My first experience at Waverly was awesome I loved Dr. Tamas! Unfortunately my second experience was not so great, I had a cleaning done with a hygienist named Ashley, she was very aggressive which was hurting me, but my wincing wasn’t a red flag I guess so she kept going, and she seemed annoyed that my teeth were so stained like I was being scolded, and appeared to be in a hurry so was going too fast. I’ve heard Sarah is an amazing hygienist and rebooked my next cleaning with her.

They treated me Extremely well and they truly cared about my problem and they listened to me. Wonderful comfortable relaxing atmosphere run by really nice people and an confident well talented Dentist. I highly recommend.

I reached out to Dr. Tamas with an emergency situation, and she fit me in very quickly. It turned out I needed a difficult root canal and a crown. She made a referral to an Endodontist and when I returned she prepped my tooth for the crown. When it came time to seat it she paid extra attention to make sure my bite was comfortable.Dr. Tamas is very skilled and efficient, explains everything, and she absolutely wants to make sure you are comfortable while she is doing work in your mouth. I am so happy with the way she handled everything.I definitely will and do recommend Dr. Tamas to anyone that needs a Dentist, shes amazing.

Dr.Tamas and her staff are wonderful, and very affordable as I have no insurance, I had a rather urgent situation and they got me in very quickly and took the time to explain my options with me and take my wishes into account, I was so pleased with their treatment I made an appointment for my Husband who desperately needed a tooth extracted, we are both very pleased with the entire experience and will continue to use Waverly Dental for all our needs.

This morning I found my self needing a new dentist for emergency treatment. I called and was in the office 15 minutes later. Dr. Tamas enters a room with a bright smile, and a firm handshake (yes, women appreciate those too.) She was kind, which is so important for those of us who get a bit worried during dental cares. She explained my current situation, provided me with options, and supported me in deciding on tooth extraction. She made room in her day a few hours later for the procedure. Dr. Tamas reminded me I was in charge and stop her for any reason. The extraction was tough...and I was in a lot of pain within the hour, due to all the pressure, but appropriate medications had been provided. When leaving the office I told Tammy at reception...Dr. Tamas may be small, but she is mighty. I have an appointment for a cleaning and treatment plan next week...so glad to have found a dental office I am comfortable with and have a goal of making sure I am cared for.

I am new to the area and needed to establish with a dentist. I passed Waverly Dental on my way home and stopped in to see about an appointment. The receptionist was very friendly and helpful. She made me an appointment within the same week, and informed me of a coupon special for cleaning, exam and X-rays at an awesome price. The day of my appointment I waited less than five minutes before the hygenist came out to meet me. She was professional and friendly. She took the X-rays and then cleaned my teeth; I was pleased to see that she used the machine for cleaning. There was no discomfort and I especially liked the polish she used on my teeth. The dentist came in and discussed my X-rays and did a quick exam. She also was friendly and very professional. I will definitely be returning to a Waverly Dental.

We had an amazing experience today at Waverly Dental. It was my daughters first time going to the dentist. She was so scared and unsure. Sara did such a good job in calming my daughters fear. Sara showed her all the tools and explained what each one does before she used them. She was so kind and gentle and very calming. Dr. Tamas and the staff are terrific.The receptionist is extremely friendly, helpful and professional. The doctor has put together a great staff that made me feel at ease. I had to get a crown, which sucks but I knew I needed one, and the good doctor explained the choices and didnt push any unnessicery work at all. I have been to dentist that seem like used car salesmen but she was not like that at all. The doctor was concern with my comfort and made sure that I knew I had veto power if I felt too much pain or was unsure what was going on during the procedure. Very highly recommended! Doctor Tamas will be the only dentist I use, as long as she is in the area. The best experience I have had, in what for me is a bit of a torture chamber in that chair.

Was greeted as always with smiles and interest in our lives. Wait was minimal. Tech was responsive to my needs and told me what is needed. There was some floss fibers left in my teeth. The Dr. Was able to see what was happening with my teeth and was responsive when i conferred with what she was saying. I was hoping to get a filling fixed but there was no time so they got me an appointment the next day. Thanks and will keep coming back.

I had a dental emergency which Waverly Dental of Albany and especially Dr. Tamas and her assistant so graciously accepted and took professional care of for me. My Dentist was away and I needed timely care as I am having Knee replacement surgery in one week. I need a replacement crownan a tooth which had deteriorated and needed care which was scheduled for October. The crown came off yesterday and to day I am expecting a new one before undergoing my knee surgery. I cannot express enough my appreciation for the care I received. I would recommend this practice and Dr. Tamas to anyone who appreciates the level of care I received.

Never fear, Dr. Tamas will make your worst dental fears a little less fearful. Whether it is the great fantastic front reception with the warm welcome or the power blasting teeth cleaning hygienists (they do a really thorough job there) or if you need some serious heavy cringeworthy work to be done, the dental assistant and Dr. Tamas got you covered. She is not afraid get dirty, while humming along to some Katy Perry, as she casually yanks one of those suckers out. Luckily when she says grab the Russians, you know it is going to be over soon. But they can give you sedatives if your fear is so big that you cant endure the metal sounds against your chompers. Dont wait a decade, go in for this amazing experience and wonderful staff, if only every dental office was this good, less people would have a real fear dentists. Thanks!PS - I know I will feel better in a week, so I am writing this before the pain kicks in and the numb wears off. I might feel differently in three hours.

Everyone is kind and welcoming. I asked for last appointment of the day, which I got, and I arrived at 4pm. Procedure took till after 5, and I still had 3 smiling faces there with me. They all said goodnight and asked me if I was feeling ok.

The stars makes it fun getting your mouth violated. Lol the way they explain each step and their dentist slang was wonderful. They all have a fantastic sense of humor. Im almost looking forward to going back. Lol

8/5/17So I guess I am confused because the business website shows totally different staff than on Google?Even the dentist is different, the website has Dr. Alexay Tamas listed as the dentist.Because of this confusion I am going to choose somewhere else. I was actually thinking about giving them my business until I investigated further.I did give an extra stars because the customer service was good when I called to inquire about pricing.

The hygienist (Sarah) at at Waverley Dental is very careful and thorough. She did the most complete cleaning that I’ve had in the past five years, I’m glad to have found someone competent and nice. Dr. Tamas replaced several fillings and a crown that had gone bad. The fit and my bite were perfect when she finished. I have a general fear of dentists - due to some problems in the past - but Dr. Tamas hums (or sings) very quietly to the background music and has incredible patience. I will be back.March 2020. I have changed dentists after having an endodontist perform a complete evaluation of my teeth. Even with X-rays and two yearly exams, Dr. Tamas overlooked a major health issue, and the endodontist found extensive decay in two molars had been untreated. Now, root canals, reconstruction and crowns for the two teeth will cost over $7000.

I honestly hate going to the dentist..(I am sure most people do). The ladies up front are sweet as can be! Matt the hygenist is so wonderful! He put me at ease, and explained things really well as well as giving me a detailed plan of attack for my teeth issues. Dr. Nguyen is very kind and also made me feel at ease, and he didnt make me feel guilty about not going to a dentist for the length of time I hadnt. I still am not crazy about going to dentist, but I dont dread it anymore. I feel safe and secure in this teams hands, which makes it less of a worry for me. :) I highly recommend this office and team!
