychologist, was 5 minutes and I didnt get to ask any questions or bring up information I thought would be useful. She recommended I get off my medication and start seeing a psychologist instead of a psychiatrist. She said she did not believe in Western medicine for anxiety/depression. She recommended I take a warm towel and put it over my head when Im having an attack. By far the worst doctor I have spoken to in 20 years of dealing with this.

SSA uses this group to perform medical exams independent of your own doctors similar to WCB insurance carriers. was not an unpleasant experience and wait times were within reason.

The doctors here are some of the dumbest doctors around. They get piad to denied you. When i went there I was in the back talking to the doctors for about 10 minutes for the both of the doctors he saw. They told me i would be there about 1 hour. The doctors most likely did not go over his medical history and the xrays, mris i had done. They where rude and did not seem to care about anything i was trying to tell them but them selfs and there money. They waste your time they tell you will be there for an hour we where there for almost 2 hours. They place was not that clean at all. Its smelled and it was kind of nasty there. They really should let you pick out the doctors you want to go to not Social Security doctors because they are beyond dumb. I was really getting piss off at the doctor for how dumb he they where. I am sorry you cant fix dumb as people. I should be allowed to go to my own doctor who knows all about my medical history. Social security send you here becouse its there doctor and they get paid to denie you this really should change.

Worst place to work in the capital area. Unprofessional, back stabbing work culture is promoted by upper management through their actions…although to your face they act like they have no idea it is happening. They hired two people to help them resolve the work place culture and make it run more smoothly and fired them both (don’t know why they were fired, they did improve the work culture while they were there though). At one time this place seemed like a company you could make a career at. Most are lucky to last 6 months due to the horrid conditions. The woman who works the front desk is one of the rudest people I have met in my lifetime.Jobs maybe scarce but pass on this place. And god help you if you have to see one of their bottom of the barrel, Medicaid rate doctors. I wouldn’t let them remove a splinter let alone evaluate me for a disability claim,.

The staff made a mistake on the forms that I needed to be present to the government. Because the paperwork must be delivered on a sealed, tamper proof envelope . I only found out after the government official pointed it out at the interview. I came directly from said interview to get the problem rectified. Ive been here for about an hour. Very unprofessional. I just saw the woman that was supposedly helping me come out to recieved a food delivery from dominoes and avoided eye contact with me. I now need to change my baby but the one bathroom they have is beyond disgusting. I recommend that you avoid this place like the plague.

This place is despicable, they told us to be here at 1245 and we werent seen till 230, when asked for an explanation they lied and said they called us 4 times, whilst we were sitting 5 feet from the sign in window. Nice try though, and the help available here is a joke. Physicians and nurses here likely got their license out of a Gumball machine and the help desk people should look into asking people if they want fries with that at a drive thru. Do not go here unless you want to leave unhelped and angry.

Called there about making appointment. Was treated extremely rudely by lady on phone who even hung up on me in the middle of a question i attempted to ask. Never said goodbye or have a good day, just gave an annoyed sigh and hung up. Sorry i actually tried to make her work during her work hours.

I have been working for IMA for over 20 years. It is a wonderful company and team to work with. It is a fast growing, fast paced environment with lots of opportunity for advancement for those who excel. The company mission has always been to help the underserved, disabled and disadvantaged. Some of the reviews left here are disheartening by those we attempt to help. If you are considering a career here, do not hesitate, there is tremendous opportunity and we will welcome you.
